This was an interesting visit. I parked in the lot and couldn't find the restaurant till I realized it was the same restaurant as this egg breakfast place. Then I saw the Burger Club sign. We were the first ones there, so ordering was very quick. But the food did take quite long to make despite no one was there. And I bought a combo, but they were out of 3 drinks in the soda fountain. And I drink diet; of course out of that too. So that wasn't great. The burgers are of the "smash" type and were good. So tide turning upwards! And the tater tots were perfectly cooked. So overall, the experience left me mixed. The price was very reasonable. They'd get a star back if not for the drink situation.
The Blondy cheese burger was fresh, well seasoned, and juicy. The waffle fries were also hot and freshly made. Indoor seating is limited, and the Burger Club shares a space with Egghead, so if you have trouble finding it, it's located inside the same restaurant!
Burger spot inside of an Egghead Sando cafe. Was craving a burger and found that the Burger Club was the closest and had the best reviews, so we decided to check it out. Stopped by on a Sunday and it was empty which was great , but they had to close at 7 that day but hours stated they close at 8. Ordered a double smash burger and the waffle fries. The burger was ok and had good flavors, but the waffle fries were one of the best I've had. Very crispy and had a nice crunch to it. This place wasn't memorable for me, but still worth checking out.
I've been to another location and decided to give this one a try. My husband had never had one of their burgers. He usually goes for a BBQ burger and thankfully they had one. He enjoyed it but he liked the sauce that came with the fries more. My toddler enjoyed the food which is great for me. We're gonna come back to try their other burgers.
Two of us ate for under $20! Quality food for affordable prices, is this real? Wife and I got two Plain Janes and fries to go. We ordered online and the food was ready when we walked in on schedule. The fries portion is enough to share with 2 or 3 people. I've also ate at the restaurant before and it is nice and clean. Plenty of parking. I hope they can stay in business, its a great spot. You can even get cheap gas at 7 eleven across the parking lot.
The burgers are amazing! The rest is ho hum. Some tips... order at the counter and pay cash. You can use the kiosk to order but it only takes card and they add a convenience fee which you're not told about. If you pay cash at the counter, this isn't an issue. If you want extra ketchup, don't pay for it on the kiosk, there are packets over by the utensils and soda machine. We paid extra for burger sauce and ketchup and were told when we picked up our order that they were out of burger sauce even though we still got charged for it. To make up for it, they gave us extra free ketchup Our party ordered three different burgers and three different sides. For sides we got the waffle fries, the waffle fries with spicy seasoning, and the tater tots. The fried sides were all okay, we overpaid for 2 of the 3 because we used the kiosk and paid extra for burger sauce that they were apparently out of but the kiosk still let us order it. All the fried stuff was just okay. The burgers were all amazing! We tried the Wild West, the Blondy Cheeseburger and the BBL-T (w/o onions). They were all tasty, the Wild West seemed a bit of a mess because of the sauce but was reportedly tasty all the same. We sat in the corner of the restaurant closest to the intersection of Cottle and Santa Teresa. While seated there we had whiffs of burger cooking and sewage smell (presumably from the bathroom). That wasn't great but we dealt with it. We ordered our meals for dine in but they came all packaged up in boxes and bags because we were told they were out of trays. Although we later saw an order being delivered on a tray so I'm not sure if they only have a handful of trays or what. When we were there the dining room was basically empty. It seems they do a large amount of to go/door dash business. I would definitely go back for the burgers. Maybe get them to go or door dash them. The fried sides were fine, just don't pay for any extras.
Yummy little hidden gem in San Jose! Located inside the egghead sando location, there's a separate iPad kiosk labeled for burger club! It's VERY well priced for this economy! We tried their smash burger (can be a little more oily due to the amount of ooey gooey cheese inside) with two Patties!! You can definitely taste the smash grill flavor. The Blondy Cheeseburger has a very nice balance with the lettuce and tomato offsetting a little bit of the grease in a good burger. Food comes out fast and there's a LOT of seating inside, very quiet and quaint so you can sit and chat with no problems! Definitely will be coming back for a burger.
$3 for a cheeseburger is such a steal in the Bay. I came here with the intention to eat at Egghead Sando but Burger Club's (located inside Egghead) competitive prices seemed too good to pass up. We tried the Chubby Chic and Wild West. The chicken is pleasantly crispy and tender and well-seasoned. No complaints. The Wild came with a few pieces of bacon. Both sandwiches came out hot and fresh. Wait time was about 10 minutes for the food to come out and the store was almost empty which is fine but I could imagine it taking longer when it is busy. Nonetheless, I think I will be sticking to In-N-Out for my hamburgers and fries.
This place has great burgers at great prices. Came here Friday night and it was empty. The place is usually like this but it's always clean, the service is always fast the food is great. Got 2 smash burgers, they come with about 5 oz of patty and they are delicious. Seasoned just right and cooked with that crisp. I get the tater tot's because they hit the spot. Great prices for great burgers, great spot for the family.
My boyfriend and I have been wanting to try smash burgers for a long time. Saw this new spot pop up on Yelp and knew we had to try it. It's located in the same spot as egghead sando. There's a parking lot out front. There's some seating on the inside. You can order at the counter or the machine. Plain Jane: 5/5, My boyfriend loved the flavor of the burger. The burger had a crispy edge and the sauce on it was fireee Blondy cheeseburger: 4/5, I've never had a smash burger and I loved it!! Next time I want to eat it there because I think taking it to go made the bun soggy. Tator tots and potato's: 3.5/5, I liked the tastier tots more because they stayed crispy. The fries were just okay! Nothing special Burger club sauce: 5/5, you have to get extra sauce. It's soooo good. It has a little kick but it's so flavorful
These are some very tasty burgers, nice fried side dishes, and a long time to get my food. I tried the BBL-T and the Burger Club Smash, both of which were excellent. AND reasonably priced. I mean, nothing to complain about at all. My litmus test is usually In-N-Out, and yes, these burgers are better than the old standby. The fact they are barely more expensive is a huge plus. I also split waffle fries and tater tots. The waffle fries were okay, a little soggy even though I ate them about 3 minutes after my order was handed over. Not sure what happened there but they were fine. The tater tots were great, I would say just about at my limit for salt tolerance. So if you're in the Joshua Weissman camp of "you can't oversalt a fry" then these will be up your alley. For me, ketchup with its acidic sweetness was the only condiment that would work to offset the high salt level, the spread was too savory. Speaking of the spread, they add some sort of spicy component to it. It's still mild, but if you're a no-spice type then be cautious. The only big issue was the overly long wait. I get it's hard to estimate how long food takes, especially for a new pop up like this, but if you say 13 minutes it can't be 26 minutes. That's just too far off. Inside (and outside) this is Egghead Sando Cafe. It's clean, somewhat modern, in a big parking lot. AND a security guard, for some reason. I didn't think Almaden Valley was a hot bed of criminal activity but I guess you never know. This are of San Jose is woefully bereft of smash burgers, so this is a great addition. I guess they have a few small teething pains but given the quality and price I think we can overlook them. Ordering is via a tablet and it's credit card only, and you have to enter a phone number.
I was very disappointed with both the Side Chick sandwich and my DoorDash experience. The sandwich was extremely messy and, unfortunately, overly salty, with heavily seasoned chicken, salty bacon that tasted as though it had been prepared hours earlier, and aioli on both sides of the bun. While I enjoyed the over-medium egg, it added another heavy, fatty element to an already unbalanced sandwich. I also ordered the advertised $10 two-for-one cheeseburger special through DoorDash, but only received one sandwich. When I contacted the restaurant, they insisted I had not selected the promotion, despite my explaining that I had, and made no effort to resolve the issue. Based on the food quality and the way the situation was handled, I will not be returning or ordering from this restaurant again.

Been wanting to check out Burger Club for awhile and stopped by recently. Prices were not bad! The fries were really good and crispy. The cheeseburgers were also done well. Would definitely come back to try other things. Seating inside was also spacious and clean. read more

Very solid burger place that does one thing well. If you're looking for something other than burgers? You're in the wrong place. But I admire a place that focuses on something and gets it right! Upfront it's in the name. If you're coming here, be prepared to get a burger. FOOD: Lots of places say they do smashburgers, but this place DOES smashburgers! It was so yummy I am sure to come back again. Got the regular cheeseburger and it was done nice and tasty. There's something about the taste of that juicy middle with the crust of a solid burger that is so appealing. Plus, you gotta love the waffle fries. They do waffle fries right. Outside of Chick-fil-A, not sure I know anyone who does it as well. SERVICE: Service was quick and easy. I like that they have a kiosk but if you're having trouble you can ask one of the employees and they'd be happy to help. They do get distracted from being busy, but hopefully as they get into a rhythm that will work itself out. COST: OMG! This place is definitely affordable. If one burger isn't enough you can easily afford another. Especially when you compare it to other places like it. Very cost effective with very solid food. I'm coming back. read more
Located inside EggHead! There are no apparent signs outside so it's very easy to miss. Burger Club shares with Egg Head and opens after EggHead closes so make sure to check the hours. I ordered the BBL-T with a side of tater tots. The burger was packed with flavor but leaned a bit too oily, to the point where the buns absorbed it. I believe there was a cheese skirt on the patty, but unfortunately, it was slightly burnt, giving it a hint of bitterness. On the bright side, the tater tots were perfectly deep-fried, and the sauce complemented them really well. read more
Egghead turns into Burger Club in the evening. What a clever idea using the restaurant space and kitchen to cater to a different target audience. Imagine smash burgers but made w/ love. Everything is al la carte which can be damming on your wallet but this place offers inexpensive options leaving you wanting to come back for more. Gavin and I ordered 2 burgers and a side of waffle fries. They have a dipping sauce that comes w/ it but it didn't come w/ it this time. It was creamy and had a hint of heat that I was looking forward to. The burgers are made fresh to order, beefy, juicy, messy to eat.. waffle fries were well done. The service was extremely pleasant. The gentleman prepared our order, bagged it, and handed it to us w/ a smile. Even apologized for the wait. We waited barely 10 min. I ordered the BBL-T; 2 smashed patties w/ the usual that comes on a burger but the burger club sauce was what made this burger unique and wonderfully tasty. Gavin ordered the Blondy Cheese Burger. It's the same as my burger but w/o the bacon. I wish they serve impossible burgers though. read more

Family ran business with good service. It's inside of EggHead so look for the EggHead sign from the parking lot. It has an open kitchen inside and is well lit. It's all good and cheaper than pretty much anything else out there. Do it. read more

Located inside the Egghead Sando, I would say, not bad for the price, but inconsistent and over salted. The smashed double cheese burger was good and a smudge over salted. The waffle fries were hot and crispy with great texture, but over salted. The tater tots had cooled off too much and under salted. Service was fast. read more
Menu simple, open late, potato buns, smash burgers with grilled onions equals . Tip - order 1 crisscut fries or 1 tater tots to share for too people. Food comes out fast and service is excellent. Ambiance is chill and casual. read more

I heard about this place for being open later and the price seemed very affordable so my husband and I decided to check it out. The blondy cheeseburger was too overcooked/burnt for our liking. The fries were okay. Our favorite item was the Brazillian lemonade because it tasted unique and very refreshing. Ambiance: it's in egghead but it's open late with lots of parking in the plaza and a few tables inside with one kiosk to order. read more
A friend referred me to this place and told me to check it out because of how delicious and affordable the food was. A burger here can range from $3 - $13. That's INSANE. Compared to another burger joint like five guys or McDonald's which you pay over $10. Comparing this joint to In-N-Out, you're still getting a lot more burger here for a banger price. Food: The food was honestly REALLY good, especially for the price. I honestly thought it was too good to be true when I saw how much the burgers were, I was rubbing my eyes. I also got the Kyandi lemonade drink with lychee. So f****** good I can't... as you can see in the picture, I was so hungry and into my food that I forgot to take a photo of the burger until I was a quarter away in. Location: Burger club was very easy to find there was a lot of parking available. It stays open until 10 PM on the weekdays and 11 PM on the weekends, which is pretty good. I also found out that Egg Head is open here and is converted into a burger joint after hours. Ambience: When you walk into this place, it definitely gives you a coffee shop vibe, it throws you off, but in a good way because the burger joint opens up at night and it feels like you're going to get a coffee late. Service: Roger and JR greeted me once I walked into the café/restaurant. They were very friendly and made me feel welcomed. Roger assisted me with any questions I had regarding the burgers considering this was my first time coming here. Bathroom: 9/10 Definitely coming back again. read more

Hubby and I wanted to try a new burger place and stumbled upon Burger Club. We live closer to the Santa Teresa entity but they were closed for some mechanical issue. We ventured to the Capital Expwy Club to pick up our grub. Small inside with three to four tables but a lot of outdoor seating. Personnel were very pleasant but there is only one order kiosk. The burgers were relatively inexpensive $3.00 for a regular burger and $5.00 for fries/regular or crisscross. The burger itself was a smashed one, nothing special. The crisscross fries seemed like they were in a warmer but there were plenty of them. The food was nicely packed in a bag with the burgers and fries in lil boxes. The boxes were taped shut. There were napkins and ketchup packets. All in all food was okay but most likely won't go for another experience or recommend. Highly recommend an additional order kiosk and not to use tape to shut the food boxes in the bag. It just isn't sanitary in my opinion. read more

Honestly the burgers were pretty good. I say above average. There are better smash burgers out there, but it's a great spot to satisfy your cravings since it's so close by in San Jose. The Pattie's were extremely crispy, but I think they burnt the onions a-bit too much! The fries are exactly like the Egghead fries since it's located in Egghead. They were really good fries, I'd say better than Chick-fil-A! Service wise, the food does take some time to cook up. But I can understand since it's just a small spot. Otherwise no complaints. read more

I ordered from here on Door Dash at the beginning of June. I was starving & craving a burger but didn't want to break the bank for a meal. I came across this place on Door Dash & saw the prices - the food looked decent as well so I decided to give it a try. Overall thoughts: Burgers - 2/5 I honestly wasn't impressed, the flavor of the burger wasn't super great and there was nothing about the burger that stood out to me. Fries - 1/5 they were INCREDIBLY over seasoned. The fries had a crazy amount of salt, so much that I'm convinced that it had to have been a mistake by someone in the kitchen because to serve fries with that much salt on them should be a crime. Brazilian lemonade - 1.5/5 this might come down to personal preference but I didn't enjoy this at all. It was bitter but oddly sweet because of the condensed milk. However, I still found myself needing to add additional sweetener to help with the flavor but nothing I added helped. I truly rate this place 2/5 but because of the pricing, I gave it a 3/5. Really wanted to like this place but just didn't have a good experience unfortunately. read more
What a great place to grab a burger for dinner! I specifically mention dinner as they open at 4pm. Now for the food! The burgers come out hot and fresh as they are made to order. I ordered the deal for 2 Blondies, fries and tater tot's. I had no idea what to expect from a taste perspective. All I knew when the order came out was that it smelled amazing and we couldn't wait to get home to eat it. The burger is perfectly smashed and griddle grilled, cheesey, onion-y and perfectly paired with their sauce. I could immediately tell I would drive thru again the next time I wanted a burger for dinner. Thebtator tots and fries were very good and seasoned perfectly, they also came with a side of sauce that was tangy and a bit spicy. Lastly, service was prompt bring made to order and the staff was very cool and pleasant. Great addition in the burger realm! read more
Order at a touch screen. Their menu offers a curated selection with about five choices of burgers and three styles of sides (tots, waffle fries and regular fries). I recommend making the tots spicy. The service was friendly and the food was good. There are a few tables to dine in. Their music was good and not too loud. read more
Burger Club is a pop-up kitchen that shares Egghead Sando when they are closed. The restaurant is located in a large shopping plaza with Lucky Supermarket, Cha Cha Sushi, but closer to Aqui's Mexican Restaurant. Order via the kiosk. The service was nice and friendly. He brought the food to the table. They have a few tables inside and outside so people can choose where to sit. Blondy: Two 2.5 oz Beef Patties with American Cheese, Grilled Onions , Tomatoes, Lettuce, Pickles, Burger Club Sauce. A very good smashed burger. The onions make the difference. Their club sauce is similar to Red Robin's Campfire sauce. Waffles Fries: Crispy Waffle Fries. Seasoned well, nice, hot, thick cuts that were indeed crispy. Support your local business. read more

I placed a DoorDash pickup order for my family: two chicken tenders for the kids (listed as 2 for $12), two burgers for my husband and me (also advertised as 2 for $12), plus tots and fries at $5 each. When I went to pick up the order, the employee behind the counter told me they were too busy to make the chicken tenders and that the item had to be canceled. What made this especially frustrating is that I had already been sitting in my car outside the restaurant for over 30 minutes waiting for the order to be ready. (and they didn't look busy) As I got back into my car, I saw that same employee and a coworker eating chicken tenders. So it wasn't that they didn't have time to make them -- they clearly had them and chose to eat them instead. To make matters worse, once I got home I realized I was also charged incorrectly. The burgers were supposed to be part of a 2-for-$12 promo, but I was charged $12 each. MOST Fire burger I've had in a min and I'm glad it's not a pop-up. Note: it's at the Egghead Great tasting burger and overall solid. Nice crisp on the meat. CRAZY good fires and tots, idk it's double fried or not it's great GBD. Service was solid and it wasn't super crowded. They have water and bring out your food and it's a self serving kiosk. It's inside an egghead so it doesn't really full like a burger spot. Still my go to spot rn read more
Smashburgers served after Egghead closes in the afternoon. Simple, affordable, and delicious! They smash the patties beautifully with crispy beef lace on the perimeter and thin cut onions smashed into it. The single patty cheeseburger is only $3, but I recommend shelling out for one of their double patty burgers like the Blondie or the Burger Club Smash. The Club sauce is solid. If you get one of the fried potato sides, it's an enormous portion. Definitely will return. Good non-chain burgers are hard to find here in South Bay! read more
