Nice quiet place for breakfast with great food and friendly service. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, making it a perfect spot if you want to enjoy a calm, easy morning meal without a lot of noise or rush. The menu has a lot of great options, so there's something for everyone. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly. The ingredients tasted fresh, the portions were satisfying, and the presentation was simple but done right. The staff was attentive and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed without hovering. It really felt like a place that cares about both the food and the customers. Overall, a great breakfast spot with quality food, great service, and a peaceful vibe.
My-Kitchen feels like a hidden gem I just discovered. I was craving a breakfast burrito and stumbled upon this spot on Yelp, and I'm so glad I did. The place was packed for a Wednesday morning, which immediately felt like a good sign. It's a small diner with cozy booth seating and welcoming vibes. I ordered the sausage breakfast burrito and subbed the country potatoes for hash browns. They offer homemade salsa and sour cream on the side, both of which were delicious. The burrito tasted clean and fresh; soft, fluffy eggs, fresh avocado, and no greasyness like you find at other spots. I really enjoyed it. Hubs ordered the Early Bird special and enjoyed his meal as well... along with a few bites of mine. I highly recommend checking out this small business. Cheers!

Brunch at My Kitchen was a bit of a mixed bag, so I'd give it about 3.5 stars. The caramel milkshake was creamy, but no taste of caramel. The crab cake benedict had nice flavor with a smooth hollandaise, but a bit too heavy for me. The Denver omelet was hearty and satisfying. I actually liked the white gravy sauce on top, it gave it an extra richness that worked well. Overall, cozy spot with potential, just not quite a full 4-star experience for me.
One weekend, my partner and I were feeling too lazy to make breakfast, so we decided to eat out instead. We originally planned to go to a different restaurant, but they were closed for remodeling. In a bit of a rush, I checked Yelp and found this place with an overall rating of four stars, which made us eager to give it a try. The place was clean, and overall a nice place for a meal. We decided to share a Waffle Egg Benedict, and it was absolutely delicious! Instead of the typical English muffins, the dish used a waffle as the base. One half of the waffle had a perfectly poached egg on top, which was wonderfully runny. Rich, creamy hollandaise sauce was drizzled over the egg--so tasty! The other half of the waffle was placed alongside seasoned country potatoes, which were exceptionally well-seasoned and the best I've ever had. I believe this dish might have been a special, as I can no longer find it on the regular menu on their website.

Not only that, the food was ready in a crazy short time but they did not sacrifice quality for the sake of time which I really appreciate. We ordered the pancakes combo with bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, and hash browns. And then we also got a plate of chicken and waffles. To start, the fried chicken was so crispy and crunchy on the exterior and the inside was so juicy and moist and full of flavor. Im not personally a big fan of chicken as a protein but this was amazing and definitely almost made me change my opinion on chicken as a whole. Secondly, the waffles were so crisp yet soft, it was such a perfect delicate balance of texture that I really enjoyed. I'm also not a big fan of sausage because processed meats like salami and hot dogs usually scare me. BUT, the sausage was honestly super good it did change my mind on sausage as a whole. The scrambled eggs were so soft and fluffy and the flavor on its own, it really spoke for itself. I felt like it was a good example of when chefs let the ingredients speak for themselves. Because I usually will add pepper and hot sauce to my hash browns and eggs but it really did not need it. Everything was already super flavorful and well seasoned. It was amazing, I actually have no negative comments for the food whatsoever. The ambiance itself was just a simple diner vibe where everybody is chatty within their own groups and it's very, I wanna say comfortable and welcoming kind of vibe where it feels like people are friendly and just happy to be there. I absolutely adore the aesthetics of all the decorations on the wall, this restaurant definitely had a theme in mind and executed it well. I'm not sure how to describe it fully but it was very cool and definitely sparks a lot of good talking points. Overall, this is my second time here and I am happy to say I will be coming back here as well. This might be my new favorite breakfast diner
My fiancé has been wanting to try this place forever but I've been hesitant because of the negative reviews. Anddd they were right. We came in at 10:30am and were seated pretty quickly but then there was a line right after we sat. After being seated no one came by to take our order. Servers would walk by and we'd try to flag them down and they'd walk right by us. After 20 minutes, we finally went to the front to ask to order. Someone else also had to go ask. Tables that came after us got their orders taken quickly though. I dont know why our two tables were completely ignored. When the food came out, it was piping hot but it was just okay. I got an eggs benedict that was supposed to come with fruits and they didn't give me fruits. The hollandaise sauce was super sour. The hashbrown was crunchy though. Prices are on par with Bill's cafe, which imo is expensive, considering the nonexistent service. After we were done eating, we tried to flag someone down to pay. Again, no one would stop. I guess they didn't wanna be paid. I had to go to the front again to ask to be paid. If you're like us and have been hesitant to try My kitchen, don't do it.

There were two tables available that needed to be cleared and cleaned first. The menu is full with lots of popular options. We went with chicken friend steak and eggs, waffle Benedict, and Irish benefit. Coffee refills came but were a tad slow. But they were pretty busy. The dining area is a circle with booths all around. The food was good! We'll probably be back.
Great food. Pancakes were light and fluffy. Not chewy or rubbery. My only complaint is that the bottle of ketchup was not very clean. I look at the other tables and they were the same. No one wipes them down after customers use them.

The only thing what was not my favorite is the bathroom. You have to go down a hallway close the the kitchen. Other than that service was good and decent prices.

I paired it with their potatoes and chose pancake as the option. My friend ordered the pancake combo. We enjoyed our drinks, coffee and fresh OJ while we waited. The dining room is not huge but they had plenty of space for you to not feel like everyone was part of your conversation. Plus they had booths which I love! The food came out and it was perfectly cooked, as some places tend to overcook scrambles. The pancakes was probably the best part, perfectly cooked, and fluffy. If you're looking for a local brunch spot I highly recommend them. I will be back for sure and perhaps become a regular.
Solid 3 1/2 stars for my first visit to My-Kitchen. I have a friend who has eaten there multiple times, and I joined her recently to check it out. Apparently, My-Kitchen either has new ownership or management and underwent a facelift. It looks nice and clean with 14 booths. Think family-owned diner open for breakfast and lunch from 7:30 am-2:00 pm. I don't know if they were short-staffed, but they only had one server while we were there and everything took a while (we didn't get our drinks until shortly before our food came out). My friend tried the breakfast enchiladas (3 corn tortillas, egg, chorizo, ranchera sauce, Jack cheese, & avocado) with home fries. She liked it. I opted for the Joe's Special (ground beef, spinach, egg, green onion, & mushrooms) with hashbrowns and pancakes. This was the first time I'd had Joe's special w/green onions vs yellow. I kind of liked the difference. The pancakes were good, and I really liked the crispy hashbrowns. It was better than I anticipated from looking at the previous restaurant's photos. I feel good about going back. Next time I'll try their chicken and waffles.

Cute little, quiet breakfast spot. I really liked the variety on the menu, especially the breakfast deal they offered. I went with the breakfast deal and ordered pancakes, sausage links, and a cup of fruit. Honestly everything was pretty good. I had also ordered an iced vanilla coffee, but unfortunately, it was pretty watered down. But aside from that, it was a pleasant experience. Food was terrible. Ask for corn beef hash got chucks of corn beef in a bowl. Got potatoes pancakes which came with honey mustard and gravy. Gross. Should have had sour cream. Had to flag down my server to get my orange juice i ordered. Place is under new management which is City Dinner. read more

I came here randomly in the evening because I heard from another diner called City Diner that this Diner was actually open late at night! Apparently they're owned by the same people now. I ended up getting a country fried steak and I honestly quite liked it! They had a baked potato option but it could not be fulfilled so they made my fries into a baked potato. We also had the chance to get menudo! It was pretty good! Like in terms of authenticity? A 7 out of 10. The prime rib sliders are great to share and it's great to dip them! They are a musket if you have a party of 4. For the amount of money that you would spend over at Olive Garden this is a good spend that better for the money! If you're a type of person who wants to find good service, John is a good server. read more
This place is my go-to breakfast place now when I'm in San jose! They are dog friendly and just so nice! Friendliness is just awesome! When you check in, you get a free pancake. That pancake was buttery and good! I got the banana one, and my husband had a pancake, too. My husband ordered a chicken fried steak with sunny eggs and hash. I was very disappointed in the hash as it was mushy. Way too soft. Not edible for him. Other than that, the steak was good. I ordered the lox bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese. Oh gosh! It was delish! I very much enjoyed it with my side of fruit. I had a mimosa as well. I asked for juice on the side and a glass of champagne. This way, you get more out of your alcohol! Quick lunch I had. I tried My-Kitchen and I like it. They have tasty Mimosas. We tried mango and orange mimosa they were good. We got some scrambled eggs with fresh onion and some chorizo. This spot was actually really fire. I'm the girl at brunch who always has to add hot sauce to her eggs Benny but I didn't even add a drop to this plate bc the hollandaise was so good (this was extra surprising bc they had my favorite hot sauce - The Pepper Plant). My partner got the breakfast sandwich which was also really good as it used French toast for the bread! Loved it!!! Parking was also very simple and the servers were very attentive with refilling coffee/water! Overall recommend and will be coming in my back read more
We haven't been to this breakfast establishment in a very long time. We decided to stop by for breakfast and we can't wait to comeback with the whole family. The customer service was top notch. Everyone was very friendly and all had welcoming smiles. They made you feel at home. We really enjoyed that. This was classic diner food at its best. They have a lots of options for breakfast and lunch. I got the Eggs Benedict and I enjoyed every bite. I love a breakfast spot that gives you an option of either country potatoes or hash browns. Sometimes I want to have breakfast at Lunchtime. They close at 2 pm. So they specialize on the breakfast menu. But they also have a good lunch menu too So, I decided to try out My-Kitchen. This used to be a different restaurant. I forgot the name of it. But the new place is very nice and clean. New paint job and remodeled. They got rid of the old smelly carpet, and they got some new lights in there too. The food was perfect. I got the Country Omelette with pancakes and hashbrowns and a cup of coffee. The waiter was professional and informative. He kept my coffee refilled and was quick on the orders. I will be back and share with all the NINER Gang in San Jose. read more

My favorite spot to lesson plan and grade! Enjoyed a very delicious and filling breakfast, then since they're open until 8pm Wednesday to Sunday, I stayed later and enjoyed this amazing "JOLIET" (Banana Piña Colada) Shake...sooo good!! Highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner! Staff is very friendly and attentive, especially Alex, Tania, and Nelly! read more
