The ham was also thick, which could be a good or bad thing depending on your liking. The hash browns were good though! 3.5/5. - Country Style Potatoes: A bit bland, but nicely cooked. 3.5/5. Alex and his staff catered a magnificent Thanksgiving feast for over 100 TSA workers on Thanksgiving. The food was exceptional, the pricing was extremely reasonable and the service was outstanding. Below average food quality, bottom in terms of food quantity. No service after the food was delivered. Average cleanliness. It looks like this place changed hands recently. I'm afraid the staff must be new to running a restaurant as well. I ordered a chicken apple sausage plate, you can see from the picture that the portion size is what you would normally receive in a kids plate, but for $18. Barely half a cup of fruit, the eggs were overcooked, and only a single sausage. Also ordered a side of pancakes Hawaiian style, but as you can see from the picture they didn't even put the pineapple and bananas inside the pancake to cook as you are supposed to do. From previous pictures from this place, they used to make them correctly. They also ran out of coconut. The pancake was made with the wrong type of flour, it was chewy and flavorless. Once the food was delivered we never saw the server again until the check showed up. Never had our waters refilled. There has been a restaurant in this location since the late 70's. From what I recall it started with Alexi's which literally was there for decades. That finally closed a few years ago (probably due to retirement) and it became Sky Kitchen. That went away after a few years and then it became My Kitchen which has been there for maybe a year, but I'm not sure. My wife and I went to Alexi's quite often but that fell off when the ownership was changed. My wife decided to try out My Kitchen about a year ago on the days that I didn't work from home. She told me that she really enjoyed it and that I needed to go with her. Well, that finally happened last week. The restaurant is quite small but adequate. The decor is quite nice. I believe a lot of it came from the Sky Kitchen remodel. There are even some holdovers from the Alexi's era. For instance the Wi-Fi password sign is in the same location as it was back when it was Alexi's if I recall correctly. Anyway, the restaurant is clean and inviting...so is the staff. Today we were waited on by the owner, who, being an owner, I'm sure is there every day they are open. She was very pleasant, friendly, and efficient. They seemed to be a bit understaffed judging by the help wanted sign on the door but you'd never know. The food came out quickly and was plentiful. My wife went with her favorite dish, the waffle combo. She says that's the place to go for her waffle fix. I got the breakfast quesadilla with chorizo. The menu implies that toast comes with it so I put in my toast order. The owner pointed out that toast didn't come with it and I wouldn't need it anyway. She was right. This thing was HUGE. She said the tortilla is 19 inches in diameter. I could not finish it. It was my breakfast for the next day as well. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that the menu doesn't mention that eggs come inside the quesadilla. Like I said, I could be wrong but I looked a couple of times and I didn't see it. The reality is, of course eggs do come inside of it. The only thing I'd do differently is tell them to make the hash browns more crispy. Anyway, we totally enjoyed our breakfast and plan to make regular visits. In fact, we won't be the only regulars. We overheard one of the customers who was obviously a regular tell the owner that he'd see her tomorrow. That is loyalty! My wife also loves the Tiny Kitchen shows that they had on the TV. My kids and I used to like coming here before the ownership change. After the change we had a couple of meals here. We were disappointed in a few meals didn't taste the same. First, the hollandaise sauce was much more sour than with previous ownership. I am guessing it must be the amount of lemon juice. Second the pancakes were not as big and fluffy as before. It was thin and limp. The hash browns were a mixed bag. Sometimes undercooked, sometimes just right. On the plus side, their fried foods were good such as the Fried Chicken and chicken fried steak. As a local long time resident, this was our go to spot for breakfast growing up. Always the Denver omelet and hot chocolate. Then the Denver omelette changed. They added tomatoes and no cheese. I was super disappointed that Hayes Mansions dining room was closed. But as a yelper I searched for places to eat and found this place. It seems like a converted donut shop. The food was ok. The portions were just enough but rather mall for the price. The booths are SUPER SMALL. I do have to say I was impressed that they actually buttered the toast, not just a spot of butter like 98 percent of the other restaurants do. We haven't been to this Restaurant for several years but we understood it reopened with new owners. We had lunch and to give the place a try we just ordered hamburgers. The waiter actually asked how we would like them cooked which was surprising. The burgers were delicious with excellent meat and condiments. We were really surprised how good they were. This is my first time going to My-Kitchen. When u walked into the restaurant I was greeted with a smile and a hello by one of the waitress. The restaurant was busy as well. There was only 2-3 tables open for seating left. I was told feel free to pick which one I wanted. After a moment sitting down I was greeted by a waitress to take my drink order, once she came right back she took my order. Throughout my meal the friendliness of all the employee's literally went above and beyond with a smile, being very friendly, constantly checking if I needed a refill of coffee or water. I found out during her trips to my table they were understaffed today. In addition it's Labor Day Weekend! Never once did I feel over looked as a paytron in this establishment! The waitresses even took the time to even engage in a few minutes of a conversation. As I went to the restroom to wash my hands before leaving I ran into the owner and had a wonderful conversation with her. I really felt I needed to bring it to her attention how greatful I was from the outstanding service, friendliness, from the employee's I received today. I had goosebumps and almost a tear of happiness as its so very very difficult to find nowadays anywhere. I truly recommend going to My-Kitchen They're known mostly for their breakfast. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with fries, and the smoke salmon with homemade potato salad. The homemade potato salad was delicious as its not mushy as most the potatoes had a touch of firmness in it which I find to be better. They have take out menu's as well as children menu's. There is a big parking lot in to park as well. The 1 and only thing is I wish the chicken sandwich had a little bit of some seasoning on the chicken. Other than that I have nothing whatsoever to even complain about. I'll definitely be looking forward to going back again. In San Jose for a Dr. visit and we stopped in a restaurant near our old house. It's under new management (it was called Alexa's) the new restaurant is "My Kitchen" and my friend Sandy said her omelette was in her top three ever. I had Bacon and eggs and my eggs were perfect! Great service also. We watched the bus person clear off tables and noticed he not only washed the top of the tables but also the edge, seat and back of seat. Great experience, I give it 5 stars. It was our first time visiting My-Kitchen and really glad we came to try out a new place. We got seated right away (you pick a seat wherever available). I am guessing that weekends get busy though. We ordered the veg omlette and added side of sausages, chicken & waffles with hash browns. We checked in with Yelp and got the banana pancakes as well which was a sweet deal! The staff was extremely sweet and attended to us right away. I would love to try some of their other creative offerings next time such as their Hawaiian waffles. A very cute little corner brunch spot on Blossom Hill. They offer dine in or take out. We came on a Sunday around noon and it was very busy. Waited a few minutes and seated right away. It took them awhile to give us menu since it looked like they were short staffed. We got the ultimate breakfast sandwich which came with two French toast, 2 eggs, 2 bacons, cheese and hash brown. Oh and don't forget the fruits! It was a lot of food but everything was delicious. There's Mocha frapps that was very tasty and almost looked like a milk shake.
