Bill the World Bill's is probably the most renowned name in the South Bay breakfast game, as they've been slinging hash and eggs for nearly fifty years (circa 1977) and have expanded to ten locations throughout the Bay, with most of them being here in San Jose. This location is only a few miles from our place, and surprisingly this was our first time visiting, despite having lived in this part of town for almost five years. The Good: * Private parking lot as well as street parking available * Dog-friendly outdoor dining * They have some kind of Waitlist QR code you can scan when you walk in, but we didn't need it so I can't comment on it beyond its existence. * The food at Bill's is always solid, but nothing life-changing. I've always been a fan of their "Benedictions" and, if you're into a sweet breakfast, their Bread Pudding French Toast is pretty legendary. * For those looking for healthier options, you can get a side of fruit instead of taters, and they don't just give you grapes and melons, but you'll get some tasty strawberries and pineapple mixed in. Also, their egg white Veggie Skillet was surprisingly delicious for being so healthy-ish. The Meh: * Service was OK for the most part, but we did have to ask for water and coffee refills, which shouldn't really happen. The Ugly: * We visited on a random weekday and it was pretty popping, so I can imagine weekends are even busier. So be prepared for a wait unless you come early. Conclusion: Classic South Bay breakfast chain that always delivers a good meal at a reasonable price.

The pancakes with the combo option, choosing eggs over easy and ham

The food was excellent, had the three pancakes combo which I had optioned with the two eggs and ham. The eggs were cooked perfectly to order and the ham was a large piece and everything tasted great. Service was good, there were some brief outages, but in general, they were always there to fill your coffee. Ambience is as you would expect from a diner, comfortable seating great place to have discussions or get together's. Wouldn't he hesitate about coming back, I would have generally the same review for holders Country Inn in Almaden as well.

I can't believe I haven't written a review before now. Bill's Café has been a family favorite for breakfast for years. Everything I've ever ordered has been consistently fresh and delicious, and the service is always friendly and efficient. I usually try to go during off-peak times -- early morning or early afternoon before closing -- because weekends and peak hours can come with a pretty long wait. That said, it's popular for a reason. One of my favorite things is that they offer half portions on some of their classic dishes, like Eggs Benedict. I can never finish a full order, so being able to get a half portion and then add a pancake for something sweet is perfect. They also have a full bar with a great selection of breakfast cocktails. My personal favorite is their michelada. I honestly have no complaints. While it's technically a chain, it still feels like a charming neighborhood spot -- reliable, welcoming, and always a great choice for breakfast

I love me some Bill's Cafe and it's my go-to spot when visiting the Bay Area! I've had their benedicts here but I usually always go with their Country Fried Steak. The portion is so big you need two plates with all the other sides like bread and eggs. It basically needs a plate of its own. The steak is perfectly crispy and hits the spot everytime. A menu item that I've tried recently was their Bread Pudding French Toast. I took one bite and I was in love. My mom always gets this and I've always wondered why. NOW I KNOW! It's perfectly sweet and the texture of it is soft. Check Bills out and bring your family, it never disappoints with mine.

Hands down, my favorite local breakfast spot!! The service was so so fast! I got a table in a matter of minutes even though I was visiting on a Sunday morning. Also, within 5 min of being seated, I was already met with a server asking for drinks. The food was also pretty good. I got the crispy chicken sandwich and the country fried steak. I preferred the country fried steak, it was cooked well with a flavorful gravy. However, I felt that the crispy chicken sandwich was a bit bland, so I would pass on it next time. Overall, I would definitely keep coming back!

Nice place to bond and have some super breakfast. I like the environment and I'm comfortable with customer service.

The usual, with half bacon half sausage links.

Consistently excellent breakfast food and service. My server Rafael was able to put in my order with half bacon half sausage links, and was always prompt with the coffee refills.

I loved their outdoor seating! It's very accommodating to dogs. Its nice and roomie amd lots of tables. Bills is my go-to breakfast place with my bestie, but we wanted to do this location today. I had a cesar salad, which was pretty good. I got some scrambled eggs as my salad came with soup. I chose a lemon soup type flavor. It tasted like chicken noodle soup, but lemony. It was good, its just I couldn't have it bc it jas too much carbs. This week was my vacation week, so I chose to have alcohol instead of cheating too much in sugar and carbs. With that said, I got a bloody Mary, double shot. It 11$ and extra 4$ for the extra shot. I asked for spicy but it wasn't spicy at all! The drink was light and good enough. I've seen some pretty creative bloody Mary's! Bloody Mary's are absolutely my favorite mixed drink. Although I don't drink alcohol anymore due to health reasons. Id come to this location again as everyone is so nice and the food is pretty decent.

Updating my review to add commentary about the catering for a party…read more It was an absolute crowd pleaser! I ordered ribs, brisket, chicken, potato salad, beans, Cole slaw, garden salad, and garlic bread. The favorite was the brisket but they truly loved every bit of it. Very impressed with the packaging and presentation. They were packing it up as I arrived and everything was hot and fresh. The staff were delightful and even helped load everything into my car. The portions were very generous and I felt a good value for the money. We were all very full and happy. Received many comments about how good it was. I will tell anyone looking to cater or serve a crowd to order BBQ Pit. I ordered using their website and it was incredibly easy to do, and appreciated the email confirmations and follow-up.

They also carry cans as well that are not listed and you can just grab it from the fridge and pay at the register. There is a good amount of seating inside and there are a few tables outside as well. I ordered my stout and i let it sit as the foam settled and realized that the pour did not fill up the glass. I let the staff know and they fixed the issue by topping off my drink. The staff are very friendly and understanding. During my first visit, we ordered the ribs and brisket as well as a tri tip salad. The brisket was very tender and juicy. I usually avoid ordering briskets since most BBQ places in San Jose that I've been to have made them very dry. There was only one piece that wasn't juicy which I expected since it had no fat on it. It was still tender and not dried out. The ribs were also good. It was tender and didn't stick to the bone as much but it wasn't as tender where it just slides off the bone. The seasoning on the ribs was neutral and the BBQ Pit have their own special bbq sauce (regular and spicy) which goes well with the meat. My wife ordered the tri tip salad and she enjoyed it. I stole some of her greens to balance the meat and beer and the veggies were fresh. The salad came with cornbread but I didn't try it. On my second visit, I decided to get the tri tip woith a side of baked potato and coleslaw. The baked potato was $3 extra. The tri tip had really good flavor and texture. It ripped apart easily when pulling. The coleslaw was ok. I might get the mac and cheese or beans next time. My wife ate the baked potato and ate most of it. I tried a little bit where it was just the potato and it was not overcooked and not too undercooked. It was easy to scoop with the fork without too much effort. If you are in the area and craving for BBQ, I highly recommend trying this place. The portion is not as big as BBQ joints in Texas or KC but they are on par with the ones around San Jose. The pricing is decent and like I mentioned, is also on par to San Jose pricing. If you have a big group, there are plenty of tables to accommodate folks. The location is close to the highway so that's a plus. The staff is very helpful and will give you a good recommendation if you are debating on what to order.

The diavola pasta had a great texture and a flavorful sauce, although it felt a little simple since there weren't many other ingredients mixed in. The crispy brussels sprouts weren't for me, not very crispy and a bit hard. The gelato was much better than I expected and ended up being a nice way to end the meal. The service was great though and the lighting inside nice! Overall, the meal was a bit hit-or-miss, but I'd come back to try more of the pizzas since those were definitely the highlight

Every time I visit, I am largely ignored while regular customers receive attentive, friendly service. He rarely checks back to see if our food is okay, whether we need refills, or if there's anything else we need. On multiple occasions, our order has been taken carelessly and has been incorrect. What has been especially upsetting is watching him go out of his way to serve his regular customers--bringing them complimentary drinks, checking on them frequently, and making them feel valued--while we are treated as though we don't matter. I have even been asked to move tables so his regular customers could be accommodated. I've been a customer here for two years, yet I've never been made to feel like I belong. Instead, I've consistently felt judged, stereotyped, and treated differently from others. Whether intentional or not, the pattern of behavior has left me feeling that I was treated unfairly because of who I am....feel like this place is racist! A restaurant should make every guest feel welcome, respected, and valued. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience here. I can overlook the occasional mistake, but I cannot overlook repeatedly being made to feel invisible. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that every customer is treated with the same level of courtesy and respect. Until then, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

(4.5/5) Had brunch…read moreat The Table on a beautiful warm Wednesday, and the patio was definitely the highlight. It was the perfect spot to enjoy the fresh air and made for a really relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant has a great vibe overall, especially if you're looking for an outdoor brunch. (Have not been inside) I ordered the steak chilaquiles, and I'd give them a 8.5/10. The flavors were really good, the sauce was delicious, and I liked the addition of the eggs, avocado, and queso. My only complaint was the steak. I ordered it medium rare, but it came out medium well, a bit dry and was tougher than expected, making it difficult to cut. It was still tasty--just not cooked quite the way I was hoping. The mimosas were good too, a great value. Nothing that really stood out as amazing, but definitely nothing bad about them either--they got the job done. What really elevated the experience was the service. Our server Rebecca was attentive, knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly quick throughout the meal. They checked in at the right times, answered our questions confidently, and made us feel well taken care of without ever being overbearing. Overall, I'd come back, especially to sit on the patio again. With a more tender steak, this meal would've easily been an 8.5 or 9 out of 10!! :)

Hey there party People…read more Decided to venture into Willow Glen today on the hunt for something new to try. Boy howdy did we hit the Mother Load with "The Table". We hit the Brunch hour and the place was rocking. We were able to sit right down amazingly. There is a fabulous patio to people watch and enjoy the California weather. Our server Charles was really great. He walked us through the menu giving us the 911 on watch to order. Most of the plates were perfect shareable bites. Making it easy to try multiple plates and really get your inner Foodie on. We started with the Seasonal Banana Pancakes with crushed walnuts and cinnamon maple syrup. Inside the pancakes were fresh bananas and the walnuts were crushed very small but added a great texture. Moving on to the Chicago Steak sandwich don't get confused but in Chicago they refer to Roast Beef as steak. The Au Jus dip was very flavorful without being a salt bomb. Loved the potato roll they used all round a killer sandwich. Going a little outside the box we tried the Jerk Chicken Sandwich. The pineapple slaw with this amazing peppery chutney type sauce played so well with the acid of the pineapple. Another must have sandwich. I ask you how can you go to a new restaurant and not have some dessert. With everything else being so good our expectations were pretty high and we were not disappointed. The Giant Profiterole is exactly that GIANT and stuffed with White Chocolate Gelato and Hot Chocolate Sauce that you can drizzle over the top. To fricken die for good. If you are in Willow Glen and you don't stop here you are missing out on something wonderful. Be kind to one another
