I can't believe I haven't written a review before now. Bill's Café has been a family favorite for breakfast for years. Everything I've ever ordered has been consistently fresh and delicious, and the service is always friendly and efficient. I usually try to go during off-peak times -- early morning or early afternoon before closing -- because weekends and peak hours can come with a pretty long wait. That said, it's popular for a reason. One of my favorite things is that they offer half portions on some of their classic dishes, like Eggs Benedict. I can never finish a full order, so being able to get a half portion and then add a pancake for something sweet is perfect. They also have a full bar with a great selection of breakfast cocktails. My personal favorite is their michelada. I honestly have no complaints. While it's technically a chain, it still feels like a charming neighborhood spot -- reliable, welcoming, and always a great choice for breakfast read more

The food was excellent, had the three pancakes combo which I had optioned with the two eggs and ham. The eggs were cooked perfectly to order and the ham was a large piece and everything tasted great. Service was good, there were some brief outages, but in general, they were always there to fill your coffee. Ambience is as you would expect from a diner, comfortable seating great place to have discussions or get together's. Wouldn't he hesitate about coming back, I would have generally the same review for holders Country Inn in Almaden as well. read more

I love me some Bill's Cafe and it's my go-to spot when visiting the Bay Area! I've had their benedicts here but I usually always go with their Country Fried Steak. The portion is so big you need two plates with all the other sides like bread and eggs. It basically needs a plate of its own. The steak is perfectly crispy and hits the spot everytime. A menu item that I've tried recently was their Bread Pudding French Toast. I took one bite and I was in love. My mom always gets this and I've always wondered why. NOW I KNOW! We are loyal Bill's customers and love food and service. In all our years of going to Bill's, we have never had a poor experience, no matter wich location or menu item we choose. On days they are busy, the wait is never too long, as they are super quick to serve you, even though you never feel rushed. I don't know how they do it, but sure hope they keep this going! read more

Hands down, my favorite local breakfast spot!! The service was so so fast! I got a table in a matter of minutes even though I was visiting on a Sunday morning. Also, within 5 min of being seated, I was already met with a server asking for drinks. The food was also pretty good. I got the crispy chicken sandwich and the country fried steak. I preferred the country fried steak, it was cooked well with a flavorful gravy. However, I felt that the crispy chicken sandwich was a bit bland, so I would pass on it next time. I loved their outdoor seating! It's very accommodating to dogs. Its nice and roomie amd lots of tables. Bills is my go-to breakfast place with my bestie, but we wanted to do this location today. I had a cesar salad, which was pretty good. I got some scrambled eggs as my salad came with soup. I chose a lemon soup type flavor. It tasted like chicken noodle soup, but lemony. It was good, its just I couldn't have it bc it jas too much carbs. This week was my vacation week, so I chose to have alcohol instead of cheating too much in sugar and carbs. With that said, I got a bloody Mary, double shot. It 11$ and extra 4$ for the extra shot. I asked for spicy but it wasn't spicy at all! The drink was light and good enough. I've seen some pretty creative bloody Mary's! Bloody Mary's are absolutely my favorite mixed drink. Although I don't drink alcohol anymore due to health reasons. There's a nice counter bar for solo diners, plenty of cozy booth seating, and a large covered patio if you want to enjoy the fresh air. I ordered the Canadian Bacon Eggs Benedict with a side of French toast, hash browns, and an original mimosa--and everything was perfectly done. The eggs were poached just right, the hollandaise was creamy and rich, and the French toast was soft, buttery, and golden. My wife and I had breakfast there last Sunday Morning. It was about 8:30 and starting to get busy but they were able to get us seated right away and we had our coffee and tea first thing. Service was prompt and courteous with plenty of refills on the coffee. I had an egg scramble with sausage, cheese, spinach and mushrooms, it was very tasty. My wife had a bacon and eggs which she enjoyed. Great place for breakfast, we'd go again when in the area. read more

We tried Bills on Kooser when they first opened, didn't fined the service great, but wrote it off the just opening. We tried it Again, today and were disappointed again. We went early, around 9:30 am. There was no waiting as they were not busy. Order was taken promptly (party of 3) all breakfast order ... eggs toast and country potatoes 2 orders were eggs medium, 1 order Scrambled eggs. One of the eggs medium order under Cooked. This was genuinely one of the worst chicken sandwiches I have ever had. It was extremely gristly, fatty, and made with dark meat, which felt like an odd choice for a chicken sandwich. I'm not sure why this cut of chicken was used. The fries were alright, but they did not come with the sandwich and cost an additional $5. Our total came to almost $90 for three entrees with no beverages. I was especially frustrated because my sandwich was inedible. For the price and quality, I will not be returning and would not recommend this place.

Whenever I come here, I make sure I don't eat anything beforehand because I love to go all out here. Despite there being a crowd, we're usually seated fairly quickly and service is always prompt. I've gotten the chilaquiles rojo and verde with tri-tip and New York respectively. The flavors explode in your mouth, and the steaks are always cooked to perfection. I personally love the rojo, since I enjoy the bold flavor profile of the chile sauce, but both are great and have a good depth of flavor. I'm looking forward to trying the California and mole chilaquiles next time.

I usually go to Bill's in Willow Glen.The food was on the verge of awful. My wife ordered a very simple sandwich that was not served as ordered. The chicken lemon soup was lukewarm. The French fries were low quality and the principle flavor in my chicken salad sandwich was mayonnaise. hash browns burn and buckwheat pancakes. You get one sausage, probably prepackaged, cut in half, both pieces thick were completely burned on one side, as in 100% covered with black soot. The hash browns were pretty much the same thing. It looked as if they made a big batch, all of which was carbon on one side, and then just chopped a slab off to put on each plate. The buckwheat pancakes were the only thing edible, but tasted like they were made from a mix. They couldn't save this place from itself. In short, lazy ingredients and ten times worse preparations makes possibly one of the worst restaurant meals I've ever had. read more

My first time at Bill's after reading some positive notes on one of the other sites about this place. The food is just average. I honestly can make the same if not better at home. On Sunday morning after church, I thought I would let someone else do that for me this time. If you're hungry, this place will suffice but if your the food critic like me, keep looking. Parking can be a problem at this place. The wait was 20-30 minutes before they seated us. I would appreciate it if the waiters started their conversations in ENGLISH first and then switch to Spanish if the client would prefer that. In my case the waiter immediately started speaking in Spanish thinking I am Hispanic which I am not. I came here to see aside from my own favorite mom and pop's place, what else is out there. I will stick to my favorite mom and pop's. read more

Bill's Café is hands down one of the best places to grab breakfast in the area! Whether you're craving scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, or waffles, this spot should be your go-to. The quality and flavor easily outshine chains like IHOP or Scrambles. While they also serve decent burgers for lunch, breakfast is where they truly shine. The portions are generous, and everything is cooked to perfection. Be prepared for long lines in the morning, especially on weekends, but trust me--it's worth the wait. The service here is really great. The waiters are friendly and very helpful. They do stop by to make sure your coffee mug is always full and check on you frequently. The portions are VERY big. I ordered the veggie skillet (but added sausage) and it could have fed the whole family. I tried my hardest and finished a bit more than 25% of it. The morning quesadilla was super thick and filling (also not finished) The mimosa was a great ratio of juice and champagne and the strawberries were a nice touch. I don't get on this app but when I do it's usually for a good reason. My wife and I have been coming here for the past couple of years and it's have had nothing but perfect experience every time . The manager Pedro and the staff have always had top service, Always attentive. The vibe is always welcoming on the weekends and most if not all the service has been excellent. Not only that but the food is great and consistent every time we go. Regardless of what people say this place, it's the best breakfast you can get in the South Bay! read more

My wife and I visited Bill's today, eager to try the crab cake Benedict that I had enjoyed so much in the past. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The crab cake Benedict tasted off--possibly freezer-burned or just old--and it was quite soggy. Even the potatoes were served cold. On a positive note, my wife loved the French toast, which was a highlight of our meal. However, given the overall experience and the high prices, we don't plan on returning. I decided to try this popular breakfast spot in Almaden. I was greeted at the bar by a friendly waiter. The cocktails and mimosas for breakfast are extensive. I chose their new "blackstone" Benedict, which includes red onions, tomatoes, and avocado. The hash browns were decent, but a little mushy. I asked to have my eggs poached soft, and they came back hard boiled, which just ruins a Benedict in my opinion. The hollandaise sauce was tasty, but not the best I've ever had. Bills cafe its nothing like it used to be I stopped here for breakfast my server forgot my drink i never got my toast my omelette was not even cooked it was still runny Im very disappointed with my meal that is the most important, they need to train their stuff because their service and food Its terrible i will not ever return to this place again and !what a shame! its a very nice place, newer than the others bills ill be back to the others but not this one, I wouldn't recommend this place at all. read more

The food here was great! The "classics" on the menu are a great value for their large size and price. Have seen other restaurants charge way more for smaller amounts and lesser qualities, but that wasn't the case here. Came on a weekday around 11am and no wait for a party of 2. The only thing I did not like was the slow service once we finished our meals. We were waiting for a good minute for our check. Dropped by this place in San Jose for breakfast with a friend, and it hit the spot. I went with the Mexicano Omelette, and it was solid - flavorful and satisfying without being over the top. What really stood out was the attentive service, especially impressive given how early we arrived. The atmosphere is cozy, and the menu has plenty of hearty options to kickstart your day. Awesome service, to the host all the way, to the servers, the host was very polite, and told me there might be a little wait time, but accommodated us the fastest since we had a party of 8. Guy was awesome, talked to us and notified right away, our server, was on his A game as well. I had the Steak skillet, it was on special, well cooked and all, and the music is just so nice, they even played the song I was married to!!!!!! 10/10 will come back :). read more

Was here a couple of hours ago, the service is great, reviews are a little bit of nitpicking, which is horrible, just ask the server and they will accommodate you to the best of there ability, I had the bills steak, beautiful piece of steak, much more then other places for ONLY 22!!!
