It's our second time here, and we just love it! Great food great service and very ADA friendly! We had the country fried steak and scrambled eggs, and the hashbrown skillet. Both super delicious and honestly both meals were a large portion, so we had leftovers for dinner!
Wow! After a horrible hotel, stay this made our morning quite a bit brighter. The cinnamon pancakes were huge and delicious even without syrup. The eggs were perfectly done. The bacon had lots of meat on it. It was exactly what we were hoping for but the pancakes definitely exceeded expectations. The service was very quick and friendly. There was also outdoor seating which we would've taken advantage of had it been a little bit later in the morning. I would order a half order f the pancakes if you make it a combo. Though I will enjoy the leftovers tomorrow.
Cute place, parking was a little challenging to park close but not a big deal. We were 2 on a Sunday and we arrived around 9:30 so the place was pretty busy and there's been some wait time, I think we waiting maybe 10-15 min. It was clear big groups waited longer. Our servers were very attentive l, we were outside and it was great, the inside is a little noisy so it was great sitting at a corner table. The food was classic diner food. Nothing to lose your mind over. It was nice to have options to go healthier which has become a standard in most places. Will I come back? Maybe if I'm in the neighborhood but wouldn't go out of my way to go there. The potatoes had no flavor aside from paprika, and it's a little annoying that to replace the slice of bread with fruit is $3. Most places I went to, don't charge extra to replace. Why would I need bread if I have potatoes? It's just weird.
Bill's Cafe is one of my go-to breakfast spots, and I almost always order the steak and eggs. The steak is consistently cooked the right temp and is very well seasoned. One thing I especially love is that they have Pepper Plant hot sauce available. It goes amazingly well with everything and adds just the right amount of flavor and heat. The service has always been friendly and attentive. The staff checks in regularly without being overbearing, and food usually comes out quickly even when the restaurant is busy. The atmosphere is warm and comfy. Exactly what you'd want from a neighborhood breakfast spot.
My girlfriend and I wanted to try eating at a different place and came to Bills Cafe near Kooser. The parking lot had one spot left and we could park. The restaurant was pretty full, it was after noon, but we got seated in the patio. The menu was pretty good for breakfast/lunch and we ordered our food. I chose the breakfast menu with two eggs, hash browns, corned beef hash and toast with butter, my girlfriend chose a lunch menu item, fried chicken sandwich, fries and clam chowder. Both dishes were tasty, and the servers were very nice. It was very busy, but the food tasted good, and we were replete. It's a new go-to place for us, it's near Michael's, which is where we went afterwards to shop for fabric. We will definitely come here again!
Crispy Hashbrowns & Bloody Mary Perfection Bill's Cafe continues to be one of my favorite breakfast spots in San Jose. I've had consistently great experiences at multiple locations over the years, and this visit to the Cottle Road location in South San Jose was no exception. The staff and bar service are always friendly, welcoming, and quick. Our must-order is the Bloody Mary with extra olives -- always perfectly satisfying and a great way to start brunch. One of my absolute favorites is their hashbrowns, especially when ordered extra crispy. They never disappoint! I also love building my own omelette with American cheese, ham, spinach, mushrooms, and fresh avocado. The portions are generous, so if I don't finish it all (which rarely happens!), the leftovers make an amazing breakfast the next morning. Consistently delicious food, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere keep us coming back again and again.
We had a lovely brunch at Bill's Café. This location is great. It has a lot of parking available and plenty of outdoor + indoor seating as well. The servers are very attentive and the food comes out super fast. I would say I like this location a lot better than the one on Lincoln for sure (because there is never any parking at the other one lol.) We were helped by a very nice server named Jose Cruz. He was very attentive and provided fast + efficient service. Thank you. :) For food I decided to order the Nutella French Toast. Wow I've never tried the Nutella French toast before but it was delicious! It was also plated nicely and had a great moderate size portion. My friend also loved their dish and said it was a good portion size as well and very filling. This place is perfect for a casual breakfast/brunch experience. One thing I will say is the sausage we ordered was awful. BLEH. lol. It tasted like a vegan/vegetarian sausage instead of real meat to be honest. Everything else was very good, but I would highly suggest skipping the sausage. :)
Great service! Love the size of the mimosa. I ordered the Hawaiian pancakes and my husband got the tri-tip Benedict and it was all very delicious! They were also able to accommodate a party of 10 on a moments notice. Everyone is super friendly!
Bill's Cafe is such reliable place for brunch :) I came in for a Sunday brunch and the wait wasn't too bad, probably about 20 minutes. I got the mimosa flight which is just all right imo. I think the highlight here is the food. I got the mini eggs benedict (4/5) and it was great and the hash browns were cooked perfectly. The baked cinnamon roll (5/5) was sweet just like how I want and was a little crispy. It came with syrup but honestly it doesn't really need it. So glad I got this! The servers were very attentive and checked in on us frequently. Will for sure come back again :)
Great service! We stopped in first thing in the morning after a long trip, and everything hit the spot. The food was tasty and generously portioned, and the staff kept the coffee flowing with frequent check-ins. Family Friendly vibe! Totally recommend :)
Went here for a late brunch date with my boyfriend and had a great time! Always a go-to brunch spot for family and friends, and never disappoints. Since we came a bit later in the day (around 12:30pm), it was not that busy despite being a Saturday. There was no waitlist, and we were seated immediately. Parking was also very easy. Our server was very polite and was very attentive! My boyfriend had their skillet and some buttermilk pancakes. He found them delicious. I had the French toast with a side of scramble eggs. The French toast was fluffy and sweet, I'd totally get it again. Overall a great experience!
This was my first time visiting Bill's Cafe, and I honestly thought it would be just a typical breakfast restaurant. However, my experience turned out to be so much better than I expected! Our server, Jose, was very patient and took the time to introduce the different dishes and explain the menu to us. His friendly service made us feel very welcome. The food was a wonderful surprise -- the hash browns were perfectly crispy on the outside while soft and fluffy inside, and the crab cake was also incredibly crispy and delicious. Overall, we had a great dining experience. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. We will definitely come back again to try more of their breakfast dishes!
Stephanie was awesome. Had a club sandwich and split it with my mom. She was amazing and had it plated for two. I will definitely come back. I love this little place. The cucumber mimosa was wonderful. Ask for Stephanie. She's great
Came to this bills cafe , with my husband we haven't been to this Bills cafe for awhile so we decided to try this location . The server was so nice and he was helpful and recommending some choices we choose for our meal . We will be returning to this location again for sure The lemon chicken soup was amazing I should of got 3 bowls And the hamburger with potato's salad was delicious the potato salad was quite delicious read more
Went at 3pm on a Sunday, full house. Waited about 10-15min to get seated for a party of 7. We originally put down party of 5 as a mistake but the server was able to accommodate and added more chairs and cutlery. Very cozy and family vibes. Portions are huge. They have free drink refills for certain beverages like coffee or soft drink or lemonade. You can upgrade the pancakes or French toast into a combo where you can add bacon/ham, hash browns are extra $. The table can be a bit small for all of the plates (especially with 7 people ) - main dish plate + your side dish plate. They have large takeout containers and will give you syrup to go if you ask. Lemon blueberry pancake tasted delicious and light. Not as fluffy as I would've expected. The side of bacon was a bit too crispy. Smoked salmon benedict was a bit too saucy and the muffin was a bit hard. The side of hash brown was pretty mushy, but still good. Order Lemon Blueberry Pancake w/ side of sunny side eggs & bacon $21 Smoked Salmon Benedict w/ side of hash brown $25 read more

Solid brunch! One of my first meals back in the bay and I finally got to check off Bills. Came here on a Monday and was seated right away around 11am. I got the bills skillet which was delicious. I'm a sucker for skillets, just something about potatoes with meat and cheese haha. The vegetables weren't overcooked and mushy, lots of ham, and eggs were cooked perfectly. I got a pancake upgrade which I probably could've done without, was a little dry. Otherwise, hands down my new favorite brunch spot! Will be back again! read more

I always love coming back here for the baileys latte before 2pm. I don't know what it is about it because I don't normally drink or enjoy alcohol but the baileys latte is absolutely amazing. At every location of Bill's I've gone to, the service is always amazing and above and beyond. The staff is always so kind, attentive, and charismatic. They make coming back here always such a pleasant experience. Bills has been a favorite regular on my breakfast diner rotation and I feel like for good reason. The food never disappoints either, it is always super flavorful and well seasoned. I want to try more items but I always end up sticking with my regular orders most of the time. The food is a bit pricey averaging at about 20$ for each plate but I do think you definitely get your moneys worth because I can never finish the food. I honestly didn't expect myself to love it as much as I do now but I'm finding a new passion in trying a new eggs benedict dish everytime I come back because most of the ones I've tried so far have been phenomenal. I think if you're in the mood for breakfast/brunch and wanna try out Bill's Cafe you definitely should! It is definitely worth the hype in my opinion and is a staple San Jose breakfast diner location for a reason! read more
Been going here for so long but I realized I never wrote a review. The service here is amazing--the server was very attentive. I ordered the crab Benedict, and although it looked small at first, it ended up being really filling. You can also taste the butter they used to make your hash-brown, but I'm also a big fan of their crunchy potatoes. I just love the cozy diner vibes, and they've got the AC blasting, which is perfect. read more

Such a yummy experience here at Bill's Cafe! Was visiting some friends and they were very excited to take me to their old high school breakfast spot! Let me just say it was a great experience and I cannot wait to come back. The prices were decent especially for the quality of food. You pay for the convenience of not worrying about cooking and receiving amazing service from the staff. The staff kept checking in on us and they were super interactive. I felt supported and did not feel overwhelmed by them checking in multiple times. The place seemed to have a busy crowd, but my friend said this was the norm due to it being a great spot to enjoy delicious food! Indoor and outdoor seating available. Definitely check this spot out! read more

Bill's is an excellent breakfast spot with amazing food and an even better atmosphere. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and came out perfectly. Go for the Chilaquiles The drinks were fantastic, and having a full bar is a huge plus perfect for coffee, mimosas, or a great breakfast cocktail. We grabbed the espresso Martinis Our server Yolanda truly made the experience. She was friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish, making sure everything was perfect without ever feeling rushed. Her positive energy and great service really stood out. Between the great food, awesome drinks, and outstanding service, Bill's easily earns five stars. We'll definitely be back and asking for Yolanda again! read more

Great food, great service (super on top of things with the drinks and coffee, food came out very quickly too), we got a table very quickly for 8 people! The Dubai chocolate pancake was surprisingly good, not too dry at all! Perfect sweetness. The Cordon Bleu Omelette special was delicious. And I love the fact they do mini breakfast of all the different breakfast so you can do a half portion, so perfect! Also love their salsa! We always come here when we want a good breakfast, it's really a staple in South San Jose read more

Great breakfast & brunch place. I had my fur baby with me so it was a plus that they were dog friendly and had outdoor patio area. Plenty of seating. We got there about 1045am or so and it was already packed. The staff were friendly and checked in on us. The French toast was thick and tasted ok. The toast got a little hard and dry so I had to drench it with syrup to keep it moist. The potato's and bacon were good and the Belgian waffle tasted great. Overall and great breakfast place. read more
