When I first came to My Kitchen I was expecting it to be like a Denny's. Their menu is so extensive I thought there was no way they could have quality food. However, ever time I've come here (which has been several now) the food has been fresh, hot and delicious! The cooks are super fast in preparing so even ordering takeout is nice. They were slightly under seasoned, but still seasoned - I've always known bfast places to under-season so we can add our own salt and pepper (I've worked in the food industry and it's to help senior population not eat over-salted food). Really disappointed. After reading all the 4 star and 5 star reviews it did not meet expectations. The waffles were over cooked. The breakfast burrito with bacon that my wife ordered - we are still looking for the bacon. It was also made with creme cheese - I never imagined that as a possibilithy. Any time I have to beg the waitress to pay attention and refill my coffee - the service is rotten. I am actually amazed at all the 4 and 5 stars. Are we seeing some 'stacking' of reviews here? Finally a warning. The booths are small - crowded for four. For 5 the 5th must sit in the walkway between booths impeeding servers and for 6 it appears impossible. When we walked in we hear a shout across the room "Sit Anywhere! You Like"! Nothing about which tables had been cleaned, etc. read more

I ordered a $30 New York steak breakfast. The quality/cut of meat was not worth it. The hashbrowns were not homemade and they were undercooked. Compared to the food that the previous owners provided, I was super disappointed. This quaint little place in San Jose near Blossom Hill is a family owned and very nice. You're welcomed by the staff which was Violet. She was very helpful and supportive of my personal needs and suggested some great options. I informed her that I had a free pancake off offer which she was able to verify and fulfilled. That was great. She was also informative about their lunch menu and drinks available. This is a place that you would love to enjoy breakfast lunch at any time. The variety is many and I'm sure you'll enjoy your meal. I surely did. The food was tasty and the eggs were fluffy and plentiful. The banana pancake was very enjoyable and fulfilling in every way possible. You won't regret coming and eating here I can guarantee you'll enjoy it. I'd like to add that the owner April is a great conversationalist and loves to get to know her patrons. She took time to meet me and others while attending to the business. I went in earlier and ordered their Country Breakfast. It was a huge disappointment. I asked for water and coffee. My meal came out. The biscuits were cold, gravy was cold, and watery. The scrambled eggs were also cold. I asked for the hashbrowns with this meal and guess what. Undercooked, raw, and cold. The only thing cooked was the two sausage links. I really was hoping this would be my new spot. Locally owned small business. I hope this review doesn't tarnish them, but encourage the owners to work with the kitchen staff.
