Our friend recently moved to the area and we helped her out with some items. We got there starving. Our server was really nice we came in around 1:30 pm a group of 4 on a Sunday. It wasn't too busy and even though they had an 18 birthday party in their patio we didn't feel like it was overbearing the vibe. Food came out quickly. My sister and I took the same grilled chicken sandwich and we were a little disappointed. The prices aren't cheap, I don't think I even had 3 oz of chicken breast there. It was supposed to come with pesto mayo inside and it had maybe a tsp of it in there, really couldn't tell. The sandwich had no flavor and if anything the little piece of chicken breast was a little burnt. The burgers our friends ordered said they were great so maybe just avoid the grilled chicken sandwich. I did like that there was no problem swapping the fries with a salad. We were very disappointed with our experience at The Creek Eatery. I ordered the chicken saltimbocca, and the chicken was dry, tough, and tasted like it had been microwaved from frozen. My husband ordered a hamburger, and unfortunately it did not taste good at all. Overall, the food was honestly horrible and not what we expected. On top of that, the service was lacking. Went here with my family for a weekend lunch! We love going to this place because everyone is so nice, the food is delicious, and the restaurant looks very inviting and stylish. This place can get pretty busy sometimes, but you can easily make a reservation on OpenTable! For our lunch this time, we got the lamb, a margherita pizza, Caesar salad, and the seafood pasta. I found this place on yelp while searching for a brunch place in the area. It was about noon on a Sunday, and it wasn't busy. We were given the option of lunch or breakfast menu then got seated. The interior is really nice. It's spacious, and there's a bar section tucked in the back. There's also a patio area, so you can bring your dog with you. I ordered the shrimp & grits, and my wife ordered a side of corned beef & hash and toast. We also ordered 2 eggs on the side. The shrimp and grits was tasty. The grits had good buttery, cheesy flavor and texture, but I thought it was too thick. It could be creamier. The rest of the dish was pretty good. The shrimp was well-cooked, and the sauce and bacon topper was good. The serving was so huge. I ate less than a quarter of it and took the rest of home. The corned beef & hash was served without the hash, so they too it back and added the hash. It also tasted really good. Without the hash, the corned beef was pretty salty. The hash was nice and crispy, just how my wife likes it. I'm glad to have found this place and plan to come back to try more items. Not a great start to Mother's Day. Made a reservation for 10:30am in advance as we knew it would be a busy day. Arrived on time and seemed they were not ready for us. Tried to seats us (group of 5) at a 4 top in the back corner outside with not enough room. Once we were finally sat they told us they decided to stop serving breakfast as the kitchen was too backed up. Seemed unprepared and confused about the whole day. We came for New Year's Day dinner, and we made a reservation for 10 even though they said there wouldn't be a wait when we arrive. But, it was great we made a reservation since they had us set up in their private room that comfortable would seat 12 people. Our server was attentive, refilling drinks, checking in on us, etc. The other servers and wait staff were great too. Very friendly and asking if we needed anything. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is because our food didn't come out at the same time, and it was a wait between serving our main dishes. The last meal that came out was maybe 15 minutes after the first meal. Some of us were almost done eating by the time the last meal came out. Came here on a Saturday for lunch last month. We were welcome warmly into the restaurant. The restaurant has a great friendly vibe. We were meeting a friend and there was no problem with us being seated so we could order a drink before our friend arrived. Our server Enrique provided some of the best service we have ever had. He treated us like old friends instead of someone he had just met. The restaurant is decorated with an earthy outdoor feel to it. Ahhh Creek Eatery! It was my first time here, and when I visited with my family, I didn't enjoy the food or service. My family enjoyed the food, so I may have ordered the wrong items. When we sat down, many staff members came to our table and helped us! It was odd having a couple of waitresses help; it felt almost disorganized. Upon arriving, my family were hyping up the spicy fried green beans, which were not too hot but very crispy. The calamari was decent as well, starting the meal. I wanted something not too heavy, so I got their BLT with fries, which was good initially, but I realized the bacon was fat and oily. It was not edible, so I pulled it all out. Then, the fries were soggy because they were also oily. It's not too hard to mess up fries, cmon haha! I wanted to enjoy this place but left hungry. Our work group decided to celebrate Christmas by having lunch here. The place had a lovely and inviting atmosphere. We had reserved seating for 32 people; and preordered a variety of their pizza lunch specials which included individual salads. Our boss also added a bunch of appetizers. We have been here a few times now. They have a really cute outdoor patio in a nice and safe part of SJ. It's been a bit of a mixed bag as far as the food goes; I have ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup twice. The first time it was good, last time the bread wasn't really toasted/the whole thing was pretty cold. The soup is great though. The service is prompt and friendly. The patio and tables get a little beat up after the weekend brunch rush but it's close to home and they have nice German NA beer so that's easy enough to overlook. The restaurant has a cute outdoor dining area but since it was cold, we opted to sit inside. We coincidentally went in a Monday when appetizers are only $10! We tried the calamari and mussels. Both were delicious. The red sauce that the mussels were in was so good. We dipped everything in it--the calamari, the bread, and event the pizza crust. Both appetizers are a must try! The magnet it's pizza was also very delicious. I love the texture of the pizza crust. The two of us were so full off of just 2 appetizers and a pizza. Got the BBQ chicken pizza after a fishing trip with some friends. Was the perfect occasion, otherwise I don't think I would normally have been able to finish a full pizza by myself. But I was tired and hungry this time. The BBQ sauce tasted pretty good, had the right amount of tang, and the chicken portion was pretty generous too (albeit a bit dry). I think the pizza could have used a bit more red onion as well as some green herbs (like some chopped parsley or something like that). Those are really key to balancing out the pizza, otherwise it's just a mound of cheese, chicken, BBQ sauce and dough, which can start feeling too heavy QUICK. The bottom of the pizza was also slightly burnt -- wish it had been taken out of the oven a bit earlier. All in all, not the best BBQ chicken pizza I've had, but pretty decent. I wanted my eggs runny... and they did prepare it perfectly! The green sauce was light and very smooth. The pickled red onions were great to balance out the saltiness of the cotija cheese. The potatoes were soft but weren't soggy. It was a bit weird that it came w/ a few pieces of pinto beans only because I would rather have Mexican rice and beans as opposed to the country potatoes, but don't get me wrong. The potatoes were excellent. The appetizer which came out first, the meatballs. It was tender, the sauce tangy. When enjoying this dish, we brought up all of the places we have been that serves mean meatballs. We both agreed that this place makes pretty bomb meatballs. It was good, I did feel like it was missing something, but I can't pinpoint what that could be. Maybe a side of lime wedges or pico de gallo. Not sure. I had the Fried Chicken Salad which was one of the best I have ever had. Perfectly breaded and crispy. It had the right amount of coleslaw. Too many places put too much and it takes away from fried chicken. The garlic fries were just ok. The BBQ chicken pizza was very good as well.
