Cityline fit club handed out $10 off coupons for the Melt so that brought me in today after a great workout. Parking is easy and free in the orange lot behind the melt. There is both outdoor and indoor seating, you can order at the kiosk or at the counter and they give you a pager to collect your food once ready. Food came out fairly quickly, I didn't have to wait too long. I ordered the spicy mission burger. The burger quality is great, so if you're worried about the high price point, you definitely do pay for the quality! Loved the burger sauce and jalapeños. Pickle was good, bun was fluffy. No complaints. read more

The Melt is a unique chain that offers a Hamburger prepared as close to "Medium" (not quite "Medium Rare" for moist meat that is not overcooked. For that reason, if you like tender burgers, this could be your best spot compared to everyone else. I'd recommend THE MELT and they do have various locations too. read more

The Melt is a great spot if you're trying to grab a bite to eat in the area late at night. They even have a really nice outdoor seating area that's well lit. They have some great options with their various burgers and grilled cheeses. Make sure to get something with a tomato soup. I was also pretty happy with the milkshake. It was filled all the way up into the domed lid of the cup. Love to see that. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you're in the area. read more

Looking for a great spot to grab a bite? We got lucky and scored curbside parking right in front, but don't worry if those spots are taken they also offer free covered garage parking, just a short walk away. As soon as you walk in, you'll notice the self-service kiosks where you can easily place and pay for your order. Once you're done, you'll receive a buzzer that lets you know when your food is ready for pickup. The restaurant has a fun, inviting atmosphere with plenty of seating options, including cozy booths, tables, high-top seating, a cute patio, and additional outdoor seating. It's a smaller spot with a great vibe, friendly setup, and most importantly... the food is definitely worth the visit! read more

This place is good! A group of us came after a street fair that was taking place in downtown Sunnyvale. They were a little busy but since it was so nice outside that evening, sitting outside was fine. Inside doesn't have a lot of seating just a heads up. Food came out pretty quickly. Everything was fresh and pretty on point. Only complaint is it needed more sauce, but it was an easy fix to just ask for sauce on the side. You have the option of ordering on the kioski or with a human. They also have a craft soda machine so that was nice. If you want a good burger with great portions, give them a try! read more

All around pretty clean execution on a gorgeously juicy burger. Painless ordering process with plenty of peeps up front, online orders, or touchscreen ordering. Staff even brought the whole thing out for you if you dine in, so pretty on top of things for what's basically fast-food. MickyDs eat your heart out, this is serious competition. The burger can get a tad messy, but it is so decadently constructed all is forgiven. Just be ready for that before you start though, so napkins at hand and all. A single is definitely enough for most peeps, with a double burger for the extra hungry. read more

We're going five stars for the patties and fries. My oldest son is a fan of five guys and in & out, so we haven't tried this spot even though we walk by it almost weekly. We decided to give it a shot after a late soccer practice -- they are open very late! My son got a double smashed and I went with the BBQ & bacon. The quality of the meat was definitely noticeable. A good char, juicy inside, and lots of flavor. I prefer a medium rare but most of these places cook their burgers to medium or medium well and you can't adjust. The garlic fries were My son thought they give five guys (his favorite fry in town, after a thorough research project) a run for their money and surpass with the garlic. There is plenty of indoor seating and a few tables outside. The service was professional. Not as friendly as some places, but definitely appreciated. read more

Didn't expect service at all instead what a great service, easy to order whether you want to self serve or at the cashier. The place is well lit and clean and service was good. We ordered garlic fries, cheese with bacon, grill chicken with mushrooms, and mushroom melt burgers, all were grilled with garlic flakes, melted cheese, added fresh spinach, not your typical lettuces and tomatoes. Milk shakes were freshly made. Wait, did I mention great service? The cashier went around and ask everyone inside if their burgers were made ok, if we needed anything else or anything missing, we got the # buzzer to go get our food instead he helped my son to bring our food to the table. The only thing my wife didn't like was both burgers and fries were a bit salty which for guys that's a plus!! Great to go with a beer! Cheers! read more

I'm not a huge burger person, but occasionally I do crave one, and the other day, this place hit the spot! I think this was great for a line order burger restaurant. I ordered the Spicy Mission Meltburger and my boyfriend ordered the BBQ Bacon Meltburger. These were large, juicy patties that covered the whole area of the bun without being so big that it's difficult to actually eat the burger. I enjoyed the Spicy Mission combination with pepper jack, jalapeños, avocado and spicy sauce, as it had a kick but was well balanced overall. We also ordered sweet potato fries, which were just the right level of crispy and soft. Will definitely come back to try a melt classic or crispy chicken sandwich, as well as some mac n cheese! read more

Right off the bat. This place's service is not the best so I didn't exactly enjoy ordering in-person from this Melt. The staff was helpful but didn't speak english that well, hence communication was a little tricky. (If you speak Spanish, you may get around this.) Also the Menu's didn't show a Kid's Menu when the kiosks did. These aren't terrible things-- but again I was left disappointed. What actually made it worse was their look of annoyance to me when I was confused by what they were trying to say. Maybe just order through the Kiosk here folks; I don't think the staff is as pleasant here as other Melts... The food is good though! The Melt is what you come to expect. Thankfully a grilled cheese sandwich isnt that hard to create. :) Would I come back here? I don't think so. Again, the staff seemed easily annoyed and reluctant to help with my order. This was all at lunch time too... so I am left confused and a little bummed out. Up to you. If I were you, maybe try somewhere with a kinder staff. read more

Ordered our food to go. Got the double mushroom burger added an extra egg and tomatoes, it was big and delicious just needed some ketchup, . It took us a while to discover The Melt in Sunnyvale, despite going to downtown Sunnyvale often. We just never walked down that part of McKinley. We only noticed it when there was an outdoor event where they closed off the block to set up booths. We strolled down the block to look at the booths for the event and discovered The Melt (and Urban Plates) near the end of that block, then made a note to come back another time. We were excited to check out The Melt. The burgers looked delicious and we had high expectations. Unfortunately, our first time trying The Melt left us disappointed. We ordered 2 burgers (the BBQ Bacon and the Shroom burgers) plus a Cookies & Cream milk shake. When we got home and opened the lids, we discovered that the BBQ Bacon burger was missing its top bun (see photo). How does this even happen? The person who closed the lid and packaged everything into the take out bag did not even notice that the burger had a missing bun?! Talk about lack of attention to details. We did not order the burger "without a bun". The label on top of the lid does not even say "no bun" (see photo). This is a pretty big quality control issue. That said, the rest of the BBQ Bacon burger was yummy. We were still disappointed that we got "less" than what we ordered. The Shroom burger was also delicious. I would get this again. Someday. Or maybe never. I dunno. I am not yet ready to give The Melt a second try when there are so many other burger restaurants that have never made such a huge error on my orders. Our Cookies & Cream milk shake was pretty good. I loved how they have a drink carrier that keeps it upright in the bag when you take it home (see photo). I like how they have a covered outdoor seating area in front of the restaurant. Sometimes it's nice to be outside while not having the hot sun beating down on you. There's inside seating, a few regular tables and a high table. Parking in the area is pretty easy. There's some street parking, and also nearby garages. read more

I always wanted to try this place. I came here for a lunch date. The service was really good, it's located in a business center with plenty of free parking. We ordered on the kiosk, but the person at the counter was hella nice and helpful. I just got a single burger, the ratio was actually hella good. We also ordered the mac and cheese, I think it's a lowkey sleeper hit. HELLA good especially for the price. The drinks were good as well. I have no complaints, I would come here again. read more

Stumbled across this spot after running some errands at target. There is some street parking in front but a few free parking structures just around the corner. There is lots of seating on the inside and a few spots outside. We ordered off the tablet and the menu was huge! Lots of options on burgers to sandwiches to salads. They even have Mac n cheese. -Swiss n shroom melt burger: 3.5/5, My boyfriend said that there was lots of flavor but getting the extra bacon was over board. The buns got soggy after a while. -truffle fries: 3/5, There was plenty of garlic and the fries were crispy but I wish they melted the Parmesan cheese on top. The staff members are so friendly and efficient! My takeout orders are always ready in about 10 minutes. They offered me a warm cookie today while I was waiting for my order, so sweet. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. My favorites are the Melty Mac, Meltburger, garlic parmesan fries, "Golden Gate" orange soda, and vanilla milkshake. I was truly disappointed that a group of Latino boys walked in and it was beyond me how the worker thought it was appropriate to embarrass the boys in front of everyone when the boys got water the worker yelled in front of everyone that was there, that they make sure to just get water. It was truly sad to see that these boys just got out of school and were looking for some cool water and this establishment decided to treat them in this way. Honest dine-in review: After concert munchies? Nothing hits the spot like California hospitality and a burger at 11pm! 5/5 With many places closed other than bars. It's always good to find a yelp hidden gem like the melt! Was welcomed in by the cashier and introduced to the menu options and his personal recommendations. As well as some drinks that are healthier and honestly better than your Coke and Pepsi products if you're comparing. -BBQ meltburger: 5/5 When you're hungry and walked by all the people screaming hotdogs at you on your way to the car... you stop and think... I should have bought that hotdog! WRONG!!! You should have come here and we did! Smash burger with some melty cheese covered with bacon on the top bun and met with a delicious buttery bun and savory sauce. I couldn't be happier with my selection! This was one of the better fast food bites because it felt like a hole in the wall experience! It gave great flavors and perfect Maillard reaction to the patties, so, it gets a win! -Fajita's Mac n cheese: 4/5 Different! It was good with some good and fresh toppings but it was... different, a good different as the Mac n cheese was delicious, paired with a crisp bite from the jalapeños and the bell peppers. It gave a different feel to what macaroni and cheese is, however. It wasn't for me, it might be for you but it was delicious to get a texture experience that was unique and packed with flavor! Definitely glad to have stopped in for a bite and been welcomed to sit down at midnight! Great food, great service, delicious experience! read more

3.5 stars tbh It was clean, easy to find, accessible, service was great: greeted upon entry and upon exiting. You're able to order at the counter or the 4 kiosks. Ordered: Shroom burger: no crunchy onions, no spinach, no sauce - so I got it plain 4/10 I was really excited to eat it... I liked that the patty was larger than the buns. Although, the buns were cold and lacked flavor as did the patty. The cheese was warm but I wished it was oozing so I could do a cheese pull! The ratio of mushrooms to buns were not enough. The patty was too pink. I lost interest in finishing it. Classic crispy chicken 7/10 It was perfectly crispy; although, it lacked flavor. Strawberry lemonade 10/10 Soo good! Comparable to Red Robin and Chick Fil A!! I wished it was larger in size. Garlic parmesan fries 10/10 This was delish! Love the uniqueness of the pepper flakes. Perfection! We were given a complimentary chocolate chip cookie! 10/10 Chewy and tasted delish! Won't be going back but maybe they can improve on the feedback given. read more

I've been here several times and love how 1) easy it is to park (parking garage behind the establishment) and the choices & convenience of placing your order (4 kiosks, Mobile or the cashier). 2) Seating inside and outside (covered outdoor patio with TV, which is where you walk thru to get inside). 3) Choices! I remember way back, like 20!years ago their menu was so limited. 4) Food & shakes = tasty and awesome! My bestie and I went for lunch today (her first time) and Lee who worked the front counter kicked ass!!! He was juggling so many tasks yet he managed to be courteous and cool under pressure! We told him he was hustling and doing a great job. He was appreciative of our kudos. Came here for a quick late lunch. Team was friendly and welcoming! One of the was staff continuously checking in with the customers which I was surprised by the genuine kind service! :-) As for the food, the melty Mac was good. I enjoy how I am able to customize my order. I added jalapeño to my Mac and cheese! I also enjoyed the crunchy crumbs as the topping. It was quick and it wasn't too busy when I came in for lunch. However, it wasn't as cheesy as I would like. It was still really good, but I didn't get a pull from cheese as I was eating it! Overall, 4/5 experience. First time trying this place. We ordered in the kiosk but it was easy to order from. Had to grab our drinks from the server but she was sweet and quick. The burger I got, I ordered it to go but ate there, the container that my burger was put into was awkward to get a grip on the full burger as well as it moistened the bottom bun, so with that being moist and the grease from the meat, it caused the bun to fall apart quicker. Taste was on point! Felt like I was eating a burger from home, it didn't taste processed, frozen or over salted! We also ordered the Mac n cheese, I'm always picky with my pastas but they did well! The noodles were not over cooked or soggy, and it had great flavor. I did order a rice crispy desert that was not in my bag and I totally forgot about it until I was on the road. The niece grabbed their Mac daddy ... that ish was bomb!! Mac n cheese with bacon strips in between sourdough bread ... yes please!! read more
