This is another location which not only it recently opened here before the one in Palo Alto and Sunnyvale, but also it's now the closest location from where I live. It's in Rivermark Plaza at Santa Clara and looks better than the one in Sunnyvale. It looks really nice inside. It's as if I walked inside a casino. Ordering there in-person is almost impossible because staff is very busy. Good thing that they kiosks allowing them to save time. I don't mind using them tbh. Before I had one of their regular sandwich melts which I believe comes with mac and cheese. I wanted to try one of their burgers and it's gotta be one of the best burgers out there. Its very juicy and patty-to-bun ratio is at the right spot! I also wanted to try one of their snickerdoodle milkshakes and really tastes sweet and delicious. Sometimes I gotta twirl it to get lessen the viscosity of the drink. The Parmesan fries are really good though. I saw a few pieces of garlic and ate them anyways. This is one of the best sandwich spots in the Bay Area and I'm looking forward to trying more stuff! read more

I have normally ordered food from The Melt through DoorDash, but on our way to Red Robin, we saw The Melt and decided to eat there instead since it was a "burger" day. Unfortunately, I failed to take a picture of my burger because it smelled so good and I was anxious to eat it! The patty was like a "smash" burger and super yummy! A bit messy, but worth it. When I had trouble ordering from the kiosk, Liz was very patient and helped me out with my customization. We ordered the Patty Melt, Swiss and Shroom Meltburger and they were both delicious. The garlic fries is the bomb! The regular fries are good and crispy too. The tomato soup is good but a bit too sour to my taste. They have limited selection on their milkshakes and they're good and thick. Overall their food is great. The place is clean overall and they close late. It's great for late night dining when everywhere else is closed. It also has a nice open indoor-outdoor dining environment. There is a garage door that opens up to the outside during a nice day or closes up when it's cold and windy. I'd say they need to improve the software in the kiosk to let us customize certain menu items such as Patty Melt. It's very strange they let you customize burgers but not Patty Melts. read more

Awesome this joint closes late, like 2:00 am late. Pretty busy for a Friday night after 9:30 pm. But we got a table for 4 before a few more larger crowds came. They have several self-serve machines and you can still pay at the register. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time considering the number of people. Their Melt Burger was pretty good. I finished my whole burger, and I only did single patty. Sweet potato fries were yum, and it was nice that, I think, was the manager walked around to table asking how everything is. The cheese from the sandwich had a really nice pull and everything was so tasty. Texture of the bread and egg were great. I really enjoyed the sweet potato fries as well. There's plenty of seating with indoor and outdoor seats available. It's a walk-up counter where you order and you get a buzzer when your for is ready, so no having to deal with table service or people interrupting your conversation. Lots of garlic flavor, actual garlic chunks, and their melt spice compliments it so well (I do no parm cause I think it overpowers the potato flavor personally). I usually get the same crew since I drop by at night and always get my food from Ash. He's awesome and is so personable, it's always an amazing experience coming here. When we arrived we ordered using the kiosk which was pretty easy and not complicated. The restaurant is decently sized and is very open. I can see this restaurant get busy and full especially on the weekends. We ordered the melt burger with no cheese and the swiss n shroom meltburger. Our burgers were very tasty and were cooked well. The patty was not overcooked and tasted really well. I liked how you can customize your burger completely to your own preference. We ordered the garlic parmesan fries and mac n cheese. This is why I gave 4 stars, neither the sides were good in our opinion. If you're gonna do the mac n cheese don't get the mini mac I couldn't really taste anything and it was definitely just a regular mac n cheese. Stopped in on Monday night with my mom, sister, and husband for a quick dinner. The place is decorated nicely, with local wood cut outs, and retro lighting. We ended up ordering three different sandwiches, two different types of fries, and soup. I will say the jalapeño pickle mix is actually quite spicy, so that with the spicy melt sauce did make mine pretty hot. Davon walked around with some samples of fresh chocolate chip cookies which wraps were delicious, and was super friendly and continued to check in on us throughout the night. I got a double chocolate shake, malted, and it was amazing!! For my meal I got their mac and cheese and it was so flavorful creamy and cheesy, and the breadcrumbs were so good. I also added bacon which make it killer. My partner got the melt burger which he devoured. We also got a side of the garlic fries which were good, but I think we want to eat in next time so it's nice and crispy. I also love that they include huge pickles, this is an essential. I feel like The Melt is hyped up. I remember hearing about one of the locations in Saratoga opening up and I wanted to try it out but didn't get a chance to dine-in until recently at their Santa Clara location. I like to think of myself as a sandwich connoisseur since one of my first jobs was at Togo's (which is primarily a Westcoast-based sandwich chain). Not the fanciest place by any means but I feel like I have a general idea or two of what a good sando should entail. Ok, now back to regular programming. For a sandwich, burger, and salad-based joint, there's ample seating inside and they even have dining tables outside too! I decided to order the, "Italian Job", which essentially is a cheese sandwich with mushrooms along with a side of parmesan garlic fries from the self-service kiosk. The sandwich is kind of a ripoff ($9) since it's something I think anyone could make very easily at home. I didn't find that it was to die for and I don't think it's worth coming back a second time around. The garlic fries were also unnecessarily oily with way too many greasy pieces of garlic adorned throughout. I struggled to eat those fries which is unusual since I'm a french fry girl. I called to let them know for a refund as we didn't want to drive back for some fries. The man who was on the other end of the phone was very pleasant to speak with and told me that he was going to refund the fries, which I was totally fine with. However, the man asked how far away we were and after learning we aren't too far, offered to make us fresh fries and drive it to us and still honor the refund. I was blown away by his sweet gesture and amazing customer service. The kids really enjoyed the French fries with their delicious burgers.
