    Mushroom Cheesesteak ($16)
    Rachel L.

Greasy but tasty. I am not a cheesesteak connoisseur whatsoever as this is probably the 2nd or 3rd cheesesteak I've consumed in my entire life. I went with the mushroom cheesesteak but also tried my friends' original, garlic, and chopped cheese flavors. My favorites definitely were the mushroom and garlic flavors. They were the most flavorful ones, as the original and chopped cheese were more reminiscent of a cheeseburger of sorts. It's a heavy sandwich but a tasty one at that. I just wish it was a bit less soggy or for them to use less oil. Small line when we went on a Sunday night, but they were fairly quick with making and taking orders. Minimal seating outside the shop and no seating inside. Such a strong an delicious smell that comes from the restaurant which really lures you in. Slightly on the pricier end as well.

I have been to their Berkeley location many years ago. This location just opened up less than a month ago. Abraham is super friendly and gave good recommendations. I ordered the cheese steak and waffle fries with chilli. The fries were piping hot and pretty good. It might be helpful to have a different container as the heat kinda makes the box "melt-ish". The chilli might help to be in a different container. The sandwich had really good bread. I would allow for the sauces to be a separate container as well. The 4 stars, is in comparison with other cheese steak shops.

    Spicy steak. 5/5!

Friendly folks -- while in line, guy asked if we'd been there before, and when we said no, he very enthusiastically pointed out the sandwiches they're known for. Storefront's tiny, they have plastic tables outside for dining. It was too cold to be eating outside when we went so we took ours to go. Onion rings: 5/5! So crunchy (even after a 10 min drive home) and perfectly battered. Highly recommend! Chopped cheese: I've never had a chopped cheese before and I'm not a burger fan, so I didn't think it was anything special. Spicy steak: 5/5. Loved this. I love most cheesesteaks tho. Bread's soft yet sturdy, great level of spicy, very saucy, great ratio of ingredients. There were mushrooms, even tho the menu doesn't say so. Maybe kitchen's mistake, who knows. My only complaint about the food is that it started feeling disturbingly greasy about halfway thru. I'd skip mayo next time, and maybe only eat half the sandwich, difficult as that'll be given how good it was. Definitely recommend and will return!!

Portion size was good, no indoor seating. It was 21 dollars for a burger and fry which is pretty crazy. The burger itself was good but nothing to write home about. The fries are nice and crispy. Service was a little slow but they did make all of it from scratch so no stars docked there! Everyone was super chill but yea i just hope they lower their prices.

Tried out this new cheesesteak place they also have beef and chicken burgers and popcorn chicken and tenders. I got the truffle oil cheesesteak and it was good. The tenders were not good but it's about the cheesesteak. Not much parking but students can walk/bike from Santa Clara University. Lots of boba shops next door to get a drink with your food. There's no inside seating so might be cold outside and not many tables. I think I would only come here in the summertime or order off DOORDASH but it was already expensive not sure if it would be even more in the app!

came here around 7pm, pretty busy, i saw the orders through their screen and it was packed lol. not A LOT of street parking but there is parking along the road if you go further down, there isn't a designated parking lot or anything so you have to park on the street. i got the garlic fries, and chopped cheese, both were super flavorful and honestly i used to get this a lot while i was in berkeley and im glad that they opened one in the south bay. this is a decent sandwich/burger spot and i highly recommend if you're craving something super good, they have tons of options. there are also outside seating, the place is fairly small so waiting inside would get crowded if you're trying to wait for your order to be finished. they call you through a receipt number but they don't have a speaker outside or anything so you would have to carefully listen.

So I drive past this location daily and wanted to check it out. Im so glad I did because it was definitely one of the tastiest burgers I've had in a very long time! My family was also very happy and enjoyed it all. It was a pickup order even though they have delivery available as well. I ordered 4 burgers in total, since the family all wanted burgers, not to mention the fact that they serve Beef Bacon. This was our order 1 California burger (with chicken) 1 Cheese burger (plain) 1 Bacon cheeseburger (with the works) and 1 bacon cheese burger (no sauce, no onion, no mayo, but added hot peppers) (my order) 2 Naked fries & drink combo The burgers, the fries were all very good and we really enjoyed it all. The price however is a little high, averaging between $12-$14 a burger. The only thing I would say I was disappointed in is that the seating and parking is limited. Regardless, I will however be going back in the future because it was really good. Check it out if you are in the area or just order online. They have many options on their menu. The overall best part is that they are Halal! Hard to find good Halal places but this one is really good!!

Amazing beyond words!!! Greeted by a friendly great staff fCute little shop that packs a huge and delicious flavor all around. From the delicious watermelon lemonade to the garlic fries just like being in a ball park, to the great tasting Truffle Burger and the signature Homey Garlic Wings (Not Photographed ) they were eaten too fast because they were so good. Nice little outdoor seating where you can watch your food being prepared with nothing to hide!!!! Definitely % recommended to all!!! An will be back

The sandwich was a pepper steak with sweet peppers and no cheese mayo or mustard. The sandwich was excellent with good bread. Was delicious. The place was very clean and welcoming.

Service was amazing. Sandwich was made quickly and didn't feel rushed. Packed with ingredients and so flavorful. Only downside is there's no inside seating or bathroom but they did ok with setting up outside tables. My order: Pastrami steak Edits: no mayo, no mustard Added honey garlic sauce and ranch Popcorn shrimp with gochujang sauce was delish

Most cheesesteak shops have a thick and chewy hoagie that sometimes gets to be bit too chewy and becomes a problem trying to take a clean bite - more often than not, it ends up with the meat falling out of the hoagie, and/or juice oozing out onto your lap. Not so here at New Jersey's! This is the first time I ate a cheesesteak with no mess, no meat falling out, no juice on my pants! They solve the problem by using a soft hoagie roll. Yet there is not the sogginess that one automatically expects, as there is little juice to be soaked up. If you think that this makes for a dry cheesesteak, it does not. The meat is tender, not dry at all, the onions and mushrooms are not limp, but the flavor is all there! Some people may prefer the thicker bun to give it a definite bite, but I do like this more refined eating experience!

I personally have not been to this location, but had tried them when they were just Jerseys off of Winchester blvd. A friend recommended them because he said he had the best onion rings and they make their own ranch dressing. I got the standard cheesesteak with onions and cheese. Sadly I did not really get the cheese with my cheesesteak, there was one hidden slice inside my sandwich. Definitely not what I am used to if I have a cheesesteak anywhere else. The flavor was good, I just missed the cheese :( I know people love this place, but I will probably just go back to my regular spot on Saratoga.

The cheesesteak had lots of cheese and steak and the roll was very buttery. The fries were cooked perfect and came out hot. From what I can tell, it's just Kenny working here so the service can be a bit slow but he is very apologetic about taking a while for orders. But with that being said, I suggest you plan ahead or make sure you're not in a rush. I love that the place is decorated with all of his customers. It's almost like walking into a thrift shop that has random things going on from hundreds of photos of Kenny with customers, US flags, a table full of military business cards, Mercedes Benz trinkets, etc etc. Please be informed that Kenny is THE only person in here which means, he's the greeter, the cook, the cashier, and entertainer lol. The food can take long for a reason and there's no music or TV anywhere so it's quiet. The furniture is random as well; some from an office space, elementary school, and an all wooden table with chairs from someone's grandma's house. Me and my co workers ordered 2 burritos: Regular steak and eggs and a steak bulgogi. We waited maybe 15 mins for our which wasn't too long. The burritos had this soft white cheese melted on top which gave the tortilla this vanilla sweetness. I didn't really like that. The steak meat was sweet but didn't have that bulgogi marinade taste. Both of our burritos tasted like a plain egg, potato, and blank steak breakfast burrito. It was nothing special but the size is huge and one can be shared by two people. The burritos came with this sweet chipotle sauce with some sweet peppers in which it did add some flavor. Kenny is the man though! He's super nice and proud. He's very entertaining and enjoys talking to his guests. His son is in the army so it's one of the reasons why he's very patriotic. Is it a bit much?! Sure, but this cafe wouldn't be what it is without all of this randomness. It's a neighborhood gem and a historic landmark in this side of town. Kenny is well known to the area and is beloved. We enjoyed his company. Thank you so much Kenny!!

I live in San Jose now, so I don't make it over as often, but I've always considered it one of my favorite places for a great burger. In fact, I was just telling a coworker this week how good their burgers were, which is what convinced me to stop in for lunch today. Unfortunately, this visit was a huge disappointment. I ordered a burger, my wife had the chicken tenders, and we shared an order of cheese fries. The burger arrived completely undercooked. The pictures don't even do it justice--it wasn't just rare, it was raw. After a few bites I realized the meat wasn't even warm in the center. Since they use pre-formed patties, I'd think cooking them consistently would be one of the easier things to get right. By the time I realized how raw it was, I'd already eaten a few bites, and the meal was ruined. We ended up spending about $50 on a lunch that was essentially inedible. It was also 1:00 p.m. on a Saturday, and the restaurant was surprisingly empty. Maybe that's a sign that things have changed, but it's sad to see. As a longtime customer, this wasn't the experience I expected from a place I used to recommend without hesitation.
