Overall: I came here to eat and have brunch with my cousins around 11AM to Jack's Restaurant & Bar! They were too busy and the space was very spacious which I love in a brunch spot (compared to the very popular spots, this is a plus!). The place feels very relaxed and modern - the waiter took our orders and the food came out pretty quickly. I shared with my fiance; the Hangover which was crispy hashbrowns, beef chili, topped with sunny side up eyes with a side of sourdough bread. My wife, oldest son and I have eaten at Jack's twice in the past few weeks with some of my family members. Since Jack's at Westgate is close to their homes, it made sense to go there. Their menu is diverse and offers many options for lunch or breakfast. They don't skimp on their portions and their service is quick and their staff are friendly. Our first visit, my wife and oldest son ordered breakfast. My wife ordered the chili cheese omelette, hash browns and toast. Our son had the Carnivore (all meat) omelette, hash browns and toast. I ordered the Spaghetti and Clams. This most recent visit, my wife and son both ordered a Classic burger, cheddar cheese and fries. I enjoyed the fish-n-chips that came with tartar sauce, Cole slaw and fries. All the food was really good and filling. Everyone enjoyed the burgers and they are good-sized too. My fish-n-chips were delish. The fish was cooked just right, the Cole slaw was tasty and the fries were nice and crispy. The service was very good and the staff were friendly. They came around often to check on us and refilled our beverages, as well. The noise level was low, so we could enjoy our conversations. A solid place to enjoy a meal. Stop by Jacks after finishing up the Nation Night Run at PayPal on a Saturday night and surprisingly wasn't busy at all. We were seated immediately, but there was a bit of wait for a server. After we order our food the starters came out pretty quick. For the starters we ordered hot wings and Asian wings. Hot wings were flavorful and had just the right amount of sauce. Asian wings sauce was on point and not over powering. Our entrees did take a bit of time to come out. Our server Ronnie was great, nice and friendly. He checked up on us consistently and kept refilling our water without asking. The main entrée Shrimp scampi: My daughter ordered this and it was ok. Surprised it didn't come with any side like bread. I had lunch here, with my friend after shopping at the Westgate Shopping Center. The restaurant is in front of the mall and shares a parking lot with it as well. When we walked in, the place was busy. The outdoor seating area was all full on one side and empty on the other. We let them know we wanted to sit inside at a booth. They accommodated us and seated us right away. It's very large very spacious inside with a large amount of seating. There is even a private area for large groups. There is a full bar area with plenty of seating too. We were brought ice water and menus. They offer a variety of American comfort foods and some Greek dishes. The menu we were looking at offered breakfast and lunch. There is a separate menu for dinner as well as a happy hour menu. I ordered the Sunset Boulevard Burger. This burger came with avocado, bacon, Jack & cheddar cheese on sourdough bread. I chose a salad for my side. My friend ordered the Code Bleu Burger. This burger came with bleu cheese, bacon, BBQ sauce and onion rings in it. She chose sweet potato fries for her side. There was an upcharge of $1.95 for the sweet potato fries. For our drinks, my friend got a Diet Pepsi and I ordered an iced tea. Our food came out quickly. The burgers were both delicious. They prepared mine a perfect medium rare and made my friend's burger medium well, as was requested. My burger was so flavorful and juicy. They had all the fixings on the side. My side salad was very good but I didn't care for the dressing. Our kind server brought me a few other dressings for me to try and I ended up using the herbed vinaigrette. My friend loved her burger, especially the bleu cheese. Her sweet potato fries were crispy and delicious. The portion sizes were huge. We could only eat half of our meal, because it was so big. Service was excellent. Our sever checked on us several times and refilled our drinks without us having to ask. I live 5 minutes away from here but never knew how AMAZING Jack's is. That is, until tonight! Wifey and I randomly came here this Friday night at 7:30PM and were HIGHLY impressed. You see, Yardhouse in Santana Row used to be our go-to spot until we realized that the wait can be overwhelming (especially during Happy Hour). When we went to Jack's, there was no wait and wifey and I were seated immediately. And speaking of Yardhouse, Jack's reminded us of our former favorite go-to spot, which is a great thing! Service was quick and friendly, food was delicious, and ambience was amazing (TV, bar, comfy booths). We opted for the calamari w/ jalapeños, tutto mare, and smash burger with garlic fries. ALL dishes were absolutely SUBLIME. We are excited to explore the rest of the menu in the very near future, including the breakfast and lunch dishes. I've always loved Jack's. However, my recent experience was awful. The place was packed, as always, so I opted to sit at the bar. The server was working her buns off but she was swamped. It took 20 minutes for my drink to arrive. It tasted watered down. The dinner appeared. Without utensils. It took another five minutes to obtain them. The steak was so tough that I could barely saw through it, even with a steak knife. It was flavorless. Veggies consisted of a few soggy slices of zucchini and two tiny broccoli trees. The mashed spuds were tasty. A delicious pumpkin bread pudding starred. Zero stars for the cocktail and main course. One star for the intrepid server and one star for the lovely dessert. Came here for happy hour and we were satisfied. We were seated at a spacious booth despite only being a party of 2. We got the lamb sliders and It was perfectly cooked and juicy. We added the tzatziki from the Mediterranean sampler and it just elevated the slider. My bf enjoyed the Asian wings, I didn't care for it as much as it was too sweet. I did enjoy the hot wings but it is your typical hot wings. The rest of Mediterranean sampler was great. Service was just ok. Perfectly poached eggs with the jelly yolk. Asked for sourdough toast instead of hashbrown. The pita was warm and soft and the tzatziki and hummus were especially good. Personally am not a fan of lamb but I got the lamb burger (3.5/5) to try and it was fine. It's definitely not hitting the burger craving but it was cooked well. The sweet potatoes fries (5/5) were soooo good and I'd definitely get those again! The Italian Mac (4/5) was delicious too! Cheesy and the Italian sausage was flavorful. I would want to try out their other Macs in the future. I tried my bf's chicken gyro and I thought it was good. Chicken was seasoned pretty well and the sauce was tasty. Only feedback is the service could be better. They didn't provide enough utensils and napkins so we had to keep waiting for the server to get to us. Visited many times but this week was a special one with a friend who has been recouping from surgery and rehab. We shared a booth and drinks were delicious. Bartender Juan made a great cosmo (don't tell anyone, I had 2 they were so good). Jack's lamb sliders are just what I needed and the coconut shrimp dish was cooked perfectly. I subbed tzatziki dip with their housemade chips instead of French onion soup dip - and no issue at all asking for the sub. Saw chocolate martinis go by to another table and that is definitely on my list for next time. I've been to Jack's a few times with some friends. As always, the food is lovely and the customer service is great. It was busy when we came around this time, which is good to see. When I got there, my friends were already seated and were just about to order some appetizers, so it was great timing. We ended up trying the garlic fries and housemade chips. Both were wonderful. I got the sole with veggies and mashed potatoes - it was great, but did need a little more seasoning. It was enough for dinner and lunch the next day! My friends got various dishes. We also tried a couple of desserts - the berry cheesecake and tuxedo cake with a scoop of ice cream. Delicious. Jack's is a great place to catch up with some friends, family or go on a date. Everything is lively, but you can still talk to your group without yelling. While the food was great - the drinks could be improved upon. Two of our drinks (we got the same thing) tasted mostly like carbonated water (which I don't like, but my friend does) while another drink had a salt rim instead of the sugar rim advertised. I have had breakfast and lunch here previously, and it was so good. I decided to hold my dad's family birthday dinner here. I was so disappointed in the way our steaks cane out. My son and I ordered ours "medium" and they cane out with one end cooked rare and the other skinnier end waaaaay beyond well done. The server did offer to have our steaks recooked, but everyone else was finishing up their fish(which I heard was great), so we declined. There other large parties in the restaurant tonight so it was VERY loud and difficult to hold a conversation, but that was ok. I have to say our server was amazing! To anyone else it might look like I'm promoting for this place, but I promise I'm not. This morning I went on a hike with my sister in law and niece and we decided to treat ourself with breakfast. Today I've finally tried their breakfast and I was very happy with that decision. I had county fried steak and eggs with hash browns and their side French toast. My sister in law had some egg and hamburger dish with hash browns and instead of toast she had Swedish pancakes. My niece had their waffles with whipped cream. I was very torn between the French toast and country fried steak so when the server told us that we can sub our toast for the French toast and Swedish pancakes we were very pleased. My listen in law said the hamburger was very flavorful and done just right. My country fried steak was wonderful and savory and omg the banana French toast was to die for. My niece was happy with her waffle and juice as well. I still have yet to be disappointed by this place. It's big and well decorated, they have a beautiful outdoor seating area that is pet friendly. It's also cool that they sell their own coffee. If you're looking for a good lunch or breakfast spot to go to and you're near westgate mall, I'd say this place is a definite go to. read more

Did not have a great experience here. We ordered a medium well steak, and it was all red and bloody, definitely on the rarer side. My least favorite part was the service. Our server did not care at all. She was very uninterested, barely checked in on us. She was a reason why we felt discouraged to send out food back. The worst part was that we couldn't tip accordingly. They only gave us the option of 18, 20, and 22%. I guess you could also leave no tip, but to me, that's messed up. The experience was not good enough to be that expensive too. The environment is really nice though. Overall Experience: 6.4/10 The restaurant is in the back separated from the Westgate mall. The restaurant has a modern interior and has many TV's for what ever sport or event is happening. The tables are spaced out very nicely and is very comfy to be seated. The service was amazing, as they constantly check in and makes sure you're doing alright. The Food: I have been here a couple of times, and have taken out once but the food has always been somewhat of a let down each of the times. I've had the lamb burger, but the burger itself was cooked a too much compared to what was ordered, and it was missing a lot of seasoning. It lacked the salt, and was not super juicy. The toppings on the burger complements it nicely but wasn't anything special. The lamb burger just tasted too gamey. With it, I got a side of potato salad which I thought had great flavor and good texture. I have also taken out their breakfast burrito, but the burrito was not flavorful again. The burrito was also a lot smaller than expected, and the eggs did not have the necessary salt or seasonings, as well as the potatoes. I have also came here for breakfast and tried their omelet, which was decent, but nothing special. It had the fixings and decent in size, so I would recommend those breakfast items the most. Overall: I really like the space and where it is located, but the food has been a miss most the times I have been there which is disappointing. But if you're looking for somewhere that is comfy to sit and watch the games I would tell you this is an option to go to. read more

After seeing this in the neighborhood for so long, we finally had the chance to try and we're so glad we did. The French dip is amazing. It's such a rare menu item for most restaurants nowadays that we were so glad it was delicious. The shrimp scampi pasta was okay, and it was probably more of a personal preference than the restaurant's fault (I'm a little sensitive to oily food and this dish seemed to have a bit more than I'm used to with shrimp scampi pasta). This definitely doesn't change that we want to come back for the French Dip and to try some other things on the menu. We were also wanting to try some of the happy hour appetizers with some more people in our party. Service was decent! All staff members were quite attentive, and even a manager had willingly checked in with us which we appreciated. We came here on a Saturday afternoon and were seated quickly. My wife had ordered a steak that came out rare instead of medium. While most places stick to the classic combo of blue cheese dressing and bacon crumbles, Jack's takes it up a notch with a drizzle of balsamic that brings the whole dish to life--absolute perfection. I originally wanted to come here for their beers. I ended up ordering a lot more. Firstly, we ordered a round of cocktails. The Mango Fuego was okay. It was tasty but overall very sweet. The Fresa Picante was pretty good. The other cocktail we tried was the Cucumber Cocktail, that was delicious and our favorite. Their cocktails although tasty aren't very strong and are made very lightly. Cocktails aside. Their Clam spaghetti was VERY tasty and delicious. We replaced it with Alfredo sauce and it came out very creamy and overall, delicious. Shoutout to the cook, they did a wonderful job with it. Their clam chowder was also delicious and a great appetizer. The service was great. Our waiter, Esteban was very efficient, kind and welcoming.
