I've been wanting an apple fritter for several days now and decided to get one at Manley Donuts this morning. Then I decided I couldn't buy just one donut, so I also got a chocolate bar and a maple bar to go with it. The donuts were huge, especially the apple fritter. It was larger than my hand. They came in a cute donut box. The chocolate bar tasted good and I quickly polished off the whole thing. Then I tasted the apple fritter. It was hard and heavy and not at all what I expected. The bacon, egg, and ham croissant was solid. The croissant was soft and flaky, and the combination of meats brought everything together. Also tried the egg, jalapeño, and ham bagel, which was okay. The highlight for me was the glazed donut. It was soft, light, and flaky with the right amount of sweetness. Love the viet iced coffee here! It's frothy and not super sweet. Breakfast sandwiches and donuts are also really tasty and fresh.

I love coming here in the mornings, especially when I would head to work. I would stop and get the Vietnamese coffee. The donuts are good as well, but I do wish they had more of a variety like some chocolate doughnut with peanuts on top. I only see one version of doughnut with peanuts. Maybe it's for like food allergy purposes not sure. But other than that, this place is great. read more

Amazing donut spot! Seriously under rated for the quality! Tried the ube cake and chocolate chocolate and loved both. Weren't crazy sweet (which is my #1 issue with donuts). I was working in the area and saw this place conveniently nearby. I stopped by to see what would speak to me and that I'd like to eat that morning. The ham and cheese croissant w jalapeño really hit the spot. I know donuts and croissants are kinda generic so you don't really expect things to be different from other places. I've actually had some below average ham and cheese croissants so this place was a pleasant surprise with the above average performance lol.. You'll find plenty of parking here being that they share a parking lot with a bunch of businesses including Safeway. I'd say the main reason why I felt inclined to write this review aside from the quality and top customer service. Came here one morning with my bf to grab some brunch before starting our day. I opted for a ham and cheese croissant and bottled tea while he had a break bagel and iced coffee. I enjoyed my croissant - decent sized with good amount of filling and well made. I wish it had a bit more mayo, tho, as it was on the dry side. I had half and kept the other to finish later. My bf enjoyed his bagel, but also wanted more mayo. The iced coffee was good. Staff was very nice and efficient when getting out order ready. The shop was small and cozy - enough space for people to eat their donuts/sandwiches, but doesn't encourage hanging out for hours. It was clean and well kept. read more

Dang I love donuts! As a self certified donut connoisseur I can say with all conviction these donuts are delicious! I got 2, a chocolate old fashioned and a pink glazed cruller. The old fashioned was perfect, with the added taste of nutmeg which I definitely liked. The cruller was a true light and airy cruller which is hard to find anymore and the pink glaze had a lovely strawberry flavor to it. I took my donuts home to enjoy with a glass of creamy whole milk. It cost me $15 for 6 donuts for me and the fam bam but this is to be expected in today's inflated economy. Nice customer service, but the donuts were terrible. Maybe I have been spoiled by WORLD FAIR IN HAYWARD. But these donuts were terrible. I had the Apple fritter, glazed buttermilk, bearclaw with apple in it and a chocolate old fashion. I would say that it's missing taste. I could taste the sugar, but not the sweetness. When I asked if they could remake it or if I could get a refund the lady said no refunds and gave me a stare and said if I remake it it's gonna taste the same. I've been coming to this shop for over 20yrs, mostly under previous ownership when I lived around the corner in WG. Now I live in the RoseGarden neighborhood but stopped this morning to pick up donuts on my way to the office. It's my third time back under new ownership and first time picking up donuts for the office, so let's just say I was shocked at the price tag. horrible customer service here, came in to buy s donut with my dogs in a stroller and they REFUSED service. My dogs were both locked into a pet stroller and right when i came in happy to come get a donut w my little ones and right when i come in they tell me to get out... ridiculous. Well sad to say, whoever the old lady is that runs the place when husband is not around is rude for one. She tried charging my fiance more then she should have for a basic glaze donut, a prize for a twist glaze. Then after she had the nerve to tell him good luck finding somewhere that will sell him a donut at a better price. This is my favorite donut spot. The donuts are better than other places, super soft and the jelly/custard/cream are all stuffed to capacity. My fav is the glazed raspberry filled, so good and a great ratio of jelly to donut. Not only are the donuts great, but the owners are very friendly and will remember you if you go semi regularly. I've been to 8-9 different donut spots in San Jose, and this is my go-to every time. They are so soft and chewy, and the toppings are high quality.
