Definitely 5 stars. From the fast moving line (especially in the morning), to the helpful man who served me my 3 dozen donuts, to the EXTRA big donuts he threw in for free...I was so grateful! I will definitely be back again, if only to be greeted with a friendly smile by the donut server. Really though, bright and early in the morning, and a happy experience at the donut shop? That's worth 6 stars. Their donuts are yummy, very filling, and they have multiple coffee pots available with varied flavors and decaf options too. Don't be deceived if the place looks closed - it's most likely open...it's just a little dim around the area. Hope you grab a chocolate twist donut for me. Enjoy! read more

Oops! I ate all of the donuts. They were sooooo delicious, I just didn't give myself enough time for a photo op! (Too busy scarfing!) Had a big craving for donuts. I rarely indulge but I just HAD to have one, or two...ok, three!! Ordered a big cinnamon roll, glazed old fashioned and French cruller, and each was sugary deliciousness! The cruller was super thin and hollow, so if you want a heartier donut, go for the cinnamon roll, a fluffy swirl of cinnamon sweetness. Or, try an old fashion - perfectly firm on the outside and soft inside! The lady was so nice; she threw in a huge apple filled donut that must have weighed a pound!! How nice was that?!! Okay, so I ended giving that one to a friend! (mucho donuts!) I definitely will return to Manley's for the cinnamon roll alone- yummmmm!! Each donut cost $1.50 and was worth every penny!! Love the goodies here. The owner is such a sweet man who remembers all his regulars. Donuts are ALWAYS fresh, Parking isn't an issue ever. Personally I love the decaf here and the crullers are delicious but who am I kidding ITS ALL GOOD. read more

Oh, I tried this place. Right on the same strip as my Barber's and Bibo's and the Beezies (and Brodies) that do yoga at the other end. Nothing out of the ordinary. I usually get a bag of four and a strawberry Nesquik. The lady gave me an extra cinammon crumb. They're big and tasty. Just like your thighs if you're not careful and start taking home treats in a pink box instead of a small bag. read more

This place has just the right amount of do it selection and the donuts are delicious, but the most awesome thing about this place was the customer service! I went in with my bf and right when we walked in we got greeted by a nice smiling lady. When we were taking some time to figure out what donuts we wanted she did not rush us at all and was smiling the whole time. She was really sweet and offered some suggestions. I really love this place and so does my son. We try and go every weekday and when we do go, i get my boy 5 donut holes. The guy that works behind the counter is nice and friendly and the selection of donuts is good. Great place for donuts! read more

Airy, crispy, fluffy, soft, delicious, flavorful, and classic. These donuts brought me back to my childhood. We ordered a dozen donuts, and of course, there was a baker's dozen. It's a donut shop nothing crazy. Came for a big order halloweeen weekend...no specialty ones like orange frosting but no t big deal. Folks were nice but a little pushy...I was about to buy the remaining regular donuts when a kid walked in with his mom. I said they could order first because as a kid picking the right donut is key and I didn't want to ruin that or have the mom go to another shops. The lady said no get what you want but I had confirmed they weren't making anymore. I'm glad I pushed back as the little guy picked one that wasn't gonna be there if I had gone first. They were really mice in giving me a few extra donuts one the size of my face. read more

CA$H ONLY!!!!!! There is an ATM inside but just bring cash to avoid the transaction fee/headache lol. Anyway, this place is the perfect little donut shop for those who aren't into the whole "crazy donut" fad that currently has taken over. If you want your classic assortment of yummy, sugary delights, come here! We love grabbing our pink box of treats every once in a while. read more

To understand my five-star rating, you need an idea of my grading rubric for donuts. 1 star: nasty, tasteless, stale and/or sweaty (think 7-11 at the end of the day) 2 stars: mildly nasty, tasteless, stale, and/or sweaty (7-11 at the beginning of the day) 3 stars: decent donuts, probably from a big chain that stays open for 24 hours 4 stars: mom and pop shop with solid donuts 5 stars: mom and pop shop with 50's decor, owners that know you and give you lots of free donut holes, fresh donuts that are neither too sweet nor too greasy... but still nice and soft I've tried all of the other Manley's shops in the area, and this one is by far the best! DELICIOUS!!!! Don't have donuts often but I'm moving and not locally. Need the sugar to survive. Ordered through DoorDash. First dasher delivered to wrong house and said I'd entered my address differently. Manley remade the replacement order quickly and the second delivery was fast and perfect. read more

Very Friendly and Patient workers. There are tons of donuts to choose from and even a few bagels that all look so appealing to the eye. Although this establishment is a little more pricey than the usual donut shop the taste is much better than the other shops around San Jose. All the donuts I tried tasted extremely fresh and delicious. They were even nice enough to throw two donuts in free with my purchase. I recommend this shop to anyone trying to crave that sweet tooth fix. read more

I didn't have a chance to try any donuts because as soon as I put one for through the door, the woman at the counter barked at me "NO DOG ALLOWED!". I was with my service dog which had his clearly marked "service dog" vest on. I understand the no pets policy but, 1. Service dogs aren't pets and 2. A polite, excuse me, or sorry, no pets allowed would have been a decent way to let me know you didn't notice the service animal and allow me to explain. She didn't apologize after I told her he was a service dog, as a matter of fact, she said nothing at all! She just kept glaring at me with a sour face so I turned around and walked out. There are right ways to approach a customer who you believe it's violating a rule in your establishment and I wasn't causing any kind of disruption! There was only one other customer sitting there and he even looked at her like she was being rude. Never, ever going back. read more

Great mom and pop shop. Cash only, prepare yourself. I've gone for the sausage croissants myself. They always hit the spot. Their bagels are huge. Fair prices too. I work in the plaza with the owners' son. His mom is so sweet, she always gives a couple donut holes extra with my order. You can taste the quality of the dough, it's light and airy. They're also genuinely friendly neighborhood folks. A lot of times when I sit in for lunch and see people coming and going, they're always striking up a conversation and serving up smiles. This shop is a staple in Willow Glen. read more

I come to this shopping center to get a haircut and always make a point to stop by this donut shop. Today at 9am I stopped by for cup of coffee and a donut. I asked about the donut holes and lady behind counter told me they were all sold out. I sat and drank my coffee with plain donut and saw what appeared to be a regular customer start walking in as lady behind counter immediately started packaging her order. Must be a routine order. I distinctly saw this customer got a small bag of some donut holes that were hiding in back row of display. As trivial as this is and as reasonable it may seem for the shop owner, the way this was handled does not sit well with me. I am done making special point to visit. read more

Yelp suggests that two stars = "Meh. I've experienced better." That's exactly how I feel about this place. The woman behind the counter was friendly, but having a conversation on her Bluetooth headset while helping us. Not cool. Plus, it's a cash-only establishment. The doughnuts are nothing special. Had I a choice between Manley Donuts and Dunkin' Donuts, I would have opted for Dunkin'. There are much better doughnut places in San Jose. Go there. read more

I've been here twice so far and will keep coming back. Every time I come I have to try something new to figure out what is my favorite. So for from what I tried the original glazed is obviously good. So much better than Krispy Kreme. It's fluffy and flavorful and not too sweet. My favorite donut is the maple. I also enjoyed the chocolate and the cinnamon roll. Next time I'll try the bear claw and an apple one as well. I will be back for more delicious donuts soon... read more

I don't eat donuts often, but when I do, I like them cakey and spongy. I'm disappointed to say this Manley is not it. I bought a dozen mixed and this includes the fancy stuff like apple turn overs and bear claws for $12.50. Price is comparable to other donut shops. To my disappointment, the donuts are just average, but the apple turn over is very flat and dense. It's not light and airy like other places I've been. Staff is very friendly, just one man behind the counter. The shop is clean. I think I prefer the other Manley's on Lincoln since they have the same donuts and they offer filled donut holes. read more

For one dozen mochi donuts, it'll set you back roughly $39 (including taxes). I ended up getting 10 mochi donuts (flavored with cookies & cream, ube, fruity pebbles, strawberry, and churro). The donuts only took 10 minutes to cook fresh to order. Cookies & cream and fruity pebbles were easily my fave of the bunch. The donuts are soft, chewy, and I would say slightly more dense than other places (but not in a bad way). I look forward to coming back here again for my mochi donut needs!

I was delighted from the first bite. The prefilled donut holes are different from the regular ones. They are glazed and more similar to a cream puff which makes them super tasty. I love the irregular shapes of each of them and how big they were. The cream puff texture is what makes this custard filled donut holes not feel heavy when you eat them. Very yummy and addicting. The service was okay. I was greeted by both ladies at the counter and the worker who had assisted me seemed very attentive. I got a dozen cream filled donut holes which were 8.99. I would say thats pretty expensive but for about .75 cents per donut hole, i'd say it's worth it. The ambiance was okay but for a donut shop I wouldn't really say that matters. The inside is a bit outdated but most people come and go anyways. The display looked clean too. I went to the location on Berryessa.

The lady answering the call was very nice and agreed to hold it for her. We drove there immediately and arrived right before they closed at 5pm. We're not surprised that they had barely anything left on the shelves when we got there. Fortunately, they still had some colorful meringue, which my daughter couldn't resist. Need to go there earlier next time. I really miss their katsu sandwich/spaghetti lunch set, rice balls and musubi's. They also have a good selection of both savory and sweet pastries at very reasonable prices. Their cake and cookies are also cute and not too sweet. My daughter loves their Italian sodas as well.
