I got the coffee flight with the La Cabra espresso shot and the pistachio pastry. Service was good. Plenty of seating inside and out. Coffee was pretty strong , a bit too bitter for my taste personally. Suitable for the real hardcore coffee lovers. My favorite was the pistachio pastry I believe it had some soft raspberry filling with chunks of pistachios. So so good! I will be coming back but next time I'll try the matcha.
I really enjoy stopping by whenever I have the chance! Really tasty drinks. I like trying their seasonal lattes and whenever I get an americano, the espresso is well-extracted. I've recommended this place to my coffee-lover friends and they always tell me they really like the coffee here.
No wifi and a smaller shop, but nice drinks and regular prices. The locations outside isn't great, but its cute, spacious, and clean inside. I'd come back for some coffee. Just fyi, the matcha at 100% sweetness seems like 75% sweetness of other shops.
Come here for good coffee, friendly service, and clean seating area. Found this place on Yelp while searching for coffee shops I haven't yet tried. I came on a late Saturday morning. The pastries were almost sold out, but they had one more Everything Croissant, so I ordered it. That was pretty good. For coffee, I had the Cubano and the Salted Maple Bourbon latte. They were both good, but I thought they were both very heavy on the milk. It was hard to taste the coffee. I'll probably come back and try just plain coffee. It's a really pleasant place to hang out at, so I don't mind giving them another try.
What a lovely lil cafe! This coffee shop is located right across from SJSU on E San Carlos Street. Parking is generally available on the street, and there are some spots in a private lot behind the shop as well. I came on a weekday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. The cafe has light wood tones throughout, with plenty of tables throughout. The baristas were friendly and helpful in explaining the menu and various selections! I ordered the cubano and the berry pistachio croissant, both of which came out quickly. I thought the cubano was delicious and well-balanced, and the croissant was warm, toasted, and buttery, pairing perfectly with the jam filling. I overall loved my order. I was pleasantly surprised by my trip here, and I'll definitely come back to sample the other pastries and coffee options.
I spotted this place near the San Jose University, the table outside with the chess bought my attention. So I decided to check it out and I have to admit the coffee is delicious! There are classic and signature options, coffee flights and ... very interesting croissants (I tried pistachio version, delicious!). The staff is just amazing. Also, There is a typewriter in the restroom! That's like a hidden gem itself from the museum:) Parking is available along the street and behind the building.
Omg, I loved coming to this cafe. First of all, the coffee is amazing. I had never experienced a coffee flight the way they have one and am excited to go back one day.
Came here with my friends as part of the San Jose coffee passport stops. It's a cute cafe right next to San Jose state. We had a selection of coffee and pastries. Everything tasted great and the baristas were super sweet to us. Definitely worth a stop by!
AM Craft is a cute little spot. They have some unique latte flavors, which I always appreciate. The staff were really nice, too. The only downsides are that the parking lot at the little shopping area has very few spots (and a very steep ramp that'll cause your car to bottom out), and the shopping area is kind of rundown. Their shop is pretty nice, given the surroundings, though. Definitely give one of their fancy latte flavors a try. They are pretty good.
Good spot for folx who like creamy lattes. I've had a few of their drinks over the years and my top recommendation is the Toasted Marshmallow for a latte. I appreciate that their drinks are not overly sweet; they are just a little too creamy for my taste. Service: Staff is friendly, and service is quick. Ambiance: The café is on the smaller side but has a bar area, indoor seating, and some outdoor seating. There is plenty of natural light inside and is minimally decorated with warm tones.
Discovered this cute little cafe in downtown SJ during a gap and it was a pleasant experience! The interior gives off a minimal/clean aesthetic while actually being tidy and wiped down. There is minimal seating inside and outside. A menu is posted outside, but you'll find another copy inside along with free water. For those dining in, there is a small cart to leave your used glasses and plates/trays. There was a large group ahead of me, but the actual time it took for my drink to be made was fairly short :D DRINK: *Matcha latte (hot) -- I am most definitely coming back to order this because the quality and price are by far the best I've ever had! With the matcha craze these days, I appreciate a cozy shop like this that won't make you break your break for a sweet treat or energy boost. You can choose between whole milk and oat milk (I went w/ whole). Despite not being asked about sweetness adjustments, it was perfectly "not too sweet" while maintaining a satisfyingly potent matcha flavor. I'm not exactly sure how to describe it, but it tastes more like matcha offered in European cafe's rather than Japanese matcha dessert places. Either way, it was delicious and my cousin kept wanting to take some sips of this latte after we left XD The latte art and creamy foam on the surface was such a lovely surprise too! Comparable to La Lune Sucree's which is also in downtown SJ, but this is now my new local favorite. PARKING: Customers can find residential parking and walk or meter parking. My drink was made pretty quickly, so this is a great spot for grab and go!
I got an espresso and a cortado. The espresso didn't look as dark as I was expecting and didn't have crema but it wasn't bitter or burnt. The cortado was well balanced. Based on the other photos I might give it another try if I'm in the area.

I got the iced vanilla latte! The shot was pulled perfectly, nice syrup, espresso and milk ratio. Only $6; lowest price for coffee in downtown SJ. It's a small shop by subway and it's right around the corner for Boccardo business building for sjsu students. It's a 5 minute walk and you can even go during class it's that close. read more

AM Craft As a girly pop who doesn't really drink coffee, this one made me jittery! This shop is across the street from San Jose State! So convenient to grab this coffee before class or in my case before work! The service was excellent, workers are so fast and so kind. This place is always so clean and has beautiful pictures on the wall! Drink recommendations: Iced coffee milk tea I've been exploring coffee shops all throughout the Bay Area and this one is on the top list read more

I've been coming here for months and let me just say, they are the real deal! Honestly one of the best coffees in the Bay Area that not only focus on quality but bringing out the flavor notes in each coffee / espresso. Super friendly staff and they always go beyond to help or answer questions. This place is a gem! read more
What an awesome experience! All around! The vibes are super chill here! Who would've known drinking a cup of coffee with a delicious pastry would be this exciting! The owners were super friendly! It looks like there's some regular customers when I was there! That's really cool that they take time to know there customers! I ordered the toasted marshmallow latte. I got it hot. This was so good! And the ube croissant is a must! I can't wait to go back. I just moved to the neighborhood so I'll definitely be back to visit to try more from there menu! read more

Today I attended my first coffee tasting. It was their 19th tasting event; thank you for this fun community gathering. We had 4 pours from 2 roasters - Flower Child in Oakland, USA and La Cabra in Copenhagen, Denmark. My favorite was La Cabra's Mustafa. I learned a lot from the combined knowledge of our group of 13, especially from our host Ashley and Michael. * locations of coffee plants around the world * importance of roasting types * advantages of single origins vs blends * brewing methods * tasting notes such as, floral, fruity, sour, nuts, bitters, and more read more

This café is conveniently close to SJSU, but parking can be quite challenging! It features a minimalistic white and wood theme, creating a charming aesthetic. The atmosphere was vibrant, with many patrons enjoying the outdoor seating with their dogs, though the indoor space is quite small. I mainly wanted a pastry snack and remembered really liking the Everything Croissant here. Service was quite slow as the cashier was running around delivering pastries. I decided to try the Chocolate Hazelnut Croissant and it was unfortunately a miss for me. It wasn't heated up, so it tasted stale, and the interior was dense rather than airy and flaky like a classic croissant. I would say it tasted more like a chocolate bread. The flavoring itself wasn't any good either and the macadamias nuts is again, very stale & old. I didn't order coffee because I had tried the Toasted Marshmallow flavor before and found it disappointingly diluted. read more

A cute coffee shop right off the campus of SJ State. Street parking is almost impossible on a busy day, but they do share a small parking lot behind the laundromat. The shop has three tables set up inside + a bar area with 4 seats. Right outside the store, there are additional seats which I'm sure would feel fantastic on a warm day. In the early morning, there were waves of people who come and go. There seems to be enough seating, but if you're looking for ones with outlets, there are only two in the store. Their coffee menu looks interesting. I generally am a black coffee drinker, but found a lot of their customers ordering the lavender latte. Will have to make a trip back to give it a try. Their baked goods selection has a variety of both sweet and savory. It can be warmed up (recommend for certain pastries). read more

This coffee shop is right across SJSU campus. There is metered parking right by the shop and in the surrounding neighborhood. The shop itself is very small but they have outdoor seating. I went on a nice sunny day and sitting outside felt so relaxing. Baristas were pleasant and patient. I tried the Toasted Marshmallow latte. It was not what I'd thought it'd taste like but nonetheless but it was enjoyable. I looked on their website and found out that some of their pastries are delivered from Neighbor House in SF. I tried the ham and cheese croissant and it was savory & had the perfect amount of flakiness! I'll have to come back and try the rest of the items. Such a cute shop and its location is convenient if you're a student! read more

We've been living here for 2 years and just now stumbling across AM Craft? Why did it take us so long to enjoy these beautifully handcrafted coffee drinks and delicious croissants? Looks like we've found our new favorite latte shop in the neighborhood! A cute little cafe spot right by campus, SJSU. Parking will most likely be street parking! The coffee selection was good. I got the toasted marshmallow over ice, which was good. Nothing too crazy! Definitely a great spot to chat or study with some friends. There is some bar seating inside with a few tables both outdoors and indoors. Not too sure about outlets for charging. I've been wanting to visit this cafe for a while, and I finally had the chance last weekend. It's conveniently situated near SJSU with ample street parking. The atmosphere inside is cozy, and they offer a diverse selection of beverages and pastries. As someone who's particular about coffee, I always go for a latte when trying out a new cafe, and theirs was delicious--I even purchased a bag of their coffee beans. We also tried the ham & cheese and pistachio berry croissants, which were equally delightful! I would come back again! read more
