Come here for good coffee, friendly service, and clean seating area. Found this place on Yelp while searching for coffee shops I haven't yet tried. I came on a late Saturday morning. The pastries were almost sold out, but they had one more Everything Croissant, so I ordered it. That was pretty good. For coffee, I had the Cubano and the Salted Maple Bourbon latte. They were both good, but I thought they were both very heavy on the milk. It was hard to taste the coffee. I'll probably come back and try just plain coffee. What a lovely lil cafe! This coffee shop is located right across from SJSU on E San Carlos Street. Parking is generally available on the street, and there are some spots in a private lot behind the shop as well. I came on a weekday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. The cafe has light wood tones throughout, with plenty of tables throughout. The baristas were friendly and helpful in explaining the menu and various selections! I ordered the cubano and the berry pistachio croissant, both of which came out quickly. I thought the cubano was delicious and well-balanced, and the croissant was warm, toasted, and buttery, pairing perfectly with the jam filling. I overall loved my order. Discovered this cute little cafe in downtown SJ during a gap and it was a pleasant experience! The interior gives off a minimal/clean aesthetic while actually being tidy and wiped down. For those dining in, there is a small cart to leave your used glasses and plates/trays. There was a large group ahead of me, but the actual time it took for my drink to be made was fairly short :D DRINK: *Matcha latte (hot) -- I am most definitely coming back to order this because the quality and price are by far the best I've ever had! With the matcha craze these days, I appreciate a cozy shop like this that won't make you break your break for a sweet treat or energy boost. You can choose between whole milk and oat milk (I went w/ whole). Despite not being asked about sweetness adjustments, it was perfectly "not too sweet" while maintaining a satisfyingly potent matcha flavor. I'm not exactly sure how to describe it, but it tastes more like matcha offered in European cafe's rather than Japanese matcha dessert places. Either way, it was delicious and my cousin kept wanting to take some sips of this latte after we left XD The latte art and creamy foam on the surface was such a lovely surprise too! Quaint coffee shop located steps away from SJSU. With 4 bar seats + 3 small tables inside, a handful of tables outside and NO WiFi, it most likely is a cafe you'll pick up coffee from rather than lounge with friends or study at. There's 30 min street parking right in front of the shop and free private parking lot behind the laundromat. This café is conveniently close to SJSU, but parking can be quite challenging! It features a minimalistic white and wood theme, creating a charming aesthetic. The atmosphere was vibrant, with many patrons enjoying the outdoor seating with their dogs, though the indoor space is quite small. I mainly wanted a pastry snack and remembered really liking the Everything Croissant here. Service was quite slow as the cashier was running around delivering pastries. I decided to try the Chocolate Hazelnut Croissant and it was unfortunately a miss for me. It wasn't heated up, so it tasted stale, and the interior was dense rather than airy and flaky like a classic croissant. I would say it tasted more like a chocolate bread. The flavoring itself wasn't any good either and the macadamias nuts is again, very stale & old. Disappointing First Visit - Lukewarm Coffee & Inflexible Service I was really looking forward to trying out AM Craft for the first time, as I'm always on the hunt for a great local coffee spot. Unfortunately, my experience was pretty disappointing, and I won't be rushing back. I ordered a medium dark roast--my go-to--and what I received was a lukewarm cup of coffee that tasted incredibly young and undeveloped. It was so light and sour that the best way I can describe it is the flavor of an immature Pea berry--it tasted like the bean was pulled way too early. For a coffee shop, this is a pretty fundamental failure. I politely asked for a couple of shakes of cinnamon. The lady behind the counter flat-out refused, stating it was "against their rules" for her to add it and that it wasn't available for customers to add themselves. I had already left a generous tip (40%) to the empty tip jar, but this rigid and unhelpful service over something as simple as a pinch of cinnamon left a sour taste in my mouth, to accompany the taste of the coffee. Lukewarm, poor-quality coffee paired with inflexible, unaccommodating service made for a very poor first impression. I left feeling disappointed and out of pocket. I hope they re-evaluate their coffee quality and customer service policies. read more

This is the nicest quaint coffee shop near the SJSU campus ! So, I actually had been going to this other coffee shop in Campbell a lot before that I enjoyed going to before work when I worked in Santa Clara. I then started working downtown, and then heard that one of the baristas there was opening a coffee shop close to the SJSU campus - so I was so excited ! I will sometimes come here before work to read and have some milk tea or latte before work, or I will come during my lunch break. They have nice lattes but my favorite is their milk tea ! I really like getting their green milk tea. They also have some tasty pastries like this one pastrythat is savory with a chive/cream cheese filling, and another pastry with curry potatoes in it. It's a small space so I wish it had more indoor seating, but that does contribute to the cozy vibe of it. Definitely recommend ! read more

Adorable little coffee shop! I found their parking lot, it's just past the San Carlos light/intersection, behind the laundry mat. I love this idea of a coffee flight, because u favor black coffee and always want to try multiple sips before I get a whole cup of coffee and this idea fits the bill for me! Each of their 3 coffees were delicious, sweet, acidic, floral, berry and smooth! I loved the middle coffee, but I forgot what the barista told me it was. Hee. The barista that handed me the flight seemed to know his way around the espresso bar. Incredibly friendly, personable, outgoing and seemed at if he wanted to get to know each customer that came inside their store. He spent maybe 2-3 mins talking to each person. So beautiful to see a college aged barista taking the time to get to know each customer! I don't see that much in the high schoolers or college aged students anymore.
