I've been wanting to try Caffeine Depot and caught them at a pop up at the Kindred Studios in the mission. Surprisingly the space was pretty empty and we got a signature banana tiramisu latte and the custard cloud latte to try Loved both drinks, especially the banana tiramisu which was rich and creamy with the banana cream top without feeling too sweet or heavy. The viet coffee they use is pretty strong and does well to cut through the creaminess of the milk and cream top. The custard cloud was on the sweeter side but I really enjoyed the eggy top which had a lot of flavor as well. Such a great coffee pop up and I'll have to try the matcha next time! This is a home-based matcha (and Viet coffee) "shop", and they also do a lot of pop up events in the community. I message them on Instagram to submit my order and they respond quickly to coordinate payment and time for pickup. I absolutely LOVE their blueberry matcha latte. The matcha they use is high quality ceremonial grade with a great flavor. Their blueberry syrup is homemade. I also like that they include seasonal flavor options, such as their guava matcha they had last Summer which was out of this world amazing. Came here on a Sunday as they were at a Vintage Popup event! Line was pretty long as they're super popular :) Walked around and our drinks were made in about 15-20 minutes. The Matcha Einspanner was my personal favorite 8.5/10and the cream is so delicious! One of the best einspanner creams I've had. The Strawberry was a little artificial tasting and overpowered the whole drink 7/10. Only bad thing was you need to drink it all pretty quick after you get it. After the ice melted it tasted odd and just watered down. I still would get the matcha einspanner again! read more

Worth the hype! I got the double matcha and I devoured it in minutes (which is impressive because I tend to take my time with my drinks). The quality is great, one of the better matchas I've had in the South Bay. My friend also got the guava matcha, and the guava flavor was not artificial at all, it had a great balance of guava and matcha with perfect sweetness. Her drink unfortunately wasn't topped off compared to mine though. Their cream tops are very thick, which I enjoy. Can't wait to try their other drinks soon! read more

I ordered a pistachio matcha during the pop-up. The presentation was nice and the taste wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out compared to other matcha spots I've tried. The cup was mostly filled with ice, and the drink was gone after just a few sips. For $8, it didn't feel worth the price. read more

locally owned, home based/pop up coffee! not sure if it's family operated. staff are busy working together and mixing up quality drinks ~ offering a variety of matcha and coffee beverages on their menu. seasonal flavors are also available but i don't think i noticed any on the menu today. we stopped by around 12 PM and made it just 50 mins before closing, luckily there wasn't a long line (roughly 5 ppl ahead). I ordered the Einspänner, which was scrumptious! i asked for 50% sweet, light ice and it's a bit sweet, but still to my liking. I enjoyed my iced coffee so i'll definitely be coming back to try their Matcha next time :) read more
