The best Banana Matcha in the Bay
    Sonia S.

Last Chapter has been my favorite cafe for almost a year now! Their drinks are creative, the taste is consistent and the staff are the kindest people. My absolute favorite drink is the Banana Matcha, it's just perfection! You can taste the premium matcha, it's creamy and the flavor of banana is not overpowering and pairs nicely with the matcha. Also, most cafes charge for a dairy free replacement, they do not. I follow their Instagram to see where they will be next and I'm hoping they open a permanent location soon.

Lucky Charms Matcha and Pandan Hojicha

Last Chapter Cafe has delicious matchas and hojichas! I was really excited to try their matcha since they use Nami Matcha, which is the same matcha powder I use at home. Next time I go, I'll have to try their coffees because those also look incredibly good. I highly recommend going to one of their pop-ups and trying their drinks! I personally really liked their Lucky Charms matcha latte but my sister's Pandan Hojicha was also very good!

Favorite matcha popup to date! I've ordered tray fulls weeks in a row! Favorite is the classic double matcha. Not too sweet, great matcha flavor, not too creamy or watery. Perfection. Yvonne the owner is super nice as well. Happy to be supporting local small businesses!

    Nami Matcha

I got the Banana Matcha & Gingerbread Matcha at their Cupertino holiday pop-up, which I was happy to catch on a Thursday morning! Reasonable pricing. Baristas and owner were friendly and quick! Was super excited to try Nami Matcha, which is popularized on social media and seen all over my Instagram feed. The matcha is super earthy and had a strong bitterness that I enjoyed. It balanced pretty well with the milk. Of the two drinks I got, my favorite was the Banana Matcha! So yum! The matcha was fragrant and earthy, but the banana could definitely have a stronger flavor. I appreciate that the drinks aren't too sweet! It's about 25% sweetness naturally compared to other cafes. So if you're expecting a super sugary drink, this is NOT FOR YOU.

    Shamrock Latte with almond milk

There was a pop up event at Rocksalt, so i decided to treat myself to a latte after my workout class. They had a good variety of options to choose from between espresso, lattes and Matcha lattes. I went with the Shamrock Latte because it seems so creative, and I haven't seen any latte like that before. The service was very quick, and I got my drink super fast. It was so cute to look at! I also loved the color of the latte! I think that shade of brown is perfect for my coffees. The cold foam on top was peppermint flavored and it was so delicious! I was very happy with my order, and I look forward to trying their coffee again in the future!

    Iced banana mocha

I went to my Pilates class only to find a charming pop up right outside! It had gathered a line, so I decided to order after class. It was the perfect post workout treat! I ordered the banana mocha with regular milk, iced. It was the perfect blend of banana flavor, cream, and coffee. I am usually unimpressed with many coffee spots, but Last Chapter was a hit!! I recommend giving them a try if you get the chance! The girls were all very nice and professional as well.

    Cookie butter latte
    Steffi G.

Last Chapter Cafe is my favorite home-based/pop up coffees. Her cookie butter latte is my absolute favorite!! I've been wanting to venture off and try her other creative drinks, but I feel like I'm cheating on the cookie butter haha. You can customize your sweetness and ice levels and type of milk. I'm going to try out her matcha drinks and hojichas next time, I promise! Highly recommend. I first tried her drinks when she was operating out of a restaurant but glad her home is nearby and not in the Tully traffic lol.

    Salted maple matcha
    Christina L.

I got to try the salted matcha maple and the caramel apple crisp latte after my lagree class at Kai Lagree. They were both super yummy! They have a partnership with nami matcha and the flavor is pretty interesting compared to other matchas I've tried. Last Chapter Cafe, Nami Matcha, and Kai Lagree are all aapi and women owned (please correct me if I'm wrong) which is pretty great! Looking forward to checking them out again at my next lagree class on the 24th!

Great matcha and latte. Good services, friendly staff. Catering at an event, very popular and great idea.

Stopped by Last Chapter for their popup matcha - creamy and smooth, not bad at all. A nice little treat if you're in the mood for matcha.

Banana Matcha & Cookie Butter Latte

I've been a loyal customer of Last Chapter Cafe since the very beginning, and out of all the matcha spots I've tried in the area, they are by farrrrr my favorite. The quality, consistency, and care they put into everything truly sets them apart. My absolute favorite drinks are the banana matcha and the cookie butter latte. The banana matcha does not have that artificial banana flavor that so many other cafes use, which I really appreciate. The matcha ratios are always spot on, never grainy and never watered down. The sweetness level is always perfect for my taste. You can really tell how intentional they are with every drink they create. They are always coming out with new seasonal drinks, which makes it so fun to keep coming back and trying something new. It never gets repetitive, and you can genuinely see the thought, creativity, and effort that goes into curating their menu. On top of the amazing drinks, the owner and employees are truly some of the kindest people. Their hospitality and service are top tier. There have been multiple times where I've ordered 10+ drinks, and they have gone out of their way to help me carry everything safely to my car, which they absolutely do not have to do. That level of care really says a lot. Thank you to the entire Last Chapter team for spreading joy one cup of matcha and coffee at a time. I cannot wait to continue supporting and watching your growth.

    2/19/26 Strawberry Crumble Matcha
    Jae D.

we picked up an order last week! we ordered 1 strawberry crumble matcha and 1 banana pudding latte, both are sooo delicious! only con ATM is the online ordering system, carts are timed and overall, you have limited time to purchase! deadline date and time are above menu on the website, usually showing when you have less than 24 hrs to order, and sometimes you only have until 4-5 PM to place your order ahead. BTW--they do have pop-ups at local gyms--so don't forget to check out the IG for (more) updated info. We're definitely returning and hoping that they can open their first brick-and-mortar sometime this year!

The business recently started a small, yet meaningful community collab called "Pouring Forward." She donates half of her sales to a selected charity! I had to try this month's drink which is a Mexican mocha topped with banana cream. I'm a sucker for Mexican mochas. The abuelita flavor shined through the whole drink. I was surprised because I thought the banana would take over. The coffee was on the bitter side, but give it a shot if you like mochas and banana.

WHAT I ORDERED: My box came with 4 cupcakes and 2 cookies: 2 of the "Churro o O it's Magic" cupcakes -- this cupcake was my favorite and OUT OF THIS WORLD! The cinnamon sugar cupcake was hearty and soft, the frosting was buttery perfection and the freshly fried heart-shaped churro on top brought a nice, crunchy texture to each bite. 2 of the "Duvalín" cupcakes -- Goodness gracious. This cupcake was full of fresh, bright flavors perfect for a warm summer day. The strawberry had a refreshing, real fruit flavor and paired perfectly with the hazlenut. 2 of the Puerquito Pan Dulces cookies -- the perfect mexican cookie. Admittedly, I didn't grow up on mexican cookies... as a child I never thought they were sweet enough (SUCH A KID), but as an adult... PERFECT! They were soft, had a mild (and scrumptious) flavor of cinnamon and molasses, and had a perfect level of sweetness. Unfortunately I had no coffee prepared and ATE THEM ALL before I had a chance to make any but they would have paired with it PERFECTLY. Can't wait to order another box in the future.

I won't forget how there were tasty options around every corner in Tokyo. Ever since I went to Japan last year, I crave delicious yakitori from a charcoal grill in the Bay Area and always seek out new places to try. I finally tried Okibiyaki-Kikuchi as a yakitori pop-up at ShaKa brewing after eyeing it for a long time. The grilled meat skewers were so delicious and enjoyable to eat with a cold beer flight from ShaKa brewing. The chef is a master of yakitori. I tried hatsu, kalbi, shishito, kimo, and bara tama. I can describe a perfect night like this. A perfect night included skewers from the live ember grill by the master chef and a beer flight. The flavors are legit-- the process of preparing the meat is impressive, and the technique with the charcoal grill brings out the best flavors. The Bay Area is treated to authentic flavors like in Japan. It is recommended that should arrive to the pop-up early as they ran out of the chicken skewers. I will absolutely order the chicken skin and thigh again and again. I also tried his pop up at Clandestine Brewery as well. The quality is so consistent and delicious. Also got the Coco-Bo (coconut milk avocado smoothie-slushie) - 0% sweet, but not sure how they adjust this ~ it was still sweet, as both the coconut part & avocado part were separately sweet, but still enjoyable & refreshing. One small caveat is that the avocado part is a paste so even though it's most likely house made, to me the texture is a little processed (as opposed to chunky blended avocado).
