This place always draws me in with its convenient location and charming ambiance, but I leave feeling a little disappointed every time. I really want to love it, but the coffee just doesn't hit the mark. Even with an extra espresso shot, my lattes always taste weak, and for nearly $12 a latte (with milk alternatives and extra espresso), I expect better. Their pastries are gorgeous and tasty, but I've had better elsewhere. That said, I do love browsing their merchandise and grocery section, which has everything from cute clothing to honey, jams, tinned fish, and coffee beans. I enjoy this place. They have amazing avocado toast and you can add egg to it. The greens on the toast is packed and with fresh lemon zest. The pastries are delightful. The bread is of course always on point. I enjoy their coffee drinks a lot, especially their lavender latte. It's an easy go to place for me. read more

I have no complaints here - it was a short line with plenty of inventory when I stopped by after attending the Campbell Farmers Market around noon. We ordered a couple different pastries, all of which were fantastic. Definitely better than your typical cafe pastries - you can taste the difference in quality, and they have unique options that are hard to find at other places. Seating was hard to find inside, so we took it to go. I want to go back and try more of their items! They serve Verve Coffee here, which I am not a fan of. Finally made a long overdue visit. Didn't disappoint. Manresa Bread is originally an offshoot of a three Michelin-star Los Gatos restaurant. I tried and enjoyed their original location a few times before Pastry Chef Avery Ruzicka even showed up on Food Network or was named a James Beard finalist. Now that Manresa has closed, the Bread stands alone and boasts five locations including this one in Campbell. I stopped by yesterday and grabbed some pastries to try at home. The Kouign Amann ($5.00) is one of their mainstays and may somehow be better than I recall. It's shatteringly crispy, seemingly soaked in butter, and plenty sweet. It may almost be too buttery, except of course that isn't a real thing. The Gluten Free Blueberry Coffee Cake ($5.00) reads like a cornbread to me, with some blueberry and not much if any butter. It's moist enough and is maybe slightly light on sweetness if anything. The overall pastry selection reads American and French. They also have various hot and cold prepared foods including toasts and sandwiches. I wasn't in need of coffee at the time of my visit, but they boast Verve Coffee Roasters offerings in a myriad of preparations including drip coffee, nitro flash brew, and several lattes. I'm glad that I got to revisit Manresa Bread and I certainly recommend them for pastries if you're in the vicinity of one. read more

Overall, I love Manresa Bread. Their Kouign Amann is to die for, and I haven't yet found another place that makes it taste as good as theirs. The service is hit or miss, and today when we ordered two Kouign Amanns, one was super crispy/flaky and the other was way more buttery and soft. I've been here a couple of times, but sadly the pastries were always sold out. This particular time I was able to go they still had some gluten-free items as well as some delicious cookies and some instant coffee to brew at home! I love that Santa Cruz brand, Verve, and for $20 I was able to get a combo pack of seven instant coffees! When I first arrived, the gentleman at the counter was very friendly and polite, I told him I wasn't ready to order and he said I could "take my time I'll be here all day." Hee As I looked around, there were a handful of people hanging out enjoying cups of coffee, along with sandwiches and salads. Everything was neutral colors and looked really relaxing. They had some nice jazz music playing in the background and there were a couple people working on their laptops. Looks like a great place to hang out and get some work done or even have a cup of coffee with friends. Hee Since I have a sensitive stomach to dark roast, I didn't want to get a latte or drip coffee since I'm not too sure how rough or strong there medium roast is. Instead, I got some take-home coffee, as well as blueberry muffin and these delicious shortbread espresso cookies in the canister For $15. But a bit overly priced. Came here recently and was a bit underwhelmed - the usual bruch/bfast goodies were no longer available and it made meeeeee veryyy SAD. No more bomb potatoes and or bfast/protein bowls when we went - so we ended opting for a bfast sandwich, avocado toast, and salmon toast, in addition to a matcha latte. The bfast sandwich was good - nice crisp biscuit with lots of cheese and sort of a sweet like sausage patty - I'm ok with the sausage being sweet but the hubby did not like it one bit. The toasts were both OK - avocado was standard with a buttload of cilantro but nothing particularly stood out here - then the salmon had too much vinaigrette and was way too tart overall, didn't end up finishing this one. I wasn't impressed. I've heard the hype but it didn't live up. Never been so I My friend and I looked at the menu by the cashier. Not much to decide but nothing really called me. We told the cashier we have never been here- and he quietly walked away. No one was in line so at least maybe someone could have recommended something. I got the ham cheese croissant and chai late. Chai was bland. Tasted like warm milk. Ham and cheese croissant was ok. My friend got a sandwich - she didn't comment so I assume it wasn't impressive. No reason to go back. It's good, but you have to pick the right things. The Kouign amann and the some of the breads looked a bit dry at 11am. I had the pistachio escargot (snail) and my friend had a coffee and a ham and cheese croissant. Both were pretty good. Ambiance is a typical bakery cafe and seemed busy. So I've been here maybe 3 or 4 times and I'll put it simply: the food and drinks area good, but they are way too expensive. This is the kind of place where lunch, a dessert, and coffee can run you $40. Get it to go, and it's more like $50. Again, the food is good. Not great but good. But the value is hilariously not there. The only reason I come is because it's convenient to order online, pick it up from the slightly pretentious staff, and leave. Sure the place looks... fine. But it doesn't look like a place where 2 people can spend $100 on lunch. Anyway, I'll most likely need the convenience again some day, and the food is good. I had a croissant, one of the plain ones. It was very good, big and flaky and tender inside with a nice thin crisp shell. Good buttery flavor overall. The staff were pretty good, I am not sure we were standing in the right place to order, but they took our order fine. The display case (not the place they serve you from, just the display of food available, this is an important note) had a few little bugs flying around, which was a little unsettling. They do not serve the food that is on display though, the actual food came from a protected bakery rack. Still, it was a tad pricey for there to be a bug problem. Partner had a kouign-amann and a short drip coffee. He said the kouign-amann was EXCELLENT, but the coffee wasn't great. Not awful, but he normally takes it black and had to put two creams and two sugars in it to make it drinkable. We'll probably try it again, at some point. I love this cafe so much! Located in Downtown Campbell, this is a go to spot for me and some friends. The staff is so friendly, the vibe is so relaxing, and it's super clean and bright inside. I had their chocolate souffle as I have never had a souffle before and it was quite rich. My girlfriend had the corn scone and she liked that as well. I love coming here for a brunch/coffee date as the ambiance here is calm and bright. I've come a couple times, but finally made a review. Here it is: it is not the cheapest place you can get coffee and baked goods, but it is a damn good choice. I've gotten their jamon sandwich and turkey sandwich. While both are satisfying depending on your craving, I prefer the turkey warmed. It had a solid amount of layered turkey and you can't go wrong with the cheese + pesto combination. Plus, their bread is grilled to perfection! Their veggie sando was also spicy (jalapeños), refreshing, and filling (olive ciabatta). Their coffee is 5/5, and today I got to try the vanilla chai which was pretty good (4/5). Their kouign amann is one of my favorites and I recommend anyone trying Manresa to order that as well!!! Service is always nice as well. :) The only complaint I have (small) is that the flies inside the store were pretty aggressive but the doors were closed so not much you can do about that. read more

First time here on a Friday morning and it wasn't very busy but had a small stream of customers. There were a few customers seated and only two in line. We had their drip coffee, Verve I believe. It wasn't strong enough for me but that's normal. They did have a choice of creamers like oat milk so that was awesome! I would have preferred the monkey bread warmed. The cheese was kind of room temperature which made it taste a little congealed. The quiche filling was moist but cold in the middle and I didn't like the mushroom flavor as much as I wanted to. My favorite way to eat a kouign amann, cut it in 4 pieces, start by pulling out and eating the middle, munch on the top, and munch on the caramelized bottom. Some people just take a big bite but I like to taste all the layers. I liked trying out this bakery. The Los Altos location was take out only when I went around Covid. I'm always on the quest for the best coffee, kouign amann, quiche, etc... this was good except the temperature, but not great. I would try it again. read more

We stumbled in closer to closing time (which is pretty early for a Sunday - 3pm?), so that's probably why we ended up with less fresh pastries. Both items we ordered tasted fine; scone was extra dry. The coffee was meh. My hot chocolate was bland and they ran out of syrup so they could not make my original request of peppermint hot chocolate. The person ringing us up forgot one pastry so we had to do an add-on, wasting more of our time bc it was closing soon. Very delicious food and pastries, great place to catch up with friends! Came here on a Monday to grab lunch with a friend. Probably due to the day, it wasn't too busy and we didn't have a problem either with parking in downtown Campbell or with ordering/grabbing a table. I got a latte with almond milk, quiche, and a kouign amman which I ended up taking home to eat later. My friend got the everything cream cheese danish. The latte was solid, although the extra charge for almond milk (I forget the exact amount, but it was more than $1) made me leery to get it again. However, the quiche was delicious-- the pastry was buttery and delicious and the filling was top notch too. I tried my friend's danish too, which was solid as well (as she put it, who doesn't like everything cream cheese?!). Taking the kouign amman home to eat later, it was good. Not the best I've ever had, but in the solid top 10. It's a little on the sweet side vs buttery, which is not my personal preference. Servers were friendly and the ambiance was chill. We stopped by Manresa Bread on a Sunday after we went to the Campbell Farmer's Market. The bakery has a nice vibe and I believe the seating area is first come first serve. You have to line up to order your food/drink since they don't take orders from your seats even if you got a spot. There was a line to order but it was moving pretty fast. I got the Everything Cream Cheese Danish ($6.50) and the Kouign Amann ($5). I absolutely loved both of the pastries! The danish was very flavorful with the chive & onion cream cheese (I think) and the everything bagel seasoning and the kouign amann is not overly sweet and has nice layers to it. Ordered pick up through grub hub and made it to this location in Campbell. I think there r new hires helping at the front. My bread order was ready but had to wait for my drink order for a few mins which was fine. When i got to my car i checked my bakery bag and there was monkey bread instead of the kough amanm so i brought it back and they took it back and gave me the correct one. What I got : Almond croissant and regular croissant: these are both good! It had a good flavor and plus it was crispy, yum! I do prefer the regular croissant tho as the almond one is more on the sweet side. Monkey bread latte: definitely something new to try! It was good and had a good balance of the coffee, sweetness and milk! This is a little more on the sweet side for all the sweet tooth's out there. I've been wondering about this place and thought I'd stop in. I noticed a 3% service charge on my order. I asked the cashier what it was for...she said it was "inflation!" Uh... wow. Ok! Lol. I understand that everything has gotten expensive, why not embed that cost in the item we purchase. That seemed weird. I felt like I was sawing a piece of wood with my serated knife... it was awful! The bread bounced on my plate. Heating it didn't help soften in... it was atrocious! Considering I spent $43.38 for mediocre stuff...I would rather go to Fleur De Cocoa and spend my hard earned money with them! Very nice and spacious cafe/bakery that has an apparent affiliation with a Michelin star restaurant, though when my group went during lunchtime there was a remarkably limited selection of pastries. Croissants were nowhere to be seen and Kouign Amann's were only available in the XL size at $35. Since I was looking for something to polish off a meal the lack of options wasn't ideal. Their card reader is also a bit finicky (which I unfortunately caught at a bad time) so hopefully they get that fixed soon. I opted to go with their whole wheat chocolate chip cookie, which is a bit of a chonker. Nicely crisp cookie with large chocolate chips and walnuts, but a little on the dry side for my preferences. Definitely a good cookie, and I appreciate the nuttier whole-wheat base, but nothing too notable about it otherwise. Love this spot for coffee, the BEST pastries, and breakfast items. The avocado toast is to die for and the chia pudding is thick, coconutty, and topped with excellent granola, fruit, and preserves. Both are seasonal, incredibly fresh, and thoughtfully prepared (tiny touches like lime zest add so much). The bread is absolutely divine, and you can't go wrong with the classic sourdough or baguette. The biscuit is over-the-top flaky, buttery, and layered, and the jam (love the apple and the strawberry) is decadent but not too sweet. They use Verve coffee, and their lattes are spot-on. We ordered breakfast on the app to-go. Both the sausage egg sandwich and bacon egg Sammie were ok--3.5 stars. The sausage patty had a lot of flavor. The egg was overcooked and barely edible. Bacon was a little undercooked for my taste, but I like my bacon crispy, just short of burnt. The bread was flakey, buttery and very messy in the car! Can't order w/o onion jam on sausage Sammie but can customize on bacon Sammie--very odd. Just scraped it off. I'd come back to purchase breads: 5-stars for croissant/bread.
