Clockwise: Caramel apple pie, caramel apple pastry, pain au chocolat, and chocolate avalanche.
Stacy C.

Had a craving for something sweet after dinner one night and decided to have some baked goods delivered from Tous Les Jours. I'd never tried their desserts before and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered lots of items. A caramel apple pie, chocolate avalanche, pain au chocolat, chocolate muffin with hazelnut filling, custard bun, caramel apple pastry, and mini apple trio danish. I ate the goodies over the next several days and they all held up nicely. My favorite was the chocolate muffin with hazelnut filling. I'm not sure if they use Nutella or some other type of hazelnut spread, but it was creamy and delicious. All of the chocolate pastries were scrumptious. The only thing I didn't care for was the caramel apple pastry. I found it overly sweet and didn't like the caramel flavor. Strangely, I loved the caramel apple pie, which is a small handheld pie that had a more muted caramel taste. I'm sure I will treat myself to Tous Les Jours again.

Stopped in a weekend afternoon, no line, but all single tables all taken. Single chairs and bar seating available too. Cool to have seating options. Ambiance: bright, airy, tall ceiling, medium level pop music playing. Lots of good choices for pastries, baked goods and cakes. Also good drink selection including coffees, teas, ice drinks, and specialty drinks. Quick check out, friendly staff. Coffee took about 5-8 min to make. Really enjoyed the strawberry croissant and chestnut latte we got. Overall whole experience very nice and enjoyable. Will be back again if need a coffee.

My girlfriend took me here to try and hyped it up. The inside looks nice and clean. The place is well lit. They have little snacks to eat that you go around and pick up. I look on the menu and was glad it said soy milk because I'm lactose. When we go to order I asked for a caramel macchiato iced with soy milk. The cashier says we don't have soy milk. I was like but it's on the menu. Pretty disappointing place that doesn't carry one of their menu items. And also the cashier didn't apologize or anything. Just gave me a straight face. That is not customer service. Great customer service and something that would have saved this visit was a smile and apology for not having a menu item. Probably will not return to this place. I'll stick to my other coffee spots.

Tour Les Jours opened recently in the Westgate area next to Boudin and Trader Joe's. The place was busy and pretty clean. We went late but they still had a decent selection available. We got the croque monsieur which is basically a grilled cheese sandwich with ham. We took it to go and warmed it for breakfast the next morning. It was delicious, crispy and flavorful. I'll definitely go back and try their other items.

This is an Asian fusion style bakery like 85C or Paris baguette - they had pastries, desserts, cakes and drinks. I particularly liked the strong nutty flavor of their ube latte (you can add an espresso shot as well it has no caffeine by itself). The matcha latte is also good, I liked the tiramisu top (kinda like a cheese foam topping you get a boba shops) too, went very nicely with the not very sweet regular matcha latte. There was a large selection of pastries and breads which I didn't get a chance to try yet, although several looked quite appetizing, ranging from the traditional croissants to taro bread. I preordered the mango cloud cake #3 for a birthday, and the order was ready on time (in fact early), and came with a cake cutter that had matches inside. The mango cloud is pretty good, the cream part is lighter than typical cream from American style cakes, although the cake party itself was quite dry. This seems to be a miss from this location as I had the same cake from the Santa Clara location and it was not like that. My main complaint is that the cakes are quite expensive for the size -- $50 after tax for a regular 8" cake. I'll give them that the cake was beautifully decorated, but a tad too expensive for my preference. The interior of this location was quite nice - good amount of seating, leisure style lounge chairs as well as table seating. Parking can be tricky as it is close to TJ's which always has a lot of foot traffic, but it is a big shared lot in Westgate West so you can always park a bit further away and walk over.

I came across Tous Les Jours for the first time in Austin last year, and enjoyed their pastries. I was so excited when I noticed that they had opened a new location at Westgate, while I was researching birthday cake options last month. It's a good alternative to the other Korean chain more popular around here. The birthday girl wanted something light, no cheesecake, no fruits; and I needed a place nearby with early pickup before driving to the small out-of-town birthday celebration. TLJ's triple chocolate mousse cake was the perfect fit! Ordering online was easy. (Forgot to join their rewards program before ordering, though.) Short line at pickup around 9:30am. Staff were friendly. They provided a plastic knife with matches, candles, and even a small happy birthday chocolate plaque. Everyone loved the cake!

They seem very similar to some of the other Asian chains, like 85C, but better. I got the croque monsieur and milk bread. Both were very tasty, not very healthy (I appreciate the calorie info for each item), but good for an occasional splurge.

So excited to have this in the neighborhood! Lots of seating inside and the space is quite large. Was here early on a weekend morning and the variety of breads was good- the kimchi croquette was unique and tasty!

We stopped by "Tous Les Jours" after lunch, since they were having their grand opening. It's very similar to an "85 Degrees" café. They had a wide variety of pastries that looked amazing. They also have whole cakes and cakes by the slice, as well as coffees and teas. When you first walk in, there is an area where you can grab a tray and line it with paper and get a set of tongs to grab the items you want. We picked 8 different pastries to take home and try. We chose the lemon cloud donut, mixed berry danish, guava danish, yuzu pie, almond croissant, sweet cheese and blueberry pastry pie , soboro, and blueberry cream cheese bread. The employees were very friendly and accommodating. And the inside is very fresh and clean with plenty of seating. You can get a free coffee mug if you spend $25 or a free umbrella if you spend $35 during their grand opening. So far we have tried the yuzu and sweet cheese blueberry pie pastry and they were both delicious.

I was up early on Sunday and noticed the newly opened Tous Les Jours was already open (6am-9pm) so I grabbed my keys and off I went. Located in the Westgate West shopping center near Trader Joe's sits this adorable new bakery. The first thing I noticed was how bright and inviting the clear glass cases trimmed in gold were. It was pretty early so I wasn't surprised that I was the only customer gazing at the goodies and trying to decide which ones were going to come home with me. Sadly many of the trays were still empty. Here's what I got: TIRAMISU LATTE - tasted like a basic mocha and wasn't very warm ALMOND CROISSANT - light and flaky but hardly any cream filling RAISIN SPIRAL - lovely dunked in my latte. SPINACH & CHEESE PASTRY - this was probably my favorite but lacked flavor to me. RED BEAN PASTE BREAD - light and airy but not my favorite. Pros- Beautiful New Bakery Excellent Customer Service Open Early Lots of options listed online customer service ambiance early hours Cons- Cases weren't full Didn't see the tongs so I thought I had to use my fingers to pull items out of the case. Hot coffee wasn't "hot" Flavors were to mild for me Looking forward to coming back to try more savory options and updating my review.

Croquet Monsieur
Charlotte P.

I got a 16oz tiramisu latte, a croquet monsieur, and banana soft bread. All three items were so delicious. I ordered from DoorDash and it got here quickly so I know they had packed my order and made my drink with fast service. All items were also packed really well. The tiramisu latte is really good because, while it is sweet; it isn't overpowering and you can still taste their espresso, which is quite smooth. The milk options are oat milk, soy milk, almond milk, and coconut milk. I chose almond milk so it added that nutty almond flavor too. I'm not familiar with these kinds of milks but I think I'd try a different one next time. I'm more of a cow milk kind of gal but sometimes subbing is worth it. The croquet monsieur was good heated up, I had never tried one before and I have a very good first impression. The cheese used is rich and flavorful and the bread is nice and soft inside but isn't soggy. The cheese also isn't super greasy so that's cool. The sweet filled banana milk bread is really good. It reminded me of the banana lady taffy flavor. Very very sweet. It's airy and soft and fluffy, just so good. They have other flavors of this too like strawberry and I can't wait to try it. The milk bread and fluffy buttercream are a tweet tooth dream.

***USP: French Asian bakery similar to Paris baguette and 85c. Lot of cakes, breads, pies and other baked goods. ***AMBIANCE & LOCATION: very spacious, airy and bright. Plenty of indoor seating as well. This place is where Mod pizza was previously, right next to Trader Joe's in the west gate west complex. ***FOOD: been here twice already as we loved what we got on our first visit. The goodies from our second visit were not an impressive but decent nonetheless. Curry croquettes: the delectable curry flavor encased in a crispy wrapper was delicious. I guess the croquettes were fresh when we got them the first time, the second time was not as magical. Chocolate fudge: was decadent but too heavy for comfort, will avoid the next time. Spinach feta danish: it can benefit from a little time in the toaster or airfryer but decent nonetheless. Chocolate muffin: pillowy soft with huge chunks of melted chocolate goodness. Must try if you love chocolate.

Chocolate croissant
Michael L.

I actually haven't been to the store but have had a "chocolate croissant" and an almond croissant brought home to me. I put the chocolate in double quotes because it's not a traditional one. They basically took a regular croissant, dipped half of it in dark chocolate, and sprinkled almond shavings on it. So the almond croissant was just OK. I mean it tasted good but it seemed too light and airy. I like my almond croissants to have a bit more "weight" to it. I had issues with the "chocolate croissant". Firstly, it didn't taste fresh. As noted, I haven't been there but it was bought in the morning and I consumed it almost immediately after I received it. It seemed day-old. Also, with it being dipped half way and no chocolate in the middle, you had half a croissant that basically didn't taste like anything if you started from the chocolate side. A definite thumbs down disappointment for me. Apparently they sell the traditional chocolate croissants but this was in the case labeled as a chocolate croissant. I wonder what the real was is called? I guess I'll never know because there's low likelihood that I'll visit!

The bakery started as Century Bakery in Grand Century Mall specializing in Green Waffles. The bakery later rebranded as CA Bakehouse and moved to this location in 2019. This bakery is best known as the home of the original Green Waffle. [Parking]: It was difficult to find available spots at this super busy plaza on Sunday at 12:30 PM, but there's a parking structure at the back of the plaza. [Ordering]: This is a takeout spot with no indoor or outdoor tables available. [Menu]: Some of Yelp's top highlighted items are Portuguese Egg Tart, Mochi Cake (Original / Banana Walnut / Guava), and Pandan Green Waffle. There was a controversy in 2022 that Third Culture Bakery sent a cease-and-desist letter to CA Bakehouse to stop using the trademark "mochi muffin," and CA Bakehouse was forced to change the name to "mochi cake." ( https://sf.eater.com/2022/6/6/23156602/third-culture-bakery-mochi-muffin-trademark-social-media ) *** Portuguese Egg Tart ($3.25): It had a strong brown sugar aftertaste. A bit sweet but I liked it. They didn't go cheap on the filling as it tasted very thick. Mochi Cake (Guava - $3.50): Chewy cake with guava filling - I still liked the egg tart better. Pandan Green Waffle ($3): Not too sweet with a chewy texture - it was the best one out of the three and definitely a must-get. *** A solid 4.5-star for the baked goods and bump up to a 5-star for the affordable prices.

When I opened the door, to enter the bakery, a fresh smell of baked goods and sweets hit me in the best possible way. It smelled like fresh maple glazed donuts. I love that smell. We were warmly greeted by the staff. It wasn't busy at all, so we took our time looking for other sweets to purchase. They found our pre-ordered cake and they did a wonderful job decorating with a cute pumpkin on the top. We also chose an apricot danish, a maple bar and a raisin snail. The prices were very affordable and reasonable here. I really loved how all the pastries and cakes. were displayed in their cases. Everything looked amazing. They even sell fresh loaves of bread and rolls. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were immediately helped with a smile. I love the old fashioned vibe in here. Both pastry and cake boxes were tired up with sting, to properly secure our box. We paid for our goods and hurried home to try a few of them. The maple doughnut was good. I loved the icing better than the doughnut itself. The apricot danish was delicious and so soft. The apricots on the top were not overly sweet, which I prefer. The pumpkin burnt almond cake was so good. The cake was so soft and light with a wonderful pumpkin flavor that reminds me of fall. The frosting and custard filling paired perfectly with the pumpkin cake. The caramelized almonds covered the entire outer cake and offered a nice flavorful crunch. The whole thing works perfectly. I didn't even know you could get the burnt almond cake in pumpkin. A huge thank you to my friend John D. for letting me know about this limited time fall flavor. When I placed the order, I mentioned that my daughter absolutely loves cats and said it would be wonderful if they happened to have any cat-themed decorations, although the bakery didn't promise that they would. They were very thoughtful and patient in communicating all the details with me. When I picked up the cake, I was genuinely amazed--it was even cuter than I had imagined! And sure enough, my daughter was SO happy to have a delicious kitty cake for her birthday. Seeing how excited she was made the cake even more special. You can really feel how much care and love they put into what they do. We had such a wonderful experience and highly recommend this bakery!

We are having our Fantasy Football Draft in the Historic Japantown and I told my husband that I…read morefound a bakery in Japantown. I gave him directions and got us there and OPPS!!! This isn't located in the historic Japantown where our draft party is. Good thing we started out early. We were still able to make it to this bakery and to our Draft party. I googled Japantown and came up with this bakery so I'm not sure how I ended up in the wrong place. This bakery is located in a Japanese Shopping Center with some many great shops and restaurants. I wish we had more time to check everting out. We did go to the market in the shopping center and picked up a 5lb bag of rice for under $20 so all is well. As for this bakery it was a total success. I yelped them and discovered they had strawberry sandwiches. I had my heart set on it. Strawberry goodness. A soft crustless white bread filled with fresh strawberries and cream. When researching this bakery I read some of the Yelp reviews and reviewers were saying that people wait outside their doors before they open so I was afraid they would be sold out by the time we arrived. We went on Sunday, September 6 at 1pm. There were so many trays empty when we arrived. I looked and didn't see any strawberry sandwiches. There was a line to check out when we arrived so I wasn't able to inquire about the strawberry sandwiches. I found another pastry that had strawberries in it and got in line. Standing in line as we got closer to the front I was able to see into the glass cabinet and saw one strawberry sandwiches as left. I prayed that the couple in-front of me didn't order it. They ordered a strawberry pastry from the case, but not the strawberry sandwiches. I was lucky. I snagged the last strawberry sandwich. When I ordered it they asked how many. I should have said 2 and maybe they'd pull another one out of the back. It was so good so two would have been the perfect amount to hold me over till lunch. Parking is a challenge. They share a lot with the whole shopping center and it's impacted. We drove around the parking lot 3 times before we found a spot. We even pulled around on the far side of the lot and checked out that area and it was all filled. Finally someone pulled out infront of us and we got a space. What a relief as I was getting really worried that we wouldn't get a spot.
