A cute cafe find in Los Gatos! I had a rather mixed experience here.. here goes: What I liked: 1. Ambience (think cute, aesthetic, fresh, lot of greenery) 2. bakery items (tried "Napoleon" (a layered puff pastry cake with cream - delicious!) 3. And yes - coffee (tried latte and lavender latte)! Also, they have lots of option for bakery items, I will definitely be visiting again to try more. What I didn't like/could be improved: 1. Raspberry brownie (this was okay-ish, nothing great) 2. The staff: I usually don't give bad reviews/comments unless something is really off-putting. First, the attitude while taking the order was rather rude. Unfortunately, if you are in the restaurant business, greeting customers warmly should be somewhere pretty high up in your job duties. I asked her about the pastry display on the side which had an array of some of the most exquisite pastries and whether I could order from there, she was quite standoffish in her answer, and that really made me not feeling like ordering anything from her. Thankfully, it was another person who handed me my coffee and pastry order that I did end up getting thanks to no help to the previous person. So yes, I loved the coffee, baked goods, ambience but because of my experience with the staff, I will give it a 3/5.
Amazing experience at Lele Cake! ! The Crème Brûlée drink was incredible, especially with the pine nuts -- such a unique and delicious combination. The salmon toast was super fresh today and absolutely delicious. They even made us a custom crêpe with Nutella and strawberries! Huge thanks to Anya, who was so friendly and helpful and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. And a special shoutout to Galya, who created the magical syrup for our drink -- she's truly a magician! I've loved this place for years, and it continues to be one of my favorites.

This place was poppin' on a Tuesday morning ! Like do yall ppl not work or just "wfh?" I liked the vibe and atmosphere, very cafe culture. The cafe itself was very cute with a beautiful pastry display. Everything was very aesthetically pleasing. Tried the seasonal biscoff cold foam, it was like a dessert ! It was, however, too sweet so it masked the caffeine. I needed more caffeine afterwards. We got a variety of desserts to try while having girl time. Our fave was the basque cheesecake! Perfectly tart and not too sweet. Everything else a tad bit too sweet for us. The passion fruit mousse was very tart, we thought less of the passion fruit jelly to make it less sour. Napoleon cake was okay, no crunch to it. The meringue was very sugary. The earl grey mousse I did like. It was very rich and you can taste earl grey on your palate towards the end. The sweetness would have been fine if the coffee wasn't sweet. Maybe it was bc I got the seasonal drink. I do think if I'm you got a classic espresso or macchiato the desserts would've paired well. The worker was nice and chatted with her for a bit.
I love this cute little cafe! It is always cozy and service is usually friendly and fast! I love their specialty coffee drinks and fancy pastries! Their ube cheesecake is divine!
This won't be a detailed review because I don't want to mislabel these mousse cakes and spread incorrect information! But these were given to me by my wife for Valentine's Day and as you can see they're beautiful! Very light (like not filling, in a good way), not super sweet - kind of like a relatively guilt-free refined dessert with creative flavors. Great for special occasions or if you like to treat yourself because you just really like yourself, which is great. As you can see, there are different layers and compositions within these cakes. Some are mostly mousse and have sharper/tarter flavors, some are more cakey and are more subtle. But I enjoyed all of them a lot. We've also eaten here before, both pastry type items and lunch. This is just a nice locally owned cafe where you can get elevated quality food and desserts in a casual environment for a fair price. Their restaurant, Lele Kitchen, is superb and we've had a few special occasions there. Highly recommend that as well.
Gorgeous cafe, gorgeous food. I was attracted to this spot because I love light brunches, and it can be hard to find in a world that prefers heavy potato + cheese + meats in the morning! I loved the prosciutto and pear toast and the crepe with salmon. Yes, it is a bit pricey here. Luckily, the food is good enough that I won't complain about it. My party was the only Asian group there, and we were told to get our drinks at the front, despite the parties sitting next to us getting served their drinks at their tables. Of course, it could be a strange coincidence, but we couldn't help but feel a bit awkward about that. Hoping our next experience won't feel that way.
I had been to Lelé Cake and Lelé Kitchen many times. I loved everything they offered and was never disappointed. While I was too late to make a reservation at Lelé Kitchen before they're completely booked for Valentine's Day this year, I pre-ordered the Hearts Mousse Cakes (set of 4) from Lelé Cake for pickup yesterday. I arrived around 3pm, and they're very busy. I didn't mind waiting in line, though, as I could look at their decorations and various cakes/cookies. Their Valentine's Day decorations and cakes were beautiful. The 4 mousse cakes were just phenomenal (inside and outside)! Each of them had very unique and delightful flavors: . rich chocolate with tangy cherry . luscious pistachio with sweet strawberry . decadent chocolate apricot infused with aromatic Earl Grey tea . creamy raspberry & strawberry yogurt They're all so sophisticated, delicious, and only slightly sweet. Truly guilt-free indulgence. I couldn't decide which one I liked the most!
I thoroughly enjoyed this bakery! The location had plenty of parking. It's a quaint bakery with delectable desserts, cakes and breakfast fare. I enjoyed the Eastern European beet soup as well. The staff was patient and friendly as well. Needless to say that I will return again when I visit family.
Came before ten. There was still some seating inside. My son was playing in the kiddie corner. Lots of little toys for kids. Ordered the Gruyère waffle and syniki with fruit and custard. The food was good. They had lattes to choose from too, maybe I'll try those next time. The baked goods also looked tasty
I've been going to this place since they opened and the quality of their food and drinks has stayed high to this day! There are definitely items on their menu I prefer, their savory waffles and toasts are delicious. I'm not a big meringue fan so I skip those, but their tarts and basque cheesecake are very tasty. I love their drinks as well. My favorite touch are the flower petals they dust on their waffles. It just gets me every time Earlier on they would get drink orders wrong but that isn't an issue anymore. Service has always been kind. I love working here, or dropping by on a day when I'm running errands locally whenever I can. I love how aesthetic the place is, they change their decorations for each holiday. The restroom is always clean and though I don't have kids and don't plan on ever having them, I love that it's clearly child friendly. I often bring friends from out of town here as it's such a gem The vibes are really wonderful. I hope they stay in business for a long time. I will have to try their restaurant next door for a special occasion!
I visited Lele Cake with my son this past Saturday, and we absolutely fell in love with this place. The moment you walk in, it feels like an intimate, elegant French-style bakery -- classy, warm, and so inviting. The ambience alone makes you want to linger, but the food and coffee make it even better. Everything we tried tasted incredibly fresh and high-quality. You can tell they use great ingredients and make everything with care. We ordered the salmon and cream cheese crepe, a brown sugar miso latte, and my son had the chocolate éclair. All of it was delicious -- balanced, flavorful, and beautifully presented. This spot is perfect whether you're craving a sugary treat, something savory, or just a really good coffee. It's become one of my absolute favorite cafés to treat myself. Yes, it's a bit on the pricier side, but honestly worth every penny for the quality and experience. A total gem in the area. Highly recommend!
Delicious food & cozy ambiance! Whether you want to have a solo cafe day, brunch with the girlies, or a cute day with your partner, lele cake is such a cute place to chill at! I love the cute pastries they have on display in the front which I have yet to try. But I LOVE their smoked salmon here & I highly recommend this place for upscale brunch & drinks! The glass cups add such a nice flair too

Very quaint setting, comfortable and inviting. Cute place to catch up with friends, go on solo dates, study/work, or simply people watch. I enjoyed my alone time here while devouring a Brie and Beet toast that was pretty amazing. Their pastries, which I took to go, were yummy as well. Loved the passion fruit Panna Cota- tart and creamy all around, a well paired treat! I'm trying a pot of hot tea next time, though the raspberry iced tea was quite refreshing. The drive was pretty far out from me, but well worth it!!!! read more

I absolutely love Lily Cake Cafe! Their meringue roll is hands down my favorite dessert--light, delicate, and perfectly balanced, not overly sweet. Every bite is amazing. The coffee is always delicious, and the cozy, welcoming atmosphere makes it a perfect place to relax or catch up with friends. The staff is friendly, and everything I've tried has been fresh and beautifully made. I highly recommend Lily Cake Cafe to anyone looking for great coffee, wonderful desserts, and a warm, inviting place to spend some time. I'll definitely keep coming back! read more

Major shrinkflation on the drinks. You can see how in my 1st review the photo of my cappuccino is appropriately sized. Not today. Today mine was tiny, just a few sips. Raise the prices more if you must, but please don't skimp. Cappuccino was so-so. Way too milky. Yogurt parfait: the granola was rock hard & gross. I crunched something hard on the granola. I have no idea what it was. The berries tasted bitter and they put just a little bit of yogurt so basically the yogurt didn't cover it and it was just mostly granola with bitter berries, lol. Truthfully, I have had way better at home. I get good granola from Whole Foods and berries and Greek yogurt. Even my homemade granola surpasses this and I don't do much. Why did I waste $14 on this, which was over $20 for a cappuccino and yogurt parfait. It's mostly high school/college kids working there. So I keep that in mind. It's not their fault. The server gave me a little bit of yogurt, which I appreciated hence the other star. Nevertheless, I keep working class families in mind and their hard-earned dollars are better spent elsewhere. I don't mind paying top dollar but this is ridiculous. read more
We arrived right when they opened this morning. The bakery cases were all full and looked delicious. We ordered the Gruyère waffles, power bowl, Shakshuka, an Ube latte, regular latte, and two pastries. Service was excellent as usual. They did not have the onion marmalade for the waffles so I chose avocado to go with it. It was delicious. The shashuka was hot and spicy. Very good! My husband enjoyed the power bowl. The lattes were very good. We both enjoyed the lime basil tart and the medovik. Leek cakes is a true gem. The inside is set up so cute with plenty of seating options. Silverware and cold water are self serve. You have to bus your own table which I'm okay with. The food here is unique and wonderful. They always have such a nice presentation with their dishes. The outside is nicely browned, but the inside is a little boring. - 2.0: Black currant Macaron; Too sweet for me. I really like the food at Lele Cafe -it is genuinely very good, and that is the only reason I kept coming back. However, the service is very disappointing and inconsistent. The communication with the staff felt confusing and unprofessional. At first, I was directly told that they do not speak Russian, so I immediately switched to English. But shortly after, I clearly heard the same staff speaking Russian among themselves. On top of that, I also noticed them speaking Russian with other guests, while I was told they "don't speak Russian" when interacting with me. This was very confusing and honestly felt strange and selective. This kind of inconsistency creates a very uncomfortable impression and feels disrespectful as a customer. I also know many people who no longer come to this café because of the rude and unwelcoming attitude of the staff. Unfortunately, I now feel the same. I will not be returning. The food is excellent, but the service completely ruins the overall experience. read more

Stopped in for a cup of coffee and a crepe with salmon. Coffee was spectacular. But wasn't crazy about the $18 crepe with some blah salmon. I've never in my (yelp) life had such an expensive crepe. The crepe itself was meh...nothing special...just a single, normal crepe piled on the plate with a few pieces of cold, tasteless salmon, a drop of sour creme and these huge caper berries that I had to lift with my hand to eat. Better to use some small capers. All that for $18 is insane!! And the restaurant t is "off the beaten path." If it were in Santana Row, I can see $18 justified (maybe). read more

We absolutely loove Lele Cake! Since day one, our kids (and us too) love all their pastries. They are all so well made with quality ingredients that make us feel great about spoiling our sweet tooth a bit. Their specialty coffees are amazing and they always have seasonal drinks to try like the one posted here. The food items are so well balanced and just delicious!!! We also love everyone at Leles. The restaurant aspect is a bit odd, because there's no menus posted or any indication they have anything other that coffee drinks and pastries, until you make it to the front of the line and ask, to then have to get back out of line to look at their menu. Even when I asked if they served lunch there, they said, "Yes, but they are closed next door until 5pm. It's dinner only", referring to "Lele Kitchen" next door...so if I didn't already know I was there to order a waffle, I would have left, confused, assuming they only had food at dinner, at their restaurant next door. I ordered their gruyere waffle (which could have used a touch more seasoning), with "sun dried" tomatoes (which seemed more like roasted/blistered than any sun dried tomato I've ever had), a "soft egg" (that was very over-cooked and had no runny yolk), and a large, thick smear of crème fraîche that wasn't listed in the description of the item despite having the strongest flavor on the plate. read more

Nice cafe with a large menu including some harder to find European dishes. Rosti with marinated cucumbers and salmon - the combination of the rosti, sour cream and salmon in a single bite was amazing. The quality of the individual components was great too. The marinated cucumber by itself wasn't memorable, but I really liked this dish overall 5/5 Syrniki with fresh berries and custard - I liked the texture of the cottage cheese pancakes. Reminds me of cornmeal pancakes. The cream went well with the large amount of fresh berries and the pancakes 3.5/5 The decor was pretty nice and welcoming. The large menu for the cafe surprised me. Lots of pastries and cakes to choose from as well. I would come back to try other dishes as well! read more
I first went to Lele Cake when they opened a few years ago. I thought it was such a beautiful space and I loved how it was child friendly. It had been a while since I visited but recently I went with a girlfriend, and I remembered how much I like the cafe! Now I have returned a few times and really enjoyed their savory items, like the salmon crepe and the gruyere waffles. Their bakery items are delicious and great for a special occasion or gift. I got Easter cookies for my nieces and noticed they have special order items for Easter this weekend. This is the perfect place to meet with friends for lunch/coffee. They have outdoor seating and indoor tables as well. In one corner of the cafe, they have a play kitchen and toys for young children. It can get pretty crowded so you may have to wait for a table or sit at the communal table as well. read more

How adorable is this place?! It's such a cozy little cafe with the cutest aesthetics and decor. I ended up getting the most dense, gorgeous-looking tropical cheesecake, literally the only whole cake they had left, and I totally lucked out. The service was quick and super chill, which I always appreciate. The place started filling up fast, so clearly it's a local favorite. There's so much more I want to try. The white chocolate matcha looked absolutely promising, definitely first on my list for next time. Honestly, the whole menu looked amazing. (I'm staying away from sugar for a while but I'm coming back as soon as I can) But let's talk about that cheesecake. Oh My God! Hands down one of the best I've ever had. It's on the pricier side, but 100% worth it. It's dense and cakey on the outside, gooey and melt in your mouth on the inside. The flavors are delicate but just right. It even gave me serious "Friends" vibes, you know that episode where Rachel and Chandler fight over a cheesecake that was accidentally delivered to them? Yeah, this one is that level good, maybe even better. Can't wait to go back! read more
Service-- Responsive and helpful workers, but do note that this is an "order and get your food at the front" type of place-- akin to a cafe. Ambiance-- place was packed! super cute decor, clean and nice, no complaints here except that some of the tables can be a tiny bit cramped. Food-- Everything we got was perfectly cooked, clearly high quality ingredients and a menu where you really can't go wrong. The dishes they serve can be pretty hit or miss so we were nervous at first but everything was definitely a hit! The only reason I haven't given them five stars is because it's pretty pricey, and the drinks were nothing to write home about. Other than that I think they're worth the visit! read more

I am eager to go back to try their drinks and other goodies. This review is just for their whole Pavlova. Whole cakes must be ordered at least a day ahead. It is beautiful and delicious, but I wish it was a little lighter. It would be great to have a more thorough description of what is included on the website. I can't quite tell if the filling is cream cheese, mascarpone cheese, or something else, but it was heavier than the pictures looked. read more
