This is a cute cafe in the Cambrian Park Plaza in between BMO and Dollar Tree. It's difficult to find because the "Heart Beat Cafe" is a very small icon on the large sign. Its very cozy and electic inside but needs better lighting inside. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of the food because I was so hungry. First time here. Ordered: -White Chocolate Mocha. Big and foamy top. -Pirogi. Very new to me and so delicious with the sauce. -Breakfast burrito. Nice and filling, with very mild(in a good way) salsa sauce dip. The interior alone was very cute and has original antique things which always attract me, compared to the usual cafes with a fake vibe. Yolanta is sweet and welcoming. We love coming here for coffee and food. This weekend was super hot and my friend and I wanted to meet for coffee and decided to go to heartbeat since it's between our homes. The owner is always so kind and friendly. I had an iced mocha and my friend had this salad. The salad was gorgeous. They have inside and outside dining and a variety of prepared or food freshly made food, drinks, desserts, and fun little retail items. I highly recommend this place. BIG Shout out to the Heartbeat Café! I swung by this place a few months ago without my wallet while juggling daddy duty and in a rush to squeeze in a lunch with my toddler before nap time. Living in Silicon Valley I just assume all places have Apple Pay however I didn't make the realization that this beautifully unique little nook did not have Apple Pay. The owner led with compassion and made my daughter and my lunch and allowed me to come back later to pay with a credit card. Fast-forward a few months, and I swung by with my mom who is visiting from the East Coast. We made our order and as I went for my wallet, the owner asked if I would like to use Apple Pay. To my elation, she had taken our conversation to Hart and got Apple Pay soon thereafter for her business. Amazing food... Phenomenal people! read more

Stingy portions of bad food at high prices. Slow service. An interior that's so baking hot you can't tolerate it. Needless to say I did not enjoy this terrible place. I tried their breakfast burrito with bacon, the smoked salmon bagel, and a double latte. The breakfast burrito was microwaved gas station quality. Served with jarred salsa. It was so bad. Really disgusting. The bagel, for $12, had barely any toppings. Look how stingy that is. $12 for $2 of food, nice markup for barely any work. The latte tasted of milk. No discernible coffee flavor. Overall, well, the roses in the little courtyard outside are nice. But I would never come back for food or drinks. read more

Worst customer service i've ever experienced. I'm always hesitant to write poor reviews on small shops, especially local small shops but I think this experience warrants sharing. I called to order a breakfast burrito, with a few changes (egg whites, add avocado, mushroom). I asked her to repeat back the order and it wasn't quite right so I repeated the changes and was rudely told "I have to go I have customers waiting". Clearly, phone customers are not customers lol. When I showed up, it looks like she was making the burrito, because no one was out the counter. I was on the phone with my wife waiting for her and she poops out and says "I'm back there making your burrito" in the rudest, snarkiest tone I've ever experienced at a restaurant. Like she was doing me a favor lol. And btw she charged an extra 4 bucks for the changes (which isn't a problem but certainly not a favor). I responded by letting her know that I didn't appreciate her tone both at the counter and on the phone. She did change her tone, but by that time, I was so disgusted with the experience I let her know that I was no longer interested doing business with them. And I don't even think they had started on the order (it was about 20 minutes after I had ordered). The person working the counter was clearly very overwhelmed, and when I asked her, she had confirmed as much, but you shouldn't be taking that out on your customers. And since Yelp likes me to write about ambience it was cute. A bit of a stars hollow / dragon fly inn from Gilmore girls. But regardless of the record, it's safe to say, I will not be patronizing this business in the future. read more

Super cute mom and pop cafe with character! The food was surprisingly tasty. We got the breakfast burrito and the Turkey avocado pesto crepe that comes with house marinara sauce which is really yummy. The breakfast burrito was also really solid. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. Quite a bit of tables outside for you to dine and enjoy a nice day out. If you come on Saturdays there's the Cambrian farmers market in the parking lot for some fresh produce. Plenty of parking here as the plaza is pretty big. read more

It appears to be family owned and the lady who took our order and served us was super nice. I got the ricotta and spinach crepe and the Italian Wedding soup. The soup was good and hearty. What an unexpectedly delightful place! I pass the shopping center fairly often, and I have never seen this place as it is in the far corner away from the main road. It is surrounded by beautiful flowers and greenery, and tucked away in the cutest little spot. Inside the decor is that of an old-fashioned tea house/candy shop. The lady that works there was super friendly. I ordered over the phone and my order took about a half hour, but thankfully I was not in a rush. I would definitely go back to try their breakfast crêpes as I did not see them listed on the menu before I arrived. So happy to find such a cute local spot since I am new to the area! Eating my way through Campbell has been exciting, and Heartbeat was the start of it all! This place was recommended to me for their crepes in particular, and I loved the decor as soon as I had entered! The decor feels very whimsical, with a touch of classic cafe furniture. As soon as you walk in, you can see classic cards, bags, and goodies to buy along with food. There's even candies to buy as well! The menu was given to me as soon as I entered, and immediately went to the crepe section- however, their coffee selection and sandwiches looked really yummy, I may have to try one of those the next time I go! My crêpe was filled with cream cheese and strawberries. I couldn't believe how delightful the combination was! Normally I'm a Nutella and berries type of girl, but ordering here made me want to branch out and try something out of my usual. They serve water glasses if you're dining there, and the associates were so welcoming every time I've visited here! I once came here during a farmers market, and had such a yummy brunch before checking out the produce - how fun is that?! This location, decor, and assorted gifts to purchase are charming and enough to leave an impact on you from order to exit. Wanted to do an update review (December 2020). I can't ask for a better place than Heartbeat. I tried something different this holiday, a Turnberry sandwich, a holiday special. I've had two breakfast burritos and two oat milk lattes over two visits so far. All of those were delicious. The young lady at the counter, who I think may be the owner, is very friendly and courteous. The ambiance is authentic with nice art and gifts. There are small tables with one to four chairs, a sofa, lounge chairs, and bar seating looking out the window. This is a new favorite breakfast spot right near my gym. read more

We stopped in for the first time today and will likely return. It's a quiet, quaint little spot that you could easily drive past, given it's tucked in the middle of a largely vacant shopping center. With that, the decor is very warm and homey. The gal who runs it was very pleasant and our order was brought out relatively quickly. My Cobb salad was tasty, even if not spectacular, and my coffee was really good. My wife's chicken wrap was flavorful and her lemonade was delicious.
