10/10. That's coming from me and my daughter who is a bit of a picky eater. Food was delish. We ate so much and still had a lot to take to go for leftovers. Customer service was also 10/10. We just left and it was so good I had to leave a review while in the parking lot.

Good food. The place tries to be authentic. It stands out from the run-of-the-mill Thai restaurants in the Bay Area that serve up sugar-laden curries. Only thing is that the crab meat in the fried rice was a bit scant. I'll be coming back to try the other dishes.

Honestly....not my favorite. I do love the inside of the restaurant and the service staff was super nice but just pretty mid. The green curry was good but too thin for me and not a very large serving for the price. The pad see ew was good because how can you go wrong w it, but I don't know also just slightly less saucy than I like! Not to saw pad see ew is a generally saucy dish but I don't know it needed more flavoring, and the beef was overdone for me but my friend liked it!

This restaurant is one of my top 3 favorite Thai restaurant I've ever been to in my life. Everything I've tried is delicious. My favorite new thing I tried this time is the spicy catfish. The chili sauce from this dish is to die for- and a crowd favorite from my foodie siblings. Other honorable mentions are the golden duck curry that I forgot to picture. But everything I've tried is good. 10/10 recommend. I always try to come here when I come to San Jose. Service is always great. And it's always nice and homey and clean.

Food was tasty and service was friendly and kind. My friend and I both got the pad Thai. It had the right balance of flavor, came out quickly, and was certainly a portion we could have shared. Our server was really attentive and helpful. He also asked if I wanted to add spice on the side and I did! It came with jalapeño pickles, some Thai spice packet, and a sauce. It was perfect :) So thanks Thai Orchid. I'll be back.

Filthy area of dirty towels in laundry baskets Mop bucket, soybean oil boxes, empty egg crates trash boxes

back parking lot where you enter from the side is full of garbage, dirty laundry, rags empty egg crates boxes of soybean oil stacked up. Brooms mop bucket disgusting. interior of restaurant is very shabby and rundown needs painting. Everything looks dingy. It is not a clean restaurant. Therefore who cares how good the food is.

Such a cute little spot in a great area! Amongst a busy area, this place managed to settle in a quiet little spot off of Campbell/Bascom, right across from the Pruneyard. Just opening when we got there so there was plenty of seating as we were the only ones for dine-in. Very Home-y inside and comfortable. We ordered Vegan pad see ew 10/10 honestly one of the best pad see ew's we've ever had! Great portion size for price and thickness of noodles was perfect!!! Would order again! Yellow curry 10/10 only feedback is that we wish we had more!! Perfect potato texture and the side of rice was a healthy portion for $4. We are excited to try more things on their menu!

This little Thai restaurant has been around for a long time, I've been visiting since the 90s when I first came to the Bay area. It has a great selection of Thai food and the setting is very traditional and comfortable. I had a delicious Seafood Pad See Ew along with a Thai Iced Tea. The service was very nice even though I came just as the restaurant was closing.

This most recent visit left me pleasantly surprised... and I have discovered my pleasant visits have one common denominator- JOHN!!! Shout out to this young man for being patient, kind, attentive, and very welcoming. My family and I arrived for lunch this past Saturday with 2 other parties already seated. This says a lot since we pretty much arrives shortly after the establishment opened. John immediately greeted and went straight into seating us. We placed our usual order of 2 pad thai made with prawns. This was requested to be "Spicy Spicy". We also added an order of the chicken green curry- made with its default spice level. Food came out piping hot, freshly made, and looking undeniably delicious. Each dish was masterfully made and the kitchen staff deserves recognition for ALWAYS coming through with something consistently tasty. The heat level on the pad thai truly hit the spot with a heat that left you lowkey panting but not wanting to stop. Yes, IT HURT SO GOOD!! 5/5 Stars for this particular visit. Thank you, John for being a great face behind Must Be Thai. Your personable personality truly makes this dining experience enjoyable- other staffers could take a few pointers from you. I'll 100% be back and hopefully we'll be lucky enough to be served by you again!!

*Vegetarian Foodie Review*…read more Tried it this weekend. I called in and made a reservation for 10 people. They accepted and also confirmed on the day of to make sure we were still coming. It's a small hole-in-the-wall kind of place. There were only 3 parties when we went -- 2 parties with 4 chairs each, and ours was the big 10-person table, so I would recommend always reserving ahead for large parties. Parking was easy to find. There's general public parking available right behind the restaurant. Our server was very attentive and gave us some good recommendations. Here's what we ordered: Appetizers 1) Egg rolls -- 5/5 2) Roti Panang curry -- 4/5 3) Fried Tofu -- 4/5 Soup 4) Tom Kha (medium spice) -- Pot style -- 5/5 Entrees were ordered w/ veggies and tofu 5) Basil fried rice (mild) -- 3/5 -- ordered it mild for my 5 year old and she loved it. I have had better at some other Thai places, though! 6) Pad Kee Mao (medium spicy) -- 4/5 -- I loved it. Pretty yummy, solid standard taste. Overall a good experience! Unfortunately, the food took a long time to come out, and we waited more than 20 minutes for our first dish. On top of that, two of the items we ordered were out of stock, which was quite disappointing. Eventually, we ordered the chicken wings with laab flavor, crab fried rice, and Pad Thai. The crab fried rice was our favorite. The rice had just the right amount of moisture, and the crab meat was flavorful and savory. As for the chicken wings, I personally didn't like the laab flavor because it was too sour for my taste. The Pad Thai was just average. The meat was dry and tough, while the noodles were too wet and slightly bland. Overall, the experience was just okay, and I don't think we will be coming back.

I am a creature of habit so it's not too common for me to go astray from what the norm is and trying something new out of disappointment fears. Thank you to my coworker for throwing out this restaurant for our group lunch. Being one of three Thaibodia Bistros located in the Bay, the reviews all across the board are pretty promising. A table for 5 was easily accommodated and no reservations were made. Menu is viewed via QR code and service was prompt. Our meal consisted of: Beef Pad See Ew [medium] Squid Pad See Ew [medium] Chicken Pad Thai [mild] Chicken Yellow Curry [mild] Shrimp Fresh Rolls Chicken Pan Fried Dumplings Sticky Rice Jasmine Rice + Drinks Food was good. Everyone pretty much enjoyed their meals. I must say the spice level at a typical Thai restaurant doesn't exactly compare with Thaibodia's. Medium spice is usually the perfect amount of heat for me to enjoy comfortably and I felt like I would have enjoyed "hot" better according to their levels. I also got catfished with the dumplings- the sauce drenched on top resembled buldak but ended up being quite sweet. 4 stars overall. I wouldn't hesitate making a return visit.
