Big servings!! We should have just got one dish to share, but we got to enjoy leftovers. I preferred the pad see ew over the pad Thai but both dishes were good for our dinner. The one staff member we saw was very attentive and helpful. Good amount of seating and the restaurant is clean. I'm glad we stopped in while walking by

Southeast Asian comfort food. A casual local gem for generous portions and classic cozy flavors. We ordered the classics like pad Thai and pad see ew, with that perfect balance of sweet and savory. A rich green chicken curry so comforting. Every dish tasted homey and was made for sharing. This is the kind of spot you bring your family or meet friends when you just want good food without a wait and service was quick. If you love Thai and Cambodian cuisine, give Thaibodia a try.

Visited for their limited dine-in promotion and had a great time! I've ordered take out from their Milpitas location multiple times but have never dined in. Their San Jose location is nicely decorated and the ordering process was quick and easy through the QR code. Service was friendly, quick, and courteous. The food portions are huge and came out piping hot. The favorite of the night was the fried cod. I'd consider revisiting in the future if I'm in the area. Their takeout combos are more appealing to me, but the dine-in experience was very pleasant.

61 - Yellow Curry and 78 - Rama Thai made correctly with spinach

I had dinner delivered from Thaibodia earlier this week and it was delicious. I had the Rama Thai and yellow curry chicken. The Rama Thai was perfect but the yellow curry was too spicy, even though I ordered it mild (this could be an issue specifically with me because I'm overly sensitive to spice). Not wanting to throw away $20 worth of food, I added coconut milk from my own kitchen to the yellow curry to cut the spice and it tasted wonderful. Tonight I decided to try Thaibodia again and ordered just the Rama Thai. The chicken is supposed to sit on a bed of raw spinach, but instead there were just some tiny pieces of spinach and cabbage. It really didn't taste good without the bed of spinach. Fortunately I got a partial refund from DoorDash.

The space is gorgeous! Very open feel and clean. We got the chive puffs recommended by the server, chicken pineapple fried rice, green curry with shrimp and pad see ew with beef. I totally forgot to ask for everything to be spicy and she didn't ask spice level either... So remember to mention the SPICE LEVEL! It's not spicy at all otherwise but they had peppers on the side you could add with everything. Chive puffs was probably my favourite. Had a coconut sauce with it too. Chicken pineapple fried rice was pretty good. Chicken was dry, it was not on a pineapple! Jk. Still pretty good despite the chicken. Green curry was meh. Pad see ew with beef was really sweet. On day 2, doused them with my spicy chilli oil at home and finished it with no problem! Idk if it's a return.

31 - TOM KHA SOUP

We've been to another spot in Milpitas and we had a great experience so today we decided to visit somewhere nearer. Food: overall, they taste good but the Tom Kha soup is way too salty, and we have to add some water ourselves to get it balanced. The chicken in all dishes is well cooked; very tender. We ordered medium spicy for all of the food and it's just about the hotness we want. Service: When we entered the restaurant around 8 we were told that they are closing at 9 yet the business hour on Yelp and Map is 9:30 so we were a bit surprised as there were no notice on the door even if it's a day before the holiday. (The Google Map is showing 9pm though. Hope the business owner can make sure info are aligned and updated) Ambiance: clean and nice. Casual meal or family dinner is recommended.

Pad thai with peanuts

Stopped by for a late lunch. I had ordered the food online.it said it would be 15 minutes. I pulled up right in front. There's only street parking no lot. The place was completely empty, but than again it was 3pm. The guy behind the counter was friendly and asked if I was there to pick up a order. He came back with a very heavy and extremely hot package. I thought it was a bit expensive till I got home and saw how big the portion was. Easily enough for 2 to share. There was also plenty of shrimp. Not the normal 6 shrimps per serving like most places. The taste was good, but a little dry. I prefer my pad thai with a bit more sauce. But that's my personal opinion. Will definitely come back ,or I might try one of their other locations.

Just tried Thaibodia Bistro in San Jose and was seriously impressed! If you're hunting for a tasty and affordable Thai spot in the Bay Area, this is it. Here's what we ordered: - Tom Yum with Mixed Seafood - Bold, tangy, and the seafood was generous (think shrimp, squid, and fish in every bite). - Mixed Seafood Salad - Super refreshing and a huge portion. Great balance of heat and acidity. - Fresh Spring Rolls with Shrimp - Light, fresh, and the peanut sauce was on point. Bonus: they offer veggie/tofu options too! Their menu covers all the Thai essentials: pad Thai, curry, pineapple fried rice, mango sticky rice... everything looked

We did family style and ordered: - the famous papaya salad platter: comes with fried chicken wings, papaya salad, vermicelli noodles, boiled eggs and sausage. You can ask for spice preferences. Probably my favorite dish! Had multiple dishes to try. Added an extra wing (only comes with 2) - stuffed chicken wing: stuffed with lemongrass, ground pork and comes with white rice and papaya salad. First time eating a stuffed chicken wing and felt that the lemongrass really came through in the meat. - Khaw nee: a Lao stir fry noodle with sweet soy sauce toppings with eggs. First time having this noodle! I thought it was very flavorful and the eggs and noodles complimented each other very well. Hope to try their pad Thai another time. I think overall this meal was super flavorful and filling. We even had leftovers! For the price it was worth it. I don't think I've been to many Lao restaurants, so I am happy this one exists. I would come again and try other dishes :)

The Amok is my favorite dish on the menu. It's made of catfish marinated in coconut, lemongrass and guajillo peppers that is slow baked in a banana leaf and topped with coconut cream sauce. The way it is cooked gives this dish a soft soufflé- like texture. For those of you who don't like fish, this is the dish to try. You wouldn't know it is fish at all! The papaya salad is also delicious and refreshing! Not pictured are the loat cha pearl noodles with shrimp simple and delicious, perfectly balanced with a squirt of lemon! Amazing friendly service that only comes from a a family pended business and clean, modern ambiance makes this perfect for anything from causal lunch to work dinners and upscale dining. I feel like the menu has gotten much bigger including Laos/Cambodian dishes. There were a few parties having lunch already when we arrived. We were told to head to the table inside. No specific tables were mentioned so we sat anywhere that was inside. Menus were brought out right away and the staff stood nearby waiting for us to take our order and was was brought out immediately after we ordered. We ordered the following: 1. La Mein Xao Thap Cam (combination stiry fried noodles): Reminds me of Thai's drunken noodles without the sweetness. Very savory and seasoning was just right. Flavorful but not salty. The noodles were thicker than the usual chow fun. It was cooked perfectly and is chewey just the way I like it. There was not alot of noodles but with the amount of vegetables with shrimp and chicken that it worked out well as the dish filled me up. 2. Hu Tieu Dai, Kho (Combination noodles w/ transparent tapioca based noodles, dry (or you can request with soup): The bowl is big enough for hubby to mix his noodles. He says the noodles were cooked well, nice, firm, and chewey. The sauce is flavorful and not too salty. Hubby says the protein could be more. There were a few slices of pork, 2 shrimp, 1 small piece of squid, 1 thin slice of pork heart & 1 small piece of liver. This dish is accompanied with a vegetable plate and a bowl of soup on the side. The vegtable plate had a small portion of blanched bean sprouts and a couple pieces of cut up Chinese celery. For my husband who loves veggies in his food, that was not enough. He asked for more bean sprouts. Overall, we both enjoyed our meal. Service was not great nor bad. When we need extra bean sprouts my husband was able to locate a staff and got their attention. His request was met promptly. Aside from that, no staff came by to check in nor refill our water. We will definitely returned with our boys in the future to try other dishes. I definitely am interested in the Laos/Cambodian dishes that are on the menu.

I wasn't feeling well, so I decided to order 2 Hu Tieu to-go (no bones, which I know costs extra) and called it in ahead of time. Over the phone, I was told the total was $39, which already felt high at about $20 per bowl but I figured maybe there was a misunderstanding. When I got there, I was told the same total again, so I asked for clarification. The menu lists $15 for small and $16 for large, and I'm familiar with places automatically charging the large size for to-go orders, which is fine. But the math still isn't mathing! Even estimating generously: $17 per bowl comes out to $34, plus about 10% tax ($3) brings it to $37. There's also a clearly posted $0.35 to-go container fee, but that still doesn't justify the $39 total. It may only be a small difference, but the lack of transparency didn't sit right with me. Unfortunately, experiences like this make it hard for me to want to return, even for a place I used to enjoy. I won't be coming back.

There was a lot of meat that comes with the noodles. There was just enough sauce, but there are condiments on the table so that you can add extra flavor.
