This is absolutely a hidden gem! I was at the mall and the Thai food at the food court didn't look too appetizing so I quickly searched Yelp for a place nearby! I am so glad I found this place! I ordered on my walk to my car and in the 10 min it took to get there, my food was already ready by the time I arrived! I ordered the roti and the pad thai. Food was 6.5/10 and service was 6/10! We had the Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken and Mango Sticky Rice. The fried rice was sweet and savory. I do recommend stirring it before eating because the seasoning felt spotty. Every scoop felt like a hit or miss with the saltiness. I felt like there wasn't a lot of chicken, but other than that, it was quite delicious. The dessert was good, but the mango wasn't really sweet. It's not the cook's fault. The mango was probably not in season so I think that's why it's not as sweet. The service was good. We tried Thai Mama for the first time tonight. We were both craving Thai food and knew this place was close to our house and that they have great yelp reviews. They only do takeout which worked out perfectly because we planned on takeout for tonight, anyway. I phoned in our order. The gentleman taking my order was very polite and kind. I ordered the Thai samosas, pad thai with prawns, mango special stir fry with chicken, the panang curry with chicken, the pineapple fried rice with pork, the pineapple curry with prawns and a side of steamed. All items were ordered with mild spice, which was perfect for us. Our favorite items were the samosas and the two curries. The samosas were definitely made fresh and had two delicious sauces. The panang curry and pineapple curry were both so flavorful and delicious. The pineapple fried rice was also excellent and had great flavor. The pad thai with prawns was also very good. I really appreciate that they left the bean sprouts out, as I requested. Our least favorite was the mango special stir fry with chicken. I think the main problem here was the chicken. The chicken was overcooked and very dry. In fact both the chicken and the pork protein options were overcooked and dry in all the dishes we ordered. The shrimp in both the pad thai and pineapple curry were cooked perfectly. I would definitely order from here again but will probably not choose the chicken or pork for proteins. Side note: I was told that our order would be ready at a certain time. When my husband went to pick it up it was not ready. He had to wait an extra 20 minutes. So I would definitely wait a bit longer to pick up our food next time. Inside: there are a few chairs inside and outside for you to sit while waiting for your food but no tables. I've been wanting to try this place for some time and I finally decided to when I was feeling sick and wanted soup! I got the coconut noodle soup with tofu & veggies and I got it Thai spicy! I was a little scared of how spicy it might be but honestly, it was not bad. Still, would not advise if you feel like you are sensitive to spice because you can visually see more pieces of actual Thai chilies in the dish. I've since gone back to have this again and it was the perfect comfort dish, like a hug from the inside to help me feel better but fuel me with something absolutely delicious! I also had the Thai tea and it was made perfectly! Not too milky and not too sweet. It's one of the better Thai teas that I've had at any restaurant. This place only offers pick-up orders. I didn't see it on any delivery service. Definitely easiest to just call in your order. The interior is very small and not designed for a sit-in meal. I can't believe it took me so long to try Thai Mama! After moving into the neighborhood a couple years ago, a friend of mine recommended it. I hadn't had a hankering for Thai in some time, but when the craving hit, I was so happy to remember Thai Mama. I love Papaya Salads and theirs does not disappoint. Chock full of fresh fruit and veggies and just the right hint of lime and fish sauce brought so much satisfaction. The other dish I ordered was the red curry. Super Green Curry! Thai Mama's specialty that is packed with veggies... kale, broccoli, green beans and bell peppers. My new favorite thing! The food here was really good! We ordered online for pickup and it said 20 minutes. We arrived after 30 minutes and still waited about 20 minutes but our order had 7 entrees, so that's understandable. I wish their ordering system had a better way of telling us when the food would be ready. Overall, everything was tasty but we did wish there was more meat in some of the dishes, especially the pineapple fried rice. My drunken noodles were BOMB, the pad see ew, coconut curry noodle soup, Panang curry, and pineapple curry with shrimp were all really good! This is a local Thai Takeout only place. Decided to give it a try late at night. The service is great, I ordered ahead for pickup. I ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp with chili sauce on the side. The shrimp was really good and seasoned well with the sauce but the Pad Thai itself was kind of really dry. By the time I got home, it wasn't as hot anymore but the noodles just started clumping together due to the dryness. I don't experience this with other places for takeout so not sure what causes that either. The Thai Iced Tea was okay, could be less sweet. It's not the best Thai place I've tried but it was decent. I ordered my usual for comparison - green curry with chicken, pad se ew, and eggplant tofu/veggies sometimes with chicken added in basil sauce. At first glance the dishes look alright, but after a few bites they're just blend and not enough ingredients. for example, the eggplant tofu hardly had any eggplant. the curry chicken had a lot of thin broth, almost no curry taste. I've been here several times and so far enjoyed every meal. Of particular note are the Thai samosas and satay, both of which are very good. I've also had noodles, salads, and stir fries, and everything is always fresh and hot. I mean hot in the temperature sense, because even when I ask for Thai hot, sadly I get, um, let's just call it "Westerner hot". I know they do this because they don't really believe I want to punish my taste buds with properly spicy food, but I wish there was a code word I could use that means "I know I look and sound like I can't eat spicy food, but really, I love insane heat". Oh well. Anyway, the menu isn't too big, which in my book is a plus. The larger the menu, the more chance the restaurant won't be good at everything. See The Cheesecake Factory, which is barely acceptable at everything. The prices are, well, I guess in line with other places, although of course I wouldn't mind if they were cheaper. Gotta make a profit though, so it is what it is. They take credit cards and there is plentiful parking at the large strip mall. Basil stir fry was inedible, prepared with spoiled bamboo shoots. Smelled like ammonia/urine. To their credit, when I called to complain they offered to replace it, indicating they suspected there was a problem with their canned bamboo shoots. Fair enough; mistakes can happen, I'm OK with that. I started to drive back but on the way back someone else (the manager?) called and said they didn't have ingredients to make a replacement so they offered me a dish of my choice. I figured I'd try the Pad Thai. They also said they would refund the purchase in addition to replacing. That seemed fair. I got the Pad Thai, which was overly sweet and I couldn't eat it. Oh well. At least I had been refunded. The other thing I had ordered was the yellow curry which was OK, but bland. I probably won't be going back. There are much better Thai options near Almaden. EDIT: the owner reached out very shortly after posting with sincere apologies and refunded the whole meal. He was also eager for me to try another dish with his complements. I want to support local Almaden businesses and this business owner clearly cares. So I have left my food comments in place but upgraded my review for service and attentiveness, and customer service. If you have a problem, reach out to them, they want to make their customers happy. Definitely give them a try; your tastes may differ from mine. read more

The food is AMAZINGGG! I ordered the prawn pad Thai medium and the chicken wings medium. Both items are bursting with flavor! They are also a very sizable portion. The food is a little bit more pricey than the other "Take-out" Thai food places I have tried, but the quality and flavor definitely shows. I didn't go "Hot" like I usually do because it was my first time ordering here, but I think next time I will try "Hot" because the medium doesn't pack any heat, but it definitely packs a lot of flavor! I have been meaning to stop and try food from this restaurant for years. Last week, I stopped in after doing some errands there in the shopping center. I was greeted with a smile and pleasant service. The day that I stopped by, the sky became very dark, began to hail, then thunder, and lightning followed.
