wow, talk about flavor. The Kung Pao Beef was rich in flavor. Explodes in your mouth good. 10/10!! The rice was fresh, the rice could not have been more than a full day old. Flavor was good. I would prefer the chicken not look so white, but it was still good in flavor 9/10 the orange chicken was a bit chunky but again flavor was rich. We're so happy with all the food. Now the service was excellent! They were so nice while I waited. They gave me a couple extra fortune cookies to eat. When my order was finished they loaded me with sauces, cookies and even gave me some egg soup! My bf will be coming back to sit down and try other options. It's a cute date night spot.

Visiting my father in-law while in the area and this was the closest to his hotel. Honestly, anytime you eat Chinese food at a spot you're not familiar with, I always advise you dine-in to get a better experience before making it your to-go place and this place had really great taste in their food. Chicken salad - 8/10 the chicken in this dish was the star. It's fried chicken bits cut into the salad, but it was really the reason why we were smacking on it Szechuan green beans - 10/10 honestly there is heat in them, but not bad, like a pepper-y kind of heat and honestly we ate all of it before we left. Kung Pao chicken - 8/10 honestly it taste the same everywhere, but wasn't mad about it. Szechuan bean curd (minced pork & tofu) -10/10 our father in-law introduced us to this new dish and it was the best dish we ordered. If you like it spice, I'd suggest adding in hot chili oil which is probably why we were all eating it and going in for seconds. Drinks - can soda and individual hot tea cups Overall - 9/10 they always say that 3 1/2 star chinese spots are where you need to visit and honestly, I AGREE. They were very welcoming and checked in on us and asked us if we had any questions on the dishes we ordered. Definitely a great experience for us here.

Really wanted to like the food because it's walking distance from my place, but unfortunately they did not pass taste test. Ordered the salt n pepper fish and honey walnut shrimp togo. They were very careful to package every component of the shrimp separately. The walnuts were kinda the star of the night haha. The breading on the shrimp was too thick and made the shrimp feel even smaller. Dissappointing. The fish didn't really have salt n pepper flavor or much flavor. Better breading and good portion though. They were both in the $20-$21 dollar range and just soooo not worth it.

Such a homey spot with comforting food! Came here after my fiancées haircut next door because we needed a quick meal that wasn't fast food. So glad we came I really enjoyed it. It's a small restaurant with about 8 tables. It has an old school vibe. They have a really epic pothos in the front that I enjoyed tho lol. I'm pretty sure it's a family business. They were all so friendly and I feel like they had a good rapport with a bunch of regulars. It was a steady stream of customers coming in and out. I liked all the food. Hot and sour soup: good flavor land lots of filling inside like tofu and bamboo shoots. Beef and broccoli: my favorite, the broccoli stayed nice and crunchy but tender enough. I hate soft broccoli. The meat was soft. Pot stickers: I wish they were crunchier but the meat filling was tasty. Def would come back. It looks like they have 12.99 lunch plates.

I came with my family on a friday evening and I had a great experience here! It has a homey and cozy vibe that I love, and the staff are extremely helpful, kind, and welcoming :) We ordered the family special dinner for four (option B) and everything was so tasty. It came with vegetarian egg rolls, hot and sour soup, mongolian beef, kung pao chicken, BBQ pork fried rice (subbed pork for chicken), and salt and pepper prawns, and yu shang broccoli. Most dishes came out one by one and they were all so flavorful and good. When we were finished, staff kindly helped us box our leftovers. We also got fortune cookies at the end of our meal which was a nice treat!

I live nearby and decided to pick up lunch here today. Mongolian beef was delicious and the serving was great value. I can't believe I didn't find this place sooner. Service was great and quick, very kind family owned business. I just wish I had find it sooner!

The salted egg yolk fried chicken wings were awesome. They come out looking super red, but they are not spicy. Great flavor, super good, and very yummy. The cumin lamb was excellent too. It had a little spice, but not too bad, and the lamb was really soft. The mapo tofu with pork was good, but very spicy. The tofu itself was good. The Sichuan high wok was tasty, but it got spicier and spicier the more I ate it, so just be ready for that. Honey walnut shrimp came out very crispy and the sauce was light. The flavor was not too bad, but the shrimp flavor did not come through as much. The Yunnan rice noodle soup with pork and pickled cabbage was good, and the soup itself had nice flavor, but I wish it had more meat. Beef and scallion dumplings were average. Sauteed greens were solid and definitely necessary to balance out the meal. Service was relatively quick, which was nice since we ordered a good amount of food. Everything came out at a good pace, and the meal felt easy overall. Nothing too fancy on the service side, but it got the job done. The inside feels like a big cafeteria. It is fine, but not really a place you go for ambiance. It was also a little hot inside, which made the spicy dishes feel even spicier. Overall, Home Eat is a good spot for flavorful Chinese food, especially if you like spicy dishes and salted egg yolk fried chicken wings.

With so much ramen competition in the Bay Area, I had to try it out for myself and Uzumakiya's unfortunately does not stand out. It's your standard tonkotsu ramen, but you can definitely find better Hakata-style ramen elsewhere. My personal favorite being Ramen Hajime. To speak more on the ramen itself, the broth leaned more on the thin, watery side rather than the rich, creamy pork bone broth you'd expect from a good tonkotsu. It was also a bit salty. Noodles were fine, al dente. The waiter kindly explained that the only difference between the "Tokusei" (deluxe) ramen and the classic version was an added egg, extra pork belly, and seaweed. That didn't feel worth the additional $5 to me, so I opted for the classic black garlic ramen and added an egg for $2 instead. Overall, I don't think transitioning to ramen was the best move, especially because their udon was so special. I've genuinely never had udon like theirs in the Bay Area, which makes it even more disappointing that they no longer serve it on their normal menu. I'm sure many others feel the same way. I used to come frequently back when they specialized in udon, but I don't think I'll be returning unless they bring it back or if it's for their Aburi Shime Saba. Wishing Uzumakiya all the best regardless!

The Nam Vang came with sliced pork, ground pork, and one prawn in a clean, savory broth--light but flavorful. The filet mignon pho was a solid upgrade: tender beef, silky noodles, and a broth that leaned richer but still easy to sip. Noodles had a nice bounce in both bowls. Thank you to my bro and his fam for treating us out to some Mother's Day noods!!!…read more My bro and his family are massive fans of Kali Noodles + Tea Bar. Even with them moving out to the East Bay, they make periodic drives just to enjoy what KN has to offer. I've had one dining experience here previously and was not impressed. This lead to not returning. Fast forward 2.5 years or so, here I was again. Our large party of 9 arrived at opening hours and the owners were so very welcoming. The restaurant was clean and the condiments were in tip top shape. Our family's order was massive. We started the meal with xiu mai [Vietnamese pork meat balls] and Chinese donut sticks. This then continued with mi do bien, filet mignon and beef ball pho, & a variety of nam vang noodle versions. The great thing about Kali Noodles are the multiple options of noodles they provide. There are a number of combinations that could be made with the 6 offerings. The food was surprisingly really good- so much better than what my first visit was. The bowls were presented neatly but plated in a way where the large chunks of lettuce made the bowls seem a lot more fuller that it really was. The noodle soups also consisted a lot more broth than noodles. Having said that, the egg noodles are really really good!! The restaurant cooks them perfectly- chewy with a slight bite that keeps you wanting more and more. Hu tieu dai was unfortunately too mushy in texture for my liking. 4 stars overall. Customer service from the owners were exceptional. They were attentive to each person's order and were so welcoming. The food was good but maximize the deliciousness by strictly going for the thin egg noodles. You will not be disappointed and this recommendation is coming from a person who typically steers clear of this. I'd happily return.

Our dishes arrived minutes after we sat down, which was impressive. There was also a variety of delicious side dishes, with various types of kimchi. The nine of us split two braised beef short rib dishes - and we were struggling to finish it all. The portion size is massive, which makes sense since it's a pretty penny. The meat was so tender, literally falling off the bone. There were a ton of potatoes, daikon, rice cake, and carrots as well. The entire dish was savory and delicious, pairing perfectly with rice.
