    Orange Chicken

A decent Chinese food spot in Almaden! It's family owned and has been around for a while in this shopping center. Sadly, not many businesses thrive in this shopping center, so props to them for staying alive! Parking will never be a problem here. Ordered Orange Chicken with fried rice and beef and broccoli! All of them meals come with a soda. The rice was a little bland, but I still liked it! It tasted like it had been sitting around. The orange chicken was really sweet and drenched with sauce, and the beef and broccoli was okay. The meals are a little pricey as well.

Can always count on Lin Garden to be opened on the holidays. Ordered takeout for New Years dinner and service was quick and convenient. The restaurant's setup is more of a store front, so not many seating indoors. We usually get: - beef chow fun: 5/5 - ratio of beef and been sprouts to chow fun is perfect for my preference, chow fun noodles cooked well so it doesn't stick together - meat combo w/ tofu: 3/5 - nothing too special, a filler item to have variety - walnut shrimp: 4/5 - pretty consistent on the fried batter, plus it's nice that they pack the mayo on the side, however a couple times they forgot to throw in the walnuts - sweet & sour fried chicken: 4/5 - also another item that is good but not as consistent, sometimes the chicken can either be smaller pieces vs bigger pieces, I prefer the bigger pieces because meat is more tender/juicer Pretty safe choice for Chinese food in the Almaden area. However, it can be a bit inconvenient for those that don't live nearby.

A neighborhood mom and pop restaurant owned by a local immigrant family (we were told the chef used to cook in a famous Cantonese restaurant in China) that serves delicious traditional Chinese food with very reasonable prices. The portions were large. Every dish we ordered was great. They reminded me of the comfort food you would find in south China, nothing too fancy but really good. The space is pretty small (only 4-5 tables) but is great for takeout. The service was very friendly. We are definitely going back soon.

Hole in the wall mom and pop shop that makes the best Chinese food in the South Bay! I personally love their food and their location because if we don't support these we will be run by Panda Express!

Came here for the first time today for takeout. What a pleasant experience. The owners are very sweet and kind. I ordered the Kung pao chicken, sweet and sour shrimp, shrimp fried rice and shrimp chow mein. The food was prepared quickly and was ready in no time. They packed all the food with care, separating the sweet sour sauce in a separate container. I thought that was wise, because the sweet and sour shrimp stayed crispy by adding the sauce when we were ready to eat. The food was really good. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the food was not overly greasy. Both my husband and I enjoyed everything and there are plenty of leftovers. The food was reasonably priced and the portions were large. I'm so happy to have found this restaurant that is close to our neighborhood. We will definitely be back for more. I highly recommend this Chinese restaurant for takeout or dine-in.

So happy to have a tasty local takeout spot! Also, quantity is epic!! The fried rice and pork that come with the combo meals are sooo good! One thing, its cash only!

Chicken chow mein well at least the bean sprouts were great.

The food is delicious here, some plates may be a little pricy but is worth it considering how much is served.

The wagyu and chicken soup were both outstanding -- flavorful, hearty, and healthy. Here's the part that took it over the top for me: they had accidentally forgotten our fried tofu. I barely tried to get his attention from the corner of my eye, and he noticed immediately. I honestly don't know how he did that, but it was impressive. Since it was my first time there, I felt a little overwhelmed by the menu because there were so many options that sounded good. My friend ended up taking the lead on ordering, and we definitely ordered with our eyes because it turned out to be way too much food for just the two of us. We got the salmon spinach cream sauce udon, crispy onigiri bites, edamame, chicken karaage, and the salmon ikura seiro set. Out of everything, the crispy onigiri bites were my personal favorite. The chashu was incredibly flavorful and tender. It melted in your mouth and made each bite so satisfying. The salmon spinach cream sauce udon gave me pasta vibes, which I really enjoyed. The sauce was rich and comforting, and the flavors worked well together. The udon itself was a bit firmer than what I am used to, and not exactly my personal preference, but it was still delicious overall and paired nicely with the sauce. Overall, it was a really enjoyable first visit with great food and standout service. I would definitely come back next time with a better sense of portion control.

The Nam Vang came with sliced pork, ground pork, and one prawn in a clean, savory broth--light but flavorful. Thank you to my bro and his fam for treating us out to some Mother's Day noods!!!…read more My bro and his family are massive fans of Kali Noodles + Tea Bar. Even with them moving out to the East Bay, they make periodic drives just to enjoy what KN has to offer. I've had one dining experience here previously and was not impressed. This lead to not returning. Fast forward 2.5 years or so, here I was again. Our large party of 9 arrived at opening hours and the owners were so very welcoming. The restaurant was clean and the condiments were in tip top shape. Our family's order was massive. We started the meal with xiu mai [Vietnamese pork meat balls] and Chinese donut sticks. This then continued with mi do bien, filet mignon and beef ball pho, & a variety of nam vang noodle versions. The great thing about Kali Noodles are the multiple options of noodles they provide. There are a number of combinations that could be made with the 6 offerings. The food was surprisingly really good- so much better than what my first visit was. The bowls were presented neatly but plated in a way where the large chunks of lettuce made the bowls seem a lot more fuller that it really was. The noodle soups also consisted a lot more broth than noodles. Having said that, the egg noodles are really really good!! The restaurant cooks them perfectly- chewy with a slight bite that keeps you wanting more and more. Hu tieu dai was unfortunately too mushy in texture for my liking. 4 stars overall. Customer service from the owners were exceptional. They were attentive to each person's order and were so welcoming. The food was good but maximize the deliciousness by strictly going for the thin egg noodles. You will not be disappointed and this recommendation is coming from a person who typically steers clear of this. I'd happily return.
