    Pork Fried Rice
    Ethan W.

Modestly priced take out only Chinese spot. Got the combination dinner #4 for 2 people, which came out to under $25 after tax, which I consider very reasonable for the amount of food listed. The best thing was the pork fried rice. It has a smoky wok hei flavor which I appreciated, and there was actually a good amount of pork inside in my opinion. Everything else was relatively mediocre. Cashew chicken was mostly celery, and did not stand out in any way. It honestly tasted a little better cold out the fridge as a salad. Sweet and sour chicken was ordinary. They list menu items "barbecue spareribs" and "fresh fried shrimp" as if they would be similar portions as the other dishes, but you get 2 of each (that's 1 per person if you're splitting this with someone). Kind of a hidden underscore to the value of the combination dinners. These items were also just ok. Absolutely no changes are allowed for the items for the combination dinners, which is a little strange to me. Overall I probably won't come here again for takeout Chinese food. Or I'd stick with the fried rice.

This is a nice little spot for Americanized Chinese food to go. You won't be finding anywhere to sit, but if you want some US classics it's a good spot. The Singapore rice noodles are especially good. And don't miss the gigantic egg rolls. If you're looking for something more niche like Hunan/Sichuan/Dim Sum of course this isn't your spot. Or if you want table service. But for to go it's good. Prices are reasonable, I wouldn't say cheap but reasonable. And quantities are good. Parking is also easy as it is in a decent sized strip mall.

This food joint is incredibly chill when it comes to taking my orders. The vintage vibes of this cozy little spot make it feel like home, and the staff is just so welcoming

Great Chinese takeout, their food is priced really well for the portions you get. The place is small since it's pickup only, but they work fast.

This is the place for your to-go/takeout Chinese food! It's located in a small plaza but it does get busy. I suggest ordering ahead of time and by the time you get there, the food is ready! If you don't order ahead of time, I would say a 10-20 minute wait is the norm depending on the amount of food you order. My partner and I got the #3 combination plate for 2 people which includes chicken chow mein, pork fried rice, and sweet and sour pork. The chow mein was my favorite as it tasted savory and sweet with not too much saltiness! The sweet and sour pork has a nice crunch to it and if you want more sauce, there's definitely lots to dip into. For the fried rice, it was not too salty which I prefer. In the end, I didn't feel tired or heavy from the food as it was light. I recommend this place for fast Chinese food or a quick dinner.

You place your order through a QR code, which makes the process quick and easy. This visit, we ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings, Tidu Sliced Beef Pot, and Tianjin Eggplant. The wings are a must-order here. They're always perfectly fried and crispy on the outside while still staying juicy and tender inside. The Tidu Sliced Beef Pot reminded me of a dry hot pot. It had a great mala flavor with a subtle numbing sensation, and the peanuts added a nice crunch and texture to the dish. The Tianjin Eggplant was simple but delicious, with flavorful pork that paired really well with the soft eggplant. Overall, the food here is comforting and satisfying. It's a place I'll definitely keep coming back to.

I was missing some ingredients that were listed and wish it was more customizable but the flavor was on point (especially with the numbing flavor that gives MaLa its signature name). We also had the salted egg chicken wings, I loved how crispy they were. Absolutely the spot to come for late night eats.

Not the same Mayflower that I went to growing up but this place did NOT disappoint…read more We were in the mood for dim sum on the way to the T&T grocery store opening and yelp brought us here. We walked in right at opening to a completely empty dining room. Instead of leaving, we browsed the menu and ordered XLB, pot stickers, jelly fish, and pea sprouts (my personal fav) so glad we didn't leave! The XLB are a nice size, with each precious dumpling cradled in its own foil wrapper for maximum soup retention. The potstickers were full of flavor, packed with protein, delicately wrapped, and had the crispiest, golden bottoms! Jelly fish was fresh and the pea sprouts were a hit! The poor owner answering the phones made sure (in all languages) to inform folks calling in that there were a different May Flower than the other place-felt terrible for her but also understood the importance of differentiating right up front. I can only imagine the number of misorders they have probably dealt with. By the time we were done, the dining room was filled with a mix of what seemed like regulars, locals, large groups of families, small groups of friends... this feels like we stumbled upon a tiny hole in the wall restaurant where everyone who has been before just knows the quality and taste they are going to be getting! Highly recommend you check this place out for a dine in or take out order!

This is one of the handful of American Chinese restaurants that stood the test of time. As is typical of these places, there was an old lady manning the counter and also acting as the server. And as is typical of these places, there was table at the end where they were prepping the fruits and veggies. It's truly remarkable how they are all similar in these ways! We got a couple of dishes and they came out at lightning speed. * Chowmein-3/5- delicious with lots of umami flavor but shockingly greasy. I mean I am used to oily noodles but this one exceeded some limits. *crispy salt and pepper eggplant-3/5- I had a stellar version of this dish at another restaurant in Sunnyvale and was stoked when I saw this on the menu here. Unfortunately it was a poor representation of the dish I loved there. The batter was too much and the dish felt heavy. The hot oil or sauce they had felt old and extremely vinegary as well, I would recommend avoiding it.
