Manual 31. Seafood Egg Noodle Soup / Mì Hải Sản cockroach inside
    Michael M.

I had a very disappointing experience at King Pho on Stevens Creek Boulevard While eating my meal I discovered what appeared to be a cockroach in my food I immediately brought it to the attention of the staff and requested a refund Instead of issuing a refund I was offered a replacement meal which I declined due to the nature of the issue I was concerned about food safety and felt that my complaint was not handled appropriately I also experienced symptoms of illness afterward and sought medical attention Based on my experience I cannot recommend this restaurant I hope management takes customer concerns seriously and addresses any food safety issues to prevent similar incidents from happening to others

Meh. It'll get the job if you're craving pho but there's so many better spots around. The broth comes piping hot and is really tasty, but there's noodles are soggy and break apart. The meat quality is also really mediocre, slightly overcooked, and chewy. We also got the fried wontons which I thought were just okay. Not much flavor and a bit skimpy on the filling. Service is really quick, but otherwise they don't really check up on you or anything throughout. The spot is cozy and smaller in size. Overall, probably wouldn't be back knowing how many amazing pho spots are around here.

Looks like everyone loves this place Service is 5-5 Food 4-5 The restaurant is nice. It's like a home good fill. This is definitely a place that a locals probably come to more likely than not. I'm a huge lover of pho I was happy to try it and it filled my craving If you live local, you should come visit and if you are visiting, you should stop by and try The tempura was so good! Jalapeños are so hot and so good

Shaking Beef/Bò Lúc Lắc + Thai iced tea

I tried their Shaking Beef/Bò Lúc Lắc. The marinade was more soy sauce than something sweet (like oyster sauce) that might characterize the beef for other places. The beef was okay; a few pieces were tender but most not so much and that was the biggest drawback for me. Thai iced tea was rather generic insofar as it tasted like something you would get at any boba tea place and seemed like it was made by the same sort of drink mixing machine; less if a creamy taste than the average. There was only one person in the front of the house when I went (around 2 P.M. on a Sunday), and service was adequate. I don't know if anything was changed in the space when it was a Korean fried chicken place last but the interior looked fine. Maybe the same owners from before, too? This place is ok but if you're willing to drive 10 minutes ftom here...

For a quick eatery place, Pho King is a solid place for a hot bowl of pho! You want pho-king (teehee) fast service with hearty portions and Year 2000's prices? Oh yea! The place is quaint and the tables are semi-stocked with self-service utensils. The server was friendly and spoke English. Tables were clean. Bathrooms are down the hall and keep one eye closed type of thing, but it does the job, if you need it. With 2 bowls of pho for me and my girl, we came out with full happy bellies while spending only about $40 including tax and tip, and we even had leftovers! Next time we will come thirsty too because their large beverage menu looked delicious, and we wanted to try one of their smoothies.

Comforting and flavorful dishes Our order: 42. Grilled Pork Chop Rice Plate Juicy and tender pork. Seasoned very well and flavorful. A1. Vietnamese Fried Egg Rolls Can't go wrong with egg rolls. 28. Egg Noodle Soup Broth was delicious. It's not my favorite egg noodle soup I've had, but it still hit the spot. Service was quick and straightforward. I also like the decor and style inside.

Surprisingly, this place is right next to Burger King. In addition to sharing part of its name with Burger King, the restaurant also shares a restroom. Place is relatively small but seems to be recently refurbished. Menu is typical Vietnamese dishes with pho, vermicelli and rice plates. Most dishes are close to the $20 range as with most places these days. We got - **fried tofu- 3/5- run of the mill and just the regular sweet sauce on the side. The tofu was a bit chewy as well. **basil chicken-3.5/5- good flavor of basil but no other prominent flavors like lemon grass nor was there much heat. Salad served with the plate was fresh though. **side of noodles-3/5- these were just boiled vermicelli noodles without any flavors.

Inside is clean. Pho bowls are pretty big! Meatballs are chewy, not the greatest I've had and I order the meatball pho every where I dine. Spring rolls are superb! The peanut dipping sauce is the winner here. Highly recommend getting these appetizers. Restaurant is attached on side of Burger King inside Lion Market plaza.

OMG, I am deep in my spicy bún bò huế era, and this spot did not disappoint. I ordered a bowl and, omg, I was seriously impressed. I usually rave about the one at Pho Lyfe, but dare I say... this one might just take the crown. The broth had the perfect spicy kick, super rich and flavorful, and for the first time ever, I actually finished the entire bowl (and that never happens). I also grabbed one of their pandan drinks, and it was really refreshing. The place is small but has plenty of seating, and the staff were super quick and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Safe to say, I'm 1000% coming back.

Been here twice so far with both being good, consistent experiences. This location is nearby, fairly new, and not too busy which makes it a convenient spot for quick Vietnamese food fix. I also think it's funny that the name is Pho King and attached to Burger King! Tried both the pho and a rice plate with grilled pork chop and fried egg, which was so yummy! Standard menu and the food is good. Service is quick and the restaurant is very casual.

I've been to this Pho King location several times. They have never disappointed me! The pho here is excellent! They have a wonderful beef broth in their pho! I also love their Spring Rolls! Members of my family also love their rice plate offerings! Their dishes are reasonably priced and they give generous portions! I rank Pho King as the Best Pho in Silicon Valley. Pho King is my favorite and the one that I frequent! They offer consistently excellent quality food, great service and great value! Plus it's closer to where I live! Pho King is a small restaurant, that is clean and well maintained by a friendly, efficient staff!

This location of Pho King is solid. Super clean and modernized inside. Of note, it's attached to the Burger King so don't be confused by the drive-thru. Service is fast and most importantly, the food is was on point. Pho broth was definitely on par with some of the best ones I've had in SoCal. Egg rolls...top notch. - #1 Pho with meatballs. Usually I'm not a fan of meatballs but oddly these were quite good. The broth? Delicious. - Pork Vermicelli with egg rolls. I don't know what it is about their egg rolls but it's crunchy yet flavorful and the meat...juicy (not tough like some others out there). - fyi the water is flavored (nice touch) Pay up front post-meal. Decent amount of parking as Lions market is in the same plaza. Will be back.

The food was good. My bun Bo hue had the right amount of spice and saltiness. The service was nice. We had to trouble the server because the lid on our cup wasn't sealed; she helped us get a new cup. It made a big mess, but she was very nice about it.

The mam tom had a strong flavor (as expected), but it was balanced well and tasted authentic. We also ordered the cha ca La Vong, which came out sizzling and fragrant with plenty of dill and turmeric flavor. Mixing it with the noodles, herbs, and peanuts made for a great combination of textures and flavors. Portions were generous, service was friendly, and the food came out pretty quickly even though the restaurant was busy. It's not always easy to find Vietnamese dishes like these done well in the South Bay, so I was happy to find a spot that delivers. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Despite it being in a big lot, parking still took a while to find. Thankfully, we had thankfully just beat the lunch rush and not had to wait longer than 10 minutes for a table. My friend and I shared a Northern spread (Bun Cha Ha Noi) and a Southern style Goat Curry (Banh Mi Cari De). Service was definitely on the slower side that day, but thankfully we were proactive at getting the orders in. The Bun Cha Ha Noi was delicious - pretty much a DIY spring roll - all the fun, all the mess, with none of the clean up other than licking the plates clean. The pork belly was delicious; I was surprised how much I liked it, since I'm not a fan of pork. I devoured numerous rolls, and we also had some extra vermicelli to finish off the rest of the protein. This single meal was definitely more than enough for two! The Banh Mi Cari De (goat curry) was unfortunately quite the opposite. The goat was cooked very well - tough, gamy, and difficult to eat. There were probably six pieces in total, our first was tender, our second had bone, a little harder to chew, and the last was best compared to rubber. The curry was a bit watery, which made the banh mi soggy when dipped in. This was probably an adventurous try, but not a dish I'd ever consider ordering again.

It's a grilled tumeric fish dish that packs a ton of flavor, and you add noodles and herbs to make a delish spring roll (or in my case a fat burrito). It comes out on a sizzling plate so you have to let it cook a bit to render the onions and dill to get that perfect texture. The sauce might be a bit fishy to some, but it's what ties the bite together! It's def an acquired taste, but if you are open to trying new things, please come try this speciality dish. Tip: on Wednesdays, this dish is only $28, whereas the OG price is around $36. The fried rice here was surprisingly super flavorful! You can taste the separate grains (which is when you know the cook on the rice is good) and the salt levels were top tier. If you can't find parking in that plaza, there's more parking across the road where the Target is. After spending about ten minutes on the written wait-list, our names were called. It's definitely a little easier communicating with much of the staff if you speak Vietnamese, and I find that waiting right outside the restaurant is best because they default to calling your name from the door once it's your turn. The interior is crammed with tables; the atmosphere feels busy and warm. There is a single room women's bathroom and men's bathroom in the back as well. The decor leans toward being classic more than trendy, which I liked. The menu is pretty big, offering a variety of items ranging from mainstream Vietnamese options to ones I don't encounter as often. I recommend eating family-style for many of these dishes, including the Bún Chả Cá Lã Vọng, which I enjoyed with my partner. The prices are pretty average, and their portions are generous. That said, they are cash or Zelle only. There is an ATM that you can use if you forget to bring cash, but this is still something to keep in mind. Overall, I can definitely see myself coming back. I wish I had the stomach capacity to try more of their dishes at once, and I 100% recommend that anyone give this place a shot.

The appetizers were all good and definitely satisfied my craving for Hue-style snacks. Unfortunately, the Bun Bo Hue was disappointing. The broth had a strange flavor and was missing the rich, hearty depth that makes Bun Bo Hue so comforting and memorable. I honestly found it surprising that a restaurant specializing in Hue cuisine would miss the mark on one of its most iconic dishes. Another thing I noticed was that the vermicelli noodles were broken into many small pieces, which made me feel like they weren't particularly fresh. It definitely affected the overall eating experience. Before leaving, I also ordered a banh canh to go. That ended up being really good, though I personally wasn't a fan of the fresh-cut noodles. By the time I got home, they had expanded quite a bit in the broth and became softer than I prefer. Overall, I enjoyed everything except the Bun Bo Hue. The appetizers were solid, the banh canh was tasty, and I'd come back for those items. However, the Bun Bo Hue is one dish I probably won't order again.

The standout dish was the egg rolls. They arrived hot, golden brown, and perfectly crisp, with a satisfying crunch and a flavorful filling that made them the best part of the meal. The food, however, wasn't the reason for my rating. The restaurant's cleanliness left me concerned. I noticed cobwebs that appeared to have been hanging in place for a long time, along with dirt and grime collecting in corners throughout the dining room. Even the menus felt sticky, with a visible film of grease and small food particles still clinging to them. The faded print and worn condition made them look as though they hadn't been replaced in years. Those details created an impression of neglect that made it difficult to relax and enjoy the meal. With a thorough deep cleaning and some updated menus, this restaurant could create a much more welcoming dining experience. Until then, the cleanliness issues overshadow what was otherwise an average meal.
