Menu showing options and NO MENTION OF SAUCES OR GLAZES

We came here because Vons Chicken on Branham Lane Closed. The menu here offers Fried Chicken. No Crunch Chicken like the other Vons locations. Also, the menu Clearly Does Not Mention Any Sauce for the fried chicken. (See photos) And the cashier did not mention any sauce. But the Fried Chicken was coated in a glaze/sauce which is not at all what we wanted or expected. It tasted fine but I would not order it again. The cashier did not understand why the sauce missing from the menu is a problem. The store was clean. The service was otherwise nice. But this is not the Vons like the other locations.

Crispy Fried Chicken (Full) wings only!

This location, specifically, is consistent with their crispy fried chicken we often order for pick up to take home for dinner for those nights we don't feel like cooking! The consistency is what keeps us coming back and service too! It is always a pleasure when every worker we've dealt with has a smile on their face upon entering the establishment. The ambiance is upbeat with music bumpin all the time! The dining area is always clean. Terry is always a pleasure and very friendly too! You won't be disappointed!

Let me start off by saying I love me some fried chicken! We ordered the soy garlic glaze with fried chicken and let me tell you the flavoring is amazing! The chicken was fresh crunchy fully cooked and the flavors were 10 out of 10. We went with a mild sauce and it was perfect. The service was great and the restaurant was very clean and they were very fast! Will definitely be coming back here again. I highly recommend trying their food.

We love the padek flavor chicken and the honey butter fries!

We love Vons and are so glad they opened one in Saratoga!! The chicken was so good and the honey butter fries are really addicting. Great and friendly service, and there's seating for about 22 people inside and 12 outside. They were also so sweet and gave our kids balloons during their grand opening!

I love the pickled daikon!

I'm not sure why I haven't reviewed this place yet - but here goes. I've been ordering from Vons Chicken for at least a couple of years and this is my favorite location. It's on the way from work when I go home, so it's also a convenient location as well. I usually order ahead and it's ready when I get there (10-20 mins, depending on which chicken I order). I've tried most of the flavors and my favorite is the spicy yangnyum - it has a good amount of heat, but it's not overpowering. I also enjoy the fries - cheddar, honey butter and sweet potato fries. I usually go for extra crispy and every single flavor has been great. I love how the flavor is infused into the chicken and every bite is delicious. The fries could be crispier, but that's my preference - they are good as is. Service has always been quick and friendly when I've picked up my order. I've never ate in the restaurant, but it seems like a good place to chat and hang out. Every time I've been here - people are sitting around and seem to be enjoying their meals. There is quiet music playing and plenty of seating available. Everything also looks very clean and calm.

Really delicious & yummy chicken here! Vons doesn't fail me when it comes to their crispy chicken. For this location specifically, sometimes it does feel like it's hidden, due to it being in the same plaza as Mitsuwa & Kinokuniya, just on the other side. But I think it's worth the visit, especially when you're crazing some small munchies. The service I got with my friend was super sweet, the staff were very nice. There is parking right in front of their location & the restroom was kept clean too.

Grabbed takeout lunch from Von's Chicken in Saratoga and it definitely hit the spot! We ordered the Paldak Chicken--the one topped with green onions--and it was delicious. The chicken was crispy and flavorful, and the generous layer of fresh green onions added a nice kick while making it feel just a little bit healthier (gotta love getting your veggies in, right? ). Service was great too! The staff was super helpful and answered all our questions with patience and a smile, even though we were ordering to-go. Overall, tasty food, friendly service, and a smooth pickup process. Will definitely be back to try more!

Our order came out within 15 minutes after the kiosk order and everything thing was hot. Fries chickens were crispy. Ttokboggi was good as expected but having it together with the fries chicken balanced the fried food. Glad we did not add French fries. The place was not crowded at all and so it was a nice experience.

Crispy wings and legs! Von's Saratoga! For great fried chicken, tasty varieties, very friendly and helpful customer service! Thank you!

Showing off the food and the three finger gloves that make dining a beezeeee and not messy!

Perfect stop for a cold and windy day where you need some good food to warm you up. We had the crispy fried boneless chicken, the mulmandu (potstickers) and some sweet potato fries. Yoooo. Deliciousness, and the three finger gloves, this place provides amazing service. The ambiance is chill and welcoming.

Crispy Yangnyeom (Lunch Special)

- Chicken is freshly cooked, not refried or left cold in the warmer. It was very juicy and crispy. - Fries are also freshly prepared, very hot and crispy, fluffy. - I asked for Mild. And it really is mild, which is great. I got annoyed with other Korean fried chicken places when their mild was still too spicy - The restaurant is very clean, neatly organized. The amount of food I got for their lunch special for 12.99 is really amazing. I would visit again with friends next time.

Great chicken, and rarely ever busy. The honey butter wings are a must try! Ordered over the phone for pick up and it was super quick and easy. You could also order online or on the kiosk inside. Took barely any time for the order to be ready and it tasted fresh. The pickled radish also tasted good and did not stink too much (unlike some other places). Wished the honey butter seasoning was tossed more evenly as I would've preferred it to be coated on all sides vs just the top even though it was a generous portion of seasoning.

The cutest note from the Vons Chicken staff and the best way to end the week. I've been ordering from here for a while now, and as a Korean, I love me some KFC. Lately nothing's really been hitting the spot... until my husband and I found this place in Saratoga! Their fried chicken is always perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I know I sound like a commercial, but I mean it. The service is always great and the quality of the food is always consistent. Plus, they're right next to Mitsuwa and other fun spots, so whenever we're craving KFC, this is our go-to. Would recommend 10/10.

The cheese balls at Vons are really good. They are a little bit sweet making them the perfect snack after a long day.

This doesn't even include the banchan and the free potstickers they gave us... Which leads me to the service!! The owner/manager lady is so sweet and always greets with a smile. BigSpoon is a Korean restaurant on Alum Rock's/East Side's White and McKee, an area I don't go to…read morethat often. The reason why I came over here fairly recently was because I visited cousins and cousin in law that live near to give them Valkyries shirts and other shirts they'll send to the Philippines in over a month, and since they plan to be sending clothes over while telling me about the place, I gave them my Kate Martin and Kaitlyn Chen jerseys for the trouble as I needed to make room for my Veronica Burton jersey, which I wore when I met up with them, and my upcoming violet Gabby Williams one. (Go Valks!) The noteworthy parts the place has are the real good amount of banchan dishes, bibimbap and the short rib, the spicy one in particular. While I probably will not visit the place again anytime soon, at least I can keep this place in mind if I want Korean food without driving to Santa Clara. There's plenty of parking behind the spot. As you come in, the place looks simple, but it works. You have the adorable ajumma/ajumni to take your order. The stuff I ordered. I had water, banana milk and kimchi fried rice. Since I was the only one that had more than 1 drink, I told my cousins and cousin in law the banana milk, and they did bring up how on occasion, you see the drink in K-dramas. Of course, we laughed on how my parents never got into K-dramas and while I'm at it, Filipino dramas. Oh well. Oh, there's no doubt the food is good, and the place is too legit (to quit) as I did hear Korean from a different table. As I typed up, there are plenty of banchan dishes. Not Los Angeles amount of banchan dishes, but there are plenty of banchan dishes never the less. The kimchi fried rice dish may be simple, but it does give off that homey feel. Can't forget how Big actually is affordable, the big reason why my cousins and cousin in law like the place so much. The reason why the place doesn't get a perfect score. The place would have received a perfect score if, the major matter I remember here, the place has mul naengmyun (my favorite Korean dish). Originally, I wanted Japanese ramen before my cousins mentioned this place, and I was ready to pivot to having mul naengmyun, but I was told that the place doesn't carry the noodle dish. (Being a very good and logical dish to eat for at the very least half of the year in a city like here San Jose is the reason why of all of the Korean dishes, I like mul naengmyun the most.) There probably is one or two minor flaws I already forgot, but the lack of mul naengmyun is the dead on reason why I don't give the place a perfect score. On a side note, it's nice that I told the group what banana milk and mul naengmyun are, and by doing so, they learn something new regarding eating at Korean spots just in case. BigSpoon is a good spot. While it may not be as iconic as the places in Santa Clara, it is a good spot never the less. It does a good job at being a Korean spot for an area that is more so known for Mexican food. If you live on the east side, head on over here because the place should get your attention. +/BigSpoon is brilliant and spiffy because it has a terrific combination of good simple food, affordability and wonderful service. -/If only the place also has mul naengmyun.

I'm glad I did and was definitely delighted by the experience. Hot Stone Bibimbap 5/5: There was a review on Yelp saying that there was no crunchy rice at the bottom and that it was bland. As a fellow Korean, let me give you some advice. Wait a few minutes and let the rice cook more because the stone bowl is still hot. lift up the bottom until you see crunchy bits and then you could start mixing. Excellent mix of seasoned vegetables and rice. They give you the gochujang bottle sauce on the side. you can adjust it to your level. Soon Tofu Soup 5/5. I've had a lot of tofu soup of what I like about this one is that it had a good balance of tofu, kimchi was not super sour like some restaurants and they give you an egg on the side. Very clean finish. Banchan 5/5: The highlight for me was the banchan. I went with a very picky eater friend and she really loved the kimchi ,the cucumber kimchi ,the fish cakes, japchae. They put a lot of effort into making the banchan - which I recognize right away. They also fill up if you run out and the dishes are larger than normal restaurants. Amazing. You read my mind. Interior 4/5: It is a smaller, more intimate seating.( about 25-30 people) . It still has the vibes of of a Korean eatery with K-pop music playing on the TV screen, wooden benches and chairs. You'll have to wait a bit if you go during peak hours and parking is a bit difficult. I suggest going within the first hour they open up when there's less crowds.

He told me it would take about 15-20 minutes, and by the time we got there around the 15 minute mark, everything was already ready to go. The soup was SO good. Plenty of tofu and a generous amount of beef. I also loved all the sides they included along with a bowl of rice. Every side dish was delicious, but the kimchi especially stood out. Honestly some of the best kimchi I've had in a long time. The portion was enough for both my daughter and I to share, though that's probably because we're both sick and couldn't eat too much. We're definitely looking forward to ordering from here again. Would love to try the seafood pancake and some of their other dishes next time!

We waited until 5:20 and they still weren't serving, so we ended up leaving. Our most recent visit was the last straw. They only offered two types of banchan (not even kimchi), and they were out of all dishes that included meat or beef. It was surprising for a Korean restaurant to not have Korean BBQ or short ribs available. My seafood tofu soup barely had any seafood, and I had to point out to the waiter that there was no shrimp at all. He later returned with a cheap frozen seafood mix and said they use a seafood mix, which was disappointing considering the higher quality seafood they used to serve (including head-on shrimp). They also did not serve the usual purple rice this time -- instead we were given dry white rice that seemed reheated. There was only one server handling all the tables and cleaning, so service was slow. It's disappointing because the quality used to be much better.
