If you're looking for bang for your buck, look no further! This place is seriously a hidden gem: very fresh and all you can eat. The restaurant is a little dated but very clean. The owner, who is usually there, is very nice and has good suggestions on the toppings. A few things to note: go very easy on the soy and chili sauce, and wait a few minutes after you get your bowl: your food will be insanely hot.

Location: near Santa Clara, on El Camino Real Parking: small strip mall has a handful of spaces otherwise its street parking Hours: open for lunch for about 3 hrs, then they close. Reopen for dinner about 3hrs. Check before you go because it's different on certain days Price: $25.99 dinner or weekends. $21.99 weekdays You are allowed 2 trips of 2 bowls each, but if you don't finish your food, you get charged $10 (and get a free to go box), this is to discourage wastage. If you've never gone to a similar place, all the meats are frozen thinly sliced (beef, chicken, pork, or lamb. Shrimp is upcharge $7.99/10pc. Put the meats in the bowl, smash them down, add noodles if you want. In second bowl add all your veggies. Go to the back side and make your custom sauce, or use their recipe which is posted (vinegar, garlic, soy sauce, ginger etc). You then give it to the guys who cook everything on a huge hot grill and return your food into one big bowl. You can add more seasonings after they finish cooking like Teri sauce, curry powder, chili paste etc. I really like this concept, it's customized stir fry which you could totally do at home yourself but you'd have to buy all the different ingredients.

We love this place! The service is outstanding. We always go here to celebrate someone's birthday or a special occasion. It's fun to pick your own items and have them cook everything for you. I love noodles but I try to stay away from them these days so I like that I can simply get a bowl of meat and a bowl of veggies to make a delicious, healthy stir fry. This last visit I used their sauce recipe hanging up on the wall and it worked perfectly. My dish was perfectly seasoned and tasty. It's probably not worth coming if you're only getting one go-through especially if you're not getting noodles like me because it's a bit pricey in that regard. But most of the people in our group went through for a second time and everyone had noodles so they got their money's worth. It would be great if they had a soda fountain machine and drinks were included in the price. But that's okay. We will still continue to visit.

Su's Mongolian bbq was tasty! Lot's of fresh vegetables! Broccoli, mushrooms, onions, carrots and more. Many meat options and you can pay an up charge for shrimp. I enjoyed my bowl. They also offer many different sodas for an up charge too. Staff was very friendly and warm.

My 2 bowls, ready for the cook!

Good food and customer services. Parking lot is shared with other business you may need to park on the street. The AYCE is great but you can go two trips. I definitely go back and try again.

The funny thing about trying to review Mongolian BBQ restaurants is that if you don't like the food, it's honestly on you. You pick every item that goes into your dish, down to the exact ratio of different liquids in the sauce so if you are unhappy with your final product, you only have yourself to blame. With that in mind, this review will focus less on the food and more on the other aspects that combine to form the overall dining experience. To begin, Su's Mongolian BBQ has all the charm of an industrial kitchen, which is to say not a lot. The sterile, undecorated interior pairs with the harsh fluorescent lights and imposing steel refrigerators to send a message that while you may be allowed here, you are not necessarily welcomed. The ingredient station where you build your bowl is incredibly small, so small that on first glance I thought I must be missing something. As a result, the diversity of ingredients is pretty limited but they do hit all the must-haves of Mongolian BBQ. It's not all you can eat, but rather all you can grab in two trips through the line. It doesn't make much of a difference though because if you are strategic about it you can fit quite a lot of food in one trip. You would probably be hard-pressed to find someone who could eat two full bowls that had been filled to the max. Most people will probably be satisfied with just a single trip through the line, but at that point you feel like you are leaving money on the table, and the $22 lunch suddenly feels like less of a deal. If you are a person whose stomach knows no bounds you are going to get your money's worth here but if you aren't, it's a little tougher to feel good about the price you are paying. In the end while the food was serviceable and I wouldn't resist coming here again, the lacking atmosphere and minimal selection will probably keep this from being my go-to spot for Mongolian BBQ.

I've been here a handful of times with my partner, and it's easily one of the best Mongolian barbecue spots I've had in a while. It's a family-owned restaurant, and they also have another location (MP BBQ). Every time we come in, we're greeted with a warm smile and welcoming attitude. When you walk in, you grab a tray and two bowls. You can fill each bowl however you like but I usually do one for noodles and one for toppings. They also have a rice cooker if you prefer rice over noodles. For protein, they offer shrimp, pork, lamb, beef, and chicken. Topping-wise, they've got the basics like carrots, onions, broccoli, pineapple, lettuce, mushrooms, etc. I do wish they had a wider variety of veggies tho. I've even suggested to the owner that baby corn or bell peppers (green, red, or both) would be great additions. Even with a somewhat limited topping selection, they really make up for it with their sauces and seasonings. You can truly customize the flavor of your plate however you want. One standout for me is the liquid sugar. It's just something I haven't seen at other Mongolian BBQ spots. It adds sweetness and depth of flavor and it honestly helps balance out the soy sauce (if you add soy sauce). Overall, it's a spot we keep coming back to, and for good reason. Something to mention is that if you have leftovers, you can get a to-go box for a dollar. They do kind of act like a buffet (I think they were once running it like a buffet before COVID).

Q it Yourself Asian and woman-owned OG restaurant that's been operating for nearly 45 years (I hope I remembered that correctly) along the foodie trail of the King's Highway serving up "Mongolian" BBQ. For those unfamiliar with the concept of "Mongolian" BBQ, it's essentially Tappenyaki (think Benihana) light. The one big difference is *you*, the consumer, get to choose the meats, vegs, noodless, and sauces in an á la carte buffet-style smorgasbord, where you're given two bowls to fill up to your hearts content. After which, one hands off their concoction over to a trained chef who slaves away over a ripping hot 5-600°F(!) grill and combine all your vittles into one tasty meal. The Good: *Vegan and vegetarian options *Great place for groups *Super friendly service *Beer & wine *Soft serve ice cream comes with your meal *Great value at $25/dinner ($22/lunch) *Oodles of noodles! *Rice option for the gluten-free crowd *Lots of spicy sauce options for us chili heads The Meh: *No outdoor seating *Location and décor ain't exactly going to blow you away. The Ugly: *Very small shared lot, but there is street parking, as well. Conclusion: I mean, is it the greatest meal you'll ever have? Probably not. But is the food damn tasty? Yes. Couple that with the fun atmosphere of dinner and a show, and you've got yourself a winner.

    Mongolian BBQ!

AYCE Mongolian, what more needs to be said! Spartan interior, but clean and efficient staff. Great choices. Good food. Easy parking. One of the "hole in the wall" places. I highly recommend if you want Mogolian. Even have soft serve ice cream for dessert!

    Are they open on Sunday?

    No, they aren't unfortunately.

WHAT AYCE Indian food from northern and southern India: chicken, fish, lamb, vegan, appetizers, desserts (plural!). Delicious! We tried stuff that we might never order in a regular Indian restaurant. The buffet is on the massive side. Northern, Southern and probably a couple other regions of Indian food. It's rare I get a Indian buffet with so many options. Was happy sambar was available, medu vada, idli's. But also tried out some dishes never heard of. Upon seating we were brought both naan and dosa. Coconut and tamarind chutney was a nice surprise also. Chicken option and fish were done well. I can't remember exactly what recipe as tried a lil taste of many, but the point is they cook their meat and fish well with great flavor balance. There were a handful of goat options also. Never had a chickpea salad like they offered nor bitter gourd pickle! Loved that chickpea salad. As for the bitter gourd pickle, it was a good pickle recipe but if familiar with bitter gourd, it was 'unique'. Too full for dessert but it does exist. It's on the keeper list.
