After watching a ig post, I wanted to try it out. Price was really inexpensive at $20.99 for ayce. They don't have sashimi at that price. Lots of selection, spicy spareribs, chicken wings and clams were standout items. Staff were very attentive and picked up our plates promptly. The restaurant was a bit dated but made up for value. I definitely would come back if I'm in the area

Food was great, super crowded. When we arrived the wait was out the door. People posted in the front, there was no room to sit in the lobby. They gave us a number to wait for our party of 11. Wait was about 30mins. Once seated, we placed our order for drinks and started digging in. I personally love seafood- went straight for that, it surely didn't disappoint. Everything cool besides when it came to our refills. Server looked a bit annoyed when we asked for refills. Alright with busting plates when they seen it stacked. But other than that no biggie. Place is eat and hit it, as in get out of there quickly cause they want to seat the next party as quickly as possible. We'd definitely come back, just hope to get a different server next time around because of the lack of sourness when it came to our refills.

My brother treated my mom and I for the Mother's Day all-you-can eat buffet. Without tip, the cost was a little over $120. All of us chose our favorite foods, mom had her shellfish, my brother had raw oysters and sushi, I had sushi, squid rings and veggies. It was super crowded, we waited for about one hour. This is the go-to place for AYCE, especially if you're a super big eater. As big as I am, there were lots of ladies that were actually heavier, LOL. The wait staff are super nice and hard working. It's somewhat loud, but you can have a comfortable conversation during your meal. Families took their moms here for Mother's Day, so it's a popular place. The food is fresh and delicious, and there were tons of people who chowed down several plates. I stuck with two full plates and was quite comfortable after the meal. Try this buffet with your family or friends when you are super hungry, you definitely won't be disappointed!

This was an ok buffet. Lots of parking but mostly compact spaces and a few larger spaces along the perimeter. Food was just ok, but there's plenty and they always refill. Friendly and fast staff.

Among the buffet options in Silicon Valley, Milpitas Buffet stands as an old establishment. The décor shows its age, but the operation team runs it with notable efficiency and consistency. Seafood - The Core Highlights * Oysters: Fresh, plump, and clean-tasting with no off-flavors -- pure briny sweetness. * Snow Crab Legs: Simply steamed, almost no seasoning, and most importantly, none of that long-frozen "freezer taste." For a buffet, this is rare quality. * Crawfish: Also steamed, carrying natural sweetness and firm texture, comparable to what I've had at dedicated seafood spots. These three items define my impression. If your goal is "all-you-can-eat seafood," this is easily one of the best values in the Bay Area. Hot Dishes and Other Stations * Wide variety, mostly American-Chinese fusion -- familiar flavors, but nothing extraordinary. * Sushi and desserts are plentiful, but overall quite average. * Noteworthy: all hot dishes are served at a truly proper temperature. The food is actually hot when you take it, which is surprisingly rare in buffets. Credit to the team for maintaining quality control. Service & Operations * Staff are friendly, quick to clear tables, and efficient in refilling stations. * Buffet trays remain full; there's almost no waiting. * The management clearly emphasizes smooth flow and consistency. Conclusion At around $34.99 per person for dinner, here's my verdict: * If you come for oysters, snow crab legs, and crawfish -- it's a solid 5-star seafood feast. * Factoring in the rest of the spread, which is decent but unremarkable, my overall rating lands at 4/5 stars. This is a buffet I will return to -- but with a very clear mission: seafood only. -- Dr. C Only writing for what truly deserves 5 stars.

We came on a weekend to Milpitas Buffet because it was one of those days that we just wanted an old school buffet so here we were. The line outside and inside were crowded and there were a lot of people. The ambiance was mediocre although the chair was very comfortable. Now, let's get into the juicy part of the review, FOOD! If you are a fan of Chinese food or just anything cooked, I think you'll be surprised at how decent they are. I get it, people flame this place for not having the best food around but then let's get real, the price is extremely low for a buffet and you really get what you pay for. We did have some California roll and a piece or two of sushi, let's just say that I would recommend sticking to the cooked food. The selection of fruits are decent, the desert was okay, but they do provide frozen yogurt which is nice. Drinks are extra, so do keep that in mind if you do check this place out. 3 out of 5 in my book. Not the best, but let's say that I may come back if an ich comes around for Chinese buffet again. Would I recommend it? I think I can if you put in the perspective to the food you get on how much you're paying. You won't be blown away by any food but you'll get more than enough for what you were originally gonna eat.

4 stars....I mean, it's just a Chinese buffet, right? While the options are not that extraordinary, there are a few factors that I took in This is the first Chinese buffet, during a business hour lunch run even, where an employee asked how everything was. I barely sat down, and ge was treating me like he was a waiter. Oh, and prompt refills, too. I may be biased also because, due to wife's temporary diet restricts, were on a low fiber diet. Bur here....there were a lot of veggies...and cooked well. Eggplant was delicious, hot and sour soup was good, and all the standard fair at a Chinese buffet was nice and hot (except the buffalo wings....maybe stay away from those). It's a little pricey, but maybe I'm simply used to non-Bay Area prices. Ample amounts of sushi, too (not allowed to eat raw food, but you do). For a good buffet lunch, I'm sure you'll enjoy this place.

These look a little squishy for my conservative taste.

We always go to Tomi Buffet for AYCE in San Jose. When I am in Washington, my family and I always go to Feast Buffet. It is like a tradition. When Theresa invited me to celebrate her birthday on Monday at CA Milpitas Buffet, I was excited to try something different. I was so eager that I arrived early and waited for almost an hour for the rest of our party to arrive to the restaurant. I am going to think twice about being punctual to a Vietnamese lunch date next time. The host was very nice and actually seated me in a cozy booth even though I was the only one from our party present. I stood near the bathroom, charging my phone so I can look out for the tall American man with white hair. His name is Paul who is Theresa's husband. This is a Chinese buffet but there was a good mix of people having lunch on Martin Luther's King Birthday. Paul is over 6'3" stood out because most of the people eating here were Asian like me. The sushi selection was very limited but who cares about the lack of rolls when the selection of hot foods was amazing! I am so over eating raw salmon with parasites anyways. They had steamed chicken feet and teriyaki chicken which is also on my blacklist... My body is a temple and I can't be digesting potential 3D printed Campbell soup chicken that might be infected with some undiagnosed coughing bird flu virus. Don't laugh but I want to remind you that undercooked pork has tapeworms and roundworms. At this rate, I am probably going to have to start cooking at home again. I am like the mother hen that doesn't allow her rooster or her chicks to consume poison on Saturdays. They are never going to be able to order Vietnamese shredded chicken sandwich and deep fried chicken tenders at Chili's again. This is why Milpitas Buffet is so perfect for me. It is filled with fresh seafood with the best Alaskan steamed legs and salted pepper crab. The fresh crustacean meat was plump and solid. They even had cooked and fresh oysters at the salad bar. I passed on their squishy oysters and will save my stomach for Whole Foods $1 oysters Amazon Prime Specials on Fridays. My purpose of my dietary restrictions is to preserve my health. I was a very good girl and ate everything that I served myself. Since I get reminded every weekend that there are starving children in Africa, I only got one piece of food from trays that looked good to me. Before I know it, my plates were filled like I was suffering from a bad case of gluttony. I definitely got my money's worth which was $33.99. This is their price for dinners and holidays. It was the same price for lunch and dinner (all day) since it was MLK Holiday. They don't close after lunch but the price per person does increase at 3:15pm on regular days. Milpitas Buffet offers senior discounts, with reports varying slightly but generally around $2 off for seniors or potentially a 10% discount, though it's always best to confirm the current offer directly with the restaurant as deals can change, especially given reports of recent price increases. The senior discount is around $2 off or 10% for seniors. Confirmation: Prices and discounts can change, so it's wise to call ahead or check at the restaurant. I am not sure who was really a senior (someone who is 65 years or older) at our table but they did not check ID since Paul's hair is all white. Theresa was ready to pull out her CA driver's license to prove that it was her birthday but our waitress said that we needed 5 people to be present in order for her to get the birthday meal for free. Apparently, their website is down so I can't verify free birthday meal guideline. Theresa was very disappointed because at Tomi Buffet you get a free meal if you are accompanied by only 2 paying adults. At least they gave her a lit chocolate piece of cake with some cherries on it and played the Happy Birthday song on the sound system. During lunch I found out that most people don't like to be stalked, especially the birthday girl. It is funny to me because the lady just wants to be her new best friend at church. Theresa has no idea what it would be like to be really harassed 24 hours a day. My best advice to her, "Don't sweat the small stuff; enjoy your retirement." My advice to you, go get some delicious Asian food at CA Milpitas Buffet with your little kids on the weekdays for lunch when the prices are the lowest at $20.99. Children under 3 years old eat for free. When I was scooping up the lychee and steamed taro buns for dessert, I was making a mental note to bring Superman and the rest of the kids here. They are going to LOVE this place. The girls wanted to come here last night but I told Everly that I already had the buffet for lunch. I am going to make them bike here from San Jose so they will eat like sinners.

Great buffet in San Jose/Milpitas area! Wide variety, tasty food, and friendly, attentive staff. Highly recommend!

Look this isn't a Vegas buffet. It's no frills and you get what you pay for. Come here for the crab legs and it's worthwhile. If you aren't a seafood person then it's not worth your money to come here. Dinner is now $34.99 per person. They have a limited sushi bar, variety of Chinese hot dishes, and Mongolian bbq station that's made to order. The hot food is very decent - love the walnut shrimp and chicken wings. There is soft serve ice cream too. If you're into buffets then this place is bang for your buck and good for groups.

Date: Friday, September 20th, 2024 Time: around 6:45pm Party of: 3 Meal: Dinner *Dinner Buffet ($32.99) x3 *Soft Drink ($3.25) x3 I was craving crawfish. A friend was craving snow crab legs. What has both?! Milpitas Buffet! Luckily there was no wait when we arrived. Two of us arrived first and were seated immediately. Our third patron arrived shortly after. There's a wide variety of seafood here: oysters, clams, shrimp, fish, sushi, etc. And they refill the offerings pretty regularly. Once a fresh tray of crab comes out, there may be a rush, so don't be shy and just go for it! For a buffet, the food was fine. For me, the crab and crawfish were a little bland, so I hit up the sauces to flavor it up: melted butter, hot sauce, lemons, etc. I adore soup, so I tried a few. The hot and sour for me was too sweet. But the seafood one, grab some crab legs and add the meat to the soup. Add a lil white pepper and it's delish. Dessert was a plenty. They also have a soft serve machine. My friend hit up the stir fry station. Those plates are huge, so keep in mind when grabbing your ingredients. For the price and the seafood offerings, not a bad deal at all. Note: They don't have alcohol which was kind of a bummer. REVIEW #3567

Not bad for a Chinese seafood buffet, we had 3 people but we didn't get our money's worth like other people who were stacking their plates. One Latin dude put the whole plate of sushi on his plate. Wow! Sushi wasn't great but I didn't come here for sushi. Chinese food was better than Newark buffet. $20 weekday ($26 tax and tip) per person wasn't bad for lunch, Panda Express is already $12-13.

We skipped the appetizers and were unfortunately told they were already out of Uni, meaning the Matsu bowl wasn't available. We both opted for the Take bowl instead. One major downside for me was the pricing. The bowls are already quite steep, so discovering that you have to pay an additional $4.50 just for the dashi broth felt a bit off-putting. Because of that, we chose to skip the broth altogether. As for the food, the bowl itself was flavorful and the portion size was decent. However, given the price and the massive reputation, it didn't quite meet my expectations and felt a bit underwhelming. I don't think I would return to this location, but it did make me want to travel to Japan to try the original version!

Comes with glass noodles, rice cakes, and thin egg strips * Japchae - Not complimentary here (you have to order it), but it's actually pretty good. * Seafood tofu soup - Just okay, nothing too memorable. * Galbi - Flavorful and reliable--can't go wrong, especially with purple rice. * Mul Naengmyeon - Refreshing and well done. * Seafood pancake - Crispy, not overly oily, and packed with seafood and green onions. * Bibimbap - Loved the crispy rice at the bottom, though the beef portion was a bit small. * Yukgaejang - Decent, but not as rich or flavorful as other spots. Overall, I'd say this place shines most in its banchan variety and comfortable dining space, but the inconsistency in both food and service makes it a bit harder to fully recommend
