Wait was about 30mins. Once seated, we placed our order for drinks and started digging in. I personally love seafood- went straight for that, it surely didn't disappoint. Everything cool besides when it came to our refills. Server looked a bit annoyed when we asked for refills. Alright with busting plates when they seen it stacked. But other than that no biggie. This is the go-to place for AYCE, especially if you're a super big eater. As big as I am, there were lots of ladies that were actually heavier, LOL. The wait staff are super nice and hard working. We always go to Tomi Buffet for AYCE in San Jose. When I am in Washington, my family and I always go to Feast Buffet. It is like a tradition. When Theresa invited me to celebrate her birthday on Monday at CA Milpitas Buffet, I was excited to try something different. My mom really really wanted to go to Milpitas Buffet but I knew the restaurant has bad reviews. But it's one of her favorite places, so I agreed to go and let's just say, I really don't have a reason to go back. The buffet offers a lot of items from seafood, to soups, to different meat dishes, dim sum, desserts, and so much more. However, I thought the quality was not that great. For example, the short ribs and also the bigger ribs were so chewy. Not tender at all. I felt like I was a dog gnawing on a bone and getting nowhere LOL. Also, some of the fried items were very soggy and oily. The crab legs were really dry inside and with all that work cracking the legs open, it's pretty much like a strip of brown meat which doesn't look that appetizing. I'm a big fan of ice cream and I normally finish all of my ice cream from anywhere. However, the soft serve ice cream here tastes like water and not like vanilla at all. I seriously didn't even finish it. One great thing that Milpitas Buffet has is good service which I experienced during the whole time I was there.
