went for dinner today with my mom. it's a saturday so it's quite busy but we got seated pretty quickly. i like the slightly dark ambiance in there, pretty chill and relaxing. our server jonathan was very attentive despite how busy it was. appreciate him for checking up on me and my mom many times and giving us extra napkins. what a sweet guy! the beef tongue was def my favorite, chewy and bouncy, got like 6 plates lol. and their shrimps are very fresh and has a slightly sweet taste to it even without any seasoning. overall a very pleasant experience :D

Great AYCE Japanese style bbq yakiniku! I'm surprised I haven't visited before but will definitely be a regular. My husband and I were looking for a new BBQ spot and found this spot via Yelp. We came in on a Sunday around 5pm and it wasn't too busy. There is plenty of seating inside. We opted for the silver tier, which is their lowest. You scan a QR code and are able to order on your phone which is nice. The menu wasn't too big but there was all the delicious meats and sushi you can get. My husband loved the Wagyu bulgogi. I loved the salmon lovers roll and the black garlic ramen. The portions are small which is perfect so you can try different types of sushi and appetizers. The meats were all good especially for the price. Overall I thought the menu and foods were all great. The sauces they had at the table was good too, ponzu and sweet soy. The service was great. Our server was super nice and refilled our water several times. Meats came out fairly quickly and our table was cleared quickly whenever we had empty plates. The space was clean and the ventilation was awesome. I definitely recommend this spot!

I kept seeing Wagyu Grill AYCE pop up on my Instagram, so I finally decided to give it a try. The ambiance was really nice, and the restaurant had a great vibe. The all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ and sushi definitely did not disappoint. We ordered the Premium Menu, which gives you access to the full selection, and there was a great variety of wagyu meats and sushi to choose from. Everything came out quickly, and the service was excellent throughout the meal. We also had a few Dragon Martinis, and they were delicious. My only complaint is that they were served in plastic cups instead of glassware. It also felt like the drinks weren't as cold as they should have been and were closer to room temperature. Overall, the food and service were excellent, and despite the minor issue with the drinks, I'd definitely come back again.

Atmosphere is modern, it has a nice contemporary feel. Service is okay, they will get their job done. What i like about this place is that they offer both all you can eat kbbq and sushi!! They also have a lot of appetizers and side dishes you can choose from. Their sauce and salad bar has a weird location and setting but thats just me nitpicking. Carpaccios are good, but their sushi is very mediocre - but it will serve its purpose! Meats are nice, my favorite is the beef tongue. Overall, this is one of our goto spots for kbbq because of their japanese inspired offerings.

Salad bar goodies, wagyu, and pork belly on the grill. The popcorn chicken and salmon sashimi.

I gone here for my cousin's graduation lunch celebration. I love going here but it's my kryptonite. If I have shrimp or beef, my eczema gets worse but it's so worth it! That's how much I will sacrifice to eat wagyu. I love how they have sushi and and appetizers are good but the salmon and sashimi though. The popcorn chicken is more breaded and chicken is dry. I had the pork belly and it was too fatty for my taste so I didn't order it again. Edit: I went today with my friends to try their lunch deal. $25 dollars?! Say less. I got to try the wagyu fried rice and wagyu udon. I love it but I usually stick with the meat. I only ate 1/4 of each carbohydrates bowl. The popcorn chicken once again has too much breaded and the gyoza is below average. Still, the sushi, sashimi, and meat are delicious. The pork belly was not fatty as I remember from my last visit. Our servers and hosts were polite and accommodating. I asked to be seated near the salad bar and tv so I can watch the game. It's a new and clean restaurant.

For the price point, Wagyu Grill is a solid choice for Japanese wagyu AYCE. The quality of the meat was the main selling point. The cuts were excellent - not overly marinated or salty, so you could actually taste the natural flavor of the wagyu. We enjoyed the sushi and sashimi selections, which were a nice addition to the meal. The self-serve bar was fairly limited. It offered mostly Korean-style banchan like lettuce, kimchi, pickled cucumbers, and fresh fruit. Would def return and spread the word for anyone craving AYCE BBQ!

Delicious AYCE Wagyu and sushi place! There's three tiers of meat you can choose from. Ordering is all online using a QR code (10 items every 3 minutes), super easy to keep track of because each other is time stamped! There's a salad bar with some assorted fruits and jello as well. The drinks vary between $2.50-$5 but the soft drinks are unlimited refills! Cute little spot in barber lane but parking can get busy! We saw a lot of larger parties as well as parties of 2-3. You can reserve a table ahead of time using yelp if you want!

Let me start off with the positive. Very clean modern looking restaurant. The server was the only reason this place gets 2 star otherwise it would be 1 or 0 star; our server was very sweet to help us grill and throughout kept checking in with us and kept our waters filled. However, as soon as the butter hit the plate, black flakes stuck to it and then transferred all over our meat. When asked, she claimed the hot plate just turns butter black, but as an experienced diner, I know that isn't true. It was burnt debris. She should have just automatically changed our grill. But being the nice non confrontation person my parents taught me to be, after one round of meat with black flakes on it, I had to request a grill change because I'm old and really don't want to increase my odds of getting cancer. The meat itself was mid. We ordered the Gold Tier ($43.95/person). Ironically, the best cut we had was a mistake order brought to our table that wasn't even on our menu, which I assume came from the Premium Tier. If you decide to eat here: -Ask for the fire grill: We were never given a choice, but I overheard it in Chinese being offer a customer near the end of our meal. Ours was electric. (The best would be restaurants that uses binchotan but this is rare) -Avoid Gold: Consider the Premium Tier or the $25 lunch special instead, though I personally won't be back to try them.

Came here with a party of 10. We had 3 grills, which I liked for our bigger size of a party. Ordering on the menu was easy as you do it through your phone and can order every 3 mins. The service was great. They would come out with our food fairly quickly and checked on us. I did had to ask a couple of times for water refill though. But not terrible. On to the food, I love how they had sashimi, rolls, apps, and sides. We got the silver which was australian wagyu. The actual meat was okay. Some seemed a bit too tough and not as tender as I wanted. Some were good, but some were meh. I did really like the black garlic ramen! Also the shrimp is already peeled. Wow. So good.

I came here for the ayce lunch special. They have several options of beef, some chicken, shrimp, pork, sides, sushi rolls, and sashimi to choose from. I liked the Australian wagyu plate, Australian wagyu steak and the Australian Mizuki Sasa. The Mizuki Sasa was the most tender meat from the selection. I quite like the sushi rolls and I loved the Salmon Jalapeño and Salmon Sunomono. They have a self serve bar with kimchi, seaweed, kimchi cucumber, bean sprouts, salad, fruit and a dessert. I think the food wasn't bad for $25. The server was kind and patient. Overall, it was a good experience.

Came here with my friend for Saturday lunch, we arrived at 11:30 when they first opened so we were able to be seated almost immediately. This was my first time, but my friend had been here before so she knew what to do. The menu is again QR code style and you order directly on your phone. As it was AYCE, they do limit 90 minutes and each time we order we could only select 6-8 items (I cannot remember the exact number), and must wait for a few minutes before we can add more. There is a salad bar with fruit and dessert. My friend likes sashimi so she ordered a number of marinated salmon and other sort of raw fish. I was there for the mean so i added some beef. The meat was VERY THINLY sliced, so it cooked very quickly. But as it was very thin, I really could not really enjoy the texture, I felt like I was just eating meat flavored paper... They were so thin I cannot tell if they are really wagyu... but my other experience of wagyu in Asia was that they actually melt in my mouth, but here I still had to chew, despite how thin they were sliced. for that it was only 3 star for me. The service was decent as it was AYCE. The place was hugh and noisy, and by the time we left it was 2/3 packed. There was a hugh bar but since we did not order any mixed drink, not sure how good they are. I was full, but will likely not come back unless there is a strong reason for it.

Good: decently priced AYCE for everything it came with, but will definitely go with the Gold option instead of Premium if I do ever come back Bad: wasn't particularly impressed with the Wagyu Service was prompt and attentive, plates were cleared by anyone who saw an empty plate. Didn't take a million years to get the next round of food either. They limit 10 items per round which is reasonable, just make sure to order once you're half way done to keep the flow. I didn't leave smelling like KBBQ, or at least not as bad as I expected to smell. I know it's not KBBQ but still lol

Super duper affordable AYCE Japanese bbq right in the biggest foodie plaza of Milpitas, so glad to have got a table upon signing up on their waitlist relatively within ETA! The wagyu quality ( especially the bulgolgi style wagyu wow!!) super tender, delicious and fresh. You'll be prompted to order your rounds on a device and EVERYTHING comes out super fast, I swear their staff is in a run club or something. Their sushi sides are also pretty decent too for AYCE, I only wish that the sashimis didn't come with salad everytime because I really just wanted the fish haha. Super high quality almost on par with one of my fave AYCE sushi places in SF!!! Shout out Angeline (I think that's the spelling?) for amazing attentive, quick service!

It is in the general area with Cere Tea and Koi Palace. We arrived around 6PM and were seated immediately. We came for the seafood don and both got the UME with an addition of the ochazuke set. For $26 + 4.5 for the set, I think it's really worth the price and you get a good amount of fresh fish. Each bite felt like I was transported to Japan and eating a Kaisendon. I've been coming here for a long time, and it's one of those places that consistently hits the spot whenever I'm craving good sushi. The In The Sea Roll is a must-order and definitely one of my favorites on the menu. Great combination of flavors and textures, and it's something I find myself ordering every time I visit. Another thing I really appreciate about Sen Dai is their selection. They're one of the few sushi spots around the area that serves umimasu (ocean trout). The flavor profile is like toro. If you see it available, definitely give it a try. It's a nice change from the usual fish options. And if you're feeling something new, ask about their off-menu item: inari nigiri topped with spicy tuna. The sweetness of the inari paired with the spicy tuna is such a good combination. Definitely worth asking for if you want to try something a little different. Overall, Sen Dai is a spot I'm always happy to come back to. I feel like I could have had a better experience, since it seems I went on an off day. FOOD: Fish Katsu (3/5) - First off, I felt that the oil used to fry the katsu was old. I had a strange filmy aftertaste with each bite. I kept dipping the katsu in the different sauces to mask the aftertaste but I stopped eating because I couldn't ignore it anymore. The fish used in fish katsu is cod, I felt like the waitress thought I was dumb for asking that question, even though it's not clarified on the menu. Sorry for asking... :/ It's normal for katsu places in Japan to have huge piles of cabbage so I wasn't surprised. The cabbage added a relief from all the fried fish I was eating. Miso soup was standard with nice big chunks of tofu; the rice was fluffy and light. Chicken Curry Katsu (3/5) - Chicken was juicy and plentiful, but honestly the curry had no taste. It added a that gravy like texture but didn't have that deep, rich curry flavor we think of when it comes to Japanese katsu. Usually at these spots you're asked how spicy you want the curry to be but here it's all mild, with no option to add your own spice. VIBE: Interior is simplistic, almost a little cramped. The tray that the food comes out on takes up the whole table space so don't expect to put anything on the table. It's very loud inside. Hard to have conversations. Also strict no outdoor food/drink policy. We were satisfied with the portions and, and didn't leave hungry, but still desired more from Katsu Gin. I'd love to give this place another try if I'm in the area.

He's lived in Japan, had it there, was forced to eat it here, and were forced to eat the Onigilly onigiri and he actually says that it's not bad and pretty good which is a super rare occurrence. Actually the first time that I've ever seen it happen. I ordered the onigiri to go and was able to enjoy it around 30 minutes after while they were still warm an edible and the nori wasn't too soggy either. Rice went perfect with the protein filling and this was before seeing it get destroyed later. Filling was sauced and seasoned and mixed to perfection, so there was no need for anything to dip it into. I got to try the baked salmon, snow crab (with lemon aioli), spicy tuna poke with krab salad (imitation crab), and the fried purple yam fries. Everything else was sadly impossible to consume later on. LOVED the spicy salmon poke onigiri and my boyfriend did too. Had a good kick and is everything you'd want out of a regular poke bowl but in a smaller portion. Good stuff. I really liked the snow crab too, not too fish and went great with the tangy and creamy lemon aioli. Rich, indulgent taste. Purple yam fries were a nice treat to snack on and wasn't too dry or oily. The baked salmon onigiri was standard and fine. This is a franchise I've only seen in the Bay Area and I don't mind trying more in the future, just with ordering less at any given time to reduce food waste...
