    Came here for shabu and honestly left pretty disappointed. The ice machine was broken the day I visited, so we were stuck drinking warm soda the entire time--which already put a damper on the experience. What made it worse is that there was no effort to make up for the inconvenience. A small discount or even just acknowledging it would've gone a long way, but nothing. The presentation of the vegetables and sauces was also pretty off-putting. Everything looked poorly set up, and the sauce bottles were just left sitting out with no real organization or care. It didn't feel clean or inviting, and it honestly made me not want to grab any of it. Definitely something they should improve. The only redeeming parts of the meal were the broth and the meats--they were actually pretty good and saved the experience from being a complete miss.

    All you can eat shabu shabu tucked away in a small plaza right off 880. Next to it is a sushi spot & liquor store. The service was very nice. Attentive, super friendly, quick with the meat orders and always checking in. Shabu Shabu Kiwami is new. Opened in December 2025, so a lot of the customers coming in including my party were first timers. We moved forward with the $44 kiwami ayce. Comes with the soft drinks, appetizers and deluxe cuts of meat! What set this place apart from the other shabu shabu's we've been to was that they offered lamb! The lamb paired so well with the spicy goma and garlic base soup! The curry udon or curry over rice seemed to be popular too! Super yummy. I wouldn't come here with my little kids but would come back with my older kids! The place is smaller and cozier. There is a veggie bar to the left when you enter that is included in the ayce.

    Plenty parking, very spacious, veggies and and sauce are at the front by the door. You can see how they cut their meat in real time instead of pre cut. Service is good and attentive. Soup can be split up to 3 ways. Tried all the meats but American Wagyu was my favorite ~ Broths: . Garlic Butter Ebi Tonkatsu - savory, subtle garlic . Truffle Sukiyaki - sweet, my favorite one . Pesto Tonkatsu - like straight out of a pesto bottle but lighter and smoother

    Shabu Shabu Kiwami is an AYCE shabu spot with 2 tiers. We usually get the premium one since we love the broths that come with it : pesto tonkatsu, triple garlic tonkatsu & truffle sukiyaki. We usually just get the American Wagyu. They have a veggies and sauce bar. The meat quality is amazing! The service is pretty fast & they get things out quickly. They also refill the broth with the appropriate broths instead of using water. Parking: there's a small lot but you should be able to find parking.

    One of the most relatable cravings during fluffy season? Shabu and hot pot! Not only do you get a free facial but it keeps you warm, it's satisfying, and it can accommodate many dietary restrictions, even the picky vegan friend who usually has to eat ice chips on your outings. Shabu/hot pot can get $$$$ with a la cart (Haidilao) and even with AYCE (when A5 is involved) so Shabu Shabu Kiwami is a good compromise. Shabu Shabu Kiwami opened in December 2025 (formerly Jiuding) and supposedly it's from a relative of Taichi in Santa Clara. Walk-in only, no rezzies but there's a virtual waitlist on yelp. It was about a 30 minute wait on a Saturday evening. M E N U Looks like they took some inspiration from Mikaya but kept it at two affordable tiers with similar apps. - Classic: $26 pp Lunch, $36 pp Dinner Access to classic broths (i.e. dashi, miso, sukiyaki, etc) + meats: beef toro, pork collar, beef chuck, and chicken. - Kiwami: $34 pp lunch, $44 pp dinner Access to more unique broths (i.e. ebi tonkotsu, pesto tonkotsu, truffle sukiyaki, etc + all meats including premium cuts (i.e. American + Australian Wagyu, etc), For both tiers, there's unlimited apps (edamame, fries, karaage, curry don), seafood (fish, shrimp, baby octopus), and rice/udon. Self-serve veggie station: Crown daisy, bok choy, tofu, napa cabbage, wood ear mushroom, enoki, baby corn, kabocha, etc. Sauce station: Sesame, ponzu, garlic, cilantro, green onion, and raw egg. There were several bottled sauces but they were not labeled. Drinks (soda) are not included but free refills. F O O D * Apps: Chicken Karaage Bland chicken morsels with a hella thick batter, served cold. Seems like leftovers from lunch service. * BROTHS - Truffle Sukiyaki: Quite sweet with no truffle flavor. I think they accidentally gave us the classic sukiyaki. - Garlic Butter Ebi Tonkotsu - Ebi Daijingo Tonkotsu, request extra spicy TBH, they both tasted the same (creamy pork bone broth). Extra spicy was not spicy at all. * MEATS Premium: - American Wagyu - Australian Wagyu, M8+ - Kurobuta Berkshire Pork Toro - Australian Lamb Shoulder Classic: - Black Angus Beef Toro - Kurobuta Berkshire Pork Collar - Prime Angus Beef Chuck - Chicken Breast (didn't try) All meats are sliced to order. Fresh, not frozen. Decent quality. I prefer marbled, melt in yo mouff meat so the Australian Wagyu was the fav followed by the American Wagyu, and Australian Lamb. The toro cuts were quite fatty so 1-2 slices were plenty. * SEAFOOD Platter of white fish filet, headless shrimp. and baby octopus. Not frozen. * VEGGIES: Slim pickings as many items needed replenishment. Crown daisy, bok choy, and cabbage were fresh. Kabocha was looking rough...dry with some browning. S E R V I C E Friendly and upbeat. Even tho they were packed, we found food service was prompt. A M B I A N C E Industrial vibes. Their table configuration could be improved, as some tables were very spaced out, while others were so cramped. The hoods seem to be off and/or not functioning as we left smelling like garlic and it lingered. Overall, decent shabu with unique broths not found elsewhere. What stands out is the affordable pricing esp for lunch!

    One thing I forgot to mention is the udon broth. It was so good that I genuinely wish they would add it to the regular broth menu. My top favorites here: - American Wagyu - Australian Wagyu - Triple garlic tonkotsu broth over the garlic butter ebi. Although the sauce bar and the veggie and sides selection could definitely be improved, I come here for the meats. Even though I made a sauce, I barely used it and did not feel like I needed it. The broths pair so well with the meats, and the meat itself is already very flavorful on its own. Honestly, considering the price, quality, and service, this is a place I keep coming back to. I am definitely a repeat customer.

    Came back and the quality of the Wagyu went down :( it was so lean and looks so different from my first visit. Pesto tonkotsu broth was still fire though. Kinda disappointing since I raved about this spot to my friends and brought them here.

    Decided to try on a rainy Sunday evening around 6pm and I'm glad we came early. It was BUSY! TLDR -- good pick for AYCE Shabu. Interior has a mom-and-pop feel with friendly staff. Minimal frills. Good broth that had more flavor than other shabu spots. Good cuts of beef, even in the Classic AYCE menu. Would come back but not sure if I'd try the Deluxe (based on value). I'm a simple Shabu lover that mainly needs good meat, good sesame sauce and Napa cabbage to be happy. I would say if you're used to Chinese style hot pot you might be disappointed by the add ons/veggie selection. The karaage was pretty good, decent fry. They've only been open for a month. I would say it shows when it starts to get busy and in turn gets more chaotic amongst staff. The veggie/sauce bar is kinda odd. You have to down into the bar to get the ingredients. Overall I think it's worth checking out yourself!

    Yummy new AYCE! The meat quality is soooo good for the price and considering its AYCE, just wow. This is the sister store of Taichi in Santa Clara which I also love. They just upped their broth options here which were all unique creations I haven't seen elsewhere. Despite the fresh ingredients and amazing meat quality, I do feel the broth was a bit too salty. We tried the truffle sukiyaki, garlic butter ebi tonkotsu broth, and triple garlic tonkotsu. All were really salty but that is my only complaint. Very clean ambience with attentive workers! Definitely wanna be back! Some of the best AYCE hot pot for the price.

    Great place to try since it puts a Japanese twist to your standard hot pot. There aren't as many choices of proteins, but they do have a good selections of veggies and sauces to keep flavors interesting. They also have a good appetizer selection. The staff were nice and friendly. They came by often to check up on us for any refills of the proteins. The restaurant looks small, but goes deep inside.

    Finally had time to try out this new spot. Most of the reviews were pretty spot on. I would actually give them a 4.5 stars if I could. I thought the American Wagyu and the Australian Wagyu were the two best options. Tried the other beef options and also the pork belly, but it was just OK. The vegetable bar was a little bit underwhelming, but I was not there to eat vegetables anyways! So it was not that big of ideal. The truffle sukiyaki was the best soup broth. The dipping sauces could also be better. Service was good and staff as friendly. Definitely a good spot for AYCE Shabu, especially for the price point.

    Overall... a really affordable all-you-can-eat shabu shabu option in the Bay Area! $34 for lunch on a Saturday is great for some high quality cuts like Australian Wagyu, Pork Toro, and more. The best meat (in my opinion) was the Angus Beef Toro! For broths, I actually really enjoyed the Pesto Tonkatsu! It wasn't super cheesy, and more basil forward. I liked this! Savory and creamy. However, it did get very salty after a while. Definitely add lots of veggies and noodles. The Truffle Sukiyaki was SUPER SWEET on the other hand. Rather than really savory and had some umami, but the truffle oil did not come through. Spicy Goma had a good kick, but nothing important to note. FYI, many of the broths contain fish and shrimp! Veggie bar was pretty sparce... they ran out of enoki mushrooms after 30 minutes of us eatinf unfortunately. Spinach and cabbage was relatively fresh. Only rice and ramen noodles were available carb-wise! Sauce bar was also just okay. Nothing super interesting to note... it was a little under maintained though. My biggest gripe is service, which I don't think were the servers fault. They just seemed understaffed. Our meat came pretty quickly at least. However, we continuously had to ask for water and broth refills. Our table was also REALLY SMALL for 6 people. We all were sharing one burner with three broths, which was cramped.... We also had to ask the waiting staff to fet our plates to make room. I wouldn't recommend this for groups that are more than 3 people.

    3.5 star My friends and I came in on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and it was pretty crowded. We got the AYCE Kiwami. For soup we got Garlic Butter Ebi Tonkatsu, Truffle Sukiyaki, and Triple Garlic Tonkatsu. My personal favorite was the truffle sukiyaki. Wagyu was very tender, and lamb was my second favorite. Chicken Karaage was also pretty good. Service was great, and servers were very attentive. Atmosphere also great, I love that our table was spacious. The sauce bar was a bit limited with only 2 sauces and decent amount of vegetable choices. As you eat, the broth can be filled with impurities--likely due to the seafood and by the end, we had a full bowl.

I used my own eyes and saw the vibe and then went in without checking anything on the internet. And I was very happy that I did. This is a very CHINESE place. I have heard of such hotpot places in China. They cater to the customers very well. The bathroom has toothbrush and toothpaste and other stuff to get you cleaned up after eating hot pot. There are endless appetizers and Chinese desserts, as well as snacks for you to load up (all free!), and there are lots of sauces and whatnot for you before you even order. All self-served. The hot pot broth is very tasty, and you can then order items to put in the hotpot. For those of us who cannot decide, they have combo mushrooms platter so you don't have to choose, and beef offals mixed platter so you get a little bit of everything. The types of items available for hot pot is distinctively Chongqing stuff, so don't get too turned off if you don't see the usual hot pot stuff. It's not the run of mill kind of place. You get a nice booth and you get to refill the broth whenever you want. My favorite are the nice cold mung bean noodles that you would otherwise pay at least $10 to get as a side dish. It's free and endless. This is all you can eat and free. The second favorite thing that I couldn't get enough of is the different sesame balls they served up, all freshly made and incredibly tasty. My absolute third favorite is the various Chinese desserts that are locally found in Sichuan. Again all free. Onto the items we ordered. I really liked the thinly sliced lamb beef and hand cut beef (thicker), as well as mushrooms, veggies and beef offals. You don't have to decide on one thing, love the combo selections and very reasonable in cost. I also ordered pork blood which my parents liked. The price point is medium to low. Comparing to other hot pot restaurants, it's definitely very inexpensive. So I am surprised that they are making money honestly but that made my parents happy as they like a good deal. My parents really enjoyed the ingredients, the process and the endless appetizers and desserts plus local Chinese snacks that you can load up while eating the hot pot (individually packed quail eggs and tofu snacks). The restaurant chain is from China. So they cater to what the new gen Chinese hot pot goers want. Lots of variety, good price points, and a good beginning to end customer oriented process. A slight interesting observation - they have hair ties up front, in case you need to tie up your hair before getting down in business. I eat everywhere in the world because of my job and demanding travel work schedule. I am usually not impressed by food but this place is definitely top notch. I think I ate at least four variety of sesame balls. Yes they are fried, but they are fresh and delicious. It took an hour to get there, but it's totally worth it. Bonus points, made my parents happy in advance of Chinese New Year.

We ordered a big variety of meats, veggies, noodles, and rice for our split pot with a mild Szechuan broth and a tomato broth. They placed everything on a small side table next to us so we could cook and eat at our own pace without feeling rushed. There was also a great self-serve sauce bar with lots of sauces, small snacks, and soups, which added a lot to the experience. Overall, the quality of both the meats and vegetables was really good, and everyone left feeling very full and satisfied. The only downsides were the service and the spice level. It was pretty hard to get the waiters' attention if we needed water refills or more soup base, and they didn't check on us after dropping off the food. Also, we ordered the "mild" Szechuan broth, but it was much spicier than expected -- more like a medium. It was also quite oily, so we had to skim some of the oil off the top. Overall though, I'd still recommend it for the food quality and group-friendly hot pot experience.

There were a couple of other flies flying around, likely because we were seated near the door. Since it was just my sauce, I was able to replace it, so I didn't mind too much but I'd avoid sitting near the door next time and hope they keep it closed. Overall, with so many hot pot places in the Bay Area, I'm not sure if this one will stand out especially with strong competition in Milpitas and San Jose. The quality is good, and the restaurant concept is cool. However its expensive compared to other places! I just hope they invest in better marketing, since we only discovered this place while heading to another restaurant in the same plaza. The prices seemed fair initially until the food arrived. The proportions were incredibly little. The angus beef only had 5 slices (though big, you can eat it in one bite). While nothing tasted bad, the value and options made the experience very underwhelming for a whopping $75 for two people. They charge almost $20 for the broth too which I think is unreasonable. Unfortunately I don't think I'd come back even though everything tasted great due to the price point when I can go to a similar restaurant and get more for my value with similar/about-the-same taste
