Came on a Saturday night and it was such a great experience! We were seated right away. You can choose between 2-3 different style broths with no extra cost: our group chose the seafood, bone, and tomato paste broth. I liked the seafood and tomato paste broth. The bone one didn't have a strong flavor and tasted a bit bland. We got the beef, pork belly, tendon, and intestines for protein and the quality was pretty good. Also recommend the mushroom platter for vegetables. The sauce bar has some of the best sauces I've seen offered. The meat sauce was really good! There's also a grass jelly dessert (pretty darn good!) and oranges that are available at the sauce bar. Our group was so full and pleased with the experience. Would come back again if in the area.

My coworkers and I reserved tables for 25+ people and had a hot pot extravaganza. Tables were prepped and ready to go when we arrived. Every item on the menu was ordered, and my favorites were the Spicy Beef soup base + tallow bear, beef, beef tendon, fish roe ball, lotus root and pumpkin. The ingredients were quality and fresh, and service was quick to ensure each table had what we needed. Excellent hot pot flavor with plenty of fresh meat and seafood options. Would highly recommend!

Time to share my experience at Jiuding Flavor Restaurant! We got mild spicy, bone soup, and mushroom soup base, and the bear butter?? is so cute! But Idk why they put bean sprouts on both of non-spicy soup base. lol Compare to the other hotpot spots the price of the items here is so acceptable, and the portion and quality is above the standard in Bay Area too! I minus one star on the review because of the customer service, it was not even busy when we were there, but the servers didn't really attend to us. Hopefully they can improve their customer service.

The food here is amazing. The broth, the variety of meat and veggies, and the sauce station are really good. This place is definitely worth your money. The service is amazing. They will refill our table with water constantly and they will checkin and ask if we want to top off our broth if they think we are running out. The place is great for groups and the place is well lit with amazing decorations.

Very reasonably priced hot pot restaurant, you can order multiple soup bases and they will give you a split pot. They are not AYCE, so you order a la carte but everything was very affordable and will easily fill you up. The ramen and noodle dishes were extremely big, so no need to order one portion per person (unless you want to!). On the other hand, the meat dishes were fair in portion size, so scale that up if you want more meat in your meal. They have a sauce station with a few options so you can make your own sauce mix, and a grass jelly pot too for dessert. Staff came by multiple times very quickly to ask if we were ready to order, but were still patient with us as we figured out what to order. The English translations were not all that great, but we sort of figured it out via trial and error. Overall, the restaurant is a bit on the small side, so come early to avoid a wait and they do have some bigger tables in the back.

My friend recommended this hot pot restaurant but it only took me a couple years until I tried it out. Workers were quite to greet us and we got seated right away. The restaurant was small but they had designated areas for large party. There were also plenty of parking spaces. They went through the menu and gave us some recommendations. We ordered three soup bases: spicy & oil, spicy & beef tallow, and three fresh. We also ordered several dishes of meats and veggies. We definitely ordered too much for just two people so we had left overs. They also had a sauce bar where you can make your own sauce. Overall, the experience and food was good, and price was reasonable for a hot pot restaurant. Most of the items were a la carte with some combo dishes. I would definitely come back and try their other soup bases.

Dude- if you want a sauna and facial plus deliciousness all in one, go go go! Authentic Chinese options. I've never before had these Broth options, the tomato was not too strong but the mushroom was divine. We ordered bean sprouts, beef, lamb, wagyu, three kinds of noodles, mushrooms, shrimp and cabbage. The sauce bar provides everything from fresh cilantro, garlic, green onions, beef and mushroom sauce and I personally mix them all together. Complimentary dessert options are orange slices and jelly which is cold and refreshing. Will definitely be back. So many amazing options in this area.

My brother and I came here spontaneously on a Thursday night and the restaurant was pretty filled but luckily we got seated right away. Make sure to go to the sauce bar while you're waiting for the food to come out; they even have free grass jelly. We settled on getting a split broth; we got spicy and beef tallow and tomato soup. We both preferred the tomato. We also got the lamb and beef combo, pork belly, vegetable platter, quail eggs, fish ball with roe, lotus roots, and udon. All the meats were good and the ingredients were tasty and fresh. My brother said this place was significantly cheaper and a good value compared to other non-ayce hot pot spots in the area. Definitely worth a try!

Overall a great option for a-la-carte Chinese hot pot! Good quality and the interior is very home-like. The prices aren't crazy high too! They charge about $4 per person for soup. You can choose up to 3 broths with no extra charge. You can also add an adorable beef tallow bear into your broth! My group tried the Seafood Soup and the Spicy Beef Tallow Soup Base. Both were decent, but nothing too different from other hot pot spots. Flavorful and satisfying though. The staff also were really attentive and continuously refilled the broth for us when it would get low! PRO TIP : order lots of Extreme Beef :-) A downside of this location is the lack of ventilation. My hair and clothes strongly smelled like sichuan peppercorns for many hours after! Definitely plan to shower and do laundry after coming here...

I really enjoyed this hotpot place!! I was first attracted because of the cute bear that I wanted to see for myself. I was even more intrigued as I noticed the great overall rating. Firstly, this place is an a la carte hotpot restaurant which I usually dont go to because they can tend to be pricey and add up when you order more inclusions. However, the price was very fair for 4 people coming out to about ~$125. I think it definitely lives up to the rating. The broths were really good and flavorful! I really enjoyed the Spicy Broth with the Tallow Bear. The presentation was really fun for each of the dishes as well. We also ordered the veggie platter and mushroom platter. Which BTW, the veggie platter comes with glass noodle and mushroom already :-) The servers were also really attentive to us, refilling our water and soup broth. They were really nice too! I love the authentic vibe of the place overall and more "family-esque" service :) Definitely would return to try more items from the menu.

Wonderful spot for some hot pot! Service was attentive and after we ordered, everything came out in a couple of minutes. Went on a week night and got seated immediately. They had a nice sauce bar set up to create your own concoction. I loved that they had grass jelly and some fruit there to end your meal with! We shared the tomato and spicy/beef tallow broths. The tomato broth was delicious and flavorful! The beef tallow had a great slow building heat level to it. I personally found myself eating meats/veggies out of the tomato broth the majority of the time. They give you generous portions for the price of each item! Really enjoyed the quail eggs, fish roe fish balls, pork belly and I'm a sucker for some fresh tofu. Overall an excellent option for dinner in a location filled with dining options!

Delicious tomato and spicy soup bases! Love the lamb!! So good. Love the rice cakes so chewy! Staff is friendly and attentive. The con in the setup is that for the 2 people seat area, there is no space to remove around. Also, better ventilation would be good too. Overall, good experience as yummy food! Recommend and will be coming again.

An absolute hidden gem!!! I only have a few hot pot spots that I frequent in the Bay Area so I wanted to try a new restaurant. I stumbled upon Jiuding on yelp and it had such great reviews so I knew I had to check it out. My boyfriend and I came for dinner on Sunday and had an incredible time! We got the spicy and beef tallow hot pot and the three fresh hot pot for our bases. Both had excellent flavors but I was a huge fan of the three fresh base. Highly highly recommend! And all the ingredients were fresh and delicious. T meat was great quality and there was so much variety in general. Service has never really stood out to me at other hot pot spots but the service here was noticeably great. They made sure we always had enough napkins and checked in to refill our broth once in a while. Such a friendly and attentive staff! Compared to other non ayce hot pot restaurants around here, Jiuding was much more affordable and the quality was just as good if not better. I will definitely be back!

The sauce completely overpowered the fish and tasted overly oily, heavy, and unbalanced instead of rich or flavorful. The sea bass itself didn't taste very fresh, and the texture was way too soft in a bad way. Wrapping it in banana leaf made the dish look fancy, but it honestly felt like presentation was doing all the work instead of the actual cooking quality. Even the herbs and chili on top couldn't save it. Definitely one of those dishes that looks amazing in photos but tastes painfully average in real life. The flavor is comforting and well-balanced without being overly salty, and the texture is smooth and satisfying. I highly recommend pairing it with their dough stick (youtiao). Another standout for me is the steamed spareribs with black bean and taro. The spareribs are tender and flavorful, and the black bean sauce adds a savory depth without overpowering the dish. Service continues to be efficient and well-organized, even when busy. One thing I noticed is that the restaurant is especially popular with elderly customers, which honestly says a lot about the food being comforting, traditional, and consistent. We were seated near the kitchen so we were able to look in and see BTS. The restaurant is very spacious, clean and bright with a modern design. I actually like this better as I don't feel rush to order and gives me the chance to look through the menu without feeling rush to order. Iced water was brought out instantly. We ordered the following: 1. Lamb skewer, spicy: you can smell the intensity of the spice when the dish was brought out from the chili powder. The meat is moist and grilled well w/ a nice crisp. There is no gamey smell. I took a first bite but the chili powder slightly burned my gums. Had to ask Hubby to shake some of the chili poweder off the skewers for me. Its a messy dish but very tasty. 2. Spicy beef soup w/ wide noodles: Noodles are HUGE! About 1.5 inches wide and forever long. I had to use the scissors to cut it up. Noodles are good. Chewey texture just as I like it. Comes with a whole egg and beef. The broth has a nice spice to it and unlike other spicy noodle soup I've tried, it does not taste oily or overwhelmed with spices esp Sze Chuan chilis. It had a good balace of savory and spiciness. 3. Wide noodles w/ braised chicken: This dish is delish but it's a BIG dish like a whole chicken was prepared! Can feed up to 4-5 people. It's the size of a medium pizza or even a Large. The thick sauce is very flavorful but not salty. It comes with potatoes, carrots, onions, green bell peppers, and dried whole chili. Its not spicy but may be for kids as we have a high spicy tolerance. Only thing about this plate I didn't like it there's bones. We ended 2 more meals with the leftover. The noodles are hand pulled in house as we sat by the kitchen and saw the kitchen staff making it. Food comes out pretty quick and service is very good. The staff are very attentive and met our needs promptly. We definitely will return to try other plates as the menu is pretty big.

Will definitely make a pit stop in Milpitas for Taiwan Cafe next time in Milpitas and highly recommend for anyone who's looking for a taste of some excellent Taiwanese cooking.
