Cool chopsticks with disposable wooden tips
    Annie C.

We came on a weekday for lunch and there was no wait and very few other parties. The ambiance is kind of tech-y with metal and neon. It seemed like a good place for groups of up to 6. We had the pork belly chicken soup and the coconut chicken soup, which is sweet. I'd never had a sweet hot pot soup before, and it was interesting! The soup has coconut water and pieces of coconut. Tip: corn on the cob tastes so good cooked in that coconut water soup! Both soups come with a lot of meat that you can scoop out to eat after it's been cooked. The biggest downside was that the meat is all bone-in, which makes the soup delicious, but the bones were crushed and I crunched tiny bone shards more than once, which can't be good for my teeth. They charge $1.50 for the sauce bar. The chopsticks are really interesting! The handles are reusable and the tips are disposable wooden pieces that you screw in to them. I like this system since wood is grippier but less hygienic. The service was really nice here-- they switched out our bowls for us when they got full with bones. We stayed a pretty long time and they were okay with it.

New restaurant in the plaza - I didn't want to wait for the neighboring restaurant, so I decided to give it a chance. There were only 2 other tables dining in the restaurant, and I had no idea what I was walking into, but I somehow convinced my family to go in. We chose the half & half soup base: rattan pepper soup + mushroom soup. I really enjoyed the rattan pepper soup! The mushroom soup was decent too. For the sides, we got duck blood, braised beef tendon, angus eye steak, shrimp paste, Chiba tofu, chrysanthemum, and 1 bowl of rice. The braised beef tendon was amazing. Shrimp paste was pretty good too. Rest were standard. Decor: my brother did not like how bright the interior lighting was. He thought the white light + green light was too much. For me, I did not like their chairs. The metal chairs screeches on the floor and when I get in/out of chair. Service: attentive and helpful. They showed us on the disposable tip for the chopsticks worked. Sauce bar: $1.50 each if I remember correctly. Pricing was on par with other hotpot in the area. They didn't have desserts in that section though. Most other hotpot places that charge for their sauces usually include some small appetizer or refreshing desserts. My brother was a bit shocked by the charge because he didn't actually use his sauce - he grabbed it because my mom and I did, he was not aware that it would cost money (they do have it on their menu, but he never scanned the QR code).

I used my own eyes and saw the vibe and then went in without checking anything on the internet. And I was very happy that I did. This is a very CHINESE place. I have heard of such hotpot places in China. They cater to the customers very well. The bathroom has toothbrush and toothpaste and other stuff to get you cleaned up after eating hot pot. There are endless appetizers and Chinese desserts, as well as snacks for you to load up (all free!), and there are lots of sauces and whatnot for you before you even order. All self-served. The hot pot broth is very tasty, and you can then order items to put in the hotpot. For those of us who cannot decide, they have combo mushrooms platter so you don't have to choose, and beef offals mixed platter so you get a little bit of everything. The types of items available for hot pot is distinctively Chongqing stuff, so don't get too turned off if you don't see the usual hot pot stuff. It's not the run of mill kind of place. You get a nice booth and you get to refill the broth whenever you want. My favorite are the nice cold mung bean noodles that you would otherwise pay at least $10 to get as a side dish. It's free and endless. This is all you can eat and free. The second favorite thing that I couldn't get enough of is the different sesame balls they served up, all freshly made and incredibly tasty. My absolute third favorite is the various Chinese desserts that are locally found in Sichuan. Again all free. Onto the items we ordered. I really liked the thinly sliced lamb beef and hand cut beef (thicker), as well as mushrooms, veggies and beef offals. You don't have to decide on one thing, love the combo selections and very reasonable in cost. I also ordered pork blood which my parents liked. The price point is medium to low. Comparing to other hot pot restaurants, it's definitely very inexpensive. So I am surprised that they are making money honestly but that made my parents happy as they like a good deal. My parents really enjoyed the ingredients, the process and the endless appetizers and desserts plus local Chinese snacks that you can load up while eating the hot pot (individually packed quail eggs and tofu snacks). The restaurant chain is from China. So they cater to what the new gen Chinese hot pot goers want. Lots of variety, good price points, and a good beginning to end customer oriented process. A slight interesting observation - they have hair ties up front, in case you need to tie up your hair before getting down in business. I eat everywhere in the world because of my job and demanding travel work schedule. I am usually not impressed by food but this place is definitely top notch. I think I ate at least four variety of sesame balls. Yes they are fried, but they are fresh and delicious. It took an hour to get there, but it's totally worth it. Bonus points, made my parents happy in advance of Chinese New Year.

We came with a group of eight and were able to comfortably share one large table, which made the experience feel really fun and communal. We ordered a big variety of meats, veggies, noodles, and rice for our split pot with a mild Szechuan broth and a tomato broth. As soon as the waiter took our paper order, all the food came out at once, which was super convenient. They placed everything on a small side table next to us so we could cook and eat at our own pace without feeling rushed. There was also a great self-serve sauce bar with lots of sauces, small snacks, and soups, which added a lot to the experience. Overall, the quality of both the meats and vegetables was really good, and everyone left feeling very full and satisfied. The only downsides were the service and the spice level. It was pretty hard to get the waiters' attention if we needed water refills or more soup base, and they didn't check on us after dropping off the food. Also, we ordered the "mild" Szechuan broth, but it was much spicier than expected -- more like a medium. It was also quite oily, so we had to skim some of the oil off the top. Overall though, I'd still recommend it for the food quality and group-friendly hot pot experience.

Everything is ordered through the kitchen but there is a sauce bar for all your saucy delights. This is a stone grilled bbq and was surprisingly easy to cook with. When they brought out our order, we were just in absolute awe at the presentation. They brought out our cuts on a gold cow with smoke come out the bottom with, I assume what appears the different cow cuts and where its located on the body? I could be wrong but it doesn't matter as they all tasted absolutely amazing. The meat itself was high quality and just melted in your mouth. We tried most of the various cuts and don't remember which ones we ordered but they all tasted amazing. Honestly drooling as I write this review and cannot wait to go back!

Hands down the best spicy beef tallow we've ever had in this area & there's a lot of hotpot restaurants here! My husband got the spiciest option and the server was considerate enough to give us a heads up that it might be too spicy lol it was just the right amount of spice for us, we love spicy food! The interior of the restaurant is really nice and modern. They had nice, calm music playing by in the background. The quality of the beef tongue and snowflake short rib was top notch! We love the sauce they have and the free sides there as well!! Overall just an amazing hotpot experience! Definitely check it out!!

There was a lot of open seating so we sat down pretty immediately. We decided to get the two half broth: Cantonese bone broth and mushroom broth. Both broths were very good and fragrant. I enjoyed drinking it. We were given a QR code to scan and order. I was pretty disappointed that there weren't many options to pick from and out of the ones that were on the menu, a lot of them were grayed out. The prices seemed fair initially until the food arrived. The proportions were incredibly little. The angus beef only had 5 slices (though big, you can eat it in one bite). While nothing tasted bad, the value and options made the experience very underwhelming for a whopping $75 for two people. They charge almost $20 for the broth too which I think is unreasonable. Unfortunately I don't think I'd come back even though everything tasted great due to the price point when I can go to a similar restaurant and get more for my value with similar/about-the-same taste
