Came here for lunch on a Saturday. We arrived just as they opened so it wasn't too busy yet. Parking was easy in the shared lot. The staff were patient with us picking out our orders. Food came out fresh and hotin a reasonable amount of time. All out dimsum items were delicious. The reataueant was clean. Prices were fair.

So far the best dimsum in Bay Area with decent prices and good quality. I had the half roast duck, it's flavorful and the meat was tender and juicy. We had the specialty fried lotus roots and fried stuffed tofu skin, both were delicious. The service was quick even it's Saturday lunchtime. Will be back to try other things in the menu.

While we don't come here as often as before, our family of 3 always enjoy a family dinner from time to time. Food doesn't always come out perfect but for the most part, Cheung Hing doesn't disappoint. Seasoning can be lacking at times so it is great to have the condiments table-side. Service isn't attentive and it certainly isn't great but we always have the most courteous interactions with the male busser and the older male Chinese waiter. We always look forward to seeing you both. Dinner dishes we absolutely love: * COMBINATION HOUSE CHOW FUN * BEEF FILLET WITH ASSORTED MUSHROOMS * SPICY CALAMARI (must request for sweet and sour sauce on the side) * PEKING SPARERIBS * CLAMS IN BLACK BEAN SAUCE * BRAISED MUSTARD GREENS WITH MUSHROOMS 4 Stars. Awesome spot for family-style dinners but the dim sum quality has declined. The dumplings tend to be wet and mushy.

OVERALL: It's rough (aka super oily, etc) but it's your typical canto dim sum joint not only of the food but also of the service. They do offer frog which is interesting. Very large menu. Portions are large and affordable. BITTER MELON BLACK BEAN SPARERIB OVER RICE: Amazingly flavorful. Spareribs had a bitter undertone due to the bitter melon but was well cooked. Loved the lump of white rice. ***PRO TIP: Order something over rice as it's about $13.95 vs $2.95 for one bowl of rice!*** EGGPLANT AND STING BEAN WITH GARLIC: Extremely oily and rather flavorless. The garlic doesn't really come through either. However, string beans are fresh with a great crisp whereas eggplant had a thick skin. PIG STOMACH AND FROG WITH GINGER AND SCALLION: Delicious. Large pieces of frog! Old ginger used with spicy vibes. Pig stomach slightly overcooked. CRAB MEAT WITH FISH MAW SOUP: Extremely typical and flavor profile is right on cue. ***add white pepper for extra flavor!*** COMPLIMENTARY DINNER RED BEAN SOUP: Not sweet. Didn't taste like anything. SERVICE: Wait staff is exactly what you'd expect in a canto restaurant...rude and the extreme need to wave them down. The younger male was nicer than the older folks. Interestingly, there wasn't "bus boys" but instead a female cleaning up the tables. ***Gave salted peanuts to "known" tables aka probably regulars or relatives (no clear definition provided)... which is rude af in my opinion because everyone should be treated equally even if it's just salted peanuts*** Never refilled tea. Never asked how it's going. Gave multiple side eyes, grunts, and shrugs. AMBIANCE: Casual dining. Great for groups if you talk loud because the room is very noisy. The tables, condiment containers, plates, utensils, etc are extremely dirty...I don't even want to imagine what the kitchen looks like. Metal carafe for tea given was extremely dirty and extremely janky. No service fee automatically included. No bag or takeout container fees. Where we were seating was very hot and very sweaty. Located in a plaza with other eateries; therefore, a large free private parking lot but parking can be complicated due to number of good options. Would I come back? I'd personally takeout because I'm grossed out by the cleanliness of this establishment.

Consistency is the key and Cheung Hing delivers food quality that we trust whether it's busy season or a regular night dinner. Came for Thanksgiving dinner without reservation and the place is packed! We were lucky to get a table while we arrived early, but the line waiting for take out is long! It's packed and we had to flag down the staff multiple times to get hot water, soup spoons, rice, and reminded them a couple of our orders. They had no time to change plates for us or help to take out the dirty dishes. However, even on a holiday night, we could order from their value menu and for 2 small families, we chose Plan A with a lobster (small, comes out like 6 pieces but it tasted fresh). The plan comes with a pot of soup which was super yummy and flavorful. Then we selected 4 dishes. We picked 2 BBQ item combo of BBQ pork and soy sauce chicken, roast duck 1/2 size, beef with mushroom, and garlic bean sprouts. They offer only seasonal veggie so the bean sprouts were super fresh and yummy, a bit too oily though. The beef dish was delish, the beef was so soft and flavorful, we had no idea how they could make it so well in the texture, bouncy, juicy and not a bit overcooked. The roast duck has a good flavor of plum sauce and it could go really well with a bowl of white rice. The BBQ items were consistent in quality and always a kids hit. The complementary red bean soup was luke warm, but we were stuffed and everything was as good as their low season not busy time. I'm glad we always choose Cheung Hing as our designated meet up dinner spot, it doesn't disappoint.

We picked up dinner here this past Sunday. The restaurant was spacious with lots of dine-in seating available. Service was sufficient, and our order was packed and ready upon arrival. Got the half roast duck, bbq pork, veggie egg rolls, and rice. Everything was delicious! Both the pork and duck were particularly tasty, but on the fatty side. The egg rolls were nice and crisp on the outside, with a flavorful mix of veggies inside. Also beware, prices are a little higher via online ordering than what is listed on their printed menus.

I DoorDashed food to go. I was pleased with not only the quality of the food but also the serving sizes. Picked up several dishes for the office. I cannot speak about the restaurant inside dinning but takeout was great. The food was still hot when it was delivered. My favorite was the roasted duck. If you are looking for good Chinese food then you should give them a try.

Ordered a lamb stew to go on Mother's Day via their website. Went to pick up and had to wait over an hour. Finally they said we'll "resubmit" the order to the kitchen. Took over 1.5 hours to get one thing. No apologies, no nothing. I'm never coming back to this place. Zero respect for customer.

It's been a while since I've dined here but was very impressed by dinner recently. For a Saturday night it was quite packed with most of the large tables taken. Extensive menu as you can see from my 20+ menu pictures. There's definitely something for everyone here! We ordered the following: -dried scallop egg white fried rice - Delicious! You can really taste the "wok hei" in the rice. -spicy eggplant with fish clay pot - There's a generous amount of eggplant and fish in this dish. If you're not a fan of bamboo, you can ask for it to be left out. -chicken chow fun with gravy - This is our go-to dish. It's packed with chicken and vegetables. Again, lot of "wok hei" in the noodles. -crab meat with vermicelli - This was my favorite dish! The noodles had a wonderful flavor, and the crab taste really came through. -bbq trio plate with roast pork, roast duck, and jellyfish - The roast pork was fresh and not dry, decent pieces of roast duck with lots of meat. Jellyfish is always fun to eat. The portion size was quite generous and the service was attentive. I've ordered their salted fish with chicken fried rice several times in the past and that's always good! The party lot is quite large but they do share with with several other businesses and restaurants. It was quite busy the evening we went but were still able to find parking.

I love going to Cheung Hing for dimsum because it's one of the few places where they bring out the dimsum carts for you to order. When you're seated, they'll still provide you with a menu so you can order that way if it's more comfortable, but I love the traditional dimsum carts. I came here with my sister and my husband this past weekend for lunch. The plaza does get crowded around lunch, so I typically try to go early to get a parking spot. The restaurant doesn't get too crowded like other places, so we were able to get seated quickly after arriving and we were handed a menu to order our food. We ordered beef meatballs, siu mai, beef rice rolls, chicken feet, fried rice, taro buns, salted egg yolk buns, and matcha buns. Our food came out quickly one by one. We first got our siu mai, which was nice, juicy, and flavorful. We also got our beef rice rolls, which were doused in soy sauce. The rice rolls were nice, chewy, and tasted super fresh. When our beef meatballs came out, the server kindly cut them for us so that it would be easier to eat them. The beef meatballs were also very large, juicy, and had a decent amount of herbs and garlic to spice them up. Our chicken feet were nicely cooked with a gelatinous texture from the collagen. None of us were very big fans of the fried rice because it was so salty, but at least the rice itself was nice and fluffy to eat. The desserts were amazing! We were getting full by the time we got to the buns, but they were so delicious that we were able to appreciate their flavor. The matcha buns had a crispy exterior, a mochi-like chew to the bun, and a nutty, earthy matcha filling. The taro bun was also really good with a thick, slightly sweet taro paste inside and a sugary topping on the bun that reminded my sister and me of concha pastries. The salted egg yolk bun was probably my least favorite but it was still really good with a runny, salted egg yolk filling and a fluffy and soft bun exterior. The price for everything was really reasonable, especially if you take into account the portion sizes. The service is quick and you can even ask waiters for help with ordering if needed. (Last time we were here, we were able to order Mongolian beef even though it wasn't on the menu. The restaurant is super accommodating! The Mongolian beef was also impressive because the meat was so soft and tender and the plate wasn't filled with onions, which tends to happen at restaurants these days.) Because the restaurant isn't too crowded, it's easy to have a conversation with friends as you eat your dimsum and you don't have to worry too much about waiting to get a seat for lunch on the weekend. I really love getting dimsum and CheungHing is usually one of my top spots due to the food quality, good service, and the calm atmosphere.

I appreciated the service. We came in around 2 pm for dim sum. Two things we wanted, they ran out. They tried very hard to sell us something us. We were strong in saying no. Loved their plates and even the fancy teapot had their name engraved on it. There were two big tables celebrating a birthday. The dim sum was nice and hot. Favorite was the salted egg fried squash. Tea was really good even though with added water. Staff let us stay and not hurry us out. Plenty of parking.

Office will come have dim sum once in a while. This time just two people and we decided to try something different than dim sum. Ordered Singapore style stir fried rice noodle and 3 item BBQ over rice. BBQ over rice: BBQ items has BBQ pork, roast duck and chicken. Typical Chinese bbq items but the taste is awesome, and fresh Singapore fried rice noodle: Very flavorful, curry powder is not over powering. We did also order chicken feet for dim sum. Just two people is more than enough and we have to pack to go. Food quality stays usual, service is not bad. Venue is as expected.

A co-worker highly recommended Cheung Hing for their bbq pork, roast pork and roast duck. We stopped in thinking they had a Chinese deli. They didn't. We wanted to try these items, so we ordered take out. Our order took 20 minutes to be filled. Not sure why since the food is already prepared. We placed another order for baked bbq pork buns and egg tarts. When we got home to eat lunch, we were disappointed that the food was cold, and we did not get the baked bbq pork buns. We got bbq pork puffs instead. Even though the food tasted good., we will not be going back soon.

In my opinion, their system for waiting for tables is a bit chaotic. They do not ask for your phone number; instead, they print out a receipt with a number and call it out when your table is ready. There is a monitor inside the restaurant that you can watch, but since it's so crowded and the way the system is displayed on the screen, it's kind of hard to tell what is going on or what your status is. Service-wise, it's exactly what you would expect from any Chinese restaurant serving dim sum, if you know what I mean. :) Inside, the restaurant is very spacious and large, and I am assuming the reason for the long wait is that it's one of only two places to get dim sum in Milpitas (the other being Mayflower in the other highly packed plaza nearby). They do not serve dim sum with the traditional cart system where dishes are rolled around the dining room. Instead, you order from a menu and mark down how many quantities you want of each item. My family got a variety of dishes, but I'll call out some notable ones: * Their shu mai was juicy and packed with meat, probably one of the best shu mai I've had in the South Bay. * Their har gow skin broke apart really easily, which bummed me out, but it was generously stuffed with shrimp. * My favorite dish was their purple rice rolls. It was basically a Chinese donut stuffed with shrimp and wrapped in a purple glutinous rice roll. * The chicken feet were very balanced and not too sweet. * The truffle scallop dumpling had a rich mushroom flavor, and the scallop added a nice flavor profile. * The BBQ pork was coated well with the char siu sauce. It was tender and bold in flavor. Overall, my experience here was great, but I do not think it warranted more than a 30-minute wait. The food also came out a bit slowly in my opinion, but that was probably due to the high volume of people.

We ordered our usual: shrimp rolls, shrimp dumplings, sui mai, salted fish and chicken fried rice, chicken feet. Unfortunately literally every dish came before the sui mai and shrimp dumplings (seriously? its the most popular dish). I'll start off with the good dishes because honestly there were so little, the two best dishes were the siu mai and chicken feet. The siu mai was hearty, flavors were good, and it was large. The chicken feet was cooked perfectly, texture was consistent throughout and the flavors were subtle and well seasoned. Now the fried rice was 25$, I really wanted this to be good. My honest description of it is ‍, the rice was well cooked, shards were fluffy and seasoned nicely yet that was it. The salted fish was rarely seen, youd only notice every 3 spoonfuls and the chicken was passable. Shrimp rice rolls and shrimp dumplings are my stable go tos, I've been eating these dishes since I was small. These two were a complete disappointment, the batter were both chewy and honestly felt TOO thick. Then it seemed like there was a batter of some sort on both shrimp fillings? This cause the shrimp to have bites that were EXTREMELY chewy, like why are rice rolls chewy??? Final bill was 150$ for mid food that came out late and poorly time. Would NOT come here again.

This restaurant has been around for a long time serving Cantonese cuisine in Milpitas. They have…read moredim sum available during lunch in addition to their regular menu items. A few dishes they do well here are the salt and pepper spare ribs (pork chop), salt and pepper fish fillet, dried scallop with egg fried rice - all their varieties of fried rice are yummy. Servers are courteous but if the restaurant is busy, servers don't come around as often as they should. You may have to flag them down. I recommend asking for everything up front if you don't see what you want at your table. For example, certain condiments or dipping sauces for your dim sum or glasses of water, extra napkins, etc. Request that stuff when the wait staff first show up or when you order. The ambiance is your typical Chinese restaurant. Simple and clean enough considering how long this restaurant has been in business. Nice chandeliers. Busy on the weekends for those coming in for dim sum. Restaurant is a decent size and has tables that are good for larger parties as well. Located in a busy plaza which houses many eateries near Lion Supermarket.

The staff is friendly and nice including the owner who knows my go to meal which is beat tendon stew with turnip. I have had other dishes and they are all superb and delicious. Not sure what all the complaints about the food are but I have dined in a lot of Chinese dim sum places including Koi Palace and I love this place more. I have not ordered a dish I did not like and I have tried quite a few of the chef specials already. Ambiance is huge and wide open with nice tables and cloth. I go after work at around 7pm and there is a nice spattering of regulars but I know this place gets crowded in the weekend.. Price is fair but the food and ingredients high quality so I don't care as good food trumps price. I love this place and am happy the owners and staff recognize me. The food is superb and tasty and the ambiance perfect when not busy. I highly recommend coming here for an awesome food and chef to table experience!

The Chinese sausage pieces sprinkled throughout added extra flavor too. The bowl is deep so there seemed to be roughly 5 cups of rice. Unfortunately the laksa shrimp fried rice was disappointing in comparison. It didn't have much flavor overall - better than plain rice but definitely needed more seasoning. The menu lists homemade laksa sauce as an ingredient but we didn't taste that, and the dish wasn't spicy at all either despite the 1 chili pepper rating. But it looked just like the menu picture so maybe the description is wrong. Fried chicken with tom yum sauce came with 6 pieces. Very juicy. We also enjoyed the herbal roasted prime steak with sausage rice. The delicious rice had the taste of fish sauce. Most of the short rib slices were soft and a few were slightly chewy but overall decent quality. Some of the fattier pieces of meat were still attached to the bone.

I came here on a Friday evening with my friend to grab dinner around 6:00 PM. The wait was around an hour, so be very prepared if you're coming during the dinner rush. This spot is located where the majority of the Asian restaurants are in Milpitas, so it's safe to say the parking can get a bit hectic and intense. The interior of the place is very bright, modern, and clean. There is a lot of seating for a small space, but the reason they are so busy has a lot to do with the number of people wanting to check this spot out. When you sit down, you scan their virtual menu via QR code and order there instead of through a server. You have the choice to order on one phone as a group or separately. Between my friend and me, we ordered a beef mint salad, fried tofu, confit mushrooms, and truffle mushroom rice. I will say that when we first got the fried tofu and confit mushrooms, we were quite surprised by the small portions compared to the price. That said, they were delicious, but skippable if you're trying to find the best bang for your buck. What I absolutely would recommend is their truffle mushroom fried rice. This might have been my best bite this month. It was so savory, the mushrooms hit perfectly, and the coating of butter on the rice was supreme. It was $28 for a bowl, but it was a good value to split between two people. Overall, this place had great, fast service (our food came out in under 10 minutes), a nice ambiance, and fresh, flavorful food.
