The food is delicious with super authentic Chinese taste. The place is spotless inside, and the service is great as well.

I took my colleague out to lunch before Christmas. I've worked with her for 14 years, so naturally she and I are quite close. She has always listened to me and offered advice whenever I needed it. Recently with the loss of my uncle, I became disconnected and lost mentally and emotionally. I was too busy to stop, but somehow I would sneak in a cry here and there when I am by myself. She helped coordinate with the rest of my team in Ann Arbor and in Singapore; sending my the bouquet, a card, and gift card was thoughtful, a simple gesture that brought tears to my eyes. She picked this place because it was close to work. I told her that after lunch, she can just go home and work from there. She thought this was OK Noodle, but the server told us that they moved to Abel St. We sat down and checked their menu from the QR code. I noticed that they have tofu as an appetizer, but there were no other vegetarian-friendly dishes. I went up and asked if I could order 2 orders of the tofu, a side of noodles w/ a side of chili and soy sauce. I was delighted to hear that they can accommodate me. There wasn't an option on the ZQ code to order a side of noodles. Once we placed our order, the server came to our table and asked me if I wanted the tofu to be braised/tossed with water instead because it is actually done with bone broth. I was impressed w/ the level of attention and detail and I appreciate them telling me, so I can stick to my religious beliefs as I'm going through the 49 days. I forgot what my colleague ordered, but my selection was quite flavorless (rightfully so), but the chili and soy sauce helped kicked the dish up. I'll be back to try their other dishes. If you follow them on IG, you can get 12% off from your bill.

House luosifen with fried egg, fried yuba, peanuts, water spinach, bamboo shoots, wood ear mushrooms

Wow, this place was seriously good. It is difficult finding luosifen in the south bay, the only other restaurant is Lo Si Ding in San Jose. The luosifen here is so flavorful, the broth was perfectly spicy, sour and tangy. I added a Chinese style fried egg to my bowl, and it was fluffy and so delicious after absorbing some of the broth. I really liked the toppings: water spinach, peanuts, bamboo shoots, wood ear mushrooms and fried yuba. They even provided a jar ohouse vinegar to add to cut the spice and make the broth more sour. The restaurant was clean and modern, the service was prompt, you scan a QR code to order and my luisifen came out within a few minutes.

House Special Luosifen with Chinese Sausage

The luosifen was very good. They were very generous with the toppings and gave a large serving of noodles which made the bowl worth every penny! Outside of that, the experience was great--service was excellent and bathroom was clean. Not many people were there when I came with my friends so i hope more people have the opportunity to try this place for their luosifen!

The service is awesome! But the food is pretty bad.....portion is small and really salty.

The classic luosifen snail soup. You should come here for this if ypu like spice and flavor.

I couldn't eat much spiciness and the waiter had it adjusted the spice level to be just right.

The Chinese sausage pieces sprinkled throughout added extra flavor too. The bowl is deep so there seemed to be roughly 5 cups of rice. Unfortunately the laksa shrimp fried rice was disappointing in comparison. It didn't have much flavor overall - better than plain rice but definitely needed more seasoning. The menu lists homemade laksa sauce as an ingredient but we didn't taste that, and the dish wasn't spicy at all either despite the 1 chili pepper rating. But it looked just like the menu picture so maybe the description is wrong. Fried chicken with tom yum sauce came with 6 pieces. Very juicy. We also enjoyed the herbal roasted prime steak with sausage rice. The delicious rice had the taste of fish sauce. Most of the short rib slices were soft and a few were slightly chewy but overall decent quality. Some of the fattier pieces of meat were still attached to the bone.

The stinky tofu was definitely stinky but not my desired texture. It was also too salty. The decor is nice, service could be more attentive.

It's a good thing we did because the restaurant filled up completely 5 minutes after ordering. The inside of the restaurant is clean and modern, they have some art up on the wall that was cool to look at. The food was definitely the star though. We tried the BBQ pork and shrimp noodle rolls. Both were really good but my favorite was still the shrimp. I loved the veggies in the roll too. They can be a bit hard to pick up and eat because they're massive and cut into thirds. Other than that, the rice noodles are thin and silky and hold the sauce nicely. The sauce is also delicious. We also ordered the fish congee which was simple but comforting. It comes out PIPING hot so don't burn your tongue. Fish was tender and flavorful. Overall no complaints and the service was quick. Highly recommend!

Chang fen was silky, smooth and full of lean slices of pork. Taro root dumpling was delicate and fell apart as soon as we attempted to put it on our plates. Flavor was not what I anticipated. Look forward to returning for more chang fen.

We ordered the hot and sour soup, sweet and sour pork, and a mixed vegetable dish -- all of it came out to just about $50, which is a great deal for the quality. A waiter told me they don't take credit cards when I was trying to pay. I was like, okay, maybe I should have done more research before I went there. So I tried to talk to him to see if there's any other options, like Zelle or Venmo, or maybe I can go to a nearby ATM and get some cash. He ignored me and did not respond, and left. I walked around, was finally able to get a waitress who was willing to talk to me. I explained that I didn't know they only took cash and I wonder if I can pay through other ways. She pointed at the wall and told me "it says on the wall", sounding like blaming me for not getting cash ready. Yes, maybe I should have read all the signs on the wall, but I really don't enjoy being blamed when I did nothing wrong. Assuming credit cards as one of the payment methods is not my fault, just how the society works. Anyway, I was able to pay them via Venmo, but I did not enjoy the experience at all.
