Really good Korean restaurant. We went off hours so it wasn't busy at all. The service was excellent. All the dishes are prepared fresh so the meals are customizable if you have allergies. My friend has a garlic allergy and they were able to prepare our dishes without garlic. The restaurant looks sophisticated on the inside the ambiance is great! They have many booths for a comfortable and private dining experience. We can't wait to come back!

We went on a weekday night and there was plenty of seating. Staff was very friendly and food was great. We ordered the dinner for 4 set and we were happy with everything. It's hard to find a Korean restaurant on this side of town so if you feel like eating Korean, give this place a try.

Both my husband and I love Korean cuisine and have visited several Korean restaurants in San Jose. This is the only restaurant of which we have frequented that I felt I was being served an authentic Korean dish. The food was absolutely delicious, the portions generous and the service very friendly. I only took two pictures because I simply had to start eating. I'll take more pictures on our next visit. Unlike the new trendy restaurants the Korean Palace's atmosphere is very old-style homey. After all, I am not going into a restaurant to admire its fancy lighting fixtures but to be given great meal which is what we received. We ate well. The price was well worth it. Korean Palace is now our favorite and our go-to Korean Restaurant.

Had this place to myself at 3:30pm (late lunch). Asked for a recommendation and they suggested the spicy pork lunch special. Boom! Perfect choice. I never eat all of the rice; however, this was so scrumptious that I couldn't stop grabbing flavor! I'll be back for certain!

The inside is clean with homey vibes, and they have a solid K-pop playlist playing in the back. The Korean lady, who I believe was the owner, gave great service and asked if we wanted banchan refills even for the lunch special. I would definitely come back for lunch again! Lunch Special - $19.99 Rating: (8/10) The lunch special is a tofu soup combo. You can pick different combinations from the menu, but some choices are considered premium and come with an additional fee. We went with the spicy chicken and beef tofu soup. It came with a bowl of rice, and the portion was enough for two people. The chicken was a little on the dry side and the tofu soup was missing some depth of flavor, but for the price it was good enough!

This was convenient when some at the table needed more time to order while some were ready to eat. Banchan items came out as soon as food order was put in. I ordered the ramen tofu soup medium spicy, galbi, and the table ordered pork soft tofu soup and spicy pork bulgogi. Everything was good and spicy items were actually spicy. Plenty of rice too if your family need rice. The dishes were all very good and comforting. Lines and waiting times got long so get here near opening for dinner if you don't want to wait.

We ordered the Stone Pot Bibimbap, Soft Tofu Soup, and the Korean BBQ Beef Short Ribs (Galbi). The short ribs were, without a doubt, the highlight of our meal. They were perfectly marinated, incredibly tender, juicy, and literally melted in our mouths. Easily one of the best Korean BBQ short ribs we've ever had. The stone pot bibimbap was also delicious, with crispy rice on the bottom and fresh, flavorful toppings. The soft tofu soup was hot, comforting, and full of flavor. The restaurant was very clean, cozy, and welcoming. The side dishes were fresh and tasty, and the staff was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our visit. We're so glad we came back, and we'll definitely be returning again. Highly recommend Omogari to anyone looking for authentic and delicious Korean food in San Jose!

Also, even though there is a small parking lot behind their building, do not park there. That is for employees only. And before you ask, no, I did not park there. I'm a rule follower. Just sharing for your information. There is always plenty of street parking. Just make sure you feed your meter. I paid $3 for an hour and a half of parking. Again, this update is after multiple meals with different people. SJ Omogari continues to be a go to favorite, especially if you want Meat Jun. I've tried it at other restaurants, and none come close to the flavorful, tender version from SJ Omogari. My friend and I had lunch at SJ Omogari yesterday. The tables seemed very close together. It's good for the restaurant to get more people, but it felt a little closed in for my personal space preferences. This was my friend's first visit, and she loved it! I ordered Meat Jun (duh), and we shared a dumpling tofu soup. I was feeling bold, so we asked for medium spicy. I was sweating, but it was very flavorful and I kept eating as the sweat dripped down my head. My friend ordered the chicken bibimbap, which SJ Omogari calls, "Chicken Ricebowl." That stone bowl was SUPER HOT! It was sizzling when served, and we could still see steam as she packed up her leftovers! My friend loved the crispy rice on the bottom. SJ Omogari is on the pricy side, but still worth it. Go!

Kept us stocked with water and got us whatever we needed right away (ladle, bowl, etc). Banchan came out almost immediately after ordering. The food was really yummy. One of my friends and I are sensitive to spicy foods, so we were a bit intimidated when the food came out RED. However, the spice level was truly mild and just a little kick of heat. The galbi was extremely tender and everything was well seasoned. My only other issue is the prices are a bit high. You can get similar food for a couple bucks less at spots in Santa Clara.
