Fast but poor service, food was okay. The rice paper in the spring rolls were a bit undersoaked but the inside was good. Was $12ish for two. The pho was okay, noodles were a bit overcooked and kept falling apart when I picked it up. Probably wouldn't come back but was worth a try.
I called and placed an order on the phone. In the 15 minutes it took for me to talk there, the order was already done. Everyone was so kind and quick, and even though I ordered carry out, I ate it inside and the man brought over a cup of water for me. I got the #41 grilled pork and egg roll vermicelli. It was SO DELICIOUS and exactly what I was looking for during this heat wave. The meat was juicy and flavorful, and there was plenty of it. I was pleasantly surprised that they were medium sized, thick pieces instead of small, precut strips. The noodles were perfectly cooked, not dry or mushy. I will absolutely come here again next time I crave vermicelli.
This place is easy to miss when you're unfamiliar with the area. It's tucked in this tiny corner with a few other businesses that share a very small parking lot that doesn't look like there are enough spaces for everyone during lunch rush. I was fortunate to find one available parking spot because it was at the later end of lunchtime. The parking spots are a bit tight and there isn't much room to maneuver. The sign on the door says "no public restrooms". I always wonder if that means no restrooms for non-customers walking in , or whether that meant no restrooms at all even for paying customers. I found the inside of the restaurant to be dimly lit after walking through the front door. Maybe it is partly due to the sudden transition from sunny bright outdoors, but the it could definitely be more bright inside. There is some booth seating, some regular table seating, plus a long high top table. A TV is mounted near the front door showing video menu, cycling through different dishes There are also photos of menu items on the wall. I like visual menus like this as it helps me picture what I'm getting. I got the combination pho, my usual at most pho restaurants. The broth was good, not too oily. I thought they added a good amount of meat to the bowl, unlike some other places that skimp on this. I was eating the remaining noodles at the end of the bowl and still fishing out pieces of beef! Overall this was a positive experience and I would not hesitate to come back should I be in the neighborhood.
This place might be my go-to pho spot! The broth is incredibly flavored. I think its packed with a lot more cardamom than other pho places, which I enjoy a lot. I got a large pho steak, brisket and tendon bowl and it was full of noodles and protein. The place is super chill, not packed on a weekday and the staff is nice as well
Nothing to call home about Unfortunately given the competitive food scene in the bay, I cannot say that their particularly good or anything special. It gets the job done. Soup is plain, meat is plentiful albeit a bit tough, and veggies are reasonably fresh. Prices are not bad. They are a humble business trying to make it, which I can respect. Decent place to stopby for a quick lunch

Clean, great service, and most of all very good food. 1- Vegetarian spring rolls: excellent, great peanut sauce. 2- Lemongrass spicy chicken stir fry- so flavorful and satisfying. 3- Vegetarian pho: excellent, so fresh! Highly highly recommend this place if you're looking for delicious, fresh, wholesome Vietnamese food.
Still can't believe that a bowl of pho is so expensive now, but the portions are big here so it's decent value considering Bay Area prices. Nothing fancy, but their menu is decently expansive and it's a good option for pho if you're in the area. Food is good/fast and service is friendly. The restaurant always looks dark from the outside but it's quiet, clean and always has a decent selection of music playing. Located in a small corner strip. The parking lot is small and a bit cramped.
Pho Avenue has plenty of comfortable seating, quick service, and a nice atmosphere for a casual meal. I ordered the Pho Brisket & Tendon bowl and found the portions of meat and greens to be pretty generous compared to other casual pho restaurants. I'd highly recommend for a casual meal!
Stop by this vietnamese pho restaurant on the way to the movie theater. It is a small restaurant with a couple of stores in the same complex. Parking is limited. Interior is like regular restaurant. We order pho combination and bun bun hue. The order was ready pretty quickly. The pho soup is yummy and still hot until the last scoop. It only has one piece of tendon and one piece of tripe. The steak is a bit overcooked. The bun bun hue is also yummy. It's not too spicy. They also have lemon grass sauce for dipping, and It is unique. They also have fresh chili paste. You pay at cashier.
I have a new obsession of getting vermicelli bowls wherever and whenever I can, and boy does this restaurant hit the spot. Service was fast and our food came out pretty quickly. Restaurant was pretty quiet when we came in and very peaceful. #35 Vermicelli Bowl w/ Grilled Shrimp + Pork: 5/5 The pork is super tender and the shrimp is nicely seasoned. The fish sauce is always fun to drizzle over all the contents, making the noodles and veggies at the bottom of the bowl extra tasty, so be sure to give your bowl a good mixing to coat everything in that goodness. This meal is my favorite go-to since everything feels so refreshing and sweet enjoyed on its own without drowning in broth. Highly recommend giving it a try!

Cute little restaurant, right off El Camino, service quick and friendly and very helpful. Food from what order delicious. The papaya salad, beef chow main and pork mix plate all individually great in taste. Definitely recommend a will be back to try more tasty Dishes! read more

Delicious! Pho Avenue offers huge portion sizes of authentic dishes at a reasonable price. FOOD [5/5] ------------ + Thai Tea (5/5) Tastes very good! This has none of that weird aftertaste that is in some Thai teas-- Pho Avenue doesn't bombard their tea with a ton of ice either, you get what you pay for! + Bun Bo Hue (5/5) A little bit greasy but I enjoyed this a lot. It comes with chopped lettuce which I really liked! The soup is perfectly spicy and has lots of flavor, with very generous portions of noodle and meat. I only ordered a Regular and had enough to take home for a second meal! :) SERVICE [5/5] -------------- Service was very friendly and attentive. We got plenty of water and amenities. read more

Pho Avenue is tucked in a quiet corner in Mountain View. There is very limited parking space and it looked really dark inside. I thought it was closed. Entering in, there is a pleasant selection of jazz music. As people where chatting amongst themselves, a server led us to a middle table where we got to see all of our surroundings. The menu had a good selection of food, and unlike some other pho restaurants my friend and I have gone to, we like the quiet scenery in the evening. One of the dishes I got was vegetarian pho. I think the dish was a little bit salty, but I was amazed to see how big the bowl is. The size was definitely rewarding. The tofu and veggies went well with the broth and I couldn't finish it myself. I think the server kind of woke me up because when she placed the bowls on the table, it sounded a bit of a slam and it shocked me a bit. The tables could be a bit cleaner. There was some spillage of the soup prior to sitting at the table. My friend had enjoyed the pho herself. The experience at this restaurant was intimate, and we like the chill environment this place brings. read more

Hands down the best to-go Vietnamese place. I rarely get full from takeout, but the portions are more than fair here, so I was feeling full after the delicious meal. I highly recommend Pho Avenue for the Pho Dac Biet and Pork Chop and rice. read more

Swung by here for a lunch before NFC Champ game on sunday. We wanted to try out different vietnamese restaurants close to home to see which can be our emergency vietnamese goto restaurant if we had to get it fast! The parking lot here was pretty tiny so I guess was lucky to find a space right in front of the door. The restaurant didn't seem too packed but was not completely empty as well. We ended up ordering a vermicelli noodle (pork with egg roll), beef pho and guess what, more eggrolls! Yummy yummy! The thing I liked most about the restaurant was that the main course was plenty of food. If you read my other reviews, you'll know that I am a quantity over quality type. :) So, it definitely scratched that itch. For my noodle dish, I just poured in all the fish sauce and mixed it all together. The ratio of meat to noodle wasn't too bad even though there was a lot of noodles. I was still able to finish my dish and was satisfied from it. I didn't even have to eat anything until 8pm. My wife, however, wasn't able to finish her bowl of noodles though. The pho bowl looked small but this is one of those "looks can be deceiving" cases. It was packed with a lot of noodles. I am not sure how much meat was in there though but I didn't hear any complaints from her about not having enough meat. :) Usually she very picky about how the broth tastes but in this case she thought is wasn't bad. So, that's a good thing right? So far, we believe this is one of the best places in the area if we wanted to get our fix of vietnamese food. read more

Been here multiple times, but this was the first time I came here to eat all by my lonesome because I was specifically craving Pho Avenue. Service is fast, workers are kind, ambience is nice (love the music they play), food is so good; I've had their rice plates and different phos, and I love all of them. I usually have leftovers, but yesterday's meal hit the spot so well that I hardly left anything (no sprouts, no noodles, no broth)! Pricing is average, not the worst, but not incredibly cheap. Always leave happy when I come here. read more

Our last night in Palo Alto before heading back to San Diego. Our son recommended this place. Food: 4/5 - Pho #11 L ($15.35)-- my son enjoyed it. - Pho #11 R ($14.35)-- same as my son's but smaller bowl. Had a good flavor. - Pho ($13.35) - Bun Bo Hue ($14.35)-- the flavor was there. Not authentic though. Lacked pig's feet and coagulated blood. - Veggie Pho ($13) - Banh Xeo ($14)-- crunchy and not oily. - Plum Soda ($5)-- my son loved it! - Thai tea ($5.35) Service: 3/5 Our wait staff were pleasant. However, they forgot my son's plum drink. In the middle of our meal, we reminded the male staff. He brought it over after it was prepped. At the end of our dinner, I walked up to pay. The male staff was distracted by his cellphone and didn't look up until a female staff walked up and informed him I was at the counter. read more
Went for Lunch Food - 3/5. Noodles had a decent bite to them but were a bit clumped together. Broth had a decent beefy flavor to it but lacking in the aromatic department. The rare steak was on the tougher side and almost completely cooked by the time it arrived. Tendons were deliciously tender with a nice, meaty bite to them. There wasn't much rare steak but plenty of tendon, which worked for me as I enjoyed the tendon more. Service - 4/5. Quick service and quick food. Value - 2/5. "Fine" is the best way to describe the pho here. It wasn't bad but didn't really make you crave more either. A regular pho is $15.5 and a large only $1 more, which is standard pricing for pho restaurants in the area. I am not very high maintenance and judge fairly based on the type of establishment, but the cleanliness here leaves something to be desired. Parking - Mall Lot (Free) read more
