GIWA is such a super cute girly restaurant! When I first walked in, I was wowed at the interior design and the beautiful flowers by the entrance. I made a reservation for 2pm and was seated immediately. Parking was a bit of a challenge so be sure to come early! I ordered the Korean pork cutlet along with a matcha latte. The matcha latte was great but nothing special. The pork cutlet was delicious and super crispy! It came with a side of coleslaw salad and rice which paired well with the cutlet. Overall, GIWA is an aesthetically pleasing restaurant with great bites and you can't go wrong with going here for a nice brunch or dinner with friends.

Came here before for their brunch menu last year but now they have an updated menu. We got Buttermilk honey comb, Berry bliss pancake, Pork cutlet tonketsu comb, Mildang potato truffle honey, & the Giwa special salmon towers. I absolutely loved the cutlet tonketsu comb it was perfectly cooked and paired well with the gravy. I also liked the mildang potato truffle honey it was literally like a sweet and savory. The salmon towers also was refreshing with cucumbers and the tomatoes.

Tried the lobster garlic noodle, and it was really flavorful and creamy. I was worried that the lobster would be overcooked, but it was actually very tender. The black sesame French toast pleasantly surprised me with how tall the toast was (not flat like typical French toast), and there were layers inside similar to eating cake. French toast was not too sweet, which I prefer for my desserts. The service was amazing, I was holding the lobster shell and didn't know where to set it down and my waiter came over and told me to give it to him, with a napkin in his hands. The ambience was so beautiful, the restaurant is definitely one of those Instagram photo spots. There are chandeliers and flowers surrounding the restaurant. Even the bathroom was nice, which is important since you can judge a restaurant also by its bathroom.

If you're looking for a restaurant that feels elevated but still warm and inviting, Giwa needs to be on your list. The restaurant itself is stunning, with lush greenery, curated florals, and a cozy, upscale ambiance that makes it perfect for a special night out. Here's what we ordered: - Champagne Vinegar Beet Garden Salad - Corn Ribs - Prime Long Rib - Gochujang Glazed Bossam The standout dishes for me were the Prime Long Rib and Gochujang Glazed Bossam. Both are sous vide for 16 hours, making them incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Service was pretty quick. Everything was so pretty, yummy, and I had such a good time here! Perf for date night or even a girls night out :)

Food was just okay, low value for what you are paying for. Both the uni pasta and chopped steak rice was over $30. Both were a bit salty and we questioned why we ended up paying close to $100 for 2 entrees and one drink. The staff were nice but very absent, which is an issue when we were each given one small glass of water and we were rarely checked on. It took a while for us to get the food but the drink also took a long time until we had to wave someone down to check on it. It felt like a pay at the counter, get a number and sit down level of customer service.

We had dinner for my birthday at GIWA and we had a wonderful time! We ordered the Uni pasta with scallops and their beet salad with a side order of chicken. The uni pasta was creamy and very tasty! The beet salad was fresh and light. The burrata cheese on the salad added more flavor and texture to the salad. The chicken was okay, wished the portion was a bit bigger. The service was amazing! The staff was very welcoming and helpful - they sang happy birthday to me and made me feel very special on my day! The venue is large and decorated will beautiful lighting and flower arrangements. The vibe and aesthetic is beautiful! Definitely worth checking out!

SUCH a cute restaurant!! You are greeted with loads and loads of flowers right when you walk through the door - available for purchase! We came on a Thursday night at 6:15pm, and it was pretty empty inside so we were seated right away. The restaurant started to fill up a bit by the 7pm mark, but plenty of parking. There are tablets to order at your table, and the service is super quick once you place your order. For drinks, we got the einspanner latte and the biscoff latte, both iced. We got the classic rosé tteokbokki as an appetizer and the creamy corn kimchi fried rice for the main dish. The food came within 10 minutes of placing the order. The lattes were both very creamy, not too sweet, and pretty refreshing on a hot day. They also came with super cute heart straws! The portions of the dishes were quite large. The tteokbokki dish had plenty of long chewy rice cakes and soft fish cakes, with the creamy rosé sauce coating each bite. The creamy corn around the fried rice had a great cheese pull, and the rice was umami and flavorful. Since it is the grand opening, we were gifted two free ice creams - the strawberry & cream parfait and the banana & chocolate parfait. The strawberry & cream parfait had frozen strawberry chunks inside, and the banana & chocolate parfait was buttery, almost reminiscent of salted caramel. The milk cream on top of both was delicious. Very fun experience! I've heard the brunch here is amazing, so I will try that next :-)

The ambiance and food plating are unmatched! Most beautiful and aesthetically pleasing restaurant I've been to. The servers are kind and while you wait you get to explore and take photos in their small flower shop area. The food was above average, omurice and that breakfast platter was honestly just okay. The salmon tower is delicious and they give a generous amount of avocado and their butter spread to put onto the bagel. The ingredients are definitely fresh and delicious, I would get it again. Salmon is creamy however the other ingredients if you were to make a sandwich like me, it gets overpowered and flavor of the salmon is not noticeable at all. The garlic lemon lobster pasta is good but not the best. The sauce could be doing a lot more but they gave us a reasonable amount of lobster which a lot of places fail to do. The lobster is delicious. For the drinks, they're just mid. I personally got the dawn violet ade and the syrup kept settling to the bottom so I could only drink the top no matter how much I mixed it... Pandan latte was okay, can't taste it really, tastes a lot of coffee. Pandan coco matcha is also just alright, would rather get it than the latte in terms of the Pandan flavor.

We came for brunch without a reservation and waited about 20mins for a table. Parking lot here is shared among other shops in this plaza so good luck :-) Ambiance: 4/5 Spacious restaurant with super cute and modern decor! My fiancé described the interior as "girly" lol xD Service: 4/5 Minimal contact with staff since you can just order through a tablet at your table but they were efficient and quick. Food: 4/5 Uni pasta - Portion was on the smaller side for a pricey dish. But it was really creamy and tasty to eat and the bread was perfect. Omurice - Again, pretty small portion. There was way more sauce than needed but the taste was fine. Pandan latte - Pandan flavor is weak. Biscoff latte - This was good! We really enjoyed dipping the biscoff into the latte :-)

I came here for dinner and I want to try the breakfast soon bc I had a great experience. The service is very nice and attentive. The restaurant is very cute and the flowers for the shop gives a very nice ambiance. The food tasted great and looked even better. Definitely picture worthy. I'd be back to take my girls out, it gives girl vibes, I mean that in the best way. Although its a good date night option too. It's pricey but good for when you want to splurge. I highly recommend the Seoul Seafood Pasta, the sauce is delicious. The Fried Calamari was great too, the presentation made it even more tasty. The K.F.C (Korean Fried Chicken) was the best I've had, and I've only had it at Orchard City Kitchen-- its way better at GIWA. I ordered a decaf Madagascar latte bc their drinks looked soo good and it was late. The latte was absolutely delicious. Its slightly creamy and the expresso was smooth. I'd order a drink to go when in the area for sure. Their drinks are very good.

Ok this is seriously one of the most charming restaurants I've ever been in. From the moment you walk in you feel like you're in a tea party fantasy every girl dreams of! It's pink and filled with flowers. The space is large with several smaller private areas for large parties. The service here is stellar! They really know how to take care of their guests. We came here with a large party and were seated in one of the private areas which was so nice. We tried lots of dishes and drinks and everything was delicious! The portions are large and the prices are remarkably affordable. They even make their own maple syrup. They go all out celebrating birthdays here too!

I've been to GIWA twice now and can definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a good dining experience! They are a Korean-American fusion restaurant with an extensive menu full of delicious dishes and drinks. The floral-themed ambiance makes for a classy vibe and they also have a floral shop section. The service is very attentive and friendly, they definitely want to make sure you have an enjoyable dinner! Parking is challenging, the parking lot gets full quickly and the other spots in the lot are reserved by the other business. Both times I've visited, we had to do street parking in the neighborhood. I highly recommend any of these three meat dishes: GIWA Prime Long Rib - 5/5 This was mouthwatering, so tender and packed with rich flavors. and the side salad on the side provides a good balance to the flavors. Gochujang-Glazed Bossam - 5/5 The pork belly was also tender and full of flavor. Three dipping dishes are also included: fish sauce, ssam sauce, and a sesame sauce. I enjoyed trying each sauce with wrapped with the pork belly and lettuce. US Wagyu Steak with Cheese Dip - 5/5 This is another delicious dish, the cheese dip and GIWA green sauce enhanced the flavor of the already flavorful wagyu steak. Seafood pasta dishes: Creamy Uni Pasta - 4.5/5 I love uni, so this was right up my alley! It's an acquired taste, so you gotta like uni if you want to order this. Seoul Seafood Pasta - 4.5/5 This was another delicious pasta, full of seafood pieces and the spicy tomato sauce has a rich flavor. Other meat dishes: LA Galbi Omurice - 4/5 Big portions of omurice with the LA Galbi on the side. Great flavors for both the omurice and the meat! Korean Fried Chicken - 4/5 Coated with a sweet and spicy glaze, the chicken was crunchy and nicely fried. Appetizer: Grilled Corn Ribs - 3/5 This appetizer wasn't memorable, you can skip it unless you really like corn. Dessert and drinks: Souffle Pancake with Uji Matcha Cream - 4/5 This was a good dessert! The Uji Matcha Cream was very flavorful and yummy. Rose Mirage Ade, Black Sesame Latte - 4/5 I enjoyed both of these drinks! They pair well with all the delicious food!

I really enjoyed my last visit here so I came again and wanted to try new dishes. I really like how I can look at the pictures of the food on the iPad and order from there. I will say the food came out extremely fast. Galbi omurice (5/5): I think most omurice is drenched in normal Japanese curry, but this one is different. This sauce tastes like it's tomato based and has that sweet aromatic flavor. The rice was fried so it was packed with more flavor. The egg was typical. I thought there would be galbi in the omurice but it was on the side. The galbi was a bit underwhelming. Not too much flavor and just tender enough. Uni and tobiko rice pot (4/5): The portion was a bit small, but filling enough. The Uni did all the work by making it creamy and packed with umami flavor. The tobiko provided extra sparks of flavor. However that was a puddle of oil in the bottom of the bowl. Overall I enjoyed my time here and would like to come back.

I wanted to share a concern about a recent visit to The Cedar Room. During my time there, I observed a male manager or supervisor interacting with staff in a way that came across as rude, disrespectful, and belittling. Witnessing an employee being spoken to that way in front of guests created an uncomfortable atmosphere and reflected poorly on the overall experience. What made the situation even more disappointing was that after speaking to staff in this manner, the manager spent what appeared to be an extended period of time outside the front of the restaurant talking on his cellphone instead of being present on the floor. I believe employees deserve to be treated with respect, especially in front of guests. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as leadership sets the tone for both the workplace and the guest experience.

This is a review for their weekday Bar & Lounge Happy Hour (Tue - Thu 5pm - 10pm... yes, you read…read morethat right... all night Happy Hour). After our first visit last night, I think it's safe to say it is probably the best Happy Hour offering in the SF South Bay. Good quality, good value, great service and nice club/lounge ambiance. Here's what we shared food-wise... * HH Garlic Noodles -- This didn't quite meet my expectation. Described as a "perfectly cooked pasta tossed in rich garlic butter", what we got was more like a soft udon type noodle with a rather starchy garlic sauce. The taste was definitely very garlicky, but the dish could have been much better with an al dente pasta tossed in an actual garlic butter or olive oil. * HH Wagyu Smash Burger -- This was yum! Great flavor, nicely grilled served on a toasted soft brioche bun. ($15 on HH versus $32 witha side of fries on the Dinner Menu :o) * HH Hamachi Crudo -- This was superb! Fresh generous slices of yellowtail topped with sliced lemon, jalapeno, tobiko and microgreens, perfectly matched with Ponzu sauce. ($12 on HH for 4 pieces versus $23 for 5 pieces on the Dinner menu) * HH Crab Cakes -- 2 medium sized blue crab cakes with diced mango and spicy aioli. Pretty decent for $14. * HH Crispy Brussels Sprouts -- Good standard fare. For drinks, we enjoyed... * HH Weather Pinot Noir -- Our server, Mikayla, said it was her favorite wine on the HH menu. It was very nice. * HH Mango Deck -- Reposado, Jalapeno syrup, lime and mango puree with a 151 rum flambee. Great drink if you like sweet, sour and spicy... and it comes with a show as the 151 rum is lit. Will definitely return. Would love to try the HH Grand Seafood Tower with oysters, yellowtail and salmon sashimi, shrimp and lobster ($65 on HH) which we saw another table order. Looks like a great place for a larger party celebration too.

It was comforting, fragrant, gooey, and practically melted in your mouth. The truffle flavor was noticeable and added just enough depth without completely overpowering the cheese and creamy sauce. The Wagyu beef sliders were tender and seasoned really well. They're fun to eat and make for a good shareable option. The chilled oysters were also surprisingly fresh and refreshing. They were some of the fresher oysters I've had in a while, which was a pleasant surprise. Our server was friendly and attentive throughout the meal, checking in regularly. Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and drink selection enough that I'd definitely come back to try their happy hour. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely be stopping by.

For desserts, we had olive oil semifreddo, pandan flan, and mango sticky rice. The foods were very flavorful and amazing. The service was top notch. Our server Maria was awesome. She really took care of us. When we check in, we informed that one of us has peanut allergy, but when our salmon order came, we saw it came with peanut (which is the og menu) so she gave us an additional salmon without the peanut. On top of that she also offer us sodas but we didn't want it. She also ask if we want more kalbi since the chef had an extra plate, so yea of course we took it. The desserts were delicious too. They're unique and not overwhelmingly sweet. Thank you Maria for taking care of us! We appreciate you! We'll be back for sure! The ambiance was beautiful for dating, family time, or group time. It's not overly noisy.

*Vegetarian Foodie Review*…read more This place is right next to the Beer Garden, but it's more of a restaurant-style, dine-in format. I felt like there were limited dinner options for vegetarians. The food felt more like snacks and less like something that fills you up. We came as a group of 11 for a Father's Day weekend dinner. Ordered: 1) Lemonade: 5/5 - So good and refreshing. Must try! 2) Pita + Dips (from snacks): 4/5 - The 1st pita wasn't fully baked, but they fixed it by replacing it. 3) Chickpea Fritters: 4/5 - I am not a big fan of goat yogurt, but if you do like it, this would be a 5/5. The taste and feel felt like India style which was a hit! 4) Grilled corn: 2/5 - No one in my group liked this. It was too sweet because of the caramel, not a good combination. We sat outside on the patio, but the inside ins awesome too. It's a fancy place, good for celebrations and special occasions. But yeah, the food wasn't fulling, we left a little hungry. Service was a little too slow, but that's okay given it was Father's Day weekend.

Lots of whisky based drink options as well as several beers on draft and select wines. Lots of specialty drinks too to tickle your fancy as yours truly isn't a big whisky drinker. Give me vodka or gin please. Anyway, ambiance is cool with several lounge tables to communal tables and bar seating. Bar bites from chicken karaage to agadashi tofu to burger! Can also order from the full menu of Adrestia, official restaurant of hotel. Service is friendly and efficient. Prices for drinks range from $14-20- going rate nowadays. Cheers to 2026! It had an upscale vibe, but it was in the lobby of a hotel! The menu was interesting -- Japanese whiskey cocktails mainly -- and some food items. If you ask, you can get a little dish of nuts as a complimentary snack with your cocktails. The cocktails were delicious, like the "East Meets West", with most cocktails ranging from $16-20. They have a separate menu for wine and champagne that they brought us awhile later. I think you may need to ask for that if they don't give that to you right away. The drinks were delicious and made pretty quickly, but if you expect table service at this lounge, you may be waiting a long time. We found that the best way to get drinks here is to go to the bar to order, and they can bring the drinks over (or you can wait for them, of course). For the price, I'd expect better service but you may need to go further than Sunnyvale. Overall I think Nokori is a decent bar lounge, and I love the niche is on Japanese whiskey.

I wouldn't say anything was especially amazing, but it's a good option if you're a student or looking for a budget-friendly meal. The place was also pretty busy when we went, which says something! My favorite was the soy garlic chicken, it's the only thing I enjoy here. I personally didn't really enjoy the two soup dishes, especially the seafood soup (seafood tasted a bit fishy), but for the price, I couldn't ask for more. Overall, decent food for the price and a casual place to grab Korean food in Santa Clara, I would go back for the chicken.

The food menu is fairly limited, so it's clear that this is more of a drinking spot than a destination for dinner. We ordered the boneless soy garlic chicken and pork bulgogi. Both tasted good at first, but the sauces became increasingly overpowering as we ate, and we ultimately did not finish either dish. The flavors could use a little more balance. Overall, I'd rate the food a 3/5. However, if you're mainly looking for a casual place to drink with friends and share a few snacks, the experience is closer to a 4/5.

I thought some dishes were great; the wagyu burger was decadent. Other dishes were not that special. The scallops didn't taste too fresh (likely frozen) and combining them with hummus didn't quite work. The side of bread was practically insulting. $5 for stale table bread was a surprise. Dishes arrived very late; we were nearly forgotten when we tried to order, and then after ordering, we waited 40 minutes between appetizers and the main course. Not because they were cooking it; they just forgot we were there and when they brought out the dishes, the scallops were no longer just-cooked, and the burger had been sitting for a bit. No apology, just an acknowledgment it was late, and no discount (not even on the stale bread). They offered us wine, we said we didn't drink, and they just moved on. I debated a lot about how to review this. It's my personal experience that was disappointing, and I'm glad some reviews are very upbeat. But there's a handful of reviews noting frustrating delays... and that needs to be worked on.
