Dinner menu: Prime Long Rib (Chef's signature): the meat was so tender and it's more on the sweeter side. US Wagyu Steak with Cheese Dip: Went for medium rare, it tasted a bit overcooked. Their steaks flavor was well seasoned. It comes with crispy bread bites goes well with their dipping sauces. I also dipped the sauce with the steak which gave it even more flavor. Bulgogi Cream Pasta: creamy flavorful pasta in every bite. It comes with crispy garlic bread. LA galbi Omurice: Creamy egg rice packed with flavors. My favorite dishes were prime long ribs and bulgogi pasta! The atmosphere of this place, feels like you're at a flower shop and cafe. They served brunch and now dinner too. One of our new favorites in Santa Clara! Stopped by GIWA with our friends after work & we had the best time. Arrived ~5pm, there was a solid amount of parking in the lot and the interior was really spacious. We were immediately sat & brought water while we looked at the menu. We got some savory items while we our friends were in a bit more of a brunch mood - loved how much variety that had available to choose from. GIWA is such a super cute girly restaurant! When I first walked in, I was wowed at the interior design and the beautiful flowers by the entrance. I made a reservation for 2pm and was seated immediately. Parking was a bit of a challenge so be sure to come early! I ordered the Korean pork cutlet along with a matcha latte. The matcha latte was great but nothing special. The pork cutlet was delicious and super crispy! It came with a side of coleslaw salad and rice which paired well with the cutlet. We got Buttermilk honey comb, Berry bliss pancake, Pork cutlet tonketsu comb, Mildang potato truffle honey, & the Giwa special salmon towers. Tried the lobster garlic noodle, and it was really flavorful and creamy. I was worried that the lobster would be overcooked, but it was actually very tender. The black sesame French toast pleasantly surprised me with how tall the toast was (not flat like typical French toast), and there were layers inside similar to eating cake. French toast was not too sweet, which I prefer for my desserts. The service was amazing, I was holding the lobster shell and didn't know where to set it down and my waiter came over and told me to give it to him, with a napkin in his hands. The ambience was so beautiful, the restaurant is definitely one of those Instagram photo spots. There are chandeliers and flowers surrounding the restaurant. Food was just okay, low value for what you are paying for. Both the uni pasta and chopped steak rice was over $30. Both were a bit salty and we questioned why we ended up paying close to $100 for 2 entrees and one drink. The staff were nice but very absent, which is an issue when we were each given one small glass of water and we were rarely checked on. It took a while for us to get the food but the drink also took a long time until we had to wave someone down to check on it. The beet salad was fresh and light. The burrata cheese on the salad added more flavor and texture to the salad. The chicken was okay, wished the portion was a bit bigger. The service was amazing! SUCH a cute restaurant!! You are greeted with loads and loads of flowers right when you walk through the door - available for purchase! We came on a Thursday night at 6:15pm, and it was pretty empty inside so we were seated right away. The restaurant started to fill up a bit by the 7pm mark, but plenty of parking. There are tablets to order at your table, and the service is super quick once you place your order. For drinks, we got the einspanner latte and the biscoff latte, both iced. We got the classic rosé tteokbokki as an appetizer and the creamy corn kimchi fried rice for the main dish. The food came within 10 minutes of placing the order. The lattes were both very creamy, not too sweet, and pretty refreshing on a hot day. They also came with super cute heart straws! The portions of the dishes were quite large. The tteokbokki dish had plenty of long chewy rice cakes and soft fish cakes, with the creamy rosé sauce coating each bite. The creamy corn around the fried rice had a great cheese pull, and the rice was umami and flavorful. Since it is the grand opening, we were gifted two free ice creams - the strawberry & cream parfait and the banana & chocolate parfait. The strawberry & cream parfait had frozen strawberry chunks inside, and the banana & chocolate parfait was buttery, almost reminiscent of salted caramel. The milk cream on top of both was delicious. The ambiance and food plating are unmatched! Most beautiful and aesthetically pleasing restaurant I've been to. The servers are kind and while you wait you get to explore and take photos in their small flower shop area. The food was above average, omurice and that breakfast platter was honestly just okay. The salmon tower is delicious and they give a generous amount of avocado and their butter spread to put onto the bagel. The ingredients are definitely fresh and delicious, I would get it again. Salmon is creamy however the other ingredients if you were to make a sandwich like me, it gets overpowered and flavor of the salmon is not noticeable at all. The garlic lemon lobster pasta is good but not the best. The sauce could be doing a lot more but they gave us a reasonable amount of lobster which a lot of places fail to do. The lobster is delicious. For the drinks, they're just mid. I personally got the dawn violet ade and the syrup kept settling to the bottom so I could only drink the top no matter how much I mixed it... Ok this is seriously one of the most charming restaurants I've ever been in. From the moment you walk in you feel like you're in a tea party fantasy every girl dreams of! It's pink and filled with flowers. The space is large with several smaller private areas for large parties. The service here is stellar! They really know how to take care of their guests. Confession time....I was a Giwa hater on my first visit. Nothing about what we ordered screamed memorable to me and it just wasn't worth the wait. My friends dragged me back a second time and glad they did. Two dishes did it. The black sesame Hong Kong style French toast is decadent, shareable, and just the right amount of sweetness. Then the chicken and waffles are a fave combo of mine on any menu. The sweet and savory combo of juicy chicken paired with mochi-style waffles that balance the whole thing out perfectly. The vibe is adorable too. They've got a little flower shop tucked inside, which is such a fun surprise. Girls' brunch, first date, mom visit, this place fits it all. The menu is massive, so I'm sure there are other fire things on there as well as some misses, but honestly, that French toast alone is worth the trip. I'll be back for it.....would I wait for it? Parking is challenging, the parking lot gets full quickly and the other spots in the lot are reserved by the other business. Both times I've visited, we had to do street parking in the neighborhood. I highly recommend any of these three meat dishes: GIWA Prime Long Rib - 5/5 This was mouthwatering, so tender and packed with rich flavors. and the side salad on the side provides a good balance to the flavors. Gochujang-Glazed Bossam - 5/5 The pork belly was also tender and full of flavor. Three dipping dishes are also included: fish sauce, ssam sauce, and a sesame sauce. US Wagyu Steak with Cheese Dip - 5/5 This is another delicious dish, the cheese dip and GIWA green sauce enhanced the flavor of the already flavorful wagyu steak. I will say the food came out extremely fast. Galbi omurice (5/5): I think most omurice is drenched in normal Japanese curry, but this one is different. This sauce tastes like it's tomato based and has that sweet aromatic flavor. The rice was fried so it was packed with more flavor. The egg was typical. I thought there would be galbi in the omurice but it was on the side. The galbi was a bit underwhelming. Not too much flavor and just tender enough. Uni and tobiko rice pot (4/5): The portion was a bit small, but filling enough. The Uni did all the work by making it creamy and packed with umami flavor. The tobiko provided extra sparks of flavor. Come with an appetite. We ordered Double Double wagyu burger and Korean Pork Cutlets. The Wagyu burger was almost as good as The Samurai Burger Shibuya Japan we had last September, flavorful and enough for two moderate appetites and my wife loved the sweet potato fries. My pork cutlet dish was enough to feed a small army so much so I ate the leftovers for lunch today. The sauce on the cutlets sauce though Korean inspired was A little too sweet for me but still not bad, I used the sweet potato aioli sauce on the cutlets. I must admit I was surprised how fancy the decor was compared to the exterior. Date of Visit: 6/13/2026 GIWA is one of the most popular fancy brunch place in Santa Clara area. The restaurant is decorated with flowers, and you can actually purchase flowers from the menu for your loved one. On the menu there is a blend of Californian cooking style with Korean cuisine, including kalbi, bibimbap, mixing with uni and seafood. We made a reservation about 2 weeks before our visit, and were seated right away. The server was quite attentive. However, during our visit, there were two waiter and waitress drop the plates nearby our table. The first waiter dropped a plate with lobster shell and red sauce just next to out table. The other waitress later dropped a plate and an empty beer bottle, while the bottle was bouncing on the floor and broke during the third collision. Uji Matcha Violet Cream Latte $8 I got the matcha and creamy lavender latte. Grilled Corn Ribs $11 For our appetizer, we ordered the grilled corn ribs with gochujang butter and mayonnaise. The sauce was too much so the corn was mixed with plenty of sauce and too wet. Korean Pork Cutlet $27 Crispy pork cutlet served with cabbage salad and macaroni. On the side there was steamed rice and a separate bowl of house-made tonkatsu sauce. Seoul Seafood Pasta $38 One of my favorite dishes of the day was the spaghetti tossed in spicy tomato sauce with a mixture of seafood, including lobster tail, clams, mussels, scallop and shrimp. Giwa has crafted an immersive experience which is equally elevated and cute, with some of my favorite pieces being the bubble drink glasses, center bar, and over table chandeliers. A quick search of the images will tell you just what to expect. The ambiance is most definitely the highlight of this establishment, with the food being a second thought. I would hardly say the food is bad. However, the quality of food does not match the quality of the decor. Sauces are plain and feel straight out of a premade container. Limeade was decent, while the matcha was grainy and lacking flavor. If I had to rate the food on its own, it's strong 3 out of 5. Service is on point too, someone walks you through the menu as soon as you're seated and water refills just kind of... happen before you even think to ask. Pricing is pretty reasonable for most things, though the pastry and cake options feel a little steep for the size you get. Pretty tasty food, great for family-style option to share across the table. Prettiest place ever! Cleanest bathrooms EVER!!! But when I tried asking for service it took awhile for them to get me (I was in a corner so no fault to them!) But I probably wouldn't ever go back because the food is just mediocre? I tried a bit of things but I would probably only go here to take pictures or look at pretty things! Be prepared to wait for a table on the weekend and budget extra time to find a vacant spot in their small parking lot. As for the meal, the Uni pasta was fantastic and the Japanese souffles were good, but I recommend staying away from the regular pancakes since they were super dry. I have been here two times, once around early afternoon and the second time is in the evening. If you go on off-times it's easier to get in. During busy hours definitely get yourself on the waitlist as soon as possible. This place used to be a bar and they have transformed it into a beautiful sit down restaurant. It's spacious and has a little flower shop in a corner. I went with friends for dinner and we decided on two appetizers, truffle potato pancake and the mushroom confit salad to share. We each got our own main entrees, I got the special uni rice bowl, my friends decided on the cheese stuffed hamburg steak and the creamy uni pasta. The mushroom confit salad was absolutely delicious! Every part of the salad was cohesive and works wonderfully. The potato pancake was also delicious but super rich. I was thankful to share that with everyone. There's no way I would have been able to eat that all by myself. The uni rice came in a small cast iron dish. It was bubbling hot and definitely creamy. Every bite was delicious and very rich.
