Tried their Butter Chicken and Garlic naan. Their version of Butter Chicken has a more tomato flavor, also sweet, with less curry flavor; a bit muted on the spices. Thinner gravy. It had dark chicken meat in big chunks which were tender. The garlic naans have visible garlic on them but not as garlicky as it looked. They were fluffy and chewy but were burnt instead of well roasted. The mango lassi was good and has option to add boba without change in price of $7. I thought the lassi was pretty small portion especially for the size. The mango and yogurt were pretty muted in the lassi. I ordered to go and food was ready earlier than expected.

Butter Chicken Social was sooooo cool! After a cycling class in downtown Sunnyvale, a close friend and I decided to try this place, which is only 5 minutes away. This place appeared on my radar by the power of Tik Tok. The venue has ample guest parking and is part of a larger plaza behind it. The interior is well furnished with cushioned seating and chairs. The dining room is spacious and sleek in design. We entered around 8 pm, and there were only 2 other diners already in the restaurant. I decided to order 3 items: Masala Fries, Boba Mango Lassi, and Butter Chicken with Naan. It was around $30 for dinner. After 10 minutes, my food was delivered to my table. They have cutlery and napkins at each table and jugs of water near the cashier. The Masala Fries were what I expected- crunch, crispy, and well seasoned but not too salty. The Boba Mango Lassi was good, but it wasn't that chilled to my liking. The texture was smooth and creamy, and the pearls in the drink were chewy and fresh for sure. Great way to balance out the saltiness! The butter chicken had a beautiful color with deep hues of brown and other sauces mixed in. The chicken pieces were good portion sized and cooked well. The Naan was 4 pieces and paired well to soak in the butter chicken sauce. Great place that left me feeling absolutely stuffed with a food coma!! Would come here a second time to try their chicken sandwich.

IMO, the hardest cuisine to nail is "Fusion" esp AZN Fusion. Most can't get it right with watered down flavors and weird pairings. Remember the ramen burger?! And, then trying to appease, "That's not how my mama makes it" crowd. Fuhgeddaboudit. But, there's always exceptions. Like Butter Chicken Social, an Indo-American eatery. Located in Sunnyvale....CHECK! Filled with natives....CHECK! Both very promising signs since Sunnyvale is the place in the bay to go for Indian food. Butter Chicken Social is open for takeout, delivery, and dine-in (indoor seating only). Drive thru to come (converted McD). M E N U Indo-American Cuisine: Apps (e.g. paneer puffs, paneer spring rolls, butter chicken bomba "croquettes"), Wraps + Sandwiches, and Nachos + Pasta in tikka/butter sauce. Nothing crazy but fusion items that make sense. Halal meats used. For dessert, they have soft serve (chai and chocolate) and gulab jamun (milk balls soaked in rose syrup) cheesecake. For drinks, they have mango lassi (comes w/ boba), chai, and bottled drinks. F O O D * Tandoori Drumsticks w/ malai mint sauce (2 pc - $10): http://tinyurl.com/mtj63mdj Well-spiced and flavorful with a nice smoky char. However, as I was chewing, I noticed the texture was off. Upon further inspection, I found the chicken was raw in the center. More on that later. * Egg & Chicken Tikka Kati Roll w/ mint cilantro chutney ($14): http://tinyurl.com/54bpbszy While on the smaller side, the kati roll was deliciously satisfying. The wrap was soft and chewy with a layer of egg cooked onto it, filled with flavorful morsels of tender chicken (dark meat) and creamy herbaceous chutney for dipping. Would def get again with a side of ghost chili (+$1) for some heat. S E R V I C E Fast-casual. Order at the counter, grab a number placard, and seat yourself. There's self-serve water on top of the bottled drinks. They were pretty busy and food took about 10 minutes to arrive. After we were finished, I went to the counter to let the cashier know that the chicken [drumstick] was still raw in the center. She offered to have it recooked but I told her, I was only letting them know for feedback purposes. Several moments later, the owner (?) came out to apologize and asked if we wanted anything to take home. I politely declined and we went back and forth. They gave us mango lassi for the road. My rec is to drop the boba. It was mushy and an unnecessary add-in since you can find boba everywhere in the area. Alternatively, I think basil seeds would work better. Unlike boba, they retain their chewy texture. A M B I A N C E Casual and contemporary with cerulean blue banquettes and 12-14 tables. P A R K I N G They have their own parking lot. Overall, solid Indo-American fare and this is coming from someone who likes their food boldly spiced. Despite the chicken mishap, keeping it a 4 star because the owner and staff were apologetic and tried to make things right (I didn't get sick). And, they were less than 2 weeks young at the time. Def coming back for them Indo-Chinese Wings!

What a unique find in the area. Fusion Indian food in a fast-casual setting? I'M DEFINITELY THERE! The menu has a lot to offer, and our food came out very quick. Great for big groups! I ordered the Butter Chicken with Rice. This is a bit expensive for the portion, but packed with flavor! It is spicy, creamy, and the chicken was SO TENDER. We also got the Masala Fries, which has the best texture! Very satisfying and came with desi ketchup. Honestly... pass on the BCS Chicken Sandwich. The flavors were pretty tasty, but it way too much fried batter for me. It distracted too much from the chicken itself. The sauce was more like a buffalo sauce than a butter chicken sauce.

Butter chicken social had been on my list to try since late last year and thankfully I was finally able to try! The fiancé and I decided to make a quick dinner pit stop. This is a cute chic Indian fusion spot and great if you're into butter chicken. The service is casual where you order at the front and then find your seat . We ended up ordering on grub hub and eating there. We ordered: * kerala fried chicken - this was good and had nice flavor, however I wish the chicken was more crispy and a little more spiced up than what we got. It was nice the chicken was juicy though * butter chicken bomba - I would skip these bc for 7 bucks you only get 2 and personally I did not feel like I could really taste the butter chicken flavor in the bites. I did like how they were very crispy though and served hot * chicken Kathi roll - I enjoyed this and loved how it was full chicken and all the different flavors. This was really yummy * BCS burger - this was a crispy fried chicken burger and I really liked this. It was a standard chicken burger with yummy sauces and lots of flavor. Me and the fiancé demolished this! * masala fries - these were delicious and was a great accompaniment to the Kathi roll and the burger! Overall the food was yummy and it was a unique spot to try out!

Came across this new restaurant online and decided to try it as we were looking for a Friday night dinner but nothing fancy and just good food. The reviews on YELP looked very interesting and the pictures looked great. We arrived around 6PM and the restaurant was not too busy. Extremely clean, polished and looking sparkling new dining area had a few tables occupied. You order at the counter and as the restaurant name suggests, everything (expect some vegetarian options) is based on chicken. We opted for a fried chicken sandwich, butter chicken meal and butter chicken nachos. Tried a sample of the chai tea, it was amazing but I didn't want anything too sweet with dinner. So passed on getting a chai... The food was served very quickly, the chicken sandwich was moist and crunchy with great flavor, it was served with a side of fries. The nachos were just amazing, the chips were nice and crunchy, the chicken was extremely soft and the flavor was excellent. The butter chicken meal was great and the same quality of chicken with a great sauce. Will definitely be back again and hope their business does great over time.

3.5 stars and rounding up to 4 -- not a bad spot for fast casual Indian fusion in Sunnyvale but prices are definitely a bit steep even for the bay area in my opinion. We tried the BCS chicken sandwich (regular), BCS wings (5 count with schwan sauce), and boba mango lassi. Our total for these 3 items came out to be over $40 including tax and tip. Moving onto the food itself. The mango lassi was delightful and I loved that it wasn't overly sweet; however, it is $8 for a medium sized cup and I wish it was a bigger size for the price. The chicken sandwich and wings were both super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the sauce on the sandwich definitely added a unique and flavorful twist to your average chicken sandwich. The wings came out fresh and piping hot which I appreciated (since it did take a while for them to be ready), and the schwan sauce gave a bit of a kick to the dish. I will also add that the sandwich usually comes with fries, but we opted out since we had fries earlier in the day.

Clean, modern, and delicious. The kebab didn't disappoint. A complete 5/5. Great seating. The menu does have a bunch of good options. The chilli chicken bao was okay. 3/5 from me. Service is prompt. Overall, a must try place for chicken lovers in Sunnyvale.

The new butter chicken social in Sunnyvale is cute and trendy with a beautiful interior and bright feel. I appreciated the nice fast casual slow, water glasses available, and silverware at the table. I ordered the following: - butter chicken nachos - butter chicken and sauce was delicious! However chips were sub par - butter chicken sandwich - I didn't taste the butter chicken flavor too much. It was a good chicken sandwich with tender chicken and a thick breading, but it wasn't saucy like I was expecting. It was a little heavy on the condiments which overtook the flavor - garlic naan - delicious! 10/10 naan, came in 4 triangle pieces. I wish I had another order! Fluffy, buttery, and great flavor Overall a very cute interior and fun menu of fusion items. Not all the food items hit perfectly on the mark but I'm so glad I tried it!

We came here literally 10 mins before closing and they graciously let us sit in and finish our meal. The place was almost empty at that time so we appreciate that consideration. We ordered the butter chicken roll with egg and chicken drumsticks and a tikka pasta for my toddler. The chicken rolls were amazing, probably one of the best I have had in the area. The pasta too was really flavorful and good and my son enjoyed it quite a bit(and he is a picky eater), the tandoori legs were unfortunately not that great. It looked amazing and I was drooling just by looking at them but there wasn't much flavor to it. It just tasted very blend despite looking so mouth watering. I am happy to come back anytime again to try more dishes here and ofc for the rolls!

Came for lunch on a Wednesday after dropping my car off for service across the street and it was pretty popping. You order at the counter first and then you get a number to put on your table, so they'll bring the food right out to me. I got the BCS Chicken Sandwich which was like a fried chicken burger. The chicken part was good but there was too much breading. I had lots of the fried breading just fall off (with no chicken inside) that I didn't bother eating. It might have been over cooked a bit as well, it was too crunchy on the sides. I also got the boba mango lassi. I love boba and I love mango lassi, but I didn't need boba inside my mango lassi. Would prefer if there was an option to get the mango lassi without the boba in the future. I really REALLY really liked the garlic naan. I'm a simple creature, I guess. I also got the fries but I finished my whole meal and it didn't come out yet. I had to ask the counter for it and they were surprised it didn't come out yet either. It's okay, I was pretty full and I got the fries to-go. It came with some desi ketchup that was pretty good. But, the fries are nothing special - I'd recommending skipping it. The bathroom was clean and nice as well. Lastly, whoever was on aux put a Justin Bieber playlist on. Every single song was a Justin Bieber song. LOVE. THANK YOU. Best part of my dining experience!! How'd they know another Belieber (me) was there?

I have very high standards for restaurants so this review is very critical. Having said that. This restaurant is really really up there. My god. I don't think I've had food this good in the Bay Area I ordered the tangdi kebab, the kerala fried chicken, chicken tikka masala and tandoori roti, garlic naan The kerala fried chicken was 20/10. I cannot emphasize how good this dish is. The chef is a god amongst men. He peppered it with fried coconut flakes! This is excellent. The tangdi kebab was falling off of the bone. It was so well done. 10/10 The chicken tikka masala. Felt like it was homemade. You know that scene in ratatouille when the food critic eats it and feels like it's his mom's cooking? That's what it was like. The service from the owner was amazing. He prepared a fresh lime soda for us with full details. Ambiance is extremely well done. Minimalistic design that feels upper class and CLEAN. I think this is a masterclass in small business restaurant design. Others should take notes. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Only one critique: the garlic naan was a bit undercooked. But forgivable since everything else was too good. Food was also very low oil and healthy

It seems people usually get takeout here, because it's not usually too busy, but you will see people coming in and out. It's quite spacious, and the inside feels quite modern. This is like an upscale-ish Indian fast food spot, so unsurprisingly the price is a little expensive for the amount they give. Since it is fast food, expect fast food service. The food itself was pretty good. The naan was the perfect texture of crispy and soft, and the curry was very delicious. The chicken sandwich and fries were also pretty good. It's a solid spot taste wise. The fries were also crispy and kind of unique-ish- def worth a try. Since it's quite close to where we live, we could see ourselves coming here again.

You could stumble upon it through Yelp (as we did), discover it while staying at the adjacent Treehouse Hotel, or simply hear about it through word of mouth. The parking situation is an interesting one. After turning into the driveway from Mathilda Avenue, you have two options: turn right for valet parking or left into the Google parking lot. There are plenty of spaces available, though parking there is technically at your own risk. The restaurant told us they had not heard of anyone being ticketed or towed. We first dined here shortly after it opened in 2025 and were immediately impressed by the beautiful grounds. The hotel's eco-conscious gift shop, housed in a glass greenhouse and featuring a colorful vintage VW Bug, is a charming touch. The short walk to the restaurant feels especially relaxing on a warm, sunny day. This has become one of our favorite places to bring friends or host girls' lunches. With three distinct seating options: the dining room, bar, and patio, there's an atmosphere to suit just about any occasion, whether you're dining as a couple or gathering with a larger group. I would recommend visiting during lunch or dinner service and skipping the in-between hours. During that time, only the bar area is open and the menu is more limited. The Cielo Rosa, with mezcal and jalapeño has a lot going on as well. The forager had great mushroom flavor and loved the roasted garlic. The first bites were great- wish they could have kept the crust crispier for later bites. (Heated plate works well) The beet salad was really good. The crushed pistachios really contrasted well with the beets.

I initially tried some bites from Roger at the flavors of the Peninsula event and was so impressed…read morewith the lamb meatballs and sauce. I decided to come check out the restaurant. The vibe is really cute and tons of outdoor space with games. We came in on a weeknight for dinner and a few drinks. Service was a little slow- our cocktails came after our food items, but staff were friendly. We ordered a few items to share. The strawberry salad was a standout, very fresh ingredients and delicious blend of toppings. We did not add a protein but that was an option. I also enjoyed the shrimp and flatbread. The shrimp had good flavor and was cooked well. The flatbread with duck confit had some heavy toppings with goat cheese and thick glaze. Both were a little too rich for me, but I enjoyed them. Our drinks were tasty and fresh. Overall, we had a good experience and I would go again!

Tldr: Ludwig's cares…read more Ludwig's always hits the spot. The portion is always great in consideration for the cost of the dishes. I've come multiple times, solo, and with friends, and I've never had a bad experience. The service has always been consistent in the way that this establishment always take care of their guests. Every guest around you is always having a good time. This is a key component that you want to experience in a restaurant setting. Masha took care of me today (and multiple other customers at the same time.) I observed and received nothing short of what is expected in a restaurant setting in Mountain View on Castro Street: Quality service, and great suggestions. I think guests sometimes overlook the novelty of being able to enjoy your time in the establishment you choose to dine at. Folks seem to be in such a rush these days. It's nice to slow down and enjoy the sunshine and hustle/bustle of the world around while enjoying a quality meal and some sunshine or indoors while letting the wind sweep your table top. P.s. if you ever have some issues with your experience--talk to the staff. Don't leave a low quality yelp review. It doesn't help anything besides, perhaps, one's self esteem.

Fun beer garden with a nice outdoor area, a popcorn machine, Happy Hours, and trivia on Wednesdays!…read moreI arrived with my gal pal during happy hour to snack on some bites and have a beer. It was a sunny day and the weather was beautiful (but slightly hot), luckily we got a table as there were reserved seats around us. For happy hour, we got their happy hour sampler which included, 2 spaetzle cheese balls, a pretzel with sweet mustard, pickled veggies, and a cheese sausage/brat wrapped in pastry dough. We also ordered some jager fries (fries with mushroom gravy/jager sauce, cheese, and green onions). The wrapped sausage was the standout! We also ordered two half liter beers - I love the selection of German beers and local beers. This being a biergarten, of course we went German. Overall, a beautiful way to spend an afternoon! I would definitely try non-happy hour menu items and try to make my way down their beer list.
