We were out at Lowe's picking up some shelving and decided to see what's in the area for dinner. Baba's kitchen came up in our search. This is a food truck parked in the gas station. There's some seating available for fine in option but the business is primarily to go. The owner and his wife - really friendly people - are from Nepal. We ordered some samosas, egg fried rice and spicy tofu with vegetables. The owner gave us some hot 'welcome' tea while we waited for our food. It was cold and the tea ( chai?) was very much appreciated. The food was well packaged and portion size was good. Food was delicious. Loved the tofu ! He also gave us some extra spicy sauce to try! I've been here two times and I quite like this place. Chicken Momos - 5/5, as good as any you'll get from a Nepali food truck in the bay. Juicy, fresh and piping hot! Chicken fried rice - 3.5/5, I requested this to be lighter in oil, and that probably took away some of the flavor. I felt it was slightly bland and could've had more flavor. The amount of chicken was also slightly less, I wish there was more. I would ask them to make it spicy, if possible. I've also tried both the Chowmein and the Gobi Manchurian from here at a friend's place and I recommend them. I remember the Gobi Manchurian to be a good balance of spice and sweet and crispy. They also have afternoon lunch combos, where they do momos, fried rice/chowmein and a chicken/gobi/tofu chilli. I missed this last time because I didn't know about it until I went there to pickup :(. Sel roti is amazing & they give it with potato achaar (pickle) and vegetable curry. It's the best I've found in the bay area for its taste & its price. I loved their chowmein for the same reasons. The location is good. They have seating near the truck. A lot of parking is available. Service is great. Sometimes they give tea (chai, chiya) for free. read more

The BEST momos I have had in the US. The mutton Tass was also delicious, you can't go wrong with anything from here!!!

We had takeout from this truck and enjoyed our meal. Pretty good indo chinese food. Chicken momos were perfect Egg fried rice and Chicken ChowMein were well done, seemed less oily than at other places, generous portion sizes. Gobi Manchurian was on the sweeter side and disappointing. read more

It was raining when we went and he offered us a cup of tea while we warm up in the car. He brought our food out to us while we waited in the car as well. ***FOOD: one of the reasons I picked this truck in addition to the great reviews was because I saw the use of eco friendly leaf based plates and compostable plates in the few images. I was disappointed when we were served our food in the regular black plastic take out containers. Anyway, we got jhol momo, egg fried rice and chicken chowmein. My partner had a job down in the South Bay and decided to pick up some food for him and I. Even after an hour and a half drive back up to the East Bay, the food was still yummy! Their to-go containers retained all the heat which allowed the food to still be super fresh. Packaging was very travel friendly. Nothing was spilled, soggy or melted. Food was a flavor bomb! The chicken momo filling was seasoned to perfection, and their orange sauce (I'm not too sure that the name of it is) pairs perfectly with them. Fried rice and noodles were excellent as well! All in all, the food is so good, you wouldn't even believe me if I told you this was all from a food truck. Of all the momos I've had in my life, the ones at Baba's truck stand out by a lot. They are very generously stuffed and have a lot more seasoning (curry?) than the other places I've tried. So far I've only had the steamed chicken ones but in my defense they are so good we have trouble convincing ourselves to try anything else. Even my kids, who are weirded out when dumplings have squishy fillings, thought these were delicious. I think the owner thinks it's odd that we show up and just get 2-3 orders of steamed chicken momos each time but whatever. The owner is super nice and when he saw my kids looking antsy once he let them see inside the truck. I was amazed by how clean and organized it was inside-- somehow I thought it would be more chaotic. read more

This new food truck just popped in sunnyvale by chevron in fair oaks. This is where momo mafia food truck used to be. The foods are pretty similar to what presviously was there. I liked that they had their momo handmade. This tastes so differently delicious from machine made ones. The pani puri was also veru flavorful. The orders were prepares and served really quick . There is outside tent only at night which is a convenience for those dining there. Loved it & will be back again soon. read more

Looking for something new, stopped in at the Truck about 6:30 PM on a Wednesday. Had Chicken Jhol Momos, Chili Chicken, Gobi Manchurian, Chicken Chow Mein, and spicy(!!) sausage. Everything was delicious. I asked for spicy sausage and it was too hot for me (rare) and everything else was very good. Service was very helpful and patient and I got a good sense the person taking my order was very interested in me enjoying my food and asked questions and made suggestions. It was a cool day so we did not enjoy the outdoor seating and took it all home. Would go back any time (skipping the sausage next time). read more
