    Mixed vegetables
    Grace X.

I have ordered from here for work lunch twice. The food is pretty good, both times I got the mixed vegetables and they were very flavorful with a nice texture. However their takeout packaging needs some work, they use plastic containers and wrap them up in plastic wrap but even then both times the oil from my dish spilled out of the container and the plastic wrap and coated the bottom of the container. Since there is also oil in the plastic wrap at that point, unwrapping the wrap to open up the food just makes a huge oily mess. I'm sure dining in is a much better experience. In terms of the menu they have plenty of labelled vegetarian dishes, but not too many seem to be vegan friendly. I did call to confirm the mixed vegetables do not contain ghee so at least that one should be vegan, but most of their other vegetarian curries seem to have paneer or cream. Overall the food is definitely pretty good but would love more vegan options (and labelling) and better food packaging for delivery.

This restaurant has Ian's vote!!! We have been slowly introducing Ian to Desi food. His preference is Pakistani style food that has flavor from spices, but does not carry heat from chilis. Ian loved the Goat curry. The Naans were fluffy and easy to tear into, and bite into. The gentleman who prepared the curry brought over another bowl full of gravy (Picture attached). That was a nice touch. Goat Biriyani was plentiful and packed flavor. Tandoori chicken leg was A-OK. It was a little bit on the drier side. Overall, we ate a lot of food and had a lot of food leftover too. Great value on the price. Seating is plentiful inside. Check this restaurant out guys!

One of my go to Indian spots. Love they are open late night. Tandoori chicken, daal, and garlic naans is what I usually get. Free chai is a bonus. Dining area roomy, clean, and simple. Park near El Pollo loco

Went here with my colleagues for lunch. It was easy to find a table. You have to order the food at the counter. Service was pretty fast. The food here is very yummy. Everything was flavorful. Specially the chicken seekh kabab and chicken tandoori. Would highly recommend trying those.

Came here right after a dentist appointment at iSmile almost right next door on the same shopping strip in the late afternoon. Ordered take out, but should have phoned up, as took 45 minutes to prepare. No reason to eat here in person, as the decor of the main eating room is like the bathroom -bare white walls floor to ceiling. $12 Baigan Bharta was way too watery, almost a soup, when it should have been pulverized eggplant. My wife normally loves Baigan Bharta, particularly from Satkar, up a few blocks before 85, or Ganesha on Kiely in Santa Clara. Not this time. $15 Chicken tikka marsala had too strong a flavor of tomato, and not enough butter nor onion flavor. Looks like they ran out of tikka marsala sauce and substituted tomato sauce. At least one other review has mentioned this. $15 chicken kofta best of the three dishes with three billiard ball size minced chicken meatballs in a greasy sauce, so much grease that it was flammable, and not allowed on plane trips. Wife didn't eat the rest of the Baigan Bharta. After 20 years of marriage I knew who was going to do clean up duty.

We originally go here for masala tea, but to our surprise that it's free. I like that they don't have sugar in the tea because I prefer light sugar. This is a self service place like many other Indian restaurants. We have not try the food yet, but I will update this information later when we here again.

The service was quick, and the tables were clean. Order at the counter and wait for amazing food. We have been coming here for the last 15 years and love the food (spices) We have tried almost all the vegetarian dishes, and this visit we had veg Kofta and Aachari Paneer. The only regret is they do not serve eggless Aaloo Naan, else it would be great! Would recommend this place any time.

Those nights when you are out with friends and looking for satisfying food, this place always comes up in suggestions. Open till 3 am on weekends, this place serves authentic Indian/Pakistani flavors. Naan is well cooked which is kind of a deciding factor for me to know if the place is good or not. Complimentary tea is also available. Ambience is not that great, so no high hopes there. Service time is quick.

I ordered the chicken tikka masala, the crazy curry fries, and a mango lassi. I was fully knocked out. The chai at the register is also so delicious and free, you should definitely grab some if you can! It's piping hot and perfectly spiced. The chicken tikka masala itself comes with a delicious flaky naan that's similar to Chinese scallion pancake. It pairs perfectly with the dish itself. The crazy curry fries were also so good and saucy. I was so happy that we were splitting this dish six ways, because I would not have any space to try it had I gone individually. My friend got the Tikka Burger, and he was knocked OUT. It looked so amazing and smelled divine. We also got the yogurt dip to share, and it was so savory and creamy. I'd recommend this to anyone in the area who wants to try some amazing Pakistani food.

There was plenty of outdoor seating, and the service was speedy. You order on a kiosk, which makes for a streamlined ordering process. The food is always solid - I love all of their thali selections. This location was much more peaceful compared to the Palo Alto location. I stopped by on a Saturday evening, and there were only a couple tables that were occupied. I will say I feel like the portion sizes here are noticeably smaller than those at the Palo Alto location. This might be because all of the orders are packed to-go, so maybe there's less space for food? For instance, the thali from the Palo Alto location includes a side salad, which was not included in my order here. The other sides (pickled salad and daal lentil), along with the entree, were also significantly smaller here. The prices are the same, so I do think the Palo Alto dishes are more worth it.

We dined here on a Tuesday evening and we retry had the restaurant to ourselves. We ordered the goat biryani, goan fish curry, aloo gobi and butter naan. The naan was the best dish we ordered. While the presentation of the biryani was nice - the flavor was rather flat and blah. The Goan curry was harsh - you could taste the spices were raw and had a bitter after taste. The waiter said that this was a spicy dish - not at all ! It was so mild. The fish portion was rather small. The aloo gobi was slightly overcooked and a little too salty. The butter naan was great - fluffy and tasted great. Unfortunately we won't be coming back to this place.

It was mostly self-service, I got my own water, hot milk tea, and utensils from the front station. Nothing special to mention about the service. 3. Food (3/5): - Chicken Biryani (2/5): This was my first time trying this dish. Personally, it lacked flavor, the rice was quite plain and there wasn't much chicken either. I was the newbie here and my friend has frequented this place a lot so I leaned on him for recommendations. In short, this is comfort food full of flavor though it might take a little time to get your food, it's all made fresh! L O C A T I O N Off of El Camino Real (I know that's not really descriptive as El Camino is VERY long) and Lawrence Expressway (now we're getting closer), in a shopping area with a Big Lots and 24 Hour Fitness. The plaza is called Lawrence Expressway Plaza. Lots of parking so easy to find one near the entrance. I N S I D E Fairly cozy with booths to sit in. There's also a few outdoor tables for seating if you'd want to eat al fresco. They have a water and tea station which is nice as well as serve your own plates and utensils. M E N U Fairly extensive with Tandoori dishes, curries, vegetarian faire, biryanis, naans, wraps...my head was dizzy from all the choices. But I went with the recommended Bangen Bhartha, Chicken Biryani, and a plain naan. ~ Bangen Bhartha ~ The description: a unique blend of eggplant, tomatoes, onions, cream and spices. And indeed it was. You can taste that they grilled the veggies which reminded me of a Filipino grilled eggplant dish. I love a good grilled eggplant and this went great with the plain naan we had. ~ Chicken Biryani ~ The description: Tender pieces of chicken cooked with basmati rice and spice flavoured sauce garnished with raita. That raita though....man I saved what I had after I finished that dish and used it on other food I had in the house. I love a yogurt sauce. It also complimented well with the chicken biryani. Again full of flavor but beware of stray chicken bones and hard pieces when chewing the rice. It is a bone in chicken that they cook which helps with the flavor of the dish not so much for your teeth. Also complimented well with the bangen bhartha. ~ Plain Naan ~ The naan was plain and I had to have the plain one as much as I'd love the garlic one as I do have garlic sensitivities. But it was crisp, chewy, sizeable and complimented our eggplant dish well. S E R V I C E Basically you order at the front, they give you a number. You sit down, they bring you the food, you get all your utensils and plates and drinks. Very bare bones in terms of service but kind of what I expected. Food did take some time but again I think that's due to them freshly cooking everything which can take some time. Then afterwards, you bring up your number and pay. Easily paid by credit card. O V E R A L L It was delicious. I would definitely come back to get everything I had again but I would probably venture into their tandooris or wraps to try it out. The menu's very extensive so grab a friend or two to be able to try out more stuff!

In my naivety I hoped it was some natural food color using beetroot. But I later learnt from them that it was not. It left me appalled at the liberal use of such toxic artificial colors. Colors aside, the chicken itself was delicious. But I will make sure to ask them beforehand next time and order something that doesn't have colors. *naan-5/5- this was amazing. Hot from the tandoor.
