Place looked clean, kitchen looks clean, meat is on the vertical roasters, lookin fiiine. Staff was nice and welcoming. Even gave me a happy hour discount. Ordered the lamb shawarma cos that's my jam. Had to take it to go. Got back to the pad and spread that to go container wide open so I could squish that lavash and yummy lamby juice into my cheek holders. Smothered in some sort of chipotle sauce of hell. I absolutely loathe jalapeño. This is loaded with a healthy dose of Sysco's version of liquid smoke and brutalized burnt jalapeño sauce which they dub chipotle. The spiced lamb rotisserie is dark, dry, and old. Fries are a nice find with the first street ketchup but sweet for some reason. I'm leaving a two star because of cleanliness and really nice people manning the store. Minus three because I'll be down for the count today after ingesting a sauce that had no business in a lamb shawarma. Shameful. read more

So we went to ShaQ when one of our friends recommended it, and man I'm glad that we went there! Beef was alright but not as tasty as the lamb or chicken. Our group generally preferred the butter chicken. The sauce is what made it really good, medium spice, very creamy. I really enjoyed the rice plate, but our friends also liked having half and half with fries. It's basically rice and crinkle fries with butter chicken. The fries and rice were good with chicken but I wish the sauce wasn't so watery. The flavor was very subtle. The dish tasted 100% better the next day just because the sauce had more time to evaporate and thicken. Keeping this post simple and short: #1 - walked in and no ac. It's 80+ degree inside. This place needs to turn on the a/c for the customer and employee. #2 - ordered the lamb plate. Portion was small for price but everywhere is trying to cut cost because of inflation.. Almost $20 for that plate. #3 - lamb plate tasted ok. #4 - before I left, I saw that their lamb and beef meat was left outside on the split raw. It was not being cooked like the chicken. This worries me as raw meat can go bad fast hot environment. #5 I didn't get sick from the food. I usually get the CHICKEN SHAWARMA on the ROCKS. Side of fries. The rice is really good. You can feel each individual grain of rice as you eat and its no dry or a mush. The subtle flavor of the rice complements the curry. It isn't just a plate with a bunch of things thrown on top of it. Each ingredient is integral to the dish and you can really tell that when you eat it. The meat is pretty tender and juicy. Fries are crispy on the outside but soft on the inside (AKA perfect) The seasoning on them gives them a lot of flavor too. Price is a little bit on the higher side but i'd say it is worth it.
