Sajj Mediterranean is a great spot when you want something hearty that still feels clean and healthy. The portions are generous, and everything tastes fresh and well-seasoned. It's the kind of place where you can load up on flavor without feeling weighed down afterward. Solid go-to for a satisfying, wholesome meal. Love the Chipotle style setup so you get to pick your favorites and are in and out quickly.

I love Sajj so much. I don't know why I don't go more! Portions are huge, food is always fresh, nice clean inside, fast and friendly service! Love the chicken shwarma bowl! Tried the donor grill wrap and it was incredible. Fries are crispy and made to order! Pita is fluffy and delish. Love the pita chips and hummus! Can't say enough good things!

Build your own bowl 4/5. I thought this was ok compared to cava. Everything tasted a bit bland even the sauces. Portion size is big though and it's filling while still being healthy Wasn't a fan of the lentil soup but it was free

First time trying this location and first time trying a plate. I got the Uber eats deal so each plate was about 11.5 which is a great deal! I think back then they only had bowls and those were huge... I dunno if the portions have come down a bit I'll hafta try a bowl to compare. The portions for the plate were decent. I wouldn't say generous but not skimpy either. I tried all the diff proteins and they were slightly dry but generally solid. I kinda like Nick the Greek bowls better since there's more meat but I do like that this tastes a bit more authentic and I do love that they have beets and jalapenos as an option. They are also generous with the sauces which I do like. Overall, solid healthy lunch option prob wouldn't make a detour for it tho

Food was outstanding. I love the lentil soup and the couscous. I had the lamb and beef wrap. The food presentation is not great. These types of food are not attractive in a scoop bowl. And they don't look especially fresh. But it tasted great. Service was good. Dining room was clean. Bathroom could have been a little cleaner. Instead of sitting at the table and chatting when no one was at the counter, I'd recommend maybe an employee head to the bathroom and tidy up a bit.

It was our first time trying @sajjstreeteats and it surely won't be our last We like to eat tasty food that won't make us fall asleep at our desk so SAJJ is now in our lunch date rotation. Their meat is cooked perfectly, their tzatziki and garlic sauce are super well made plus their chili sauce adds a nice kick. I had enough for 2 meals too You can ask for sauce on the side like their feta mint dressing which lightened the meal. The fresh pitcha chips are a game changer too

The food was great and portion sizes were generous. Staff were all super kind and patient. Prices are decent. Overall, a quick and yummy meal! Loved being able to personalize my bowl, Chipotle style. They have a bunch of topping options and all were delicious, especially the eggplant and cauliflower--highly recommend those! The chicken shawarma was flavorful, though cold ): Also enjoyed the complimentary lentil soup! The perfect hot appetizer to our meal. My first experience here did not disappoint.

I have passed by Sajj many times before but haven't been here until a lunch buddy suggested it. We arrived around 11:30 and it wasn't busy. None of us had been here before. We all followed suite with each other and ordered the salad bowl. You pick your protein and in what. You can get it in a wrap, or with rice, freekeh, or couscous in a bowl. Pick a spread or all three. I got hummus and garlic sauce. The other option is tzatziki. There are many toppings to choose from, vegetables and sauces. Some, I believe, are at an additional cost. There were too many ingredients to name what I got but bottom line, it was delicious! You also get a cup of lentil soup. The place is very clean, and there are tables outside. It got very busy toward the end of our lunch but it seemed the line went fairly quickly. I didn't realize until later that they have self serve water and soda fountain where you get your napkins and utensils. There was a green sauce in a squeeze bottle. It didn't have a label but it was good! I will definitely be back.

Salad bow, chicken shawarma, with a soup of lentils.

Sajj never disappoints. It's consistent, food and variety are greatl, the restaurant is clean. The group of ladies at the counter today (Fri October 17, 2025) were not only very kind, but went above and beyond to accommodate my order and fix and issue with my mobile app. This is the first time I hear a hello and welcome to customers since my last trip to Japan where service is world class. And they do it for every single person coming in. Sajj is top notch food and service! Bravo!

5 stars all around! I can't speak for the ambiance because I got it to go but ... Walked in and the smells were amazing! The young lady helping was super kind and let me taste the couscous before getting it! Wow... so good! Never had it at all and it was the base of my bowl! Chicken shawarma and I LOVED the beets and tomato/cucumber! Everything was so fresh and perfect before I went to a concert. Definitely will be back!

They are located in a little strip mall on Alma Ave a few doors down from The Giving Pie. The parking lot is not huge but it we were able to find parking with no problem. The inside is nicely decorated with pictures of famous places in Greece. It's not huge inside but cozy with several tables for inside seating as well as a patio outside for outdoor seating. You can scan the QR code at your table or order at the front counter. We ordered from the front counter. We ordered the highly recommended Mousaka, the 3 piece plate with a side of green Greek salad. We chose the chicken skewer, pork skewer, and bifteki for our 3 meat choices as well as an order of Spanikopita. Our food was delivered to our table promptly. I grew up eating my Mom's Mousaka and I've eaten it in Athens, Naxos and Santorini. Let me tell you, their Mousaka was excellent. The eggplant, potato, meat filling and béchamel on the top were perfect. It's definitely a must try. The three skewers of meat were so flavorful and juicy. Both my husband and I loved it!! The pita bread it came with so warm and soft. The Spanikopita was fresh and hot. Delicious flaky phyllo dough with a savory spinach interior. The salads that came with each dish were also wonderful. Their feta on the top was so good and I loved the Kalamata olives. Customer service here was great. The young lady that helped us when we ordered was very friendly and helpful. It started getting busy inside while we were eating and I can see why. This is delicious homemade Greek food made from the heart. We will be coming here more often, now that we know about this place. There are many other things we are looking forward to trying.

The chicken was incredible; perfectly cooked, moist, tender, and not at all dry. It paired beautifully with the highly addictive garlic toum and orange hot sauce. The dish also came with a side of pickled vegetables which added a nice balance to the meat. At $18 for a whole chicken that can feed two people, it's an excellent deal! Whole Cauliflower (10/10): The BEST cauliflower I've ever had! It was roasted to perfection, giving it a delicious charred, smoky flavor. The fragrant lemon-tahini dressing added a bright acidity that balanced the dish beautifully. I would absolutely order this every time! Grilled Lamb Chops Plate (9/10): The lamb chops were a bit overcooked, but it was still really tender and flavorful. I only wish there had been more lamb and less rice, but overall, it was still a fantastic dish. Double Kebab plate (8/10): I tried the kofta (beef + lamb), lamb, filet mignon, and shrimp kebabs. The filet mignon and shrimp were my favorites, as they were more tender and less dry than the other options. Still, all of the meats were very well seasoned and flavorful. Next time, I'd opt for the fries instead of the rice, which was also a bit dry. Their fries are the best, super crispy and not too oily! Service: Wait times can be quite long (45-90mins) since the restaurant is usually busy. I wish they accepted reservations, but unfortunately, they don't. Once seated, you can scan the QR code at your table to place your order using your phone. Prices are reasonable, at around $16-$25 per plate. I also love that each dish comes with pita bread and your choice of 2 dips. Ambiance: The restaurant is beautiful, with both indoor and outdoor patio seating. The interior is warm, modern, and inviting, with a spacious layout. Overall, the food was absolutely AMAZING, everything tasted incredibly fresh and vibes were immaculate. I HIGHLY recommend giving this place a try at least once!!

The street wrap was packed with flavor, and the potato wedges were crispy and seasoned really well. One thing I especially recommend trying is their orange hot sauce. If you like spicy food, it's a must-try--the flavor and heat really add something extra to the meal. Overall, everything about Mazra is great. The food is consistently flavorful, the atmosphere is trendy, and it's a really fun place to eat. My only complaints would be the long wait times during peak busy hours and a few instances where the service hasn't been the best on particularly busy days. Sometimes this can affect the overall experience, especially when people in the same group end up receiving their food at different times. Despite those minor issues, Mazra is still a really great spot and definitely somewhere I would recommend checking out. If you enjoy flavorful food and a trendy atmosphere, it's definitely worth a visit!

All the while smiling:) I ordered via yelp because we were starving and easily this restaurant has their menu in organized and visually appealing. Their descriptions and the variety of selections and customizations on point. My husband said he wasn't hungry but then saw the food and we scarfed it all down. He gave it 8.5 and said would come back. I ordered pickled vegetables which I thought was going to be onions but I think it's actually cabbage. Not my preference so I will take that home to the parents. Did order yogurt dip- husband was a fan. The chicken thigh and filet were so tender. I had put a note on the order for medium rare. I wouldn't call that medium rare but it was tender nonetheless. I'm sad I had to pay extra for a half of a Roma tomato, salad and lavash- the lavash I saw it in the add-ons menu so I assumed it wasn't in there. Ended up with so much lavash. No need to buy extra. The entire thing came up to $63-ish. The food was 4/5 but service was 5/5! I know this economy has everyone struggling. This was probably the most I have spent on Mediterranean food. I would have expected $45-$50. We just came back from Turkey so this would have costed us $15-$20 USD. Portions for rice and meat were good though! All in all- would come back!

I ordered it on top of a pillow of rice which was fluffy and buttery textured. It was delicious. There are sauce bottles to pair with the meats which is my favorite part. 4.5/5 rounded up The…read morekoobideh is glistening juicy deliciousness!! I live more than an hour away so I doubt I'll come here too often but it was worth the visit. The rice was great (a lot when it's the only side) the onions were yummy which is huge for me bc I never like the onion "salad" restaurants usually give. This one they properly "rinsed" the onion and it wasn't too sharp with a nice cilantro top note. I tried the chicken from my husband and wasn't too blown away personally but he and the other person with us that ordered it loved it. Price wise you get a solid portion so even if it might be more than some other places I don't think it's unreasonable. If you're really on a budget you can get a single koobideh for I think it was $9 which I wish I did bc I had a lot of rice left over but not much koobideh for my left overs the next day. Space is small so just keep that in mind if you plan to go with a larger group. We were a good of 6 and we barely made it work. The staff is great but it is more a self service (seat yourself, order at kiosk, get your water) with them bringing the food out to you.

I've been wanting to try this place for a very long time and finally told my wife "no Asian food…read moretoday. We are trying Taste of Persia". We went, we saw, we conquered. We arrived an hour before closing. We were greeted with smiles. Lots of open tables. Cool music playing and restaurant was nice and clean. Walked straight to the kiosk and looked through the menu. While looking at the menu, we seen one of the waitresses with two HUGE plates of food. We asked if one of those was a dish and they said yes. I'm glad we seen that cause I would have ordered a dish for my wife and a dish for myself. The plate was so huge, my wife and I shared 1 dish and left full! We ordered the combination plate of beef kebab and chicken breast. I thought the chicken breast was going to be dry but it was hella juicy and seasoned very deliciously. The beef kebab was delicious as well. After ordering that dish, the lady in the front asked if we liked "Tahdig". I didn't know what it was and she said it was crispy rice. She gave us extra Tahdig for free. Once our food came, we noticed the Tahdig. My wife and I took our first bite together. Honestly, very very very good. It's like a crispy rice pancake. Taste of Persia exceeded my expectations and I'm very glad we have something so delicious (that's not Asian) close to us. I will be returning here more often. It might be on a "sketchy" side of San Jose but it's definitely worth a visit.

Amazing 10/10, I…read moretried the chicken and beef plate. Both of them solid, there selections of sauces was great too! I recommend the white and spicy sauce. They got the food out fast and my group really enjoyed it. I personally prefer the chicken shawarma. The service was fantastic and it was our first time. They gave us recommendations and the falafels came out fresh. The place is definitely better than the chain places I've been too. It's in a cozy plaza. Definitely my go to spot in the future.

Double Combo Plate I ordered - Turmeric Rice - Chicken Shawarma and Gyro Beef - The Works (Everything included) - Tzatziki sauce - Falafel (Side) - Waffle Fries (Side) Okay, the presentation of the combo plate wasn't the most aesthetically pleasing, but I looked past it. Unfortunately, the chicken and beef were lacking in flavor and were pretty dry. The portions were generous, though the gyro beef was sliced pretty thin. The veggies were actually fresh, which was a plus. The hummus was on the lighter side flavor-wise, while the Baha Ghanouj had a solid roasted aftertaste. The Achilles spread was... interesting. It was very fatty with a garlic aftertaste. It just wasn't my thang. The waffle fries were cool. They were fried well and had a good crunch, but nothing special. The falafel, though, was pretty disappointing. I'm not sure if I just got a bad batch. They were very crunchy, but had a weird dish-soap aftertaste that I couldn't get past. I couldn't finish the rest. Sorry, but I'll be on the lookout for another Mediterranean spot.

I ordered the beef steak with rice and my bf order the chicken suqaar with rice. The food took a…read morewhile to come out but when it did arrive, I immediately noticed the generous portions. Both meats were juicy, flavorful, and tender but if I had to pick one it would hands down by the beef steak. One thing to note about the dining experience is that it was uncomfortably hot inside the restaurant. I went on a summer day when it was in the high 80s and the restaurant didn't have AC or a fan... it was a lot warmer inside the restaurant than it was outside. I felt so relieved when I stepped outside.

It did have a lot of sugar, but it was pretty similar flavor-wise to Indian chai (sans milk), so it paired very well with our order. We ordered the chicken suqaar and the beef wrap. We opted for the chapati (sabaayad in Somali) with the chicken suqaar, but would love to try their rice or their version of injera during our next visit! The menu at first glance looks kinda confusing since they have Lunch in big letters on one side with a ton of their dishes and Dinner on the other side with the remainder of the dishes, making it seem like a few items are available during this time... but the Lunch portion just states that it comes with a side of rice, pasta, chapati, or injera (which is the same as Dinner...) so kind of an interesting stylistic choice there, but this is to say that everything on the menu is available the whole time they're open. The meals were so flavorful- the chicken suqaar had a ton of onions, carrots, chicken, green-bean like veggie, and spices, and was served with a green sauce that had kind of a habanero or jalapeno taste to it. The beef wrap was huge and I only ate half of one for dinner- it was flavored so well and the beef was cooked perfectly. This came with a side of the green sauce and a white sauce. I'd love to return and try their injera with chicken, kay kay chicken, beef suqaar or beef steak, and their sambusas! I saw some on another diner's plate and it looked sizable and filling. Jubba is located right next to a VTA light rail and an apartment complex so there's decent foot traffic, but overall, a wonderful place to try and eat!

I enjoyed both a lot! The pork souvlaki wrap was fairly comparable for the ones I had in Greece- the pork was flavorful and juicy, which was exactly what I was looking for. Their tzatziki is so garlicky and delicious as well! The avgolemono soup was so lemon forward and they used orzo pasta instead of rice, which was a new experience for me, but I enjoyed it a lot as well. I plan to try their gyro wrap next or their pork gyro, but man, that souvlaki is kind of a winner in my book!

Around 7pm there was only one table occupied table but there were a lot of customers who were there for pick up or ordering home- like me. It actually took longer than expected but worth the wait. For a plate with three skewers it's about $23 and an additional $2 if you want to change your friends to salad. For two skewers it's only $20! They have plates, family style (only skewers), gyros, souvlaki and soup and salad! For the wraps, they include: tomato, onions, fries, tzatziki and yellow sauce. There's lots of space to eat, but when it's at the end of the day you just want to take the food to go.
