    Vegan California burrito

I searched up vegan food on DoorDash and this place popped up, seen the reviews and I was sold lol I ended up ordering the vegan California burrito and it was divine! It tasted so darn good! Im definitely ordering from here again! I bet it tastes 1000x better if I ate it in person too.

Ordered delivery from this restaurant after seeing some reviews on instagram and it did not disappoint! The burritos were so good, priced very well for the size and taste! I am definitely coming back and recommending to everyone that i know. Carne asada with refried beans spicy was what i got and it was so flavorful! Perfectly cooked! And grilled chicken was amazing as well. Chicken flavorful!

I'm a HUGE fan of the Redwood City location of Cuco's and I've had it over 15 times, so I was absolutely delighted to see that they expanded to San Jose and I'm super happy for them. I've tried their super burritos, California burrito, breakfast burrito, tacos, etc. Everything is fantastic but my usual go-to is the super burrito with carne asada. Their burritos have some of best presentation I've seen - beautifully and perfectly wrapped every single time. The ingredients go so well together in the burrito and pack a punch of flavor every time. The tortilla is extremely fresh and probably one of the best I've had and really sets them apart. Service was amazing, they checked in on us during the meal and were super warm and friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating both available. Clean and beautifully decorated as well. Will absolutely be coming back!

Ordered via door dash after reading all the great reviews on yelp, not disappointed at all. It's honestly tastes like a cleaner version of a traditional burrito. I ordered a carne asada super burrito. Everything tasted fresh and cooked perfectly, portion was as expected. Presentation alone would make me re-order! Very happy, will order again.

First time here. Was working nearby and always like to try different burrito/Mexican spots. Luckily I did! This place was easily top 3 best burritos I've ever had. Hands down. Presentation was great. Came all tucked and very neatly rolled up with half of it exposed on a little tray. Chips and salsa free with meal and came in neat little dishes. Staff super friendly and music was a vibe! Inside and out is very clean and inviting. When the lady came and asked how everything was I responded with "this has got to be easily one of the best dam burritos I've ever had!" To which she replied "is this your first time here?" Yes it was and best believe I WILL be back. 11/10 experience.

This place just opened down the street from the public library where I work. My waist line is in big trouble. The food is delicious. The salsa is delicious. The chips are house made with an interesting seasoning. The food is tasty. Most importantly, family owned and I would be surprised to read a review that they treated a customer poorly on purpose. These are nice warm people here. So glad they moved into my area where I work. Not so glad for my tight pants.

We got the California burrito de chorizo (top) and the regular pastor burrito and they were both SO GOOD. 10/10. Crazy. Even tried a bit of their mole sauce and it was fire, of course. Staff is super friendly too. Highly recommend!

Cucos Burritos definitely hits the spot serving authentic Mexican burritos just had their grand opening day last month. Was going down there last weekend until I saw a long line of people waiting by the door. Came by on a Friday morning which seems to be the best time greeted very warmly by the staff employee. Looking over the menu I chose a regular size tofurizo burrito a healthier vegan alternative to pork chorizo full of beans, rice, salsa sauce, cheese, onions, tofu seasoned with bold spices along with a cup of olla a traditional Mexican spiced coffee brewed in a clay pot. So glad to dine-in server brought over a tortilla chips a cup of salsa and a pitcher of water and cup no need for refill. I was blown away when she brought over the burrito nicely wrapped more like super size with generous portions OMG it's enough for two people they were so kind and very attentive definitely a place for authentic Mexican meals. They even have an outdoor seating and a large parking lot with a few surrounding business. Their burritos is real hit would definitely be back so support your local business.

Wow whatever sauce they put in there is a game changer. Really one of the best burritos I've had in a while. I love how good it's wrapped too. Makes all the difference.

One Al Pastor taco and one asada taco.

Drove by and they just happen to be having a soft opening. I ordered two tacos. The service was wonderful, they have vegan and vegetarian options and their entire menu looks really good ! Ill be back to try the breakfast burritos. My tacos hit the spot.

    Barbacoa burrito

Stopped by to get dinner. As someone who's lived in the neighborhood for years, I've seen a few different restaurants in this location. I saw online that they have vegan and vegetarian options. If you know San Jose, it's very hard to find good vegetarian Mexican food. When we walked in the guy behind the counter asked if we had been in before. He took the time to explain the menu and the vegan options. Our order consisted if a super barbacoa burrito, vegetariano con mole burrito and a shrimp chipotle mole burrito. My barbacoa burrito was stuffed with meat.(Shocking considering the price of meat).it actually had more meat than rice and beans The other burritos came wet. The veggie burrito had a sweet mole sauce. It was slightly spicy slightly sweet, we were told we could get it more spicy. The shrimp chipotle was too hot for me, but my wife didn't mind. Inside there's seating available. For a old looking building, everything was clean and new looking inside. My only problem was it was kinda hot inside. We ordered the food to go so it wasn't a big deal

Support your small business! Cucos is a small business, I went to try it out since the previous place was out and dying of no customers and cuco took over the place and new management. I order 6 tacos, a taco cost $3.25 which is standard since groceries and supplies are high, 2 of pollo, 2 of al pastor, 2 of carna asada. They all come w a side of chips and salsa and it was yummy

    Menu

I had an absolutely amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was incredible I tried the mole carnitas burrito, and it was 100 out of 100. The Micheladas were perfect for this hot weather. The vibe was amazing, and the staff was great. I'll definitely be coming back!"

I was informed that the patio is open and to order using a QR code at one of the tables in the patio. You have to sign in and create an account to order. It took me a minute to order. I wanted to try their specialty dishes especially because they have mushroom dishes and soy protein dishes. But by the time I was able to figure out how to order and sign up, I was pressed for time to order a meal and ended up ordering crispy spring rolls. Once your order is placed, you wait for a text to let you know your order is ready. Then I have to pick up at the window. Spring rolls were okay. I really wanted to try the crispy oyster mushrooms or the lion mane mushroom dish. Or even the Sea Fruits plate but I wasn't going to have enough time to enjoy them. The patio was fine. A few picnic tables. You bus your own table at the end. Everything they used was biodegradable. I wish it was a better experience. The food looked delicious in pictures, but eating in an outdoor patio, ordering from a QR code, and picking up your food from the window made for a sad and sub par experience.

Haha Tried their whole batch of soy garlic chicken wings. It was cooked well but the outside coating tasted a little overcooked and not as much flavor in the chicken or seasoning. The glaze was not enough. That was a little disappointing for me. Also had their mushroom tofu soup which was added from a combo meal with grilled pork or called Dwae Ji Bulgogi. This was good. Ordered their Galbi short ribs was my favorite. Their seafood pancake was big and crispy. We also had their grilled spicy pork Bulgogi. This was ok, not too spicy but it was more like shredded pork and not a big portion. Actually, for the portion for the meat was pretty expensive to me. Everything now is getting more expensive and smaller portions. We didn't drink alcohol so I can image how much this would be. Our party only ordered 1 soda. We ordered enough and everything was finished or my husband didn't want to leave any food. This was located in Milpitas so if in the area, I would like to try it again. [13R,2026]

My family and I come here often because the food is genuinely delicious, and the atmosphere is zen, clean, and peaceful. Unfortunately, the service has consistently been lacking. I normally would not leave a negative review, but our most recent visit was frustrating enough that I felt the need to say something. Despite there being staff available, it took quite a while just to get seated. After sitting for about 10 minutes, we still had not been helped and had to flag someone down just to place our order. The same thing happened when we needed water and basically anything else throughout the meal. There was no attentiveness from the staff, and no server ever checked on our table during the visit. To make matters worse, we ordered 2 bowls of Bun Bo Hue, but only one came out initially. After waiting another 15-20 minutes, the second bowl finally arrived; and only after we had to flag down staff twice to ask whether the order had been forgotten. The food and atmosphere are the reasons we keep coming back, but the service experience continues to be disappointing and takes away from what could otherwise be a great restaurant.

The reason why I came over here fairly recently was because I visited cousins and cousin in law that live near to give them Valkyries shirts and other shirts they'll send to the Philippines in over a month, and since they plan to be sending clothes over while telling me about the place, I gave them my Kate Martin and Kaitlyn Chen jerseys for the trouble as I needed to make room for my Veronica Burton jersey, which I wore when I met up with them, and my upcoming violet Gabby Williams one. (Go Valks!) The noteworthy parts the place has are the real good amount of banchan dishes, bibimbap and the short rib, the spicy one in particular. While I probably will not visit the place again anytime soon, at least I can keep this place in mind if I want Korean food without driving to Santa Clara. There's plenty of parking behind the spot. As you come in, the place looks simple, but it works. You have the adorable ajumma/ajumni to take your order. The stuff I ordered. I had water, banana milk and kimchi fried rice. Since I was the only one that had more than 1 drink, I told my cousins and cousin in law the banana milk, and they did bring up how on occasion, you see the drink in K-dramas. Of course, we laughed on how my parents never got into K-dramas and while I'm at it, Filipino dramas. Oh well. Oh, there's no doubt the food is good, and the place is too legit (to quit) as I did hear Korean from a different table. As I typed up, there are plenty of banchan dishes. Not Los Angeles amount of banchan dishes, but there are plenty of banchan dishes never the less. The kimchi fried rice dish may be simple, but it does give off that homey feel. Can't forget how Big actually is affordable, the big reason why my cousins and cousin in law like the place so much. The reason why the place doesn't get a perfect score. The place would have received a perfect score if, the major matter I remember here, the place has mul naengmyun (my favorite Korean dish). Originally, I wanted Japanese ramen before my cousins mentioned this place, and I was ready to pivot to having mul naengmyun, but I was told that the place doesn't carry the noodle dish. (Being a very good and logical dish to eat for at the very least half of the year in a city like here San Jose is the reason why of all of the Korean dishes, I like mul naengmyun the most.) There probably is one or two minor flaws I already forgot, but the lack of mul naengmyun is the dead on reason why I don't give the place a perfect score. On a side note, it's nice that I told the group what banana milk and mul naengmyun are, and by doing so, they learn something new regarding eating at Korean spots just in case. BigSpoon is a good spot. While it may not be as iconic as the places in Santa Clara, it is a good spot never the less. It does a good job at being a Korean spot for an area that is more so known for Mexican food. If you live on the east side, head on over here because the place should get your attention. +/BigSpoon is brilliant and spiffy because it has a terrific combination of good simple food, affordability and wonderful service. -/If only the place also has mul naengmyun.
