One of my favorite mariscos spots in San Jose! Everything I've tried here has been so delicious. I've had the sushi, fish tacos, shrimp tacos, 7 Mares caldo, and cóctel de camarón, and everything has been fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. They have daily specials, quick and friendly service, and sometimes even live banda! They also have TVs playing popular soccer games, which makes it such a fun place to hang out and eat. Lots of outdoor seating! It can definitely get busy on the weekends, but it's totally worth the trip. Great food, good atmosphere, and a place I'll keep coming back to! read more

My friends and I came here for mariscos on a nice sunny day in the Bay Area, and it definitely hit the spot! We were quoted a 20 minute wait for three but were seated in about 12 minutes. Most of the seating is outdoors under a covered area, and they have a huge TV for soccer and other sports. I ordered the aguachile verde, and my friends got the tostadas de atún, La Morenita tostada, empanadas de camarón, and micheladas. We also received complimentary tostadas and a small sopa de pescado with shrimp. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, and our waitress was friendly despite how busy they were. The two unisex restrooms were overall clean and smelled fresh, which I always appreciate. Our total was around $170 for three people, but mariscos can definitely get pricey. I came here one Friday evening for dinner. Wow, this place has a great atmosphere, food and drinks. There was even live music. We ordered two items to share for 3 people which was more than enough. Ordered the Molcajete Costa Alegre and Vasiloco Mixto. The Molcajete Costa Alegre is a seafood mix of different types of shrimp, crab legs, octopus, bass fish filet, green mussels, in a chipotle cream sauce with nopal, cilantro, and fried jalapeno. It was served with fresh flour tortillas. The cream sauce went very well with the tortillas, had some nuttiness in it which was good. Good amount of seafood as well. Would definitely get again. Extra tortillas cost $1 each. Vasiloco mixto is a shrimp, fish, octopus, mexican scallops with a black aguachile sauce, avocado and tostadas on the side. Good variety of seafood. The shrimp and octopus ceviche was tasty but it was a tad spicy but I still enjoyed it and kept going back for more. The fish tacos were perfectly cooked and flavorful. The Birria taco was just ok. Could use more consomé. Service was ok, a little slow. But it was packed so it was understandable. The Malibu drink was great especially in a hot day. The mariscos here were amazing. The server was really nice and energetic! The complementary soup in a cup they give to start is sooo good. The umami flavor and shrimp flavor is out of this world. The tacos were also sooo good, packs a punch of so much flavor (I forgot which one I got). The ceviche mixto was also so good, the black aguachile hit the spot with the tostadas. First time at this Mariscos spot and I'm so glad that we stopped! Oh my God, the menu is so extensive but everything looks so good. I wanted to try everything we went at the right time for lunch. My daughter-in-law ordered the dungeon crab a lot of crab. She brought some home. I ordered the pulpo a la Diabla. Everything was so delicious. I brought mine home too. I had a shot of Mezcal we ordered the mango Caliente drink service was excellent. They didn't hover but they were there attentive. I love the outdoor seating. My friends and I came here on a Monday for their michelada deals. We sat outside under the canopy, which was really nice. It was spacious and there was a nice breeze throughout our meal. Before we ordered, the server brought us shrimp soup and tostadas. The soup was super flavorful and the tostadas were super crispy. The shrimps were a bit spicy, but we all really liked them. I believe it was around 10 dollars for each drink. Considering the size and amount of shrimp, I thought it was a pretty good deal. The aquachiles came with mango and cucumber. It was my first time eating aquachiles and I loved it! This dish also had a good amount of spice. The frutas y camaron were seasoned similarly to the shrimps on the micheladas, and the fruit had chamoy and tajin. This was my first time eating this dish too, and I really liked it. I love their quality here, everything is fresh and delicious! They have some of the best seafood dishes around. A great menu, with lots of variety. My favorite is the camarones envueltos plate, it comes with delicious bacon wrapped shrimp that I just love to wrap in their tortillas to make a little taco, it's perfection on a plate. It's amazing how they get the bacon so crispy and yet the shrimp is still juicy! Last time, my family ordered the tacos gobernador, and those were tasty too. They have a large dining area, very clean with lots of tables and seating, perfect for large gatherings or small groups. I've celebrated my birthday here, and many other special occasions, I always try to find a way to come here! We've also had them cater for a work event and that was also a really great experience.
