Cafe de la olla con pan

Our family went here for breakfast and we had an amazing meal and experience! Our server, Sandy, was personable, great at making suggestions, and knew the menu to help us make our decisions. We had a little bit of everything: enchiladas, chilaquiles, carne en su jugo, buenos días desayuno, chicken nuggets, and huevos rancheros. The cafe de la olla was pretty good, too sweet for me, but overall good. The abuelita hot chocolate was very delicious! I only took a picture of my plate, but everything else looked and tasted so delicious, and the food came out in a timely manner! The restaurant itself is so beautiful with the Mexican decor, style, and ambient! The music was nostalgic when we heard some old school songs from our childhood! We'll definitely be back and we definitely recommend!!

I was at Tulum a few weeks ago and had a great experience. My husband wanted to watch the America soccer game and I was craving a molcajete from Tulum They are my favorite at Tulum. But what did make our experience better was Juliana's customer service. The moment we stepped in the door she greeted us kindly and very welcoming. I can't say the same for the other girl working upstairs. However we ended up moving down stairs. That was the area that Juliana was working her services were over the top and that is why I wanted to make this review hopefully it gets to her. Thank you for making our experience great. Great food and great food!

I tried the sopes and they were pretty good. We went during the week and it was not busy at all. The service was friendly and had great recommendations. It's nicely decorated inside.

My friend took me here after finding this spot on TikTok. This place is very Instagram worthy. Only reason I gave it a 3 star was because we waited quite a bit for our waitress to come back and take our order. We were seconds away from leaving after waiting almost 20 minutes. I ordered the mini birria pambazo, which was pretty good. But the consommé could use more flavor since it was bland. My friend ordered the quesabirria and she really enjoyed it. Honestly, I'd come back.

Since they didn't do anything to change the interior of this place from the previous business this restaurant looks really nice. Been meaning to try this spot out for a while. The owners of this restaurant is very bold to open a Mexican spot in a more Asian dominant location. The service here is just ok. After I finish my beer it took them a while to ask me for another drink. And it was like only another table dining in. I end up ordering the molcajete dish that came with a variety of meats and also comes with a side of beans, rice and tortillas. The flavor was nothing special but the chicken and beef was extremely dry. You can tell the meat was already cooked and was just reheated. Hope this location do good but I definitely will not be coming back for food that is mid but prices aren't.

The food and service was great! Sebastian was such a great server! Atmosphere is so beautiful. I celebrated my birthday here & it was just perfect !

Not sure why this place has such a bad reviews because we had a great experience. Came in on a Monday night and service, food, and aesthetic were all on point. Everyone in my party seemed to enjoy their food and I did as well. I would definitely come back. I had the tinga enchiladas with green sauce. Which were so good! Shredded chicken was juicy and flavorful, plenty of sauce on the enchilada, and rice/beans were good as well.

Worst Mexican place. One should get sour when a Mexican restaurant in the middle of viet town! Too pricy. Menu is full of hamburgers etc for lunch. Too expensive. Charge for credit transactions Just wait and see. This place won't be there for long time. Should be replaced by a great viet or fusion restaurant. Chilaquiles are a joke. Please don't spend a penny on these

All the reels on IG look good, but it wasn't worth the hype. The atmosphere was cool, music isn't so loud you have to yell to have a conversation. Tables clean, but they do clean the seating with the same towel they use on the tables. I always bring wipes. We were seated right away, service was ok. They took our drink order, about 10 min later they took our food order. We ordered the Chilaquiles (bandera style), there was one layer of chips on half the plate (probably 12 chips) $18 seemed too pricey for the amount given. And we got El Trio $19, each item was about 3-4 oz, 1) Menudo has good flavor, no hominy or meat, only tripe & too much of it. It was a bit oily too. 2) Barbacoa good flavor too, but too much fatty pieces in it. I had half meat & half fat, not so appetizing. 3) Pozole, good flavor too, mine had more hominy than pork, that was a bummer. But loved the fresh tortillas, those were delish.

went on a Monday holiday, right before lunch & lucky enough for a party of 4, we waited no longer than 15min. They have upstairs seating, but did not see it, it seems a little small & tight inside. But I think they can accommodate your party (not sure on size) It's very cute inside, photo op fosh'o! The staff is very friendly, from the time you walk in, get seated & wait for service. Presentation with every meal that came out of the kitchen, while we were waiting for ours, was Nice cute & smelled yummy. They do sell beer that's not on the menu, you have to ask. Prices for the food, I think, was not too bad. I will be back to try some more items on the menu. Located in the corner, easiest way to get there, is by Walmart area. Lots of parking, but if there's nothing going on, you'll be fine.

We had a great experience dining at Tulum Mexican Kitchen! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was fun and lively--great music playing in the background (a bit loud, but still enjoyable). The food arrived promptly and was served piping hot, which I really appreciated. We ordered the Molcajete Platter and the Chicharrón con Guacamole--both were absolutely delicious! The chicharrón was perfectly crispy, and the guac was fresh and flavorful. The molcajete was packed with tender meat, grilled veggies, and rich, savory sauces--definitely enough to share between two people. Our server (Sorry, I forgot his name) was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and consistently checking in to see if we needed anything else without being overbearing. It made the experience even better. What I also loved is the location--right near the Super Walmart on Story Road in San Jose. After indulging in such a hearty meal, my husband and I took a stroll through Walmart to walk it off (highly recommend if you're too full like we were!). All in all, I'll definitely be coming back. If you haven't tried this spot yet, you're missing out. Fresh, flavorful food, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere--Tulum Mexican Kitchen is a hidden gem worth visiting!

10000/1000 the service and food was literally amazing!! First time coming here and im definitely coming back again. Sammy was our sever and she was so sweet. I definitely recommend this place.

Lots of take out orders and dine in orders. I ordered 5 super tacos to share with different meats (pollo, carne asada, al pastor, carnitas and chorizo). The super tacos come with cilantro, onions, avocado, sour cream, cheese and pico de gallo. All the tacos come with homemade corn tortillas - you could tell they were fresh. The tacos are big, not small at all. The carne asada, carnitas and pollo was my favorite. Al pastor was good as well, chorizo was not that flavorful for me. However, they also have 3 types of salsas (green, red and a creamy orange) you can use to help add some more flavor if needed. I plan to come back here to try their burritos and tortas as well next time.

The tacos were good and the tortilla they used was quite thick. The enchiladas had good flavor as well, and I would be interested in trying their enchilada with the verde sauce next time. Their prices have steadily risen over time and they have updated their menu prices as well. One thing that elevated this restaurant to 4 stars is their sauce! The red sauce and green sauce recipe is definitely unique compared to other taquerias. The red sauce bottle helps with the flavor tremendously and without it I would have rated this place lower.

It's been a while, so we decided to check out ZR for a late lunch…read more We found parking easily, but we had to wait a little bit before someone came by to seat us. We were seated at the booth in the back, which I have always admired, but I now realize it has its disadvantages. It is right by the bathroom, which got a bit of traffic on our visit. That's not such a big deal. The bigger concerns I have are: (1) there is no cushioning for those of us with little of our own and (2) you have to sit up fairly straight and if you want to lean against the wall, you're likely to rub shoulders with the wall hanging. Next time I will ask to be seated someplace else as there were two 2-tops outside. The food is always made from quality ingredients and I'm glad to see they are experimenting with pricing and quantity. I did not see mention of their daily happy hour, which was a feature of last year's visit so that may be gone. However, they now have a five tacos platter which offers relatively good value from the menu prices. This would be good for sharing for two people I think. But that is not what we ordered on this visit. My wife ordered two vegetarian (verduras) tacos and the Blood Orange/Jalapeno mocktail. I ordered the huevos rancheros. Unlike Luna, tortilla chips and salsa are not complimentary. So we let our appetites build. Our food arrived fairly quickly, so that was good and we dug in. My wife had ordered two extra eggs (extra charge) to accompany her tacos, and I think she was glad she did. The vegetarian tacos were not terribly generous for the price. My huevos rancheros came in a neatly stacked pile. My wife thought to ask if they had a hot sauce and they do! So we requested their hottest version. It was a welcome addition to the meal (gratis). A little vinegary, but plenty of heat. The mocktail was quite good. Like Spindrift and some other sparkling waters, it is not sweetened, but it had a good amount of strained blood orange juice, and you could taste the fresh jalapeño. I wonder if they have tried adding mint to this as I think it would be welcome. Maybe next time I will ask if they can experiment with me by adding some mint.

It was very loud inside as I think they were making pico and using the multipurpose chopper. It got so loud at one point that we couldn't even talk with each other without having to practically scream. The decoration is beautiful though and feels like you're at a Mexican mom's fancy kitchen. Service was not good at all. We had to wait over 15 minutes to get our order taken and then we watched our food stand on the counter top for another 5 minutes. Once we were served we were never checked up on until the end when we had to flag them down to get the check. I don't think we'll be coming back.

As we cruised by looking for parking, it was clear we had picked a lively spot--buzzing energy everywhere: inside, outside, and even upstairs. We were quickly seated indoors, though on such a beautiful day we assumed we'd be offered outdoor seating. No big deal--we asked, and they happily moved us to a shaded table with plenty of space. Much better. Drinks were first on the agenda: margaritas and a michelada, all refreshing and exactly what we were hoping for. Our server, Michelle, was friendly, attentive, and even shared some helpful tips about perks with our American Express Platinum Card--a nice, unexpected touch. We kicked things off with queso fundido, though a brief mix-up brought us chips and guacamole from another table first. Once we pointed it out, it was quickly handled--but honestly, it looked so good we ended up ordering it anyway. No regrets there--it definitely hit the spot. We hadn't planned on a full dinner, so we went with lighter bites. The tuna tostadas and halibut ceviche were a hit--fresh, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. I went with the tortilla soup, which was good and nicely presented... but didn't quite wow me. I've been on a bit of a tortilla soup tour lately, and this one leaned a little heavy on the tortillas (soaking up too much broth) and had more zucchini than I expected. That said, major points for serving it piping hot--something a lot of places miss--and the avocado was a great addition. One thing worth noting: I didn't catch it until later, but there's a 4% living wage surcharge added to the bill--and it's taxed. That caught me off guard, and I'm still not entirely sure how that works in California. Overall, a fun, energetic spot with great drinks, tasty bites, and solid service. Not perfect, but definitely good enough to come back for another round.
