    Beef bulgogi tacos
    Frank L.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaan I hate giving out bad reviews but I thought about it and I just couldn't do 3 stars. Like it's one thing to be mid but to be not good and also pricey that's just a killer. Tacos(soy sauce chicken) [$15, $23 Uber eats, $12 after Uber eats bogo]: the flavor was ok. Prob would have been better off the tortillas were crispy instead of soggy. That may or may not have been due to take out... I'll never know. But honestly it was just ok. Lot of protein but kind felt like it was missing something maybe it needs an avocado. Tacos(beef bulgogi): same issues as the other tacos but the beef bulgogi tasted better imo maybe from the sauce. Ddeoboki: Alright here's where it really gets bad...I think I kinda understand the concept... Is like a fried ddeoboki and the sauce is like more of a fusion sauce that you kinda find on sushi rolls. Lol I felt like it could have used more sauce which is ironic given the name of the restaurant. It tasted dry and kinda chewy but not in a good way...chewy like old and dry. Wasn't good at all Overall, I dunno if it was a bad day or cause I ordered at the end of the day at like 7pm so it's all leftover food but ya everything just was kinda cold/old. I feel like they have a good concept but I feel like they gotta keep the quality control better. At these prices tho it'll be awhile before I come back

Recently opened at the foot court inside Great Mall. This store offered a selection of fusion Asian bowls, burritos, poke bowls, tacos and more. We got the signature saucy Asian bowl with chicken and a saucy Asian poke bowl with salmon. Both bowls came with flavorful and creamy sauce that was slightly sweet. The chicken was tender. We chose mixed veggie and rice as the base, which gave us a balanced amount of veggies and carbs. The store was located at the foot court, so sitting was shared with other stores there. It was a convenient spot for a quick lunch when shopping at Great Mall.

Friendly staff and quick service! After an afternoon stroll and shopping spree, I passed through the food court on the hunt for some vegan food. I hadn't seen this restaurant before and did not want food from a typical chain. I then saw tofu on their menu and ordered their Saucy Asian bowl. It was very filling and tasty! If it were served on a plate I might have thought I was in a nice Asian-fusion restaurant. I would definitely come back for more.

Japchae - 5/5 Bigger portion than I thought for the cost! Lots of flavor. Soy Chicken Cali Burrito - 5/5 Flavorful chicken, crispy fries, yummy sauce, big portion. No complaints at all. Great lunch option!

2 touch screens for orders, quick and friendly service. It took a while to get our order so sit right! Popular place. We got the saucy asian bowl and saucy Asian fries. Saucy Asian bowl we got with japchae, the pork was a little salty but went well with the salad and japchae. 4/5 Saucy Asian fries were not good. The fries tasted like they were days old, very hard and unpleasant even though the topping was nice. 2/5

Had a great time eating at this restaurant! It's a new location that opened up recently in great mall. They serve Korean Mexican fusion dishes from burritos with Korean meat and bibimbap. It's a hot new restaurant that's popular. It took about 10 minutes for our order to come in and we sat down at the food court to eat. It was a fair price for $15 per item. The burrito was very filling, with my choice of meat as soy garlic chicken. The avocado cream was delicious and refreshing. I was happy with my selection and i hope this restaurant thrives! Can't wait to see this place again!

The photos of poke bowls for this restaurant were so enticing, so I made plans to try them the next time I was at this mall. I really loved how affordable the food was here. For a poke bowl that leaves you full, anything less than $20 is a steal. I ordered their Island Poke (combo, rice and greens, and fish combo, salmon and tuna). The fish was fresh and we were also given an ample amount. The rice was cooked amazingly, and I was also met with the surprise of fried wonton strips that actually added a nice crunchy texture and flavor to the bowl. The sauces were creamy and enhanced the flavors of the ingredients. There was a little bit more of sauce than I would have liked (can't eat too much fat), but I was able to look past that. The wait times for ordering and arrival of the food were not long. Affordability, ingredient quality, speed, and quantity made me leave as a satisfied foodie with the intent to return.

This place is at the Great Mall food court. Had the Cali Burrito with soy chicken. Pretty big burrito. Loaded with guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo. This burrito with the chicken had a sweeter flavor. I wanted a little spice to it so I asked for a side of gochujang aioli. Also, asked to have the fries on the side instead of in the burrito. The burrito came with a side of chips and salsa. Chips were like a cross between pita chips and tortilla chips. The staff were very nice. Took a out 15 min to get the food. Wish had a better picture.

I came here on my lunch break! I got the saucy Asian bowl and the food came out pretty fast. Once I came back to my break room, I opened my food to find that it was only warm, not hot. It had probably been 5 minutes MAX since I received the food to the time I opened the container. I'm not sure if this is because the food was simply warmed up or if the thermal equilibrium of the vegetable temps and meat temps just made it warm or if the container had bad heat retention but the temperature was a bummer. Otherwise, the food was ok. The meat and the sauce on the top was good. I got a half veggie and half rice bowl. There definitely could have been more meat for the price. Ingredients were fresh. Unfortunately, I would not come back.

    - Saucy Asian Fries 4/5: It's name is accurate as these are some saucy fries. I got the beef bulgogi on my fries and it was a great match. The fries are loaded with 2 sauces that complement each other well. One is a tangy, slightly spicy sauce that adds a good kick. The other is a rich, cheesy white sauce. Pair all of that with the sweet bulgogi and the crispy, thin fries and it's a great meal. - Saucy Asian Bowl 4/5: I chose mixed greens and beef bulgogi for my bowl. This bowl had almost everything I would want. It was well balanced, they gave good portions, and everything was flavored nicely. - Service 5/5: The staff working on 7/24 were great. They asked us clarifying questions about our food to ensure that we were satisfied with our food and asked us how we liked the food. They were also pleasant and made our food quickly.

A hidden gem at the Great Mall! Saucy Asian blends Korean fusion food in a tasty way. We placed our order via a screen, although they were taking orders from the register. The food came out quickly. It wasn't as busy at the actual stall, but the Great Mall cafeteria seating was busy per usual. I got my bowl with mixed greens and rice, soy sauce chicken, and had it topped with green onions and their orange sauce. They also layered some japchae noodles between the chicken and rice. Everything tasted freshly cooked and I was surprised by how plentiful the chicken was. I'm always worried about takeout places skimping out on the protein, but there was a lot in the bowl! Def recommend if you want something quick and filling at the Great Mall.

I noticed this new food joint took this empty space after a long period of nothing? I came here twice to taste one of the Poki items and the bibimbap. I gotta admit, these are decent real restaurant quality items. This isn't like some regular mall food that exists anywhere, the food here is amazing. Bold flavors with a nice spice which isn't over powering. The prices are fair considering you get high end dishes like these

I wake up and doordash their spicy poke bowl, it's so freaking good. I'm gonna stick with them from now

We decided to come back to Banana Leaf and check it out. We arrived to Banana Leaf on a Friday night for dinner. The Malaysian/Thai restaurant is located at the McCarthy Ranch in Milpitas. Plenty of parking is accessible in the large parking lot out front. The Malaysian modern decor still looked similar to when I was last there. It was a bustling and lively Friday night atmosphere. Plenty of tables were packed and the bar was half surrounded with patrons in their bar stools. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes for our table. We ordered Roti Prata, Mango Chicken, Seafood Pad Thai, steam rice, a glass of Chardonnay, and a deep fried banana à la mode. Everything was delicious and authentic. Two of my old favorite dishes there, the Roti Prata and the Pad Thai were just as tasty like I last remembered. The sweet curry sauce and the fluffy Roti Prata went perfect together. Every bite is scrumptious. The Pad Thai were flavorful. Prawns and calamari in the Pad Thai were tender and plentiful. The Mango Chicken was rich and sweet. Finally the deep fried banana was delectable and went very well with the vanilla ice cream. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Banana Leaf. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The vibe was family friendly and welcoming. I am not sure when I will be back but it was nice to return for some nostalgia.

From the moment we had a small issue with our order, instead of trying to help, the manager acted annoyed that we even brought it up. What should have been a simple correction turned into an argument. The manager interrupted constantly, rolled their eyes while we were speaking, and spoke to both customers and staff with a level of disrespect that was honestly uncomfortable to witness. You could tell the employees were tense and afraid to say anything, which probably explains why the service was so disorganized. The worst part was how unapologetic they were. Rather than taking responsibility for mistakes, the manager blamed the kitchen, blamed the servers, and somehow even blamed us. At one point they walked away mid-conversation while we were still talking, which perfectly summed up the entire experience. No matter how good a restaurant's food might be, terrible management ruins everything -- and in this case, the manager made the place feel chaotic, stressful, and completely unwelcome. I won't be returning, and I'd strongly suggest anyone considering this restaurant spend their money somewhere that actually values customers and treats people with basic respect.

The protein comes out fried with a crispy shell and soft inside. The sauce leans hard on lemongrass and citrus but it's savory throughout, not sweet. Haven't had anything like it anywhere else. Orange nuggets are chewy with a citrusy and sweet glaze. Good enough that I skip the actual appetizers for these. The Szechuan Pineapple is spicy, salty, and savory with chewy gluten and a citrus undertone running through it. Green papaya salad is strictly sour and tangy. Fresh, nothing heavy about it. Korean Fried Chicken(no sauce regular) 3.5/5 - The chicken was moist but the flavor and seasoning was mild. Nothing that stands out but good quality. spicy galbijim 5/5 - Star of the show, great taste, big portions, and unique rice cakes(fried). Can't seem to find anywhere else that has this quality along with the cheap price. The MAIN reason why I would rave about this place. Fans of Galbi? Come here.

Handing Tofu was a choice my daughter made to eat at for her bday. We love a good Korean restaurant…read moreso why not. Plenty of parking in the plaza where this restaurant is located. Easy to find. The restaurant itself is pretty small but was able to fit our family of seven. We were treated right when we came in . The lady server was good on attention to detail what we needed and friendly. We tried a few of their dishes but my family was so hungry, I couldn't take a picture fast enough of everything. Haha Tried their whole batch of soy garlic chicken wings. It was cooked well but the outside coating tasted a little overcooked and not as much flavor in the chicken or seasoning. The glaze was not enough. That was a little disappointing for me. Also had their mushroom tofu soup which was added from a combo meal with grilled pork or called Dwae Ji Bulgogi. This was good. Ordered their Galbi short ribs was my favorite. Their seafood pancake was big and crispy. We also had their grilled spicy pork Bulgogi. This was ok, not too spicy but it was more like shredded pork and not a big portion. Actually, for the portion for the meat was pretty expensive to me. Everything now is getting more expensive and smaller portions. We didn't drink alcohol so I can image how much this would be. Our party only ordered 1 soda. We ordered enough and everything was finished or my husband didn't want to leave any food. This was located in Milpitas so if in the area, I would like to try it again. [13R,2026]
