Was visiting the Great Mall with a friend and decided to get some food. Since this is a section of the mall, there is ample seating and the ambiance is pretty much similar to the mall, with a lot of chatter and the seating being surrounded by the various food options you can pick from. I decided to get the Bibimbap. The food had a generous portion size but probably could've been a little bit more flavorful. I suppose it's not too bad for mall food though, as it was filling enough and tasted okay. Overall, an okay experience. It was hard trying to decide between Saucy Asian and a couple of the other food court restaurants that were around it, so next time I might try one of those if I feel like getting mall food again. Although I was curious about some of Saucy Asian's other dishes, I'm not sure if I'll ever return to this location specifically. read more

Absolutely delicious! We went on the day they were celebrating their 1-year anniversary, so we ended up getting a free plate of their tteokbokki. Service was quick even with the long line, but there's even a self order kiosk if anyone needed one We ordered the Saucy Asian and their Burrito bowl - their bulgogi beef and the shrimp were all delicious. The Burrito bowl didn't have too many jalepeños but the tteokbokki was enough to bring enough heat. We can't wait to go again to try other items on their menu! read more

Tacos(soy sauce chicken) [$15, $23 Uber eats, $12 after Uber eats bogo]: the flavor was ok. Prob would have been better off the tortillas were crispy instead of soggy. That may or may not have been due to take out... I'll never know. But honestly it was just ok. Lot of protein but kind felt like it was missing something maybe it needs an avocado. Tacos(beef bulgogi): same issues as the other tacos but the beef bulgogi tasted better imo maybe from the sauce. Ddeoboki: Alright here's where it really gets bad...I think I kinda understand the concept... Is like a fried ddeoboki and the sauce is like more of a fusion sauce that you kinda find on sushi rolls. Lol I felt like it could have used more sauce which is ironic given the name of the restaurant. It tasted dry and kinda chewy but not in a good way...chewy like old and dry. Wasn't good at all Overall, I dunno if it was a bad day or cause I ordered at the end of the day at like 7pm so it's all leftover food but ya everything just was kinda cold/old. With all these chains at the Great Mall food court, I wanted something different. I like Korean food and was intrigued by this Korean street food place. Placed an order on their kiosk. And they just gave a time to come back in a text. So I walked away to find a seat. The place is pretty packed on a weekend. We had to circle around a bit but found a place. I went back in about 10 minutes - they had given me an ETA of 15 minutes. I saw what looked like my bowl sitting there so I asked the worker and she handed over my food. I walked back to my table and then I finally got my text that my food was ready 5 minutes later. Not sure why there was such a delay. If it's ready - just text me. I prefer my food hot and not just sitting there. Anyways I got a bowl with bulgogi. The bulgogi was $2 extra. They had a variety of other proteins, like chicken, pork, tofu, and veggies. You can pick the base for the bowl also. I got half rice and half salad. They also put a small layer of japchae/glass noodles also. Also tasted some kimchi in there too. However I was not a fan of the bulgogi. It was dry and very salty. I was not a fan. I could not eat it all in one sitting. I actually had it the next days and added way more rice and veggies to spread out the saltiness. I would not recommend the bulgogi and I'm sad I had to pay extra for it. The photos of poke bowls for this restaurant were so enticing, so I made plans to try them the next time I was at this mall. I really loved how affordable the food was here. For a poke bowl that leaves you full, anything less than $20 is a steal. I ordered their Island Poke (combo, rice and greens, and fish combo, salmon and tuna). The fish was fresh and we were also given an ample amount. The rice was cooked amazingly, and I was also met with the surprise of fried wonton strips that actually added a nice crunchy texture and flavor to the bowl. The sauces were creamy and enhanced the flavors of the ingredients. There was a little bit more of sauce than I would have liked (can't eat too much fat), but I was able to look past that. The wait times for ordering and arrival of the food were not long. Affordability, ingredient quality, speed, and quantity made me leave as a satisfied foodie with the intent to return. read more

I came here on my lunch break! I got the saucy Asian bowl and the food came out pretty fast. Once I came back to my break room, I opened my food to find that it was only warm, not hot. It had probably been 5 minutes MAX since I received the food to the time I opened the container. I'm not sure if this is because the food was simply warmed up or if the thermal equilibrium of the vegetable temps and meat temps just made it warm or if the container had bad heat retention but the temperature was a bummer. Ask for the spicy aioli. That plus the salsa they gave with the chips definitely gave it the spice it needed. The bulgogi burrito was too sweet for me. But my BF did enjoy it. The chips were not good at all. It was overcooked and hard to eat. We ordered on a tablet and it was pretty easy. i haven't bought lunch at great mall since fresh choice was still around. nearing the end of my seasonal employment here, i decided to put down $15 on the SAUCY ASIAN BOWL. accept cash/card and kiosk/register. welcoming staff open to explaining items + they offer 10% discount for employees. order ready within two minutes. my first impression was, wow it's not warm! temp was like it been out for 20+ min. had to give a taste to eat individual content. base was mini layer of greens, japchae noodles, and rice (i requested it to be spanish). semi overstimulating, i don't see how japchae and rice with spicy mayo can be a pleasant experience. everything had an undertone of sesame oil and was slightly too oily for me. japchae and spanish rice were very underwhelming, not flavorful and desperately needed salt/pepper. for the meat i chose the garlic soy chicken. solid and fair quantity. saw kimchi and some fried shallots but otherwise idk if i got any other veggies/toppings or if it was in minimal quantities. would not get again. i'd rec just a base of rice or noodles, not both. bulgogi is $2 extra, but that is the bestselling protein here. read more

Asian bowl combo is what I chose with base rice and mixed greens and soy garlic chicken placed my order thru a self-service kiosk or by scanning the QR code for a mere price of $13.99 added tax comes to $15.29 but you're getting a lot more for the price. Generous portions yet so fulfilling consist of kimchi, carrots japchae noodles and veggies a great healthy meal lots of protein low on carb definitely my go an alternative over fast food. This spot used to be Hot Dog on a Stick what seems centuries ago. Now it is Saucy Asian and I think it is here to stay. I always see people ordering the kiosk or waiting for a food delivery order. The last time few times to the Great Mall, this was my first food choice. So far I tried the poke bowl and shrimp burrito. The kimchi and pickled veggies can be a little overpowering in the poke bowls so eat at your discretion. The shrimp burrito was massive and I probably should have only ate 1/2 and save the other half for later but I ate the whole thing in my sitting! It was my 2nd time going here when I went a few weeks ago. I really loved all the food that we got. We got the island poke and kimchi fried rice. The rice was flavorful and the sauce in the poke was so good! The portions were really good since it's nice to have leftovers. They were very nice and friendly. They didn't see our order had gone through right away when we ordered online so they gave us a free drink while waiting. The wait wasn't even that bad, but they were super nice and felt bad.
