Ok I've eaten here quite a few times now. I find this place to be one of the better options for mall food. Can't really go wrong with the saucy Asian bowl. It's just rice , jap chae noodles, meat, veggies, and sauce. Cheap and tasty.
The location allows for ordering via a kiosk and there is also a cash register available. I received a coupon for 20% off after ordering from here on Doordash and the coupon did not come with a code. I assumed this meant I would have to order at the cash register so that it could be manually applied. I've attempted to use the coupon twice now with no success. Both times I was met with the same two staff members who claimed they didn't know how to use the cash register and that their manager was on break and would be gone for "uhhhh 20 minutes." Both times, I did not have the time to wait 20 minutes so I left. The first time at the beginning of August, I came at around 1:20pm for lunch, and the second time, I came at the end of August (coupon expiration date lol) around 5:45pm. Perhaps I should've called to ask for the manager's break schedule, but I also think the staff members should've been trained to work the register ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I won't be back to this location. Don't give out coupons if you won't honor them.
True to the name this is the sauciest poke bowl that I've ever had. I found the rice to be mushed together too. These aren't my personal preferences for poke, but the bowl itself had good toppings. The fish is cut in nice chunks. The togo order was packed well.
Was visiting the Great Mall with a friend and decided to get some food. Since this is a section of the mall, there is ample seating and the ambiance is pretty much similar to the mall, with a lot of chatter and the seating being surrounded by the various food options you can pick from. I decided to get the Bibimbap. The food had a generous portion size but probably could've been a little bit more flavorful. I suppose it's not too bad for mall food though, as it was filling enough and tasted okay. Overall, an okay experience. It was hard trying to decide between Saucy Asian and a couple of the other food court restaurants that were around it, so next time I might try one of those if I feel like getting mall food again. Although I was curious about some of Saucy Asian's other dishes, I'm not sure if I'll ever return to this location specifically.

This is in the food court in Great Mall in Milpitas. I got a chicken bowl with rice and noodles and it was very tasty. It was very filling. I got the soy sauce chicken and it was good. I would eat here again.
I love this place because it has a lot of good Korean fusion food and lots of great poke options. Staff was good on recommendations on what I should get based on their own experiences. I'll eventually be back here!
This time, I came to try the $14.99 Bibimbap with salad base, pan fried tofu, and 2 poached eggs ($1.50). Portion size was still decent and fulfilling. Delicious. I am noticing that Saucy Asian really means Saucy here. They really hook up my foods on every order with lots of sauces/heavy creamy sauces. Too generous. Yes, you can customize or make a note when ordering if you want much lesser sauces on yours. Cashier/staff is always attentive and responds quickly. My order was ready after 5-6 minutes of receiving the pager and sitting down. Self service kiosks are very convenient and works well. Still good vibes here. There's usually more lines and crowds at other food stalls in the food court. Evenings are packed with people at the tables. Saucy Asian does have good foods that are high food truck quality. No doubts. My poached eggs were very runny/droopy too. Soft and good. There's always something new to try during each visit.
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaan I hate giving out bad reviews but I thought about it and I just couldn't do 3 stars. Like it's one thing to be mid but to be not good and also pricey that's just a killer. Tacos(soy sauce chicken) [$15, $23 Uber eats, $12 after Uber eats bogo]: the flavor was ok. Prob would have been better off the tortillas were crispy instead of soggy. That may or may not have been due to take out... I'll never know. But honestly it was just ok. Lot of protein but kind felt like it was missing something maybe it needs an avocado. Tacos(beef bulgogi): same issues as the other tacos but the beef bulgogi tasted better imo maybe from the sauce. Ddeoboki: Alright here's where it really gets bad...I think I kinda understand the concept... Is like a fried ddeoboki and the sauce is like more of a fusion sauce that you kinda find on sushi rolls. Lol I felt like it could have used more sauce which is ironic given the name of the restaurant. It tasted dry and kinda chewy but not in a good way...chewy like old and dry. Wasn't good at all Overall, I dunno if it was a bad day or cause I ordered at the end of the day at like 7pm so it's all leftover food but ya everything just was kinda cold/old. I feel like they have a good concept but I feel like they gotta keep the quality control better. At these prices tho it'll be awhile before I come back

Recently opened at the foot court inside Great Mall. This store offered a selection of fusion Asian bowls, burritos, poke bowls, tacos and more. We got the signature saucy Asian bowl with chicken and a saucy Asian poke bowl with salmon. Both bowls came with flavorful and creamy sauce that was slightly sweet. The chicken was tender. We chose mixed veggie and rice as the base, which gave us a balanced amount of veggies and carbs. The store was located at the foot court, so sitting was shared with other stores there. It was a convenient spot for a quick lunch when shopping at Great Mall.
Japchae - 5/5 Bigger portion than I thought for the cost! Lots of flavor. Soy Chicken Cali Burrito - 5/5 Flavorful chicken, crispy fries, yummy sauce, big portion. No complaints at all. Great lunch option!
2 touch screens for orders, quick and friendly service. It took a while to get our order so sit right! Popular place. We got the saucy asian bowl and saucy Asian fries. Saucy Asian bowl we got with japchae, the pork was a little salty but went well with the salad and japchae. 4/5 Saucy Asian fries were not good. The fries tasted like they were days old, very hard and unpleasant even though the topping was nice. 2/5

I got: - bibimbap bowl: the egg is cooked so well, egg white is cooked thoroughly and egg yolk is still runny; the beef is thoroughly marinated and the veggies are crunchy Service is efficient and polite, and you get a buzzer to tell you when your food is ready. The food comes out pretty fast. The overall shared dining area is regularly kept clean inside Great Mall, there is great lighting and high ceilings, and there is plenty of parking in front of the food court entrance. I don't love the restrooms here -- it's hard to get the automatic sink faucets to stay on, and they give a tiny spurt of water on and off while you try to maneuver your hands around. The caulking in the sinks also clearly have a bunch of mold behind/in them, which is gross. Unfortunately other Great Mall bathrooms seem to be in the same condition. If you don't have to use the restroom, this is a great lunch spot! read more
Had a catered lunch with them. Food arrived on time, for over 200 people, so happy to see that is not a concern. Our menu included Soy Sauce Chicken, Spicy Pork, Japchae Noodle, Pan Fried Cubed Tofu, Shredded Cabbage and Carrot, Kimchi with shrimp, and fresh fruits. At first I thought the Soy Sauce Chicken was like the Chinese kind of cut-up chicken with skin and bones, but it's actually smaller pieces of chicken meat in soy sauce flavor. Kinda dry for me. The Spicy Pork is hella spicy! And when it's spicy, you can't taste any other flavors. Japchae Noodle was just plain mung bean noodle with soy sauce, no other ingredients. It's salty and the more you eat the saltier it gets. This is usually my go to dish but now I'm disappointed. Shredded Cabbage and Carrot is very light in flavor, just boiled chopped veg. It's useful to mix them with the over-seasoned meat. The cubed tofu is ok, probably my least complained dish. In general, it's a very simple lunch with little to highlight. read more

With all these chains at the Great Mall food court, I wanted something different. I like Korean food and was intrigued by this Korean street food place. Placed an order on their kiosk. And they just gave a time to come back in a text. So I walked away to find a seat. The place is pretty packed on a weekend. We had to circle around a bit but found a place. I went back in about 10 minutes - they had given me an ETA of 15 minutes. I saw what looked like my bowl sitting there so I asked the worker and she handed over my food. I walked back to my table and then I finally got my text that my food was ready 5 minutes later. Not sure why there was such a delay. If it's ready - just text me. I prefer my food hot and not just sitting there. Anyways I got a bowl with bulgogi. The bulgogi was $2 extra. They had a variety of other proteins, like chicken, pork, tofu, and veggies. You can pick the base for the bowl also. I got half rice and half salad. They also put a small layer of japchae/glass noodles also. Also tasted some kimchi in there too. However I was not a fan of the bulgogi. It was dry and very salty. I was not a fan. I could not eat it all in one sitting. I actually had it the next days and added way more rice and veggies to spread out the saltiness. I would not recommend the bulgogi and I'm sad I had to pay extra for it. I may try their other proteins but what I did have was meh. read more

Friendly staff and quick service! After an afternoon stroll and shopping spree, I passed through the food court on the hunt for some vegan food. I hadn't seen this restaurant before and did not want food from a typical chain. I then saw tofu on their menu and ordered their Saucy Asian bowl. It was very filling and tasty! If it were served on a plate I might have thought I was in a nice Asian-fusion restaurant. I would definitely come back for more. read more
Had a great time eating at this restaurant! It's a new location that opened up recently in great mall. They serve Korean Mexican fusion dishes from burritos with Korean meat and bibimbap. It's a hot new restaurant that's popular. It took about 10 minutes for our order to come in and we sat down at the food court to eat. It was a fair price for $15 per item. The burrito was very filling, with my choice of meat as soy garlic chicken. The avocado cream was delicious and refreshing. I was happy with my selection and i hope this restaurant thrives! The photos of poke bowls for this restaurant were so enticing, so I made plans to try them the next time I was at this mall. I really loved how affordable the food was here. For a poke bowl that leaves you full, anything less than $20 is a steal. I ordered their Island Poke (combo, rice and greens, and fish combo, salmon and tuna). The fish was fresh and we were also given an ample amount. The rice was cooked amazingly, and I was also met with the surprise of fried wonton strips that actually added a nice crunchy texture and flavor to the bowl. The sauces were creamy and enhanced the flavors of the ingredients. There was a little bit more of sauce than I would have liked (can't eat too much fat), but I was able to look past that. The wait times for ordering and arrival of the food were not long. Affordability, ingredient quality, speed, and quantity made me leave as a satisfied foodie with the intent to return. read more
This place is at the Great Mall food court. Had the Cali Burrito with soy chicken. Pretty big burrito. Loaded with guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo. This burrito with the chicken had a sweeter flavor. I wanted a little spice to it so I asked for a side of gochujang aioli. Also, asked to have the fries on the side instead of in the burrito. The burrito came with a side of chips and salsa. Chips were like a cross between pita chips and tortilla chips. The staff were very nice. Took a out 15 min to get the food. I came here on my lunch break! I got the saucy Asian bowl and the food came out pretty fast. Once I came back to my break room, I opened my food to find that it was only warm, not hot. It had probably been 5 minutes MAX since I received the food to the time I opened the container. I'm not sure if this is because the food was simply warmed up or if the thermal equilibrium of the vegetable temps and meat temps just made it warm or if the container had bad heat retention but the temperature was a bummer. Otherwise, the food was ok. The meat and the sauce on the top was good. I got a half veggie and half rice bowl. There definitely could have been more meat for the price. Ingredients were fresh. Unfortunately, I would not come back. read more

The fries are loaded with 2 sauces that complement each other well. One is a tangy, slightly spicy sauce that adds a good kick. The other is a rich, cheesy white sauce. Pair all of that with the sweet bulgogi and the crispy, thin fries and it's a great meal. - Saucy Asian Bowl 4/5: I chose mixed greens and beef bulgogi for my bowl. This bowl had almost everything I would want. It was well balanced, they gave good portions, and everything was flavored nicely. - Service 5/5: The staff working on 7/24 were great. They asked us clarifying questions about our food to ensure that we were satisfied with our food and asked us how we liked the food. They were also pleasant and made our food quickly. read more
A hidden gem at the Great Mall! Saucy Asian blends Korean fusion food in a tasty way. We placed our order via a screen, although they were taking orders from the register. The food came out quickly. It wasn't as busy at the actual stall, but the Great Mall cafeteria seating was busy per usual. I got my bowl with mixed greens and rice, soy sauce chicken, and had it topped with green onions and their orange sauce. They also layered some japchae noodles between the chicken and rice. Everything tasted freshly cooked and I was surprised by how plentiful the chicken was. I'm always worried about takeout places skimping out on the protein, but there was a lot in the bowl! Def recommend if you want something quick and filling at the Great Mall. read more
I noticed this new food joint took this empty space after a long period of nothing? I came here twice to taste one of the Poki items and the bibimbap. I gotta admit, these are decent real restaurant quality items. This isn't like some regular mall food that exists anywhere, the food here is amazing. Absolutely delicious! We went on the day they were celebrating their 1-year anniversary, so we ended up getting a free plate of their tteokbokki. Service was quick even with the long line, but there's even a self order kiosk if anyone needed one We ordered the Saucy Asian and their Burrito bowl - their bulgogi beef and the shrimp were all delicious. The Burrito bowl didn't have too many jalepeños but the tteokbokki was enough to bring enough heat. We can't wait to go again to try other items on their menu! read more
So happy saucy Asian came down -- we used to go to this place in college, so it has good memories for us. The pork burrito is good spicy creamy. The Ramen left much to be desired. It was super Duper hard to eat. The jalapeños were extremely spicy, which made me cough a lot. The egg was OK. It was poached over poached. I like the noodles. The soup was crazy. read more
Just oped up in our food court at the great mall. 2 kiosk to put in your order,quick and easy. On their menu they offer burritos, bowls and poke, all types of asian street food options.. I really wanted to try the poke bowl, it was okay. I ordered the island poke which had a miso sauce. It was a bit too sweet for my taste. I added some sriracha hot sauce and soy sauce. Saucy Asian is located at the great mall and I was following them on Instagram so I was excited to try them. I got the japchae noodles with beef Bulgogi and some fried Gyoza on the side. For as much food as they give you in the balls, definitely think it's worth the price point especially in the food court at the mall where they tend to overpriced their food items. The menu is somewhat small, but you're bound to find something that's good and with lots of flavor. The lady at the cashier that helped us was super friendly, inviting and helpful. She took time to explain the menu and was very patient. read more

Absolutely delicious! The food and service were both a 10/10! You order on an iPad and they call your name when the food is ready (which is great for people who are introverted). I don't know what I expected but it definitely wasn't this greatness! Highly recommend the tofu and the beef bulgogi (which were my personal favorites). read more

Came here for a quick dinner before going home and we ended up getting full from eating these burritos. I enjoyed the shrimp burrito. It was nice that the shrimp was not overcooked. Ask for the spicy aioli. That plus the salsa they gave with the chips definitely gave it the spice it needed. The bulgogi burrito was too sweet for me. But my BF did enjoy it. The chips were not good at all. It was overcooked and hard to eat. We ordered on a tablet and it was pretty easy. Since it is a food court it was pretty loud since there were a lot of people but still good to eat. read more
Great Mall's food court scene just got an upgrade! This place has the most comfort delicious and spicy food we only tried spicy Asian bowl but can't wait to come back for more. Service was super quick and the food court has plenty of seating so sit anywhere. read more
i haven't bought lunch at great mall since fresh choice was still around. nearing the end of my seasonal employment here, i decided to put down $15 on the SAUCY ASIAN BOWL. accept cash/card and kiosk/register. welcoming staff open to explaining items + they offer 10% discount for employees. order ready within two minutes. my first impression was, wow it's not warm! temp was like it been out for 20+ min. had to give a taste to eat individual content. base was mini layer of greens, japchae noodles, and rice (i requested it to be spanish). semi overstimulating, i don't see how japchae and rice with spicy mayo can be a pleasant experience. everything had an undertone of sesame oil and was slightly too oily for me. japchae and spanish rice were very underwhelming, not flavorful and desperately needed salt/pepper. for the meat i chose the garlic soy chicken. solid and fair quantity. saw kimchi and some fried shallots but otherwise idk if i got any other veggies/toppings or if it was in minimal quantities. would not get again. i'd rec just a base of rice or noodles, not both. bulgogi is $2 extra, but that is the bestselling protein here. read more

Stopped by Saucy Asian while shopping at Great Mall and was pleasantly surprised with their vegetarian options. The vibe is modern and casual, kind of like a trendy Korean street-food spot with fast-casual service. I tried their Spicy Asian bowl & Bibimbap & it was packed with flavor. The spicy chicken meat was nice & tender. The sauces really make the difference here (no surprise given the name). Loved their Tacos. The sides were solid too. the fries with aioli were addictive. Portion sizes are great for mall food. Service was quick and friendly, and the space felt cleaner. Overall, I would call it one of the better food choices inside Great Mall if you are craving something flavorful & different from the usual chains. Would definitely come back for another bowl! read more
