We have had our unit here since 2013 and have been very satisfied with all aspects of this facility. I really want to give more than 5 stars to the office staff Debbie and Gretchen and especially Peggy. Peggy has gone above and beyond to help me for over a week dealing with a security issue while I was out of state and personally unable to handle. Thank You Peggy, YOU ROCK!!! Every person over the years has been very friendly to deal with and actually did what ever was needed to keep me happy. The customer service I have experienced at this location is like a breath of fresh air compared to the current climate of "crappy customer service" at so many other businesses. read more

Let's see, first of all gate hours are ridiculous! If you have a regular 9-6 work schedule you will not be able to use your unit because those are the same as gate hours. Second of all, they pressure people to come in, I made a reservation and got more than 5 calls about it, I was hesitant to give my new number once I rented the unit and Evelyn stated no worries we will only call for emergencies, well 7 more calls later, not using the unit isn't an emergency. I got tricked into signing too quick before I knew gate hours so I won't even bother. Then Evelyn asked me to leave a review while she finished the paperwork, "but we only accept 5 star rating reviews" what in the world? Whatever happened to free speech in the constitution? I can rate you what I feel you deserve to be rated. In this case I'm unhappy with it all and aggravated that you would even ask, specially lying to me, "while I finish your paperwork, just a few more minutes" like she is doing me the favor to give me something to do while I wait... I declined and suddenly she was done already. Wow! She was lying! The paperwork was done! So distasteful! Everyone wants reviews and you can ask pleasantly, but cannot pressure anyone, nor say you only accept 5 star reviews! So here I gave you a one star just because I could not do minus 5. Oh and Crystal please stop smoking on the side of the building, your baby is almost due and is disgusting to see a super pregnant woman smoke her baby's health away and give customers second hand smoke while at it. I rented a 10x10 unit on June 9th and on june 19 it was broken into. No cameras looking down the aisles of drive up units. You would think that when you spend a little extra for a drive up unit that it would at least have a camera on it. Nothing is safe anymore. Tweekers suck. read more

Be forewarned! My son's unit was broken into while on summer break from college and now the 'required' in-house insurance is refusing to pay. Seriously? But wait, there is more: apparently the lock to the unit was picked which implies the perpetrator had access to the interior hallway (that's curious). Small print says this is a 'theft' and not 'burglary' and therefore they aren't required to pay. That is a very convenient parsing of definitions. So let me parse some words of my own: trust your valuables to a different storage company. read more

Great staff. I just recently went in and had a great experience with Debbie. Very customer friendly and knowledgeable.

So far, so good. The girls are all very nice. My only complaint is the constant sales attempts to get you to buy boxes, wrap, etc. The units are bare bones and smell a little of rat poison, but that's to be expected - I think? Awesome and easy. The first month is actually about $60 out the door including insurance and a $17 lock which you keep of course. Gretchen is very helpful assuming you're a polite, reasonable person. Prices have climbed and gate hours have evidently shortened. I have paperwork showing the gate closes at 9 and they locked me in at 6. This change was apparently made Dec of 2017 with no notice received on my end, and no walkthrough conducted. A simple walk and they would have seen my car inside the gates. read more

I was a customer here for 3 years. Always paid my bill. Moved out way before my last day to be there. I notified the gentleman in front office that I was waiting for the last couple of things to get picked up by people who were buying them. They came picked it all up, then I cleaned it out and left it unlocked in the exact same condition I was given it in. They still charged me for an extra month then put it in collection. Anyone I've ever spoken to about this has been very defensive, confrontational, and has had thee worst attitude towards resolving this. I've emailed them with zero response. And Brianna (in customer service) has absolutely no professionalism and a serious attitude problem and condescending tone. So does the woman in the this particular office I believe her name is Michelle. They are the worst company I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Also my friend was recently robbed as their facility is not secure and could've been an inside job (different location). Do yourself a favor and use another company. I've also realized that storage is stupid. Sell your things, minimalism is the way to go! Your welcome! read more

My father in law was looking for a storage unit yesterday. I reserved a unit online. Debbie had called him to confirm and was very snippy on the phone. We arrived to the office about 15 mins later. When we got there she had an attitude. I told her we had an online reservation. She replied are you sure I don't have anything online that came thru. I said you just called us about 15 mins ago. She goes well your unit will be almost double the amt as online. I said what. She said ya you would know if you reserved online. I asked if we didn't deserve online then why the hell did you call us?? I don't know if she started her period and didn't have pads or what but she is the rudest person I've ever dealt with. She was even nasty with the lady after us. We decided to go to the location in Westminster and the man there was extremely nice. As we were check-in into the other location another lady kept calling from orange. Sorry maybe if Debbie wasn't such a bitch we would of stayed. Also got a better deal in westminster. read more

Clean storage facility. Very easy to access. Super friendly personell.

This place has the potential to be 5 stars. Maintenance is a problem --There are so many burned out light bulbs in the place. Four bulbs outside my unit are burned out, so the inside of my unit is very, very dark. You can't see box labels, read files, or anything. Three requests to the desk guys have yielded no results. They say upper management is not doing any maintenance. Also, this place raises the rent on you a lot. read more

Gretchen and Debbie were so friendly and welcoming that this place really feels like a "home away from home" for all of my belongings while I am in between moving. Gretchen remembered me from when I briefly rented a storage unit three years prior at another Public Storage location, which made me feel even more like a valued customer. I told her that it was such a relief to see a familiar face during this tumultuous moving time. And I love this location because they have the outside storage units where you can pull directly up to the unit in your car. I highly recommend this location and the helpful staff. read more

UPDATE: Unfortunately, they jack up their prices every year, more than any reasonable cost of living / doing business would justify. So if you rent here, expect the price to jump at least $20 a month each year. First, the sales: Heather helped me get set up at this facility and it went very smoothly. I had checked a few others in the area but they had such irritating sales pitches ("Well if you don't sign now the unit probably won't be available tomorrow, heck, probably not even in 2 hours! What are you waiting for?!") that I just kept leaving them. Heather didn't try any of that, she was listened to what I needed, showed it to me, and was friendly throughout the process. Of course she did offer the other services and products aside from the storage itself, but it was not pushy. When I asked for me detail on what exactly the insurance covers, she showed me the full paperwork and talked me through it. The unit itself: Nice, for what it is. The walls were solid and had no gaps (unlike several other facilities I visited). There was overhead lighting. Doors operated well. Security cameras, gate and general layout (lots of visibility) gives the feeling that the place is secure. Price: On the high side. Roughly $40 more than a same size unit at other facilities, and I'm not sure it is justified. Summary: The unit was better than same-size units at other local facilities, the price is high, but what sold me in the end was Heather's pleasant and helpful customer service. read more

Started renting a unit in July 2014. Getting set up was easy, I use the auto pay so no worries and I get an e-mail confirmation each payment. I worked with Gretchen to get the unit and auto-pay set up, and still remember how helpful and courteous she was. I'd recommend this Public Storage location to my best friend. read more

Earlier this year, items were stolen from my parents storage unit at the Collins location - even though the lock was in place. On top of that - when the rental price was increased, my dad asked an employee if all rental units across the board had an increase - and they were that only certain ones increased. Needless to say my parents moved out of that storage unit as soon as possible. read more
