I requested my vehicle to be shipped around 3 weeks in advance and was passive aggressively told this was too early and not "industry standard" after I received order confirmation. It wasn't until 5 days before needing my car shipped that I received an email saying that my price needed to be increased $300 due to conflicts in the Middle East (which I completely understand how that affects a car shipping company's costs). However it is wrong to expect established customers with confirmed and agreed upon orders to make up for costs due to current issues. I tried to communicate with Tiffany and was pretty much given a copy and paste of the previous email sent to me regarding my, again, already confirmed price needing to increase $300. This was all around very dismissive and I ended up cancelling my order entirely due to the disrespect I felt I received from this company. I shipped my car from the west coast to the east coast. Not pointing fault to the driver or OAT. Just leave time in your schedule for pick up and delivery delays. Everything about the booking process went well; I was in contact with Travis and Penny. It cost nearly as much to move my daughter's car as it did to move both our cars from Orange County to the Boise area, of course attributable to the longer distance. This time they contracted with Diesel Auto Express (another review) and, though Diesel Auto took care of us, the pick-up communication process did not go as well. After much research it was between OAT and another provider. Prices were comparable, so I simply asked OAT if they could go down on price. I rcvd a huge 3 paragraph email from Tiffany Weaver, rudely venting on there price and for me to be cautious of other companies prices and to look for consistency across various review platforms and at the BBB; all of which I had already done. With all that said I still went with OAT and without fail they failed me. The first driver wanted us to drive the car to him (roughly 15 miles out and/or pay for an uber driver for him to pick up my car and drive it to his location) OAT cancelled his contract and put me with another driver. The second driver picked up the vehicle within 24 hours; however, he sat with it for a week before getting it to us. OAT took over and assured us this has never happened (what ever) and that same driver who had my vehicle for 1 week without moving delivered my vehicle a week later. Basically at the end it took roughly 2 weeks to get my car to me not 5-7 days. Also when looking up review's and BBB, you are only getting reviews from OAT, they are hiring 3rd party companies that you are not familiar with and those are the companies one should be looking at for reviews and BBB. Tiffany needs to have better manners she is rude and this entire ordeal proved her to be wrong within the company she seemed to brag about. Any customer looking to transport should ask what transport companies they use so you can review and check out. There's always going to be some unease when you hand over your car and your key to a stranger, but Orange Auto Transport can help ease your worries just a bit more. The price is extremely fair, one of the best quotes I was given. They arranged it for pickup in the allotted time and although the delivery was a day late, I understand that that's just part of the business and when a carrier is trucking 10 cars 3000 miles, it's to be expected delays happen. However, Mike was a fantastic and nice dude, constantly communicated with me and as promised delivered the car straight to my door. Look I assume these businesses don't get much repeat business, so they make their money off pure volume and it's easy enough for them to just schedule the pick up and wash their hands of you, because chances are they're not going to see you anytime soon.
